Well, you've read the notes, the notes were irritating, and now it is time for you to post until the irritating cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: FOUDROYANT!
-
Very first post after BK!
-
George, you have been reading my mind. I was going to ask you if you thought TAO would be interested in the show.
-
George, you have been reading my mind. I was going to ask you if you thought TAO would be interested in the show.
It's possible. Maybe not this upcoming season, though. For the first time in quite a while, we have a posted season. But maybe in between some things.
-
Chris had offered TLT for a (short?) run of "The HEAD!" Maybe we can switch each other's shows?

Good idea. When is THE HEAD going to be at TLT?

I think it was talked about for sometime in the spring or early summer. Nothing is finalized, yet.
-
Well, TAO would probably want to do WRECKS with their own actor.
-
I guess George has gone night-night. I don't blame him, he has to work tomorrow.
-
I wish I could have been there
-
I keep falling asleep when I want to be awake and waking up when I should be sleeping terribly annoying
-
I will try and get back to sleep now and see if i can break this cycle
-
I wish I could have been there
I wish you could have been there, also.
-
I guess George has gone night-night. I don't blame him, he has to work tomorrow.
I do, but I haven't left yet. I was finishing up a covert audio recording that I made very, very, very (that's three verys) recently.
;)
-
If you know what I'm saying.
-
And I think that you do.
-
:D
-
Good morning to all
-
This weekend I will make another attempt to watch the Wiz. I stopped yesterday after ll the commercials. It seemed like every ten minutes of show there was twelve minutes of commercials. I can fast forward through those.
-
I also think I broke my big toe on my right foot. I will have to go to the clinic after work to see if I am right.
-
That's a bummer if true, DR Michael. ~ ~ ~ VIBES ~ ~ ~ that it is not so.
-
So glad that the performance went well, DR TCB! I never had any doubt that it would not.
You must be feeling quite relieved, though!
And DC Nicky is probably glad to be done with it, too.
-
~ ~ ~ strongest most excellent vibes and xylophones for the miracle, part three ~ ~ ~ for bk!!!
-
PAGE ONE??
-
Really?
-
REALLY??
-
We can do better.
-
I almost typed "butter."
-
Well, we can probably do butter, too. We can do better butter.
-
We can do PAGE TWO, for instance.
-
Friday!!!
-
Morning, all!
TOD:
Music: my "Kitchen Sink" Pandora radio station (last 5 songs included Tom Lehrer, Bob Newhart, Streisand, and The Cure)
Netflix: assorted "America's Test Kitchen" episodes. Just finished "Beyond the Lighted Stage," a quite excellent documentary on the rock group Rush
Reading: "The Silver Era," biography of Rabbi Eliezer Silver; bunch of interesting comics: "Plutona," "Paper Girls," "Jacked," and "Rowan's Ruin."
-
Good morning, all.
A tossing and turning night. Awake from three to four or thereabouts. Let's hope the day is better.
-
I must needs accomplish some things through the day. Tonight I'm attending an opening of BELL, BOOK AND CANDLE. I've never seen it performed, and everyone in the theater community has been looking forward to it.
-
Good morning, all! At midnight I took a muscle relaxer and I am feeling very drugged this morning. I remember bits of two dreams. In one, I was caught in a time-warp London and could not get back to Manhattan The other had something to do with moving books in a library - could be the NY Public, could be the Library of Congress - and it was a long weekend event,
-
In two more hour I will depart for the bus to my attorney's office. I will sign a new will, and remove my goddaughter's father from my life and death.
-
DR TCB, very excellent news about last night's performance. I wish I could have been there!
-
And I think that you do.
Really?
-
Good morning, all.
Vibes for BK, Michael and anyone else in need.
-
Congratulations, TCB, on a good show. Wish I could have seen it.
-
The holiday baking season has begun: I made two almond-berry tarts this morning. Cookie exchange on Sunday.
-
Tux shirts laundered. Competition wardrobe almost complete.
-
So glad that the performance went well, DR TCB! I never had any doubt that it would not.
You must be feeling quite relieved, though!
And DC Nicky is probably glad to be done with it, too.
You are quite correct about Nicky and about me. I will, however, miss the character.
-
I also think I broke my big toe on my right foot. I will have to go to the clinic after work to see if I am right.
Medical vibes for Michael!
-
Wish we could all have seen the show, TCB!
But this is the one for which no evidence was going to exist, right?
-
Here's comedy for you: We decided to announce last night at midnight so we wouldn't have to get up at six. So, of course I wake up at six - no alarm, just wake up, just like that - but with two really good ideas swimming in my head for the LA revue.
-
So, I got up and wrote those down.
-
And now I'm going back to bed.
-
Wish we could all have seen the show, TCB!
But this is the one for which no evidence was going to exist, right?
That is correct.
-
I have no idea what, if any, musicals are planned around here in 2016 that I'd be interested in or available to work in. It doesn't look to be quite as interesting as the past couple of seasons. But we'll see. There's a FANTASTICKS tentatively planned for early 2017 that would be mine to MD and play if I want it.
-
Sleep vibes and miracle vibes for MR BK.
-
The spam emails have lessened, but now I am getting GIFT CARD emails....I just have to "Click."
-
I am trying to guess the twist in DR TCB's play.......
Congrats on your success!
-
TOD:
I have a few things recorded that we will probably watch:
THE WIZ
DRAFT DAY
WILD
UNBROKEN
-
I never saw THE PICK-UP ARTIST, so I suppose I should do something about that?
I look forward to the CD!
-
I liked THE WIZ LIVE.....with a few exceptions. I have never seen the stage show, only the movie which I hated.....
I liked Elijah Kelley as the Scarecrow and especially Ne-Yo as the Tin Man.....Mary J. Blige as Evilene and Queen Latifah as the Wiz weren't so hot, particularly Blige.
Dorothy was okay....but she was kind of tall and -uh- buxom for the part. And the choreography was strictly from high school....
Then there was Stephanie Mills - who opened the show and tore the house down!
So much better than TSOM and PP - but still kind of clunky and sterile....but I liked it for the most part!
-
And of course it will inspire a lot of sad, broke, long local productions with bad singing, no costumes, and terrible acting......
-
DR JANE that is so true. If we knew it could be done like that, we wouldn't have bothered to mail a check.
Now we have to wonder where the check is.....did they get it? Is it stuck in a mailbag someplace.....under a desk at their office.....dropped on the ground?
-

I also think I broke my big toe on my right foot. I will have to go to the clinic after work to see if I am right.
Ouch!
-
In two more hour I will depart for the bus to my attorney's office. I will sign a new will, and remove my goddaughter's father from my life and death.
I hope you feel better after this is done.
-
The holiday baking season has begun: I made two almond-berry tarts this morning. Cookie exchange on Sunday.
I am on a diet, no baking for me.
-

Now we have to wonder where the check is.....did they get it? Is it stuck in a mailbag someplace.....under a desk at their office.....dropped on the ground?
Are you sure it hadn't been cashed?
-
Yes DR JANE - I checked my bank account online.....no sign of it.
-
JRand, I watched a few clips of The Wiz and have to agree on the clunky and sterile choreography, especially for Brand New Day, which is supposed to be joyous and liberating. The singing had me, though. Thought the version of Home was really good. (Whoever designed her costume should be shot.)
I liked Blige. I hated the camerawork on her big number.
-
I want to see Stephanie Mills.
-
Yes DR JANE - I checked my bank account online.....no sign of it.
Last time I checked it was kind of pricey to stop a check. I hope you don't have to do that.
-
I am slowly reading THE LAST BUS TO WISDOM by Ivan Doig. It is also his last book. Doig who is one of my favorite authors passed away in April. It is bittersweet knowing this will be the last book of his I will read for the first time. He was only 76.
We had the good fortune to hear him speak and he was just as wonderful in person, maybe more so, as his writing. I rate him as the best author I have seen/heard speak.
-
DR George I went to the eBook library to put a hold on a book in my wishlist. It said "no longer available". I am shocked. Is this common in Washington?
-
Yes, it is, DR JANE.....I'm hoping I look one day and it's been cashed by Social Security.....we can always get our money back from them if they cash the check AND take it out of a payment......but without the physical check, there's really nothing we can do.
-
Vibes the check is soon found!!!!
-
Slept another ninety minutes. Helper has come and gone.
-
Thanks DR JANE....
-
Miracle part three should happen today. Whew! Part four in a week or two, hopefully.
-
I also think I broke my big toe on my right foot. I will have to go to the clinic after work to see if I am right.
~~~Toe Vibes for Michael!!~~~
And of course it will inspire a lot of sad, broke, long local productions with bad singing, no costumes, and terrible acting......
And then there's this...The Wiz Racist? Twitter Explodes In Furious Argument Over Show’s All Black Cast (http://hollywoodlife.com/2015/12/03/the-wiz-live-racist-all-black-cast-nbc-twitter/).
WTF?? :o
Just because he died, that doesn't mean that it'll be his last book. There could be other books that he was writing, just not yet published. Even if they weren't finished, there could be enough written that someone else could finish them. It happens all the time.
DR George I went to the eBook library to put a hold on a book in my wishlist. It said "no longer available". I am shocked. Is this common in Washington?
It's not a Washington issue. Some rights are based on the number of check-outs (26 or 52 are common) and once it reaches that number, it's no longer available until your library rebuys it. Rights can also based on time owned. Some can be one year or two years, then they're gone.
-
It's all about the money and the control.
:P
-
I am home with a new will and a copy for my executors. The original resides with my attorney.
-
Should I make out my deposit slip DR ELMORE?
-
Back from a chicken salad sandwich, a cup of chicken soup, and then picked up one little package.
-
Should I make out my deposit slip DR ELMORE?
But of course!
-
Great.
Miracle Part Three vibes continue for MR BK.
-
Friday afternoon greetings! I met my friend Becky for a late breakfast at Starbucks and we visited for a lo-o-o-ong time. Went from there to do some errands and shopping. It's really cold here today, so I cut my afternoon short and came home to continue decking the halls. Winter must be upon us, because Richard has begun swapping the screens for the storm windows...
-
I am curious for the people who watched The Wiz on the west coast (I presume on tape delay) did the little logo on the bottom left of the screen say "NBC LIVE" or just "NBC"?
-
Good afternoon!
-
Slow afternoon.
-
Four!!
-
Good afternoon!
Hi, Tom!
-
I'm working on evaluations for my staff. They're good people, but I just don't like doing these, nor do I write quickly. ::)
-
Hello, everyone.
-
Congrats to TCB! I hope you'l have an opportunity to do the role again.
-
It was a stressful week for me, too. I mentioned the tire trouble the other day, plus there were some other annoyances. Nothing horrible, but it got to me. Too much at once, I think.
-
Congratulations, TCB! I'm glad you had such a successful show!
-
An astrologer I know sends out emails from time to time. One came the other day that mentioned all sorts of potential problems. Her bottom line: lay low.
-
continued miracle vibes to BK!
-
Yesterday I ordered a pair of computer glasses from Warby Parker. I like many of their frames and their prices are VERY good. First time ordering from an online optician. They now have a couple bricks-and-mortar stores in LA, which helps, though I like their free home try-ons, which anyone can do. We shall see how this works out.
He wrote his last 4 books while he battled cancer. I suppose it is possible he began another book but I would be surprised it hasn't been mentioned. I suspect he knew he would not be able to finish another novel.
The book begins with a quote from Jack Kerouac :On the Road" that not only fits the book but the fact that it is his last.
What is that feeling when you're driving away from people and they recede on the plain till you see their specks dispersing?-it's the too-huge world vaulting us, and it's good-by. But we lean forward to the next crazy venture beneath the skies.
Or with my knowledge I'm reading more into the quote.
-
I have no other news.
Vibes to all.
TTFN.
I thought libraries weren't purchasing books with this limitation. I wish I had been told when I put it on my wishlist-guess that would be difficult for them to do.
Maybe they will renew the purchase, before I buy it.
Yup. Thanks for answering my question.
How do you feel?
Our bed is going to be replaced :) We are very impressed with the service.
Good!
Each library can decide if it wants to purchase e-books that have these restrictions, but if they don't, their patrons won't get those books at all.
Very true. I just wish I had known to hurry up and read it-lol.
-
Our bed is going to be replaced
Good!
Very. They could have fought us on that. I'm sure the horrid other furniture store would have. The repairman did return today and fix the buffet and take the extra, mismatched part they sent us. He said he would send an email for them to pick up the chair that doesn't work, which they should have done multiple phone calls ago.
-
Well, it's time for me to leave work and go to my parents' house. My sister and niece are there, so hopefully they'll stay for a while after I get there.
Be back later!
-
Finished the Bosch series, and The Danish Girl has arrived, along with something called Suffragette.
-
I've read the Bosch books, not sure I want to watch the series. I'm curious about Suffragette.
-
Apparently, prior to reading "The Man in the High Castle" I requested the Ashland library order it. It just came in. Having just watched the series,which is rather different from the book, I want to re-read the ending of the novel.
-
It was a glorious day and I took three walks. My evening one was especially beautiful.
-
We are watching the movie Man from Uncle...I know that is not how it is typed.
-
Wow! This is fun!
-
Five!
-
TCB congrats on a great show last night. I've read some of the comments on your FB and it sounds like it was a real treat. Wish I could have been there
-
I'm all alone....so all alone
-
Or as my insurance guy says...you don't live alone...you have cats
-
Truer words have never been spoken
-
It's a really long way to go to page 6 not sure I can do it
-
LOVED the Piano Guys the other night
-
They have a unique show. Our reviewer called them the Mormon Manheim Steamroller
-
It was a great breath of fresh air at this time
-
I don't have much else to say today.
-
Vibes of health and safety to everyone
-
Finished with The Danish Girl, which I enjoyed.
-
I'm sorry, Cilla, I was watching TV.
-
I thought I was alone.
-
So I didn't think there was any hurry.
-
You snuck in and out when I wasn't looking. Sorry about that.
-
And I missed BK also.
-
Thank you all for the congratulations and good wishes for last night's show.
-
I wish I had gotten to have a preview audience before the show, so that I could have been more in tune with the audience reaction.
-
I'm just listening to music.
-
Page five? Really?
-
I gotta tell you.
-
Oh well. Could have.... should have..... Moving on to something new.
-
Page five is a lot better than page three.
-
There is still two hours until midnight.
-
We are almost up to page six.
-
Paging page six.
-
I think I am still tired.
-
I didn't sleep well last night, but I took a nap this afternoon.
-
Coming up next.
-
Six!
-
It looks like we are going to have another rainy weekend.
-
Well, it is December.
-
I would rather that it was snow.
-
I doubt that will happen this year.
-
Finished with The Danish Girl, which I enjoyed.
The actress in Man From U.N.C.L.E was also in Danish Girl.
-
Over all we were rather disappointed in the movie.
-
El Niño is supposed to give us a warmer winter. Not good news for snow lovers.
-
I will take it.
-
Over all we were rather disappointed in the movie.
Which movie. I read terrible reviews for THE MAN FROM U.N.C.L.E.
-
I will take it.
You don't like snow?
-
I guess Jane has gone.
-
I was and will be again soon.
-
I used to love snow but years of shoveling it and driving in it cured me. I am very happy to see it in the mountains.
-
I used to love snow but years of shoveling it and driving in it cured me. I am very happy to see it in the mountains.
But you wouldn't have to shovel it at the condo would you?
-
I live in an apartment and I don't have to shovel it.
-
Good night, Jane?
-
I used to love snow but years of shoveling it and driving in it cured me. I am very happy to see it in the mountains.
But you wouldn't have to shovel it at the condo would you?
Nope :)
Actually I am more concerned about ice than snow. I can walk in snow but not ice.
-
'night Tom.
-
Rain? What's rain?
