Well, you've read the notes, the notes were another day and different, and now it is time for you to post until the different cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: SPOONERISM!
-
First post after BK!
-
Hello, George! Thanks for the gift.
-
You're welcome!
-
Did you just get home from your parent's house?
-
Did you just get home from your parent's house?
I drove my sister to her home and got to my place just around midnight. The HHW day had already changed when I was finally able to log in.
-
Well, I guess I had better try to sleep.
-
Good night, George.
-
Good night, Tom! Have a good day, today!
-
Well, I need to go to sleep now, as well. Today, I have to go to work and finish my evaluations for my staff. I MUST get them done today!
Have a good day, everyone else, too!
-
And the word of the day is: SPOONERISM!
A word I actually know without looking it up!
-
Good early morning to all
-
Excuse me, ma'am, but I think your hat is on fire.

-
bk hasn't heard of Ms. Heard?
-
Well, I heard that you had heard of Ms. Heard!
-
Very glad for the news of the miracle, Part III.
-
And, even more wonderful - the heartening news about Richard Sherman. :)
-
We watched DRAFT DAY with Kevin Costner and Jennifer Gardner last night.
Even if, like me, you don't follow football, it's a very entertaining film.
-
TOD:
I really detest everything P.C.
Fort Hood and, quite possibly, this San Bernadino tragedy would not have happened if it wasn't for our P.C. culture.
-
Excuse me, ma'am, but I think your hat is on fire.

Our church was started by a group of Lutherans of Swedish heritage be we celebrate Santa Lucia each year. Vixter was chosen to be Lucia one year I have to th and find and scan in the photo
-
Sorry to have been E&t. I keep falling asleep
-
Good morning, all!
I, too, look forward to more about Mr Sherman's song.
-
Tonight I will see my goddaughter Charlotte in a Spanish Renaissance play, Life Is A Dream. Today, I have no plans of any sort. i do have a Monday crammed with incident.
-
DR TCB, I believe you mentioned that there is one more presentation of your show? Did I hear that right?
-
I wonder if there will be something for me to listen to in my Christmas stocking
-
Good Saturday morning, all.
-
BELL, BOOK AND CANDLE was ... okay ... last night. It's nice to see it done, and the production was very stylish, but there was a lack of chemistry between the two leads who both seemed to be phoning it in. It's too bad, because the datedness of the book really showed through as a result.

I would agree with that now. I'd never seen it on stage, or even read it, so last week I did finally read through it quickly which prepared me for a bit of letdown. I hoped, of course, that they would overcome its weaknesses, and it looked hopeful at first, but it was not to be.
I love the movie, too. I only knew it as a kid on black and white TV, then later in color on the murky DVD. The Twilight Time Blu-ray is beautiful. I'll be watching it soon with a couple of the people who saw the play with me last night. They don't know the movie so I'm interested in their reactions.

Saturday morning greetings! We had frozen fog here in SW Ohio overnight. How do I know that? Well, I was up looking out the windows at 4:30am because I'd been awake since 3. Finally settled down in my Momcave recliner and listened to some Bryn Terfel and went back to sleep until Rob came in from work about 9.
-
BBAC is a favorite film of mine as well. I have seen the play a couple of times, and it is a disappointment. In one production, the Gillian was.....to put it politely.....plain..... Nicky usually steals the show.
-
Richard and I have plans to go to Mom's storage locker today and retrieve some Christmas decorations for her to play with in her room.
-
Yes DR GINNY - the fog is finally clearing here.
Like DR DRUXY, I am annoyed, astonished, and repulsed by the PC Brigade.....and Safe Places and Trigger Warnings and all the $#)^ that goes with it.

Nicky owned this one, too. He played it almost a little too Paul Lynde in character, but he held that in check just enough that it worked.
-
Good Morning. And a lovely, sunny Saturday it is, too.

DR TCB, I believe you mentioned that there is one more presentation of your show? Did I hear that right?
Sadly, no, although I truly wish that there was one.

I don't care for the film, but I really dislike the play.

I just finished this wonderful. moving chronicle of a German Jewish family, which I found intensely heartbreaking and eery. It has a great cast of characters, from the inquisitive author to her dead relations and the various spiritualists, psychics, and historians she consults to learn about her great-great-grandmother and when the lines between historical accuracy and assumptions about a haunting mesh.
And yes, Virginia, there is a ghost.
-
And, even more wonderful - the heartening news about Richard Sherman. :)
Definately!
-
That looks like a good book DR ELMORE

That looks like a good book DR ELMORE
Most of the complaints on Amazon feel the book has less to do with ghostly appearances and hauntings and more about a family chronicle. They can go back and reread The Shining. I liked it very much.

"Trigger warnings." ::) TAO had a BIG discusion when we did Neil LaBute's "In a Dark, Dark House," earlier this year. The person who was originally cast to play the girl felt that she couldn't play the role because of issues and experiences in her life (which I certainly can respect), but then she practically demanded that we put trigger warnings on the poster to warn, or at least prepare, everyone for an experience that really wasn't set up or intended to be what she expected.
-
It was all for naught. I don't think that the show was directed or even written to be the huge flashback-inducing experience that she felt it could potentially be. And as good as it was, it also was the show that we never had more twelve people in the audience for any performance.
What'cha you gonna do?
-

This is an example where negative comments actually encourage you to read the book ;)

I really must get out for a walk, rain or not. I'm sure it will also be colder than yesterday.
-
I'm up, I'm up. I was up at six, did a little writing, fell back asleep around eight, slept till eleven, then slept another forty-five minutes - so somewhere in there I must have gotten eight hours of sleep.
-
Very weird. When I came back to the HHW site, the site brought me to the postings for a day in October - which just happened to be the day we found out about the passing of der Brucer.
-
I am most intrigued by the idea of the new Sherman-Kimmel ditty.
-
The notes regarding the new lyrics was rather moving.
-
Alicia Vikander was lovely in Man from U.N.C.L.E.
-
I walked twice today and missed the rain :)
-
It's not a Sherman/Kimmel ditty - it's all Sherman - I just planted the seed and relentlessly watered it until he wrote it.
-
And that's all he wrote!
-
DRs are not very talkative today.
-
I guess they went out there to LIVE, LIVE, LIVE!
-
Or something like that.
-
PAGE THREE!
-
Ah....I stand corrected.
-
bk, do you know about Royce & Marilyn from Los Angeles?
Kind of like the pair from Grey Gardens, from what I can tell.
Someone is fundraising to complete a documentary about them.
https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/royce-marilyn#/

Watched Brooklyn - I really kind of had zero interest, but it's really good - beautiful, touching, great performances - I'd like to hand the director Benjamin Kritzer.
-
Sitting or lounging corrected is more comfortable.

A Benjamin Kritzer movie would be great!
-
Kay Cole should be here any minute, and then after our little twenty-minute work session I'll head over to the party.

I want to see this.
-
I missed my evening walk as I was on the phone ordering Chanukah gifts for our favorite Portland girls.. I hope they are a hit.
-
After 40 minutes of Life Is A Dream, I beat the hell out of there. It was not good: the director wanted to be Peter Brook but was more peter Schlemiel, mostly of the cast was below amateur stature. Charlotte had energy and potential, but the black box theatre sound was dead and the low energy and low volume of the cast - does no one teach projection to young actors? - rendered too much of the text inaudible. Add to that a continually noodling musical background, a fan providing an attempt at ventilation in a room 20 degrees too warm. and I couldn't wait to get out.
At the first opportune moment i ran.
And i am now home.
-
Another damned PBS fund drive.
Shit.

-
Page three? Really?
-
1 Guest and me.
-
Not too much chance of a conversation.
-
Actually we can have a one-sided conversation.
-
I seem to have a lot of those on this site.
-
I am going to have to put on my best SpongeBoob imitation.
-
He rambles better than any of us.
-
I wonder where SpongeBoob is this evening?
-
He was here a few hours ago.
-
Perhaps he is actually spending some quality time with his husband.
-
I am spending quality time with my cat.
-
Actually, Nicky is sound asleep.
-
I guess he isn't a fan of college football.
-
None of the games are that exciting tonight.
-
I am currently watching North Carolina vs Clemson.
-
I suppose I should be watching Michigan State vs Iowa.
-
Which could explain where Ginny is this evening.
-
Possibly Cilla, as well.
-
Four!
-
I didn't have to go to rehearsal today.
-
I got a call at the last minute.
-
Telling me I was excused.
-
That was a relief.
-
Although I was in the scene being blocked today.
-
My character is asleep thru the entire scene.
-
But I was going to be a trooper and show up.
-
Partly because I am a dedicated team player.
-
But mostly because I am going to miss next Saturday's rehearsal.
-
My friend, Sandy, and I have tickets to the Seattle Symphony next week.
-
Of course, when we were listing conflicts, I put the wrong date down.
-
I put down the 13 rather than the 12.
-
Well, I was close.
-
So, I threw myself on the mercy of our director.
-
So, hopefully I will be excused.
-
Nasty weather around here today.
-
But we might as well get used to it because we have a whole series of storms lined up in the Pacific waiting to come ashore.
-
Oh well, it is December.
-
Which reminds me..........
-
I need to put my tree up tomorrow.
-
Hopefully, I can get my large wreaths up on Monday.
-
I need to go get some heavier fishing line to keep them from flying away.
-
I shall wait until tomorrow to do that.
-
The Seahawk game is on at 10 a.m. tomorrow.
-
A very busy day of doing nothing is planned.
-
Maybe I will wait until Monday morning to go for the fishing line.
-
That way I can be a couch potato all day long tomorrow!!
-
Of course, I have nothing in the house to eat for dinner.
-
Not even anything for sandwiches, including bread.
-
Five

I'm now watching the NBC broadcast of Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade.
-
My least favorite part of being a state employee.

Watching the NBC broadcast of Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade??
;)
-
This Iowa / Michigan game is really a low scoring affair.
-
9 to 6 going into the 4th quarter.
-
I've seen higher scoring baseball games.

Evaluations.
-
I am most intrigued by the idea of the new Sherman-Kimmel ditty.
I want to know when they're going to write a show together! :D
-
I would have rather watched a week-old parade than write my evaluation.

I hear ya! My meeting with my supervisor has been scheduled for this Wednesday.
-
It's not a Sherman/Kimmel ditty - it's all Sherman - I just planted the seed and relentlessly watered it until he wrote it.
I still think you should think about writing a show together.
-
Are you watching the entire parade, or just the Broadway section?
-
I got a health update from Dan M. tonight.
-
Are you watching the entire parade, or just the Broadway section?
I recorded the whole thing to my DVD burner and am going through it, watching the Broadway stuff, and cutting out everything that I don't want to keep. I have the two songs from the CBS broadcast, and I'll burn them all onto a DVD.
-
I got a health update from Dan M. tonight.
And??
-
He doesn't sound like he has been doing too well.
-
He doesn't sound like he has been doing too well.
Oh, no. :(
-
He said he had been very sick with the flu, even though he had a flu shot.
-
I wish I would win the Lotto so that I could help relieve some of his debt.
-
It is hard enough to be so sick, without having the bill collectors hounding you.
-
It is hard enough to be so sick, without having the bill collectors hounding you.
I have been very fortunate.
-
I think Dan M. needs to come back to HHW to get another round of our patented vibes.
-
Director-forgiveness vibes to TCB!

Evaluation vibes to George's workers!

-
Hi TCB are you still here?
-
Yes, I am.
-
What do you know we're both here at the same time
-
I should have said: Hi Cilla, yes I am.
-
What do you know we're both here at the same time
Amazing, isn't it.
-
I'm not here for long, need to get some sleep
-
Yes it is quite amazing

Did you watch the Iowa game tonight?

Cilla, Left has arrived but i have not had an opportunity to begin it as of yet

Good night, Vixmom!

Good night, Cilla!
-
Had fun at the party but only stayed an hour, then came right home. My voice is still weak and I just don't get it. We'll see how I feel tomorrow, but I'm on the verge of just not doing the song I'm doing at the Kritzerland show - that will take that stress off of me, so unless I wake up feeling back to rights in the morning, forget about it.
-
Then I watched three episodes of something called American Crime, some ABC thing.
-
or 7EVEN as George would say
:D

Jane, I thought you went to read.

A few nights ago, I turned to the late night news, but I managed to catch the end of A COUNTRY CHRISTMAS (or something like that). Their big finale was "The Flintstones Theme," but with Christmas lyrics. Has anyone ever heard this song before?
-
Eight!
-
"Yabba Dabba Christmas"
-
The Brian Setzer Orchestra
-
Don't you like how I answer my own questions.
-
"Yabba Dabba Christmas"

I have a Christmas CD by them. I wonder if it's on it.
-
Nope. THIS (http://www.amazon.com/dp/B001DZDTEK/) is the CD that I have, but that song's not on it. Oh, well. It's still a great CD. :)
-
It is on his new Christmas CD, "Rockin' Rudolph"
