I knew I'd forgotten something!
I just started some laundry.
(Exciting, I know. But we need the posts.)
Happy Hanukkah, y'all. (I was raised on AP style, so I have to go with that spelling. It's one of the remnants of the journalist left in me.)

Friday and Saturday were taken up with the dance competition. It went well, except I don't feel as good about my dancing as I would like. I did much better in practice. I made some really stupid mistakes on the floor and, for perhaps the first time, felt nervous about performing in public. I need to work more on being in the moment and making the most of it, I guess.
Joy and I won five first place awards in our championship dances, one second place and a second place in one of our scholarship dances. (The money was a nice win, but why my dancing was worse when the money was an issue I don't know. I guess I'm just not in it for the money.)

Congratulations.
Feeling less groggy now - have no idea about my voice, so I guess I'll attempt the song and see what happens.

We can't blame Jose.
Alone again..... naturally!
It gave me time to listen to "Winter Was Warm."
What in the HELL is going on here?
I'm not a ghost of posters past, TCB.
Maybe your computer had too much sugar.
It's on to The Dangerous Christmas of Red Riding Hood.
Instead of going to the restaurant in Portland we went to dinner at the Heathman Lodge in Vancouver. This was the first time we have gone for dinner. We normally for for brunch where I have ordered the delicious french toast made from the bread pudding. As delicious as that french toast is, the bread pudding is even better.
It's on to The Dangerous Christmas of Red Riding Hood.
I have never heard of that one.
Best bread pudding the world? New Orleans. Of course.
But the best New Orleans bread pudding outside of New Orleans?
The Sunday brunch at the Marriott, downtown Boston, 1993. I kid you not. Go figure.
I expect tomorrow I will scream when I get on the scale and will be back on a diet.
It's on to The Dangerous Christmas of Red Riding Hood.
I have never heard of that one.
A very young Liza Minnelli, Cyril Richard, Vic Damone and the Animals as the Wolf Pack. Some of it is very dated, but some is also very enjoyable.

Red: You're a wolf?
Wolf: Yes, I come from a literary family: Thomas, Virginia. I'm Lone. Lone T. Wolf.
We watched THE WIZ last night.
It was a good production, but aside from 2-3 songs in it, I've never really cared much for the show.
I saw it at the LA Music Center back in the day with Ted Ross as the Lion. And the movie sucked.
Dreidl vibes for DR ELMORE.

I am glad that DR John G. did so well with his dancing!
Today I attended the Saint Olaf Christmas Festival. (No, Rose wasn't there).
Approximately 500 performers and 4,000 in the audience. And they do it 4 times - sold out every time.
That is all I can say.
I am very proud of myself.
It is not downtown.

I am not familiar with that place. Of course, when I used to visit Vancouver, the Dairy Queen was considered fine dining.

I'm finally home and, appropriately, watching the TV version right now. I set my DVR to record it before I left this morning, so now I'm watching it and cutting out the commercials.
I believe the broadcast was repeated today, yes.
I am an individual of many accomplishments, DR TCB. And I have the ribbons to prove it. :)
Hmmm... my sources say that The Wiz: Live! re-broadcast will be on Dec 19.

Explain, please.

When did brain surgery become out-patient surgery?
When did brain surgery become out-patient surgery?
Sundaymorningafternoon greetings! 3/4 of our household stayed up late last night watching the Big Ten championship game and no one made it to church this morning. Fortunately it's not a Lima Sunday for Fr. Richard. Some of us may to to the community production of Handel's Messiah this afternoon. It's at the Presbyterian church right down the street from us.
Just got a phone call from a new friend who's been taking dance lessons from the same woman I am working with. Dave is in need of some of those HHW vibes and prayers as he's facing a rather scary surgery later this week to deal with a brain tumor he was just diagnosed with.

I signed up to usher for a Sing A Long Messiah (http://www.washingtoncenter.org/upcoming-events/2015/12/21/sing-along-messiah.html) in a couple of weeks.
Just had to share. :)

Cyril Richard is now in drag and camping it up as Granny, waiting to devour Red Riding Hood. Surprising what he got away with back then.

Adding to my grogginess is a swollen eyelid. I woke up with it and it and expected it to be better by now.
The Seahawks beat the Minnesota Vikings today 38 to 7.
Unfortunately they have been at the Vet's with their dog. Last we talked they were waiting for the results of an ultra sound.

Congrats on the wins from us, too, John G.
Very interesting day today. We played for Bethlehem revisited. I had no idea what that was. It was way cool. They had over 300 volunteers and they literally set up Bethlehem in the basement of the church. The crowd entered and sat in the church. We were one of the groups who played while people waited. Then the angel and shepherds appeared and spoke.

That sounds really cool!
So we were basically background music. It was fun. We stumbled a bit, but no one noticed and the audience responded very well. We play again Saturday night for the Pioneer Village. The town we play in is a small town, but they do some really cool things
There were adults too, but you expect them to be well behaved and stay in character...and they did

I know several adult actors who don't behave and rarely stay in character.
I"m not sure how they got a cow into the church basement. It may have been fun to watch, lol
George is signed in he should catch up soon
We are having yet another wind and rain storm right now.

I can hear it and it's loud.
Actually, he did get locked out on the balcony, but he almost spent the night out there.

I expect it will be a long surgery. Do you know how many days she will be in the hospital?
Also to John

It really was. The animals seemed to be very well behaved and the kids were having a blast staying in character. At the beginning of the walk through Bethelehem you sign in with a quill pen. At the end of the village, you have to give all you sheckels to the tax collector. I can't imagine how many hours they spent putting it together, but they had lots and lots of people involved and the costumes were excellent

She is having two surgeries, ar least three days apart. We are not expecting that she will be home by Christmas.
Finished with my viewing.
I guess George has signed off for the night.

Gabe is doing one of the readings? Has he worked at TAO before?
Well, be sure and tell him that I said "Hello."
