Well, you've read the notes, the notes awakened, and now it is time for you to post until the awakened cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: AMARANTHINE!
-
First post after BK!
-
I don't get to say that often.
-
Willie Nelson's concert was lively, fun and intimate. Only a few hundred smashed into a tent. Sadly, he sang nothing from his new Gershwin album.
-
First post after BK!
John, why are you up in the middle of the night?
-
A live CD of the L.A. show would be great! Especially if it's the whole show! :D
-
First post after BK!
John, why are you up in the middle of the night?
Because sometimes I just don't know any better.
-
Good morning, all.
A bit early on a Saturday, but that's all right.
-
Coffee!
-
I look forward to the day when the Day Runner meets the Road Runner. Hoo boy, that's going to be a doozy.
-
Here's to a live CD! Yes sirree, I do love me a live performance recording.
-
My AirTurn Duo arrived yesterday. Today I'll open up a PDF score on the iPad and take it for a spin. Practice makes perfect. Before long, I'll be turning pages with the best of them.
-
DR TCB did you share the video here? If I'm reading on my Nook I don't open links.
-
I enjoyed Ballyhoo when our local group did it a couple of years ago. I'd had no idea of the Jewish enclave in Atlanta thing during those years.
That production also had an interesting side effect: It resulted in the younger people involved becoming very interested in Gone With the Wind and other films from that period. We had a showing of GWTW for them, and they loved it.
-
I think it is great when younger people discover older films.
-
Good morning, all! I slept quite well last night. I also slept over nine hours, which I guess I needed.
-
I have some tidying up to do, and at 6:00 O may have a dinner daye with the lovely Sara Jean Ford, who's one of the Christines in PHANTOM OF THE OPERA. I haven't seen her since we did THE MERRY WDOW at Trinity Church two years ago.
-
I am looking forward to more updates on the progress of the LA revue, BK!
-
I am listening to a wonderful Vaughan Williams choral work I did not know, "Folk Songs of the Four Seasons," which is quite lovely.
-

I really love her. She's been one of my favorite sopranos since we did the Victor Herbert songs. Her audition for that knocked the three of us listening to her off our feet. I had asked her to sng something from an operetta, and I figured we'd get "And this is my beloved" or something by Friml or Romberg since she's a Broadway girl. she came in with Adele's Laughing Song from Die Fledermaus. absolutely nailed the coloratura, much cleaner and much better than Chenoweth's sloppy vocalism on "Glitter and Be Gay," landed solidly on the high D, and left us agog.
-
Damn.
-
The bad news is, she just canceled on me for today, so we'll reschedule.
-
Good Morning All:
TOD;
Hands down: Hot fudge sundae without the cherry!!!
-
I got an update for Microsoft Word yesterday and now I can do nothing with it that I could!
-
I don't do the updates......
-
Usually.
-
I got an update for Microsoft Word yesterday and now I can do nothing with it that I could!
I think I fixed it, but time will tell.
-
More great notes with lots of good stories.
Continued finesse vibes for MR BK and THE show!
-
I got an update for Microsoft Word yesterday and now I can do nothing with it that I could!
I have yet to become totally comfortable with the Office 2007 edition of Word, etc.
I use it, under duress. But I loved 2003, and I still have that here, too. There's something about the user friendliness of those programs that peaked with 2003. Office 2007 was a sea change.
-
TOD:
Hot fudge sundae WITH the cherry!
A couple days ago I got a Peanut Butter Cup Perfection ice cream cone (waffle) from Cold Stone and I felt like it was just the best thing I ever ate. Baskin Robbins peanut butter and chocolate ice cream has always been my favorite flavor.
-
DR TCB did you share the video here? If I'm reading on my Nook I don't open links.
Are you referring to the video of the ferry boat? No, I didn't post it here My posts have often been blamed for causing nausea on this site without adding videos to the mix. The video has been all over the Internet and the news broadcasts since Sunday. If you google "Washington state ferry in storm", it should bring up the video.
-
I'm using 2007 which is definitely not as intuitive or useful as 2003 for sure.
-
I'm up, I'm up - six hours of sleep with wacky dreams.
-
Good morning. I slept in today. I guess I really needed it.
-
Happy Saturday to Everyone.....I have been loving reading Bruce's DayRunner memories and I am delighted to say that 1979 was the first year I became familiar with Mr. Kimmel since I was one of the people who came to see his musical STAGES here in Los Angeles....I went because a friend of mine, Linden Waddell, was in the cast (we had done theatre together for years and I went with a group of fellow performers to support Linden).....I remember loving the show and wondering who the hell is this Bruce Kimmel guy??? Little did I know that our paths would cross so many years later when I was hosting Showtune Spotlight on KGIL-AM here in LA and what that would lead to! Speaking of radio shows.....the newest Broadway Radio Show is up on this here site for your enjoyment.....this time we here excerpts from Joel Grey's new memoir Master of Ceremonies -- I use the audio book so you get to hear it all told by Mr. Grey himself and, of course, I have edited in appropriate musical selections. If you haven't picked up Master of Ceremonies, please do. It's a wonderful memoir!!!
-
TOD:
Vanilla with chocolate syrup atop.
-
Saturday afternoon greetings! Having stayed up late to watch all my teams but Xavier lose their basketball games, I slept until almost 9am today. I've been puttering and pre-baking our pizza crusts for tonight's dinner. Think I'll go visit Mom this afternoon.
-
TOD - Graeter's Turtle Sundae: Vanilla ice cream topped with a mixture of hot fudge and butterscotch syrup and chopped pecans, hold the whipped cream and cherry, please. To be really decadent substitute chocolate chip ice cream for the vanilla. Can't remember the last time I had a turtle sundae...
-
TOD, from my childhood: Sanders Cream Puff Sundae
-
TOD:
Ice cream Sodas (Chocolate)
Root Beer Floats
Ice cream sandwiches
Good old vanilla swimming in half caramel and half chocolate sauce
-
I hope DR LAURA and DR KERRY don't get caught in the traffic in Arizona today......
-
Good afternoon!
-
TOD: I will have to agree with DR Kate: hot fudge sundae, hold the cherry
-
We may have a little snow today--nothing to worry about, per the weather people.
-
Personally, I'm in no hurry for summer's sweltering temperatures, so I don't mind the cold temps in March.
-
Interesting notes, BK! I would love to see some of the programs you've mentioned, especially Angie.
-
Good Morning
-
I've been away - no excuse - no nothing.
-
Loved the notes! I guess I'll need to go back and read what I've missed.
-
Tonight we close the coat show - and tomorrow begins Holy Week - and then the day after Easter I'm on a plane for London.
-
I hope DR LAURA and DR KERRY don't get caught in the traffic in Arizona today......
Believe me, I checked to see where all the messes would be today. We are going to see "A Gentleman's Guide to Love and Murder," and none of the stuff is going on around there. That I know of.
-

LOL Only motion would make me nauseated, not your posts.

TOD, from my childhood: Sanders Cream Puff Sundae
We lived very close to a Sanders store. I'm not a hot fudge person so it wasn't a big deal for me. I did have friends in LA who asked me to take them some sauce.
-

I'm glad you don't have to worry about it-lol

Back from an omelet and bagel and some errands and whatnot.

If you scroll down the page, there is a clip of waves crashing at Coos Bay, and that's where my cousin lives. :-\
-
Well, I must leave. I'm going to my parents' house to visit and eat, and probably also play some card games. And I need to pick up my niece and drive her there. I'm also thinking about getting my hairs cut. I haven't had a haircut since last year, and since I didn't get cast in the play as the character who has a comb-over, I don't need the long hair anymore. ;)
Be back later.
-
DR Jane re: your fitbit. Why don't you just have your hubby do everything that needs to be done on the computer.
-
For those watching basketball. I missed this during the game, but have watched the replay over and over https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SdFB3OGUaGU&feature=player_embedded (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SdFB3OGUaGU&feature=player_embedded)
-
It's all the emotion that makes me love the NCAA tourney. I haven't watched it, but after seeing Jesperson's shot, I'm watching now
-
The flute ensemble I'm in played at the mall today. It was fun. We were right by the Easter Bunny. I kept seeing flashes and thought that the husband of one of our players was taking an awful lot of pictures of us, then I realized the flashes were the photos with the Easter Bunny

Wow! That's a game we weren't watching last night. Now I'm watching Indiana/Kentucky - Go, Hoosiers!
-
They're trying DR GINNY. I watched Yale/Duke for the first half.
I agree with DR CILLA LIZ. I kind of forget what fun college basketball can be until I watch a game.
I am however amazed at the amount of 'traveling' the players seem to get away with now....the play has changed a lot over the years.....
-
DR JRand, Richard says the same thing about traveling.

Cool video of Shore Acres, and someone climbed down to get it. It you recall Shore Acres is rather high on the cliff.

DR Jane re: your fitbit. Why don't you just have your hubby do everything that needs to be done on the computer.
I doubt he really wants to set up my fitbit and I do need to try and do some things on my own ;D
I just went and told him what you said, and my response. He confirmed my response :)

That's funny Cilla.
-
Today was a soup kitchen day.
-
It was a warm sunny day and we got a large crowd. In fact we never were able to call for seconds because we ran out of food. Not a scrap of left overs
-
Although no one left hungry
-
So that was a good thing
-
Then I caMe home and made lunch forvixdad and myself
-
Vixter and I went to run a few errands
-
Then I called my mom for a chat.
-
Then we called Canada to wish our grandnephew a happy 6th birthday
-
Then we called Vixdad's folks and had a chat
-
And now we are drinking tea and watching "fail" videos on youtube
-
And thinking about dinner
-
I love tin roof sundae ice cream which is vanilla with a fudge ripple and chocolate covered peanuts Put that ice cream in a dish with some Hoyt fudge and some crushed
Peanuts and you have yourself a real treat
-
I hope DR LAURA and DR KERRY don't get caught in the traffic in Arizona today......
I'm heading to Scottsdale later, so I'm thinking I'll avoid the mess. And luckily I know shortcuts if the messes spill over miles into other parts of the city.
-
If I had Häagen-Dazs coffee ice cream in the house I would eat it now with either my chocolate crunches from Carvel's or broken pieces of coffee candies from See's.
-
And then there are these.
-
Yum!
-
Or just a plain vanilla soft cone from Carvell's.
I usually get it in a sugar cone. Keith likes it dipped in the chocolate crunchies, not that I mind them at all.
-
I haven't seen them fir tears but they used to sell neopolitain ice cream slices. (Chocolate vanilla and strawberry. ) Wrapped Individually. about 12 to a box....
Take two frozen waffles.... Toast them lightly and make an ice cream sandwich with one of those slices... Mmmmmmm
-
I love a chocolate vanilla trust from carvel
-
This is the only way I like anything on my soft cone.
-
I need to go East for some Carvel's.
-
For Vixmom.
-
LOL, that is one large cone.
-
My stomach is hurting for a Carvel's.
-
I like a nice Dove Bar.
-
Good everning to all
-
I'm enjoying reading the day running entries. It allows me to dwelve into my unsold pilot books. It's amazing how many pilots are made every year. comedy and drama, that don't get picked up.
-
That was the best show I've seen in a long time. I loved it.
-

I didn't necessarily think he would be thrilled to do this. But I figured he might have an easier time. :)
-
I read the book while on our last camping trip. It is different than the book.
-

Those ice creams look so good!
-
Just been relaxing, watching something, and dozing off frequently.
-
Can't believe it's already five-thirty.
-
I'll finish what I'm watching (another thirty minutes), then do some work on the LA show.
-
That was the best show I've seen in a long time. I loved it.

A fitbit app is boring-lol. He would prefer I get a smartphone and put it there, but then I wouldn't really need the fitbit app. I could just download the app he has on his phone to keep track of his steps.
-
It was very interesting to see the rerun of ONE DAY AT A TIME today after reading the notes.
The family was giving a show at the old folks home. I imagined MR BK doing the parts that Michael Beck did.....a duet with MacKenzie of "Love and Marriage" and "Makin' Whoopee" which was cute, but Mac kind of took the lead....and he was part of a back up group for the irritating Glenn Scarpelli who sang "Duke of Earl" as Frankie Valli for some reason.....
Bonnie Franklin was....part of a clown duet with Valerie B.
-
Good news DR LAURA!
-
Stupid comment deleted.
I will have to call fitbit unless another google search finds the answer to my problem.
-
I would rather be reading. I know that I walked around 8 miles today. I did way more than the 10,000 steps recommended we walk every day.
-

I watched that game. I'm watching Kansas/ UCON right now. I'm cheering for the Jayhawks since I spent my first two years in college at Kansas
-
Good grief. I've gone from not watching basketball at all to having three and maybe four teams (depending on how this turns out) still in the tourney. Oh my! I didn't do a bracket this year I used to always do that. But, that's ok.
-
Oh my, all this ice cream. I love ice cream I love all sorts of ice cream. I could eat ice cream every day

So could I and it's one of the things I miss most when I try to eat heart-healthy.

OK, now I need to figure out how to get from Seattle to Poulsbo WITHOUT getting on the ferry.
You go thru Tacoma, go across the Narrows Bridge, and follow Hwy 16 up to Bremerton, and then on to Poulsbo.

Sorry. If you don't drive thru Tacoma and you don't take a ferry; I am not sure there is any other way to get to Poulsbo.

Possibly skydiving!
-
I had a nice lunch today with my friend, Betzy.
-
Actually it was 11:00, so I guess it was really brunch.
-
She will be kittysitting Nicky next month, if I decide to go away.
-
And she is my housecleaner.

I am not making much progress.

Good evening, 1 Guest! What's your name?

Tomorrow is Palm Sunday.

And the rain has returned to the Northwet.

I've been home watching TV but I didn't get my hairs cut. I dilly-dallied too long getting ready, so I didn't have enough time to get to the barber before needing to pick up my niece and go to my parents' house.
