Today, I go to City Center to spend some time with Joshie. He's doing the orchestration reduction for the tour of this Lincoln Center production of The King & I. It's a great job for him and I am really happy for him.
The flowers and the trees got wet. Very wet.
We actually got rain yesterday, LOTS and LOTS and LOTS of rain. It was very much needed.
Wednesday morning greetings! We'll be outta here in about half an hour for Richard's follow-up with the opthalmologist, some shopping, and (I hope) lunch. He has a chiropractor appointment later this afternoon.

Oh man, are they adding a synth? That show was PERFECT, because of the orchestration.

Wheat... lots of wheat... fields of wheat... a tremendous amount of wheat...
Doctor visit vibes for RICHARD and Lunch vibes for DR GINNY.
Is there a bad acting virus? Because I think it has infected our cast....sometimes I just sit in amazement....

Thanks, DRs JRand and George! The doctor and Richard agree that there's been some improvement, but the doc says it can take 6 months for a nerve to fully recover. He ordered a stronger Fresnel lens and told us to come back in a month. After a couple of errands near the doctor's office, we went into downtown Hamilton for lunch at one of our favorite delis.
The unsuccessful errand was to the bank where Richard and I have our joint checking account. They have a no-fee coin sorting machine for customers and I wanted to turn my accumulated coins and ones into my mad money for the papercrafting trade show I'm attending this weekend. The machine was out of order, of course, and the other financial institutions we patronize do not have that service. My only option, it seems, is to use the one at Kroger, which charges a fee unless you take your proceeds in gift cards.
Replacement singer vibes for Bruce!!!

My credit union has one also, but you have to deposit it into your account first. Then, you can withdraw the amount that was deposited for no fee. It's a bit of a hassle, but a work-around.
Finally have a chance to say hi. My Footloose camp ended so now I have mornings free. Still have Xanadu this weekend which is shaping up quite nicely. It's just a wonderfully written show, as crazy silly as it is. Often overlooked, but cheezy fun.
Jenna will step in to replace the singer - I had to cut one song that was not age appropriate for her, a shame as it's a really funny song, but she'll do the other two fine. So, that hurdle is hurdled and there are more.
I am home from the Metropolitan Room. I would haver been home 45 minutes ago if the No. 7 bus I was riding hadn't been hit by one of those idiot red tourist buses at 34th Street. First time that's happened in 37 years.
Celia's show was quite nice, and she told the audience, which was true, that one of her recording's reviews called me a "national treasure." Between that and "Broadway legend" on the Behind the Curtain site, and my ego is quite stroked for 2016. It's a

Was everyone OK? That sounds scary.
JohnG, go write some nice Amazon reviews - I think you've finished a couple of the Kritzer books? :)
Oh look. There's some strawberry shortcake.

The show was quite lovely, and here are Celia, Alex Rybeck, and I after the show and before my bus mess.

So naturally they are calling for showers and possibly thunder showers.
And this will be one of possibly a dozen times in my life that I have not been here for the hydro races.
Oh look. There's some strawberry shortcake.
Where?
