Well, you've read the notes, the notes were up and running, and now it is time for you to post until the up and running cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: HYPOCORISM!
-
First post after BK!
-
Tom, about "WORDS WORDS WORDS," it's done just on a Friday and Saturday, and that's it. Next month will be science fiction, and I'm reading a couple of things!
-
First in NYC!
-
A possible suggestion for a topic, in honor of the notes:
What are your favorite films about running or other sports,
(and if there aren't enough of those, your favorite films about computers, or which feature computers prominently)?
Favorites about running: Marathon Man, Chariots of Fire
Favorite about other sports: Breaking Away, Slap Shot
-
Today we walked the grounds of the original Olympics, nice timing. Will someone please share the photo from fb.
-
I like your topics AND choices DR FJL.....
OTHER SPORTS: Hoosiers, Grand Prix, North Dallas Forty
-
It's supposed to be a nice cool, fall-like day today.....and I don't have anything I HAVE to do, so that is nice as well.
-
Good morning, all!
-
I made a very serious effort to get to bed by 10, trying to get back to my usual schedule. It failed. Around midnight I started reading the score for Haydn's "Mass Un Time of Wat," and by 1:00 I was writing an email to our DR Ginny.
-
Some time after 2:00 I fell asleep, but I was out of bed and moving about by 9:15.
-
I think I may do the laundry this morning.
-
DR JRand65, I'm happy you finished 1776 with a good closing. Do you know what next season will be?
-
Good morning, all.
-
Having a slow Sunday morning here.
-
There's a wonderful country fair this weekend that's near here, that I normally drop by every couple of years. It closes this evening and I might go over for a while to see some new things they've got.
And then again, I might not. I'm really into cleaning up this Music Room which has been a disaster for some time, and I made some good, discernible progress yesterday...so I want to keep that momentum going.
-
So, we'll see.
-
Continuing health vibes for DR Elmore and all the rest of yez!
-
Congrats on what sounded like a great run, DR Jrand65. Will there be any video clips you can share with us?
-
Sunday morning greetings! Richard has gone to church in Dayton and our upstairs housemates are at their church in Mason and I'm home enjoying some solitude.
-
And after weeks and weeks of having the house closed up with the AC running, we've opened the windows. Aaaahhhh, the house breathes!
-
I'm looking forward to some of that tomorrow, DR Ginny. These windows have been locked tight for what seems like weeks.
Actually, seeing these little storm cells moving through right now, maybe it can happen today.
-
DR ChasSmith, the cool front that came through here yesterday brought some violent weather up north and some torrential downpours for us.
-
Yesterday at the crepe place there was a flyer in the window for the Odd Couple ... In my addled food deprived state I stopped and read through it, thoroughly expecting it to be about JRand's production...
-
Church then took Mom to Panera for breakfast
-
Now to run errands.
-
Vibes for all but especially Elmore. Be well!
-
DITTO!
-
I briefly have WiFi
-
Well I am the LAST to know......I am sure everyone else in the world is aware of this BUT....Mr Stephen Nathan, friend to BK and co-star of TFNM, played The Courier in "1776".....I've only gotten about 40 minutes into the movie, so I don't know if sings the "Look Sharp" number....but we shall see.
-
DR VIXMOM we advertise far and wide....it may have been about us.
DR ELMORE....our next season is:
CURTAINS
THE FOREIGNER
THE ADDAMS FAMILY
LAUGHING STOCK
-
DR elmore I could not read your full story without wifi. I am very glad you are still with us and hope it isn'the anything serious.

I learned that really late, too, like, several months ago. Amazing! :)
And I haven't watched the movie since, so I don't know about the singing.
-
DR VIXMOM we advertise far and wide....
As well you should! How else are you going to hold the attention of the American Theatre Wing?!

That's a great picture, Jane!
-
Well, I must be going now. I have to get ready to usher for a matinee of The Last Five Years (http://harlequinproductions.org/season-2016/the-last-five-years/). I didn't realize it until I saw on the website, but there is no band. You can see in the picture gallery that the two actors play piano for each other's songs. That's pretty cool.
Until later.
-
That's a great picture, Jane!
Thank you, and thank you for sharing it.
-
Good afternoon, all.
-
Continued health vibes for Elmore and all in need.
-
Great picture, Jane.
-
George, let us know how the dual piano playing approach works out.
-
I think I may go dancing later.
-
But first, a nap.
-
Great picture, Jane.
Thank you.
-
Our dinner was included with our tour, same for last night. While the buffet last not was not very good it was tons better than the set meal to light. :P
-
I'm up, I'm up - eleven hours of necessary sleep. And a friend and daughter are in the nabe so I have to go meet them at Casa Vega in about ten minutes. I won't eat much, perhaps a taco. And I certainly won't be jogging until MUCH later.
-
Woke up to the absolutely sweetest e-mail from Hayley Mills. That's what I'm talkin' about.
-
Continued health vibes for Elmore and all in need.
I've sent my doctor an email requesting a session this week. The stomach pains continue. I am neither comfortable nor content at the moment.
-
Woke up to the absolutely sweetest e-mail from Hayley Mills. That's what I'm talkin' about.
:)
-
DR elmore will you be following your email with a call?
-
Good afternoon!
-
DR vixmom: I'm so sorry I missed your special day! Belated Happy Birthday wishes!
-
Congrats on your win, DR TCB!
-
Continued health vibes for DR elmore!
-
Looks like you're having a great time on your trip, DR Jane!
-
One more...
-
Page 3!!!
-
Congrats on the success of the ALS Benefit, BK!
-
Just watched the videos of Hayley Mills and Richard Sherman----loved them!
-
Looks like you're having a great time on your trip, DR Jane!
On the whole we are.
-
The bed tonight may be marginally better than the one last night which was basically like sleeping on a rock.
-
At least our twin beds have been pushed together instead across the room as if we were in a 50's sitcom 😀
-
I forgot to mention the sheets that feel like sand paper ;D
-
I put the laundry away, and I think I will finally make that walk to the pharmacy on 84th. I need a few things and I need to think about something mild for dinner.
-
I hope your doctor can solve the problem DR ELMORE.
-
An Email from Hayley Mills.
That is the title of my new cyber musical.
-
Thanks for the email, DR Elmore!
-
You are right DR CHAS SMITH - those Tony Awards don't win themselves, you know.
Yes DR GEORGE.....and it only took three years to get LAUGHING STOCK on the schedule even though it is practically about US!
-
I hope your doctor can solve the problem DR ELMORE.
DITTO!!!!!!
-
Thanks for the email, DR Elmore!
Last night's or today's?
-
Had a call from Hadley Miller's folks so I went and joined them at Casa Vega - had two beef tacos, and just had some tuna so I'm done eating for the day and will jog shortly.
-
It's amazing how many things were working really oddly on the old computer that now work perfectly on the new one.
-
Thanks for the email, DR Elmore!
Last night's or today's?
Well, both, but especially today's!
-
The new computer.....
Does your new computer have a different OS or the same as your old one?
-
Thank you, Kevin!
-
I did some laundry
-
Went over to my Mom's and hung a 12 foot ladder on the wall
-
By myself
-
Because one brother is in Massachusetts the other is on his way home from Greece
-
I hope I did it right and it doesn't fall on her car
-
And I used the gift token (which my mom bought me for my birthday) to the nail place and had a mani/pedi
-
I was one OS behind on the old computer - but I had the latest on the laptop - very similar. Not exactly sure what goodies were added.
-
Vixdad was out today with some of his friends
-
Back from a two-and-a-half mile jog. I feel like I ate too much, but with the job I'm about 1050 calories and I can really go to 1500 and still lose and I haven't gone to 1500 save for three times in the last two and a half months. In fact, at this point in the diet I'm allowed one splurge day a week where I can eat just about anything.
-
This new generation of magic trackpad is MUCH better - very light to the touch, does more things. Still getting used to it but I LIKE it.
-
Page three? Really?
-
I think we'd best get a frenzy or three going.
-
Page four? Really?
-
I discovered the wifi is working in our room, it did not yesterday.
-
Bruce it sounds like you had been needing this new computer for awhile.
-
I am going to try and sleep for another hour before we need to get up.
-
We watched the closing ceremonies of the Olympics. Nice.
-
But I'm very tired of watching TV.
-
It's a ritual with my parents.
-
So I have to learn to endure it for a few more weeks.
-
I found a dance studio nearby.
-
Hopefully I can get in a few lessons, just to keep moving.
-
Not looking forward to work in the morning.
-
I just have the feeling it'll be a Monday Monday.
-
I need to get to bed.
-
Have a good night, y'all.
-
George, let us know how the dual piano playing approach works out.
I thought it worked really well. They both were good singers and actors and pianists. There was some music on the piano, but they didn't actually look at it very much...just certain moments. There was no set, only projections behind them and on the floor. It was all very well done.
-
Woke up to the absolutely sweetest e-mail from Hayley Mills. That's what I'm talkin' about.
Nice!
-
You are right DR CHAS SMITH - those Tony Awards don't win themselves, you know.
Yes DR GEORGE.....and it only took three years to get LAUGHING STOCK on the schedule even though it is practically about US!
I'd never heard about it before I was in it last year, but it's pretty much about us, too! :))
-
I hope your doctor can solve the problem DR ELMORE.
DITTO!!!!!!
DITTO, TOO!!
-
It's amazing how many things were working really oddly on the old computer that now work perfectly on the new one.
I've been wondering what my new computer is going to be like. I have Windows XP at home now and Window 7 Professional at work. This new computer will be Windows 10. I've never worked on that before.
-
At work, the current computers are slowly being replaced with Windows 10, but my particular computer hasn't been upgraded, yet. Having the same operating system at home and work again will be a good thing. :)
-
This new generation of magic trackpad is MUCH better - very light to the touch, does more things. Still getting used to it but I LIKE it.
I've used trackpads on other computers and friends' laptops, and I've never liked them. It's great that they've improved things and you like the improvements.
-
We watched the closing ceremonies of the Olympics. Nice.
I'm watching it now.
-
I don'the remember what's sights we are seeing this morning, however, I have high hopes that our evening hotel will be nice.
-
This afternoon our friendly small group of 9 will be changing. 3 people are leaving and 17 arriving. We will also be switching to a larger bus. I liked our little bus.
-
Time to get up and moving.
-
I don'the remember what's sights we are seeing this morning, however, I have high hopes that our evening hotel will be nice.
Good luck, Jane!
-
What is a track pad?
-
We had a lovely chat with the Vixter tonight
-
Did I already tell you that?
-
I am so looking forward to seeing her again
-
Page 5
-
Well tomorrow is going to be a particularly difficult day so I should try and get some sleep
-
Particularly since it appears it is already tomorrow
-
Good night all

I am no longer receiving SS Disability.
-
Beginning this month, I am receiving regular Social Security.
-
Fortunately there is no decrease in my benefit amount.
-
John, continued parental vibes to you for these several weeks.
-
Today I watched DAMN YANKEES.
-
I don'the remember what's sights we are seeing this morning, however, I have high hopes that our evening hotel will be nice.
Good luck, Jane!
Thanks. Poor Keith had a bottom sheet that kept pulling up and then he couldn't sleep. The water in the shower was either cold or hot.
The downside of traveling but it is worth it.
-
Dinner the last 2 nights was at 8:00, way too late for us, especially being so heavy.
-
Off to, hopefully, for a decent one.
-
I do love that movie.
-
Does anyone know if they considered calling the film "WHATEVER LOLA WANTS" instead of DAMN YANKEES.
-
There is a trailer included with the DVD that implies that is the name of the film and in parenthesis underneath the name Damn Yankees.
-
Ahhh, I just found out that WHAT LOLA WANTS was the name that was used for the film when it was released in Great Britain in 1958.
-
That is where the trailer comes from on the DVD.
-
I should look these things up before I go blindly asking dumb (or damn) questions.
-
One more post.
-
Page Six
-
Tab Hunter was pretty darn cute as Joe Hardy.
-
Dinner the last 2 nights was at 8:00, way too late for us, especially being so heavy.
I don't think you are heavy, Jane.
-
Fortunately there is no decrease in my benefit amount.
That's a very good thing!
-
Fortunately there is no decrease in my benefit amount.
That's a very good thing!
Amen!
-
I wish I liked 1776 more than I do.
-
I wish you did too, Tom.
-
;)
-
Well, I need to get to sleep. I've been getting to work earlier, so I need to get to sleep earlier.
Good night...anyone else whose still here. 8)
