I was wide awake until some time after 2:45, even though i turned out the lights at 11:00. I had the same dream twice, although it's now quite vague, something about a Hispanic family in Los angeles and three young men visiting LA. I believe the pater familias was singing karaoke at one point.

Then I dreamed I was in a mad rush to prepare a recording session for BK in Manhattan.  There were Christmas gifts in the studio and I could not get an outside line to call BK's production assistant.

I made a couple of resolutions for September 1, one of which is doing better on keeping exercised and generally fit, something I really let go this summer.  And since I find myself about five pounds lighter due to certain extracurricular fun activities these past few days, what better time to get back into eating both right, and more moderately?

Oy.  That was a boring and self-congratulatory way to start page two.  But start page two, I did.

I am very interested to see how the folks at the theater at the Abbey mount THE FANTASTICKS this SEPTEMBER.  It opens in two weeks.  I talked with the MD/pianist (he did their ZORBA), and contrary to earlier reports, he was able to find a harpist willing to deal with playing all the dates and in the open-air venue, which I'd been told earlier was an issue.  So I hope that's still in force and proceeding well.

I'm especially interested, of course, in what this director's concept will be.  She pulled off ACT ONE and ZORBA handsomely, but with all the reports this year of FANTASTICKSes going astray all over the damned place, we shall see.  Right?

I usually get gasoline at about 10 a.m. - so there are few people there....of course there are exceptions.  I like to go to a certain station because you don't have to pay first, and I always fill up my tank....and I don't like to use my card because that usually creates a HOLD on the card until the transaction is completed.

Was up at 4:22 a.m.   I woke up around 3:45 a.m., but never managed to drift back off to sleep.  This has been my whole week, actually (except for Tuesday when I overslept by half an hour).  My normal "get-up" time is between 5:30 and 5:45 a.m.

I'm not happy with these changes.   I hope they resolve themselves soon.

Yesterday felt like a Friday to me, and this morning felt like a Monday.

So, I think I'm on track now with today being Thursday and tomorrow being Friday.  What I keep being surprised at is that it will be Labor Day Weekend.

Tomorrow here in the office will be a ghost town.

Lots of folks are ending their summer sojourns with a long weekend.

But are they actually selling at those prices...or just listed at those prices? ::)

Thursday morning greetings!  I've already been to see Tina for a haircut and style.  In a bit, Richard and I are going on an errand date and out to lunch.  Later this afternoon, I'm going to a 50th anniversary reception at the Miami University campus where my career began 43 years ago.

I hope you enjoyed the reception.

Thanks, DR Jane, I did!  Saw a lot of people I worked with 40 years ago.  I'm feeling very "I'm Still Here" right now...

You mean about the high-priced Amazon listings?  Well, a co-worker of mine (who has sold things on Amazon.com as a marketplace seller) said that some people (a GYPSY reference) just list items at exorbitant prices.  I buy things for the library where I work and I see it all the time.  I don't know if it's because they get some kind of deal in their fees if they have a certain number of listings, or what, but there's some kind of perk for having things like that listed.  I wish I knew more. :-\

Mercury turns direct on Saturday.....then we have the intense post shadow phase until September 8, and then the post shadow phase until September 21.

This is a retrograde in Virgo and Mercury RULES Virgo, so it's been topsy turvy for everyone.....

Once we get to the 21st of September, we can rest easily until the NEXT one....MR in Sagittarius beginning with the PRE phase on November 14, and the retrograde itself on December 2,3.

My doctor doesn't work on Fridays and pain medication prescriptions have to be obtained in person in Washington State.

It is so bad that I told her she needs to call one of those television consumer advocates.
