TOD:

Sitting very near my CD player, but not near enough that I slip it in, is my recently acquired CD of "Capitol Sings Cole Porter."  (i.e. that means that artists signed to the Capitol Records label - from 1950-1965 - are featured singing Cole Porter songs).

Sitting in a major pile on my very floor near my BD player are many discs that retain the cellophane.  Most recently acquired is "Cat People", "Eye of the Needle" and "Nine to Five".  I pray they will not languish for too very long.

In the past few months, I've gotten a shingles shot, a pneumonia shot (for the "over-65 crowd") and, yesterday, my annual influenza shot.

I wish someone would offer an affluenza shot, but I'm guessing it won't be offered in my lifetime.

I thought only one was new and that the other one had to be repeated if you had it prior to turning 65.  Fortunately I only needed the first shot at 65 and the second when I turned 66.

Speaking of shots.  Since Monday might be the last warm day of the season, and I prefer getting my flu shot when I can go wearing a t-shirt, we plan to get ours on Monday.  We could go today but why possibly ruin a weekend with a sore arm.

ROTFLOL.

Describing the show to a friend I mostly commented on the Poldark's beauty and perfect hair.  I had to laugh at a scene where the camera slowly moves in on our sleeping hero with his perfectly mussed curls around his face.

I had a bad experience today with T-Mobile. When I called customer service the rep was trying to be helpful, but their system is designed poorly, IMO, and he couldn't fix the problem. I've had T-Mobile for a year now, the call quality isn't as good as AT&T, and I only save about $10/month. I'm reluctant to return to AT&T (overpriced and often poor customer service), though, so I'm checking out some other carriers. Maybe I can find one that's not as bad as the others.

We just returned from Beaches, a favorite local restaurant on the river.  I was very bad but it was oh so good.  We haven't been for awhile and I have missed their fries and coleslaw.  For the first time I called yesterday, since it is no longer on the menu, and requested their bean burger.  It was excellent.

For dessert I ordered the bread pudding with blackberries, golden raisins, and a delicious whisky sauce.

To begin with we had edamame and I had a Cadillac margarita, on the rocks without salt.

Months ago I saw a light blue plane landing at the airport but we could not determine what airline it was.  FINALLY Keith also saw the plane this evening.  At least we think it was.  We were leaving the parking lot of the restaurant and cars were blocking our path to get a closer view.  If only it had landed while we were still at the table.  We had excellent views from the restaurant.

Since 2 Alaska Airline flights landed about then we believe it was an Alaska Disney plane, which was our best guess back when I saw it.

everything but the bean burger sounds wonderful. I mean, I have had good bean burgers before, but the vast majority have been as appetizing as a Boca burger.

But given that, I should probably have a little something else to eat since I only had the chopped Eyetalian salad with vinegar only and a bagel.

To begin with we had edamame and I had a Cadillac margarita, on the rocks without salt.

everything but the bean burger sounds wonderful. I mean, I have had good bean burgers before, but the vast majority have been as appetizing as a Boca burger.

This one was very tasty and had nice pieces of corn in it.  It was a bit crumbly though which might be another reason it was good.

I need to start exercising a little more. Otherwise, my wardrobe is going to be like Jane's jeans.

I only walked 5 miles today which was not enough considering how much I ate.

They are now saying that three people are dead, one in critical condition, and one with non-life threatening injuries.

Um, I am going to be very irritated if dear reader George pulls one of his, "Oh, I was watching this or that" malarky things.  We cannot be this low in posts.  It's just not done.

I also had to update my tablet and that took a while because I didn't have enough battery power, so it had to be plugged in for a while.

One that I don't like is in settings and application manager.  Before the upgrade, if I had too many apps stored on the internal memory, I could transfer some of them to my micro SD memory card.  But the way to transfer them before was very obvious and easy to do.  Now, it kind of looks like you can't move them. :-\

One thing that I like is that symbols and diacritics are now available on the keyboard itself by holding a key to bring up a box with different choices. Before, you had to click the Sym key (which is right next to the Ctrl key) to change all the keys to the symbols, and then click the Sym key again to get back to the regular keyboard.  That's a change for the better!

That's not fair. You need to speak English.

What are you doing this weekend?

Tomorrow morning, I'm helping my sister at Olympia's Out of the Darkness (http://afsp.donordrive.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=donorDrive.event&eventID=3986) Suicide Prevention walk.  We'll be working at a booth for PFLAG at the event.

During that time, I'll need to leave for about an hour to go to the rehearsal of one of the one-acts for "An Improbable Peck of Plays Five."  We were supposed to rehearse that last night, but at the last minute, one of the actors (of only two) couldn't be there, so it was rescheduled.
