Well, you've read the notes, the notes were both whirling and dervishly dervish, and now it is time for you to post until the whirling cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: AMELIORATE!
-
First post after BK!
-
Second post after BK!
-
Sandy cancelled out for lunch yesterday.
-
That's too bad, Tom.
-
I hope he is okay.
-
Good night, George.
-
Good night, Tom.
-
Good morning, all.
-
Up too early. Must get the bird to the Tweet Suites before work.
-
Good morning, all!
-
At 7:30, I called and moved therapy to Thursday morning and went back to bed for another hour. I'm really tired, but I hope, after another cup of coffee, that I'll be ready to move. I must stop at the post office before I head down to City center,
-
Good morning, all.
-
Very interesting dream, on a couple of familiar themes.
-
Today, I have the dress rehearsal at 1:30, then tonight's invited dress at 7:30, I've have a full report when I get home. Tomorrow, I can sleep in as long as I like, Unless, of course, there's an emergency fix tomorrow morning.
-
DR John G, I hope the ticket mess works out.
-
Have a good day of dress rehearsals, DR Elmore!

I hope so! Thanks.

Time to head out!

Good morning to all

TOD: I don't really have a beef with UPS. They've always been good to me and sometimes gone overboard to delver something put it in a safe place if I wasn't home.
-
T.O.D.
Too many pet peeves to mention, but I do have a story:
When I had my condo in Calabasas, CA, I was on the 2nd floor and the mailboxes were right down the stairs from my unit. One day, a substitute mailman was on the job. I walked downstairs and, as I did every day, started to reach into my box as he was sorting/distributing the mail.
He stopped me. Said: "You can't do that. You may be a Communist."
;D
-
Nice day weather wise here as opposed to all the rain yesterday.
I did not receive a reply from the potential Vocal Director yesterday. Hopefully, a positive response will come today.
-
Tuesday morning greetings! I'm home all day today getting ready for our trip to NYC. We'll be there by this time tomorrow!

-
TOD: that online they mark something "out for delivery" on a certain day, and then if they happen not to get around to delivering it that day, they just make a change in their delivery estimate when the day is almost done and you've waited for it.
-
Vibes to elmore on his big day!
-
Vibes for Elmore.
-
Found the hat I had misplaced, finished packing, took the bird off to his home away from home (despite soul-deflating objections) and checked in for tomorrow's flight. I can't call City Center for another 90 minutes or so.
-
Two!
-
I'm also getting work done before my interview later.
-
Good luck with your interview today, DR John G!
-
Tuesday.
Ugh. It's cold and rainy and darkly overcast.
-
Thank you, Ginny.

Ticket problem resolved. But I need to be at the theater 30 minutes ahead of time so I may have to leave brunch early.

Whew! I don't think 30 minutes ahead of curtain is an unreasonable time for any of us to get to the theater. We're with ya, DR John G!
-
I've printed our boarding passes and, wonder of wonders, we're both pre-check! The website also said to get to the airport 2 hours early, which is not going to happen for our 7:20am flight from Dayton, Ohio. We should be there by 6:15 or so.
-
I hope he is okay.

Good morning. The turkey is in the oven. That is quite an accomplishment today, seeing how my arm is in a sling.
-
TOD: I got nothing. I always have the best mailmen. Currently we have a tiny woman. She's pretty strong, though, carrying those packages up and down the street.
-
Arm healing wishes and vibes to Laura!

I'm up, I'm up - about eight and a half hours of sleep with some unpleasant dreams.

Good morning. The turkey is in the oven. That is quite an accomplishment today, seeing how my arm is in a sling.
You did hurt it :( Having worn slings a few times I really feel for people in them, not fun.
-
I miss my Endocrinologist in Ashland.
-
While waiting for Keith to pick me after my appointment I went for a walk, saw some cards and realized I had not mailed an important card yesterday. I purchased the card but they didn't have any stamps. Fortunately our mailman was at our box putting in the mail. He said he would wait while I ran inside for stamps. We are lucky as he is super nice and super reliable.
When he is putting the mail in the box while we are waiting he pulls it back out and hands it to us :)
-
Back from soup and a bagel and picking up a package.
-
William Katt and a friend were sitting in the booth next to me. And D.C. Fontana in the booth across - she finished Thrill Ride and loved it. She found only one error in the entire book and when she told me what it was I got very irked with myself - but it's something that no one else would notice and even she had to check on it first. It has to do with a place in Burbank that's no longer what I say it is - who knew? Apparently no one, including me. But then again, the character who is saying it might not know either.
-
BK is sooooo close to a millstone!
-
Yikes!
-
Good evening!
-
Sorry about your fall, DR elmore. I'm glad it wasn't serious.
-
I saw Tam Mutu in London a few years ago. He starred in City of Angels and was really great.

Break a leg vibes for the New Yorkers! Looking forward to Saturday!

ORAL SURGERY VIBES FOR DR LAURA TOMORROW!!!
-
Page three? Really?
-
Quick, someone take a screenshot.
-
Spent the last two hours writing up notes about the new musical, which I'll send later this evening to the writers of the show. I think I did well - it's all presented very positively.
-
There are much worse things than being fact checked by someone like D.C. Fontana, MR BK........
Oscar Levant once said the nadir of his career was sitting in the dressing room at 20 Century-Fox and having his grammar corrected by Marilyn Monroe.
-
Quick, someone take a screenshot.
I got the screenshot, but I have to leave work now and rush to the TAO board meeting, the go from their to rehearsal for The Trip to Bountiful. I'll be able to post it when I get home tonight, unless someone else can post a screenshot more quickly.
-
And now, I'm off.
Be back later.

Glad you got it, DR George.
-
People are late. It's been drizzling and you know at the least sign of water LA drivers turn into bigger morons than usual.
-
How well I remember that.
-
Yesterday when we returned home there was a strong chemical/turpentine like smell. It was gone when we left this morning and returned with a vengeance by the time we came home. In fact it had permeated into our condo.
A call to the property manager, who rushed right over, it was discovered to be from work a neighbor was doing. The entire garage smells but we seem to be the only lucky ones to have it inside. The manager worked at reducing the effects in the garage and we aired out our place. Thank goodness it was better after our long walk.
DR Jennifer you would not have been happy ;)
-
Sounds like everybody needs some good vibes. Count on good vibes being sent!

Ticket problem resolved. But I need to be at the theater 30 minutes ahead of time so I may have to leave brunch early.
I confirmed our 1:30 reservation today so I am hopeful we will be done by 1 giving us plenty of time to get to the theatre
-
Well, I'm about as packed as I can be until tomorrow morning. In the process I've discovered my black leather zipped travel "office" is missing. Richard gave it to me when I started adjunct teaching and didn't have an office. I'm pretty sure I had it in Atlanta, but can't find it here at home.

Thank you, all. I am fine. My problems are all quite minor. Just an annoyance.
-
Gratuitous Post No. 100!

Home again, home again, jiggity jig.
-
Trying to watch Pasolini's Accatone. Trouble is, the DVD is fairly cheap. It's all on one chapter and the subtitles are from some faded day gone by, so you can't read them whenever there's a white background. It's all fairly depressing, but so is the movie. I guess it all adds up.
-

Nothing valuable, DR Jane. Just Scotch tape, paper clips, a mini-stapler, a pencil sharpener, some Post-It pads, a ruler, a hole punch, small scissors, etc. I have duplicates of most of those things, so I've created a new traveling office. I do need to find a new mini-stapler, maybe in New York.
-
No wonder you didn't notice you had left it behind.
-
Good night, all.
-
Goodnight, sweet dreams and happy trails
-
Congratulations to BK on his new plateau

Had a fun little session with the folks who commissioned me to write a song - it's going to be super cute. Then we went to Du-Par's for some food and we all had pancakes, which were excellent.

-
Well, I see that was all resolved without my interference!
-
And I am home. the afternoon dress stopped a couple of times for adjustments but it played tonight before an audience like gangbusters. Jack in his precurtain talk praised Josh and me, we were swamped lovely compliments and praise, and everyone I know who saw the show tonight loved its absurdity, its good spirits and its sense of fun.
I stayed outside the stagew door talking to friends until 11:00, then caught a taxi home.
-
Rob wants a change in the Exit Music, so Joshie and I will do it by phone tomorrow morning. I do plan to sleep late tomorrow as well.

Made quesadillas for dinner, just tricolor peppers, onions, mushrooms and shredded "Mexican blend" cheese
-
For once I thought ahead and made an extra one to bring for lunch tomorrow
-
The cafeteria in our office building charges $8 for a quesadilla that is of ax nice as my homemade ones
-
Rob mentioned something about Josh and me being at the talkback after Saturday matinee. Nothing set yet, but I know that Jack Viertel is really proud of our work.
-
And before I forget tomorrow.

We sent my notes to the producer of the show, prior to the authors seeing them. She wrote me the very sweetest e-mail about how the notes were presented with such positivity and caring - that made me very happy. Just sent them off to the writers.

New Facebook rule: If someone indiscriminately shares fake BS news from obviously fake sites, and then, when that is pointed out to them, argues with me about it, goodbye Charlie, instantly, no discussion.

I don't know why they would argue about. My friends, as I do, acknowledge the error and say thank you.
