Well, you've read the notes, the notes were Kritzerlandian and Sterling, and now it is time for you to post until the 76 cows come home - they'll be playing 76 trombones as they do so.
-
And the word of the day is: BRACHIATE!
-
First post after BK!
-
TCB must've gone to bed. Sleep well, Tom!
-
Allergy attack - can't really go to bed until the Claritin D starts working.
-
And now, I'm off to bed.
Good night and have a pleasant today.
-
But before I go...I LOVED the Sweeney/Forum What If! :))
-
Allergy attack - can't really go to bed until the Claritin D starts working.
Oh, no! I hope the Claritin D kicks in quickly! :-\
-
And NOW, I'm off to bed.
-
Loved the terrific lyrics and report of the Kritzerland show in the notes!
-
So glad TCB has a smooth trip, and that the show was so well-received by the audiences there!
-
Great to hear that your show has the demand to extend its run, George!!! Very exciting!
-
Good morning, all.
-
TOD:
I love those caramels with the white centers that are like sugar with sugar on top. And See's caramels are pretty darn fine.
-
Wonderful What If lyrics.
-
Good morning to all
-
looking forward to seeing the videos
-
Good morning, all.
-
Oh wow, a day without auditions? A special moment in history. Something to treasure.
But I mustn't get used to it. Back at it tomorrow night and the next night. And then again all day next Tuesday.
-
Kritzerland show sounds wonderful, and I love the different What If. Looking forward to videos.
-
Beautiful photographic evidence, DR John G. You do well at those. More, please, if you got 'em.
-
I just got news that a Good acquaintance, probably in his late 30s, died while camping over the weekend. Kevin was a free spirit who brought joy to just about everything he did. He was a movie fanatic, especially of low-budget and horror films. His mom is one of the best chefs in town and tried teaching him how to make her amazing Korean specialties, which he did at parties for his friends. He ran a burger joint that was in the wrong location and never developed an audience but served some of the best burgers I ever had. He was centered, gentle and seemed to welcome the world in his embrace.
RIP, Kevin.
-
Good morning, all!
-
Happy to hear the show went well. Did anyone seriously doubt it would?
-
DR TCB, I'm happy you are safely home. Have a couple of days to treat yourself nicely before you re-enter the fray.
-
DR JohnG, I am so sorry to hear about your friend. Do you know what happened to him?
-
I screwed up and overslept. I missed therapy. When I return from the pharmacy, I'll do some damage control.
-
DR JohnG, I am so sorry to hear about your friend. Do you know what happened to him?
No. I heard from his parents who are grief-stricken. Just very hard to digest.
-
I ned to pick up my monthly meds this morning. Tomorrow I am back to City Center for some Golden Apple work.
-
Terrible news, DR John G. Condolences.
-
TOD:
I love all chewy candy. I think cinnamon bears are my favorite. And for a little while OSH was selling chocolate covered cinnamon bears, which were to die for.
Speaking of which, I found chocolate covered matzo in the grocery store yesterday. It took all my will power not to buy any.
-
Oh lordy -- someone at the auditions yesterday had brought in a bag of Werther's Original candies. I hadn't had any of those in some years, and must have downed seven or eight of them. I'd forgotten the double whammy of texture they give you, the outer shell and the creamy interior, and how the outer shell becomes chewy as it melts in your mouth. Heavenly.
-
DR JohnG, I am so sorry to hear about your friend. Do you know what happened to him?
No. I heard from his parents who are grief-stricken. Just very hard to digest.
I'm so sorry. What horrible news.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
-
Condolences to DR JOHN G on the passing of his friend.
-
It sounds as if the show went GANGBUSTERS for MR BK & Co.
CONGRATULATIONS.
-
Congrats also to DR GEORGE on his theatrical success last weekend! People are getting out and seeing things!
-
One week from today is my first appt. with my new doctor.....
-
DR John I am very sorry for your sad news. My deepest condolences to Kevin's family and all those who will miss him.
-
DR JohnG, condolences. It is very upsetting losing a friend. Especially one so young.
-
Finally, not too much longer DR Jrand. Continued vibes the doctor is worth the wait.
-
Monday morning greetings! The baby shower yesterday was fun, but I was exhausted when we got home. Today I have to go to one retirement community for a ladies' meeting and another to visit my Mother.
-
DR John G, I'm so sorry to hear about your friend. Condolences to all who love Kevin...
-
JohnG, condolences to all of Kevin's family and friends. Such sad news.

I've since learned from a mutual friend that he collapsed at a hot spring in the area and died when they got him to the hospital. Could have been a heart attack or stroke. I don't know if it's known yet.

The chocolate covered matzo sounds wonderful, especially with a tiny bit of salt.

DR John G, be assured that I'm not offended over the photo you posted yesterday. I've known for a long time that Richard is the photogenic one and more and more photos of me resemble my late aunt. Even my driver's license has her picture on it!
-
Home from the pharmacy. I'm doing very little today.
-

Yes, Dorian Gray's twin is in all my photos.
-
I did a little planting this morning. Put a bunch of herbs in pots.
Felt therapeutic, despite my black thumbs, of doing something that symbolizes new life.
-
Hey! Guess what was just delivered to my door! :)
-
Great to hear that your show has the demand to extend its run, George!!! Very exciting!
Thanks, Fred! We really needed something like this...financially, especially!
-
Congrats also to DR GEORGE on his theatrical success last weekend! People are getting out and seeing things!
Thanks, Jrand!

I'm up, I'm up - I think I actually got a bit over seven hours of sleep.
-
Health vibes to DR Jane and DR Jeanne!~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
-
What did you get DR CHAS SMITH?
-
Thinking about staying in and making some pasta or something - don't feel like going to Jerry's today.
-
Thrill Ride has arrived in SA!

That's funny though I think you usually take lovely photos. I know the older I get the less I like mine.
-
Health vibes to DR Jane and DR Jeanne!~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Thanks. I am sure DR Jeanne is in worse pain than I am.
-
Thrill Ride has arrived in SA!
It has landed here as well. As soon as I finish the Ogilvy biography this week, I shall begin it.
-
Page 3 Dance!
-
I also received in today's post three bootleg DVDs of The New Yorkers for me, Rob, and Joshie. Joshie is stopping by in a bit to borrow some music, so I will surprise him with it.
-
Where is MY Thrill Ride? I am filing a PayPal dispute.
-
Oops, sorry, I forgot to log out before leaving for my ladies' meeting. Went from there to visit Mom, which was kind of a downer.
-
Where is MY Thrill Ride? I am filing a PayPal dispute.
I checked my mail at home when I went to lunch (it wasn't there :( ), but I don't know if the mail had even been delivered yet, so I might be there tonight when I get home, or it might not be.
-
It'll be there when it's there.
-
And miracles of miracles, it's here!
-
Love the extra gifts!! :D
-
And here's one, the latest addition to my column of magnets:

This reminds me, I misplaced your key chain, just when the weather is nice enough to mail it and then walk home. I am sure I will find it.
-
TOD:
The aforementioned caramels with the white centers....we called them targets.
-
Never a fan I had to look up targets as the name didn't fit for me. I found Bullseyes Caramel Creams for sale. I wonder if target is a regional name.
-
Caramels would be my favorite chewy candy, especially if they are coated in chocolate. My favorite unless I could get Thornton's special toffee from England, mint over regular.
I rarely say no to salt water taffy, however, I am fussy about the flavor.
Most licorice is chewy. I like black or red.

A loverly review of last night's show: http://www.haineshisway.com/now-playing/
-
Nice.
-
Nice review.....
DR JANE it's just what we called them at my house.....I don't think it was regional.....
-
John I am so terribly sorry to hear about your loss, how very tragic. Prayers and vibes for all who love Kevin
-
And thank you all for the vibes and prayers for my loved ones
-

Target, Bullseyes, I get it :)
-
Today I heard that my father in law is better and that if his
X-rays are clear he can go home this week
-
And my friend Cory's daughter let me know that herMom was out of the coma and the doctors think they have arrested the sepsis
-
So I am blessed
-
John I do like the picture you took very much... Thank you
-
Thrill Ride arrived here today Fun extras!
-
Elmore how wonderful that you have the New Yorker recording!
-
Bk I was laughing reading the What If ( and if course singing it in my head). I can't wait to see the videos
-
Double good news for the Vixfamily.
CONTINUED HEALING VIBES FOR YOUR FATHER IN-LAW AND FOR YOUR FRIEND CORY!
-
Elmore how wonderful that you have the New Yorker recording!
It's nice to have a DVD, but I'd frankly prefer a bootleg audio.

A loverly review of last night's show: http://www.haineshisway.com/now-playing/
That's a great review of the show, BK. But then I wonder why there are only three stars...I would think that the way he describes how good the show was and how much he liked it, there would be at least four stars, if not five.
Just a thought. :-\

Is the DVD of the whole show? Making an audio from a DVD is pretty easy...said the guy who could do this and who'd love to have his own copy of it either way. ::)
;)

As someone who'd like George to create that CD, I'll second that notion.
-
Just sayin'.
-
Watching a DVD of Alvin Ailey's company do Revelations. This is the same cast that was in town last week. I love this. Can't get enough of it. Their bodies are astonishing. Getting to see them in closeup makes me more in awe of their physical power than I was last Tuesday.

You know if you need someone to hold on to an archival copy for safekeeping just as a backup ...

A sample of Revelations.

-
I always liked wearthers originals very much, sadly I am now forbidden chewy candies
-
I never want to ask Rob about the stars, but I'm pretty sure he meant four stars.
-
Glad books have arrived so quickly - hoping folks will read soon and, if they enjoy, post a little review on Amazon, as they really help. Jrand, we checked your tracking - package is in Indiana so I'm sure you'll have it tomorrow.

Wow!
-
a bizarre DVD has come in to the library. It's a disc with both Man of La Mancha and The Fantasticks on it. Why would anyone pair those movies, other than they are both United Artists musicals?
-
Love this lead from Variety's review of Amelie:
The only thing remotely Parisian about “Amelie” is the use of a bilious shade of green reminiscent of the outdoor pissoirs one used to see all over Paris. Hardly the image to take away from this musical-theater adaptation of the quirky 2001 film that brought goofy grins to the faces of besotted movie fans.

And on that note (F#), I'm leaving work and going home.
Be back later.

The reviews of the show are, surprisingly, more or less in line with mine.

Very nice review. And, yes, the rating doesn't seem to match the content.

Cut into a mamey sapote today. Can't say I was thrilled with the texture, but it was good in a milkshake.

Good night, all.

A mamey sapote? are you vixtyping?

I occasionally eat Weathers original, had one today, and I think of them as hard candies. I have had the soft chewy ones but I never saw them until a few years ago.

Since DR John has left I looked it up. A mamey sapote is a tropical fruit.
-
Good evening!
-
I am a little more wide awake than last night.
-
Unfortunately, no less devastated over the weekend's events.
-
John, my condolences on the loss of your friend.
-
Vixmom, good news on both fronts.
-
Today was a beautiful day here in Tacoma.
-
We, supposedly, have one more day before the rain returns.
-
Today I met my friend, Betzy, for lunch.
-
First of all, I needed to pay her for taking care of Nicky while I was away.
-
Secondly, she read the first half of my book, and we needed to go over her edit errors and her opinions on the project.
-
Finished with my viewing and continuing to break in the new speakers by listening to some John Williams, which sounds pretty great.
-
I got one video in so far and I'll post that in the notes - more will be coming tomorrow.
-
Well, crap! All of a sudden, my wi-fi and my cable went out! I'm using my data on my phone to post this.
-
I hate when that happens.
-
Took a not shower - very nice.
-
Vixmom, please make this Oreo Dessert for me:

Oh, my goodness! Chocolate Lush is one of my absolute most favorite desserts and this is an Oreo version of it. I think I need to try this!
-
I hate when that happens.
Fortunately, I'm watching a DVD, so I hope it'll be resolved by the morning. Programs saved on my DVR still work, so there's that, too.

Oh, I forgot, Betzy flat-out loved the book. And the edit errors were mostly grammatical errors and punctuation mistakes.
-
There are some small problems that we still aren't sure which is correct.
-
Such as:
Which is correct?
"Would you like cream in your coffee?" asked the waitress.
"Would you like cream in your coffee," asked the waitress.
-
There were a few things like that, which we couldn't decide which was correct.

I would think the first example, but I'm no expert.

-
Whew!!

And since we're so close...
