Good morning, all.

Wonderful song, BK.
-
Prep day vibes for DR Jrand66.
-
It's a day of rest for me, but not without a bit of cleanup around this jernt and some work at the ivories. I have a large folder of spring concert music to run through, and I must do some real work on a few little ditties like "Franklin Shephard, Inc".
-
DR John de Belem is a 1 1/2 hour walk from us. Do you know if it is a pretty walk and is the neighborhood nice to browse?
-
Good morning, all.

It's near a beautiful monument on the river with a great walking area.
-
And it's along a bus route.
-
Vibes for Jrand!
-
Good morning, all!
-
I don't know if I will even leave the apartment today. I will work on Guys & Dolls fro a bit, and I really need to vacuum the place.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Most Excellent Vibes & Xylophones for tonight's Kritzerland show !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
-
!!! 3 !!!
-
Last night I watched the first two episodes of Glenda Jackson's Elizabeth R. It was nice to see the continuity from Keith Michell's Six Wives of Henry VIII by having the actors playing their same roles in the second series.
-
And it's along a bus route.
😁
We like to walk. We will try and go there tomorrow.
-
Good morning to all
Lovely song in the notes, BK. And such a lovely story.
-
Laura - Thank you for sharing the memories of Kerry.
DR John G, I'm sorry to hear your mother fell for the same scam. Did she not remember your father's situation?
The YouTube parody-tribute to Bette Midler (that I did with the remarkable Jan Horvath) finally started catching on a bit more more after the Tony nominations. (the first time in about 2 years that a YouTubeparody video of mine went over 3,000 views)
Could I ask a big favor of folks reading here - that if you like or liked the video, and have a YouTube account, could you hit the thumbs-up button under the video.
"Put On Your Tony Gown" - tune of "Put On Your Sunday Clothes"
a warm parody-tribute to Bette Midler in Hello Dolly - (a parody-tribute by Fred Landau & Jan Horvath, with a vocal by Bruce Horvath)
Glenda Jackson was brilliant in the TV series (6 episodes). The way the Emmys worked back then she won two Emmy Awards (Series & 1 single episode) for the show and was nominated for a third award (Another single episode)
Health vibes that all will turn out fine.
Thanks so much, Chas!
Blood sugar correction vibes for DR Elmore!
I wasn't absolutely certain that I'm logged in to YouTube, but I guess I have been for a few years under my general Google login even though I've never used it to post anything or have a "channel" or whatever in the HELL one does with an account. (I want to learn, as I'd like to be able to post little things now and then.) So the thumbs up button was there and seemed to be beckoning me to try it, and voila!--it worked! It worked!
And I think either YouTube owns Google, or vice versa.
Sadly, no.
Vibes for DR ELMORE!
Vibes for you, DR JRand66! My fingers are crossed for you tomorrow!
-
Thanks for the vibes! I check my blood sugar regularly - my dad did it three times a day! - and it's always in a safe aream if sometimes higher than I would prefer. I have no idea what's going on and I know I am going to get hell from my doctor or Wednesday.
-
I'm listening today to the last D'Oyly Carte Company recording of The Yeoman of the Guard, which includes an appendix of the two cut songs and the first version of another. Not as well sung as some of the other recordigns of the work, but mighty satisfying.
-
Oh no, Elmore! I hope everything is still in the range where diet can help.
I hope so, too! My appointment on Wednesday will be painful.
-
Hmm. I've still got that Yeomen score in my "save for later" on Amazon UK. Must get to that one of these days.
-
Prep day vibes for DR Jrand.
-
Break A Leg to BK and the Cast!
-
I've got the PBS repeat of Verdi's Nabucco on whilst puttering around on various and sundry little tasks. Mr. Levine is at the helm and Mr. Domingo is on the deck (for all you sailors out there), and it all looks and sounds appropriately magnificent. But it's not a piece I know, and I'm DVR'ing it to return to another time.
-
Good appointment vibes for DR Laura.
-
We took an afternoon tour to the country, including a castle and a tour of a port/Muscatel/winery. While it sounds lovely we are not pleased and can't wait to return to Lisbon.
The winery was pretty but we were not given time to linger. The white muscatel was smooth and yummy, however, I was also expecting a taste of port. We weren't given time to stroll the little town. We never went to the town near the castle. The pamaramic drive was nice except the views from the castle in Lisben are much better
Last stop was a nice enough town with an expected 30 min stop reduced to 20 min.
All in all, not worth the long drive in a bus.
-
An afternoon of opera. Ushering for a local production of Barber of Seville.
-
I'm up, I'm up - I think I got almost ten hours of blessed sleep and did I need it.
-
I'm feeling okay - morning congestion of course, but that will go away - not sure about a jog, looks chilly out. I do have a video now from last night, so I'll get that uploaded so I can share it.
-
I am glad you are ok. I am hoping not to get sick and that my knees hold up.
-
Just put the video up, so here it is. And speaking of You Tube, while you're there watching the video, please subscribe to my channel - do it, do it now. Never look back, never regret, never eat hummus.
Hello, everyone.
-
What a great song! It's so perfect for the occasion.
I enjoyed the video, but was sorry we didn't see Dad hug BK.
-
Macron has won over 60% of the vote in France. The results are preliminary, as votes are still coming in. For some of us, this is very good news.
-
TCB, I'm sorry you're still feeling lousy. You must have really needed the sleep. Vibes you start to feel better very soon.
-
MEGA VIBES to JRand for an easy day today and a smooth and completely successful surgery tomorrow.
-
Jack, might you be able to post--or have someone post on your behalf-- prior to coming home from the hospital?
-
A fun parody, Fred! Thanks for posting it.
-
Blood sugar vibes for Larry.
Bruce, do you use Sambucol for that? I use it virtually every morning. I find it very good for sinus.
-
BK has mentioned the new song several times over the past months. I knew he was writing it for friends, a family, but I hadn't realized it was for Hayley's dad.
-
I use Sambucol for anything throaty or nose-y. It's a miracle thing.
-
Must take care of some things.
TTFN.
-
A fun parody, Fred! Thanks for posting it.
Thanks, Jeanne!
-
Thanks DR ELMORE, DR TCB, and DR JEANNE and all Dear Readers!
I will have an open post on my Facebook page that my sister will post on, so perhaps someone can relay the info here.
-
Mega excellent vibes and xylophones to Jrand.
-
As I got in the shower, it began pouring outside - first time rain EVER on a Kritzerland show day. It seems to be stopping now and I really hope it stays stopped so people don't have to drive in it.
-
I shall shortly be on my way to The Federal for sound check and show.
-
Thanks DR ELMORE, DR TCB, and DR JEANNE and all Dear Readers!
I will have an open post on my Facebook page that my sister will post on, so perhaps someone can relay the info here.
Fred - what is the name of your channel?
-
Oh, good afternoon.
-
I've finished work for the day. I'm home now, just hung some blue Christmas lights on ceiling of my patio. Looking forward to it getting dark so I can see the effect
-
The neighbors in the apartment next to me are having a loud birthday bash... in some language other than English. Some form of Spanish I think. I was hoping to listen to Mr. President as I puttered around the house, but their music is quite loud. Some sort of dance music. I have a feeling this will end soon, though. One time they had a roaring party and by 9:00pm it was dark and quiet as a mouse. I guess it could be worse. I'm easy!
-
Happy Birthday to DR Danise!
-
Tonight I'm making zucchini noodles with pesto, blistered cherry tomatoes and parmesan cheese. This will be the first time I've tried zucchini noodles and I've never blistered a tomato in my life.
-
I am my own frenzy
-
And my own everything else
-
And I'm out.
-
DR JohnG so sorry to hear about what happened to your mom. How can these people live with themselves?
BK, loved reading about the dad's reaction.
-
Happy Birthday to DR Danise.
-
Hi all! I just wanted to say thank you so much for all of your good thoughts. :) It was a fairly quiet day--just Toby and me but it was a good day.
-
Many vibes to all those in need!
I just watched the children's hour on TCM. I had never seen this movie before, although I had heard of it and the subject mAtterbut that did it prepare me for emotional impact of the movie.
And what wonderful story telling and amazing acting especially by Miss Hepburn
I typed that last post and hit the post button right after my previous post ...it took over 2 hours to post
Happy birthday, DR Danise.
Mom told me her story today. It's sad because she can hear all the holes in the story the guy sold her and she's beating herself up over it. I told her the same thing I told my dad when someone tried to scam him: this just shows how much you love your family.
-
Finished with In Dubious Battle and starting up Just avSigh with Gabriel Byrne and Emanuelle Devos. It's good, but I may be too tired to finish it.
-
Five!
-
Good night, all.
-
Lighting a pipe and listening to Guy Haines.
Doctors once prescribed a tonic.
Sulfur and molasses was the dose.
Didn’t help one bit.
My condition must be chronic.
Spring can really hang you up the most.
I've always loved that lyric, but I never believed it. However, in reading a book called "Home Grown" by Della T. Lutes, I came across this passage:
As the colds disappeared and spring drew near we needed tonics. Sulphur and molasses, of course, was most commonly administered to the defenseless. My father refused to touch it and, as the snow disappeared, concocted his own "bitters." These were made from the roots of rhubarb, yellow dock, dandelion, mandrake, and God knows what else, with the bark of elder and sassafras added.
-
So good to see Danise here. Come and play every day Danise we miss you!!'
-
I just was able to watch your video BK... Wonderful send you can see how touched the honoree was
-
Back from a really great Kritzerland show - more in the notes.
-
Good evening!
-
Yes, I am late to the party.
-
I was watching THE LAST 100 DAYS OF DIANA.
-
It made me very sad.
-
Even twenty years later.
-
It was interesting, one of the talking heads said that people now forget that the whole affair between Diana and Dodi lasted all of 30 days.
-
And that is true, they are forever linked together in death.
-
It was a beautiful day here today.
-
I had a nice lunch and gab fest with my friend, Betzy.
-
She and her daughter have the same cold that I've got.
-
So we talked and coughed together.
-
I am glad to see that Danise stopped by for a moment.
-
I hope she knows she is missed.
-
Tomorrow is expected to be our third sunny day in a row.
-
Maybe Spring has actually arrived.
-
Hi, Tom.
-
Today, I went to see "Guardians of the Galaxy, Vol. 2" in IMAX 3D! Wow! It's an action paced adventure with lots of emotions. We both thoroughly enjoyed it.
-
Yes, there is a lot of action, and I mean a LOT! The 3D is very effective.
-
But there's a pretty good story behind it...in my opinion. Is it the greatest story for an action movie? No, but it's certainly much better than even the better-than-average. ;)
-
And now, to ketchup on the posts.
-
But...
-
...since we're here...
