Then where did you go?. Never mind.
DR Ginny, have fun in Chicago. I'm already planning our next partay!
I've canceled my trek to City Center. Too hot, too humid, and I'm ot too enthusiastic about climbing the stairs once I return.
Envious of DR Ginny enjoying Chicago. In one year I grew to love that town more than I can say.

Smart. Remember when we stayed in that 5th floor apartment and the elevator was out of commission? We stayed out all day, and sometimes evening, to minimize upward trips.
To amuse myself, I just imagined -- for one brief shining moment -- DR Elmore receiving file cabinets in a 3rd floor apt with no elevator. :D
No sirree. :)
DR John G, I learned about Modjeskas (alternate spelling) when My book group read Susan Sontag's novel In America. I bought some at Cracker Barrel and took them to our meeting. Your Mother's sound divine!

They were heavenly. She hasn't made them in years. I can't remember if her recipe is in her cookbook or not.
Migraine vibes for Jane.

I have lived in a one story house for 45 years....I don't know from stairs and/or elevators.
Passing Tumwater.
We just passed Tacoma.

I do believe the elevator is running again!
DR George we had more traffic than that.
We have 2 UBS ports in the car, very convenient.
Page four? Really?
I do believe the elevator is running again!

That is great news. And I'm sure many people need the elevator. But I prefer the stairs. I don't enjoy the confined space of an elevator.
Friday morning greetings! I'm up early for a free all-day genealogy preconference at McCormick Place. Richard is snoozing and this reminds me of when he'd retired and I was still working.
DR TCB, I looked up Tacoma Park and found Takoma Park in Maryland. It seems to be a nice neighborhood. DR Kevin are you familiar with it?
Passing Tumwater is the name of my new memoir.....subtitled A Medical Miracle....

Uh, oh, it looks like I forgot to log out when I left for McCormick Place at 8am CDT - sorry! Learned a lot about genealogy research today and had a lovely lunch all compliments of ProQuest.
My bus ride back, compliments of Gale/Cengage, was not so satisfactory because the driver made the first stop at the Hilton, then went directly back to the convention center. There were 8 or 10 of us headed for the Palmer House, which the driver skipped because he said, "They rerouted me." We could have gotten off at the Hilton and walked, if he'd told us. Instead we spent an hour and 15 minutes on a trip that should have taken 30 minutes tops. Color me p$&@#d.
Where is everyone tonight?
It was 83 degrees today, but we are heading up into the 90's (maybe) for the next two days.
