Well, you've read the notes, the notes were not letting the cloven hoof of negativity anywhere near the door, and now it is time for you to post until the non-negative cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: ELAN!
-
And now - Dino at the piano.
-
First post after BK!
-
And as BK mentioned last night, our great idea was done two years ago, but not nearly as well as we would have done it!
-
Sending excellent vibes And xylophones!
-
And as BK mentioned last night, our great idea was done two years ago, but not nearly as well as we would have done it!
And we would have beaten them to the punch by a good dozen years.
-
Can you say what your idea was?
-
Tom, here's a link to Mercato's website (http://www.mercatoristorante.com/). There's a link to their menus, so you can see what all they have, although some of the prices have gone up. The large Caesar salad on their dinner menu is now $10. They have outdoor seating and no steps anywhere. :)
-
Yes, but then I would have to kill you.
<kidding>
-
Sure, I can tell you now. We wanted to do something like the Hollywood signing shows, only this would be in New York, with Broadway talent. In addition to the signings, we talked about having talk backs after some Broadway shows, tours of some Broadway theaters, and other related events.

It would've been great if you could've done that.

We thought so.

Good night, George.
-
Good night, Tom.

Well, I've gone through all three cases in my Foster Hall Reproductions set and it's complete! Nothing is missing and it's all in absolutely pristine condition! The only imperfection is that the front of the cases are slightly streaked from what looks like water, but the text on the front is not faded. :D
-
The highest sale price that I found on-line was for $412.50 + $3.99 shipping (https://www.abebooks.com/book-search/title/foster-hall-reproductions/). However, most sets that I've come across specify that they were former library copies with library markings. Mine has no library stamps. I'm guessing that the Antiques Roadshow person will say it's worth about $300-$500 (they alwsys give a range). Even at that, it's $300-$500 more than what I paid for it.
;)
-
I also don't know if being numbered 1000 of 1000 will make it any more or less valuable. Lower numbers are usually better but condition matters, too. Well, we'll see on Saturday!
-
And now, I'm going to sleep.
Have a good day, all!
-
Friday morning greetings! Thank you DRs Vixmom, Jane, and TCB for the sweet comments from last night. I'm up and about to get ready for my day in Sharonville. It feels a little funny, but here we go...
-
Don't feel funny Ginny. You've done what you can do for own and it's good to keep yourself busy. You have the support of your family for being there
-
I rarely remember my dreams but last nights was a doozy.
-
I was at a school with a gym so that I could use their swimming pool. After my swim I took a shower and dressed only in my towel went through the wrong door and instead of being in the locker room I was now on a publc street in Mexico
-
Apparently the school was built on the border. The door locked behind me (of course) and no amount of banging or yelling yielded any results.
-
I found the checkpoint to the us but they wouldn't let me in because I had no proof of who I was .
-
As I tried to decide what to do Peter Dinklage showed up on a motorcycle and to.d me to hop on and he would help me
-
That's when I woke up
-
No negativity vibes for bk

Ok I need to get myself moving work calls and I want to get out of there at a decent hour. Getting there an hour early before the phones and emails start will help that to happen

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Most Excellent Vibes & Xylophones for BK! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
-
Good morning, all!
-
I was up at six this morning. I want to look over the overture before I take it in to Joshie to finish. I'm really grateful to him for this.
-
I had one doozy of a dream that woke me around 2:15, and I rememebr thinking, wow! that was insane. Now I remember none of it.
-
Last night I watched my close personal friend Sir Ian McKellen's performance of King Lear. It's quite wonderful, and I really liked the cast. The Fool leaves the performance after Lear is sent ny Gloucester to Dover to join Cordelia and the French army. Shakespeare bever accounts for this disappearance or what became of the character, but it's always been assumed by scholars that the same actor also played Cordelia and he had to change costume. Trevor Nunn's production, which refuses to ignore the ugliness and violence in the play, offers a solution: Cornwall's men hang him, which mirrors Cordelia's death by hanging at the end of the play.
I've seen nasty Gonerils ands Regans but the two actresses in this production really play up their very open lust for the handsome villain Edmund and their ugliness to everyone else, including each other. Cinderella's stepsisters have nothing on these two. The last act, with the deaths of Goneril, Regan, Edmund, Cordelia and Lear, is littered with corpses.
DRs, I need vibes. as I walked from the bus to City Center, I thought, something's wrong. I got to City Center and told Joshie that was was feeling nauseous and I was having sharp pains in my lower left abdomen. He walked me to a taxi and I am home.
Keith put a photo of our tire on FB if anyone wants to share it here.
Keith actually took the photo off of the internet. Our tire was worse and there was an inch gouge in the rim.
-
DR elmore do you have a fever?
-
Health vibes to Larry!
-
Thank you all for the vibes. After I made several nauseous runs to the bathroom, I decided I needed a really hot bath. If I were going to die - or go to the ER - I wanted to be really clean. The pains have gone away now, and I deel as good as I did when I got out of bed this morning. whether I eat anything today is another matter.
-
DR elmore do you have a fever?
No. When I called my doctor from Joshie's office, I was sweaty but cool. I told the phone person that I was clammy.
Well, I'm off to my parents' house for dinner. I won't stay too late (actually, we don't usually), but when I get home, I'll have to go to bed early because I'll need to be up and ready to go by 5:00 am, for my trip to Portland! But before then, it's dinner. ;)
Be back later.
-
Had a productive run-through, made adjustments to the show order, fixed some musical stuff, and then did a two-and-a-half mile jog.
Evening all! Vibes to all who need them. Special vibes to DR JRand and DR Ginny. Vibes of peace and comfort.
Not much to report today. I heard there was another job fair but it was quite far away and I just didn't feel like driving that far and wasting my gas.
I did see an ad for work at home customer service reps for Apple. I went to their website and saw it was true so I dropped an application to them.
They supply a computer and headset and pay part of your internet bill so it's possible that it could work. Anyway, I took the first step, we will see where it leads.
Today was the closing day for the Tax Collector job and that's what I have my fingers double crossed for because they are part of the FRS (Florida Retirement System). I know the soonest I will hear anything will be sometime next week.
-
I had one doozy of a dream that woke me around 2:15, and I rememebr thinking, wow! that was insane. Now I remember none of it.
Food poisoning?
-
The only other news I have is that David and I have moved from texting to talking on the phone. I think we spoke for about 2 hours last night. He sounds like a very nice man. The 3 hour time difference is a pain. It was midnight before I went to bed and then I couldn't sleep.
I confess, I'm liking him. He sends me a poem every morning and I get a text sometimes during the day when he's at work because he says I'm on his mind. Now we text or talk on the phone every evening. I'm hoping he is for real and not a cat fish. Lord knows I've had my share of them but they were easy to spot. This one is very different and I get a different vibe from him.
-
I thought that the peach balsamic might work well with chicken
-
Today was very therapeutic for me. I had 2 great classes, one for making a beautiful album that I need to finish here at home and the other a technique class on using Ranger Distress Oxide Inks. In the first class I won a door prize and in the second everyone got a fabulous swag bag at the end. My phone only rang twice during the morning class. The first call was the funeral home secretary calling about adding the street address of the church. The second was my cousin Dan who lives in Japan but is currently in Long Beach, CA, with a group of students from the university where he teaches.
-
Hugs for Ginny
Thanks, DR Vixmom...
-
I hope DR Elmore is feeling better.
-
So tonight I took two boneless chicken breasts let them soak in a little of the balsamic for about 20 minutes and cooked them in a skillet with some unsalted butter until they were a little browned.
-
Then I added some sliced peaches, some pear juice and a handful of dried cranberries and let it simmer together
-
Hi DR Vixmom and DR Ginny.
How are you doing?
-
Then I took the chicken out to "rest" and reduced the sauce with fruit .
-
Then a took the fruit out of the skillet and toss the breasts in the reduced sauce until they were all nicely glazed.
-
I served the chicken with wild rice and steamed broccoli florets and the peach cranberries mixture
-
Hi, DR Danise! I'm OK, but very tired
-
Ginny when my dad died I was in Florida and we had that blizzard that basically paralyzed the east coast so I couldn't get back and Because my dads body was donated ti science there was not going to be any services My family told me to just stay e week as planned. The next day Vuxdad insisted we go to Universal as planned. I thought it was heartless... But he insisted ... It turned out to be what I needed. We didn't do the rides we just walked and talked about my dad and things we did when I was growing up and at the e no I was tired and able to sleep .
I am glad you went to your workshop...I am sure it was the best thing for you
FJL will there be a recording of the family verson of your Starfighter?
I can't imagine that would mke economic sense for anybody to do that.
The only numbers that are in the Family version that changed lyrics substantially are "Zandozan!" and "Spring Break." (I do wonder if it would be of any promotional value to do a demo with the Family-version lyrics, in terms of getting the show done.)
