Have a fun day, Jane!
Have a great do, BK!
I have much tidying this morning. I need to take a big bite out of Me and My Girl, Joshie's back in three days and I want to give him an invoice! When he's back, he may have work for me on this first Encores! show, Hey Look Me Over.
Well, maybe. I was getting soft focus and blurred ones much more with my previous phone than with this new iPhone. But still, it’s really tricky.
Just received the new one of Thatch. He’s the cutest little thing!
Here it is. This one isn't blurred, it's just out of focus. The phone either has trouble focusing at these close distances, or you need to try telling it where to focus; i.e., getting the picture framed and tapping the point to focus on (or whatever the process is on your phone), then take the picture. But like I said, it's tricky. I've been through much trial and error on this.
Edit: I never know if, or how well, this is going to work on the site, but click to enlarge. This one opens a separate window for me, and it's quite a bit larger. And yet the file is no larger than anything else we post here. Go figure.
So, the way I posted it is probably way too complicated, but it's the one way I know that will get the job done:
In the text message, tap on the picture to "open" it. Then tap the little "share" thingie and email it to myself. Go to computer, open the email, and save the image. Post it as an attachment the usual way.
I think that was it. This would surely be a simpler process using the third party hosting method, like what we were doing with Photobucket. I think. I'm not the whiz on these things that I seem to be.
If we all got on a plane right now, we could comfortably be there in time for the Do.
Which would put BK over his planned total attendance, causing all HELL to break loose.
Greetings from snowy Buffalo. Yes, a White Christmas is assured.

DR Laura, we've had a bit of a Christmas Miracle on 82nd Street. I have given Thatch his oral medicine and put salve in his eyes, and instead of running from me afterwards, he's been rubbing against my leg, and then he let me pick him up and hold him!
DR elmore you should be proud of what you accomplished with Thatch. You have been great with both kittens.

Thanks, Nursie! As soon as they are both out of the woods, I'm having a breakdown!
Thatch's eyes seem better today. No crusty gunk. What a relief!

Aww. He does love you.
Good afternoon. I am just back from church. Lots of people I didn't know.

BroadwayWorld did an article the other day about the three-show TRU Voices musicals series which includes VIVA MAX! written by Skip, DR-emeritus Julie, and me, based on Jim Lehrer's novel, directed by Evan Pappas:

So, I am home and ready to watch the Seahawks and hope for a Christmas Miracle.

I managed to catch my thumb in the hinge while unfolding one of the legs and now have a nasty blood blister on the tip of my left thumb

Thanks to DR Elmore for another beautiful card.
Earlier this afternoon a group of us sprang a surprise Christmas party on a friend who’s stuck in the hospital after skin graft surgery. I think he was touched.
While we were there, a most irreverent nun stopped by to give him communion. Her stories about her ex husband, now a deacon, were priceless.

I am deciding on dinner. The cats had Fancy Feast kitty whitefish paté.
And since I live in the desert, it is frozen.
I am baking something gingerbread like in the ridiculously expensive pan I bought at the baking store. I think I will take the goodies to the neighbors. Maybe.

I didn't pay that much for it, though. Not quite.
Merry Christmas, Vixmom!!

So cute!
I checked out Get Out from the library yesterday. Really looking forward to watching it now after BK’s notes.

I bought a huge quantity of mushrooms to soak in sherry and butter sauce to go with the beef tomorrow so I held off on the mushrooms for breakfast and the shops were out of Irish bacon
You left out a few things, but that still sounds mighty good! :D

At first I thought Vixmom was trying to put a t-shirt on the inflatable snowman.

Very exciting, FJL.
Sauce is simmering away. This stove is fantastic - different burners for different thing - so sauce is on the small simmer burner and when I do the pasta there's the big-boy burner for "quick boil."

Jeanne, thank you for the Christmas card.
It's snowing in Tumwater! :D
that's enough snow to have the effect, but not enough to be inconvenient. "Conversational snow," as some people call it.
to thatch and annabelle's daddy: from one cat lover to another, give the fur babies a big cuddle from their auntie jan!
I've been watching A PLACE TO CALL HOME. I won't say much, because I know we have fans here who haven't seen it yet.
Sounds like the do was fantastic! I hope there will be photographic evidence
Do is done. So much for downsizing the Do - I think we had thirty or more people here. It was all fine and mostly we had little spillage - but then again I kept walking around saying, "No spillage." And the Shermans did indeed come and Richard did our annual little musical soiree towards the end. A good time was had by all and I have to tell you that almost the entire five pounds of pasta is gone and there was so little sauce left I was gobsmacked. Everyone thought the sauce was the best it's ever been and I attribute some of that to this amazing stove.
So, George, what did you get for Christmas?
The little cakes look beautiful, Laura
So, George, what did you get for Christmas?
Well, at my family's Christmas Eve do and gift exchange, I got gift certificates for Subway, Red Robin and Amazon. My niece owed me some money for a couple of thing that she had me buy for her on eBay, so she paid me with a gift card for Best Buy. My aunt sent us some very random gifts. They're marked "For a Male" or "For a Lady." I picked a gift that turned out to be a ratchet set. ;D
The Seattle Seahawks did indeed pull off a Christmas miracle.
They beat the Dallas Cowboys (America’s team) 21 to 12.
