I find it hard to sit through but, boy, does it ever stay with you.
DR FJL, Richard and I have started talking seriously about a fly/drive vacation in the Pacific Northwest and would like to include seeing The Last Starfighter in Redmond, WA. Do you know if/when you'll be there?
The producer of my play told me that yesterday at the church he attends the Reverend mentioned my play in his sermon.
Yesterday my sister-in-law Jayne broke her leg and this afternoon will have surgery to insert a plate and pins. Vibes would be appreciated.

My sister Linda informs me that Mom is having Dad taken to the hospital. The message isn’t entirely clear but being housebound this winter has taken its toll on him.

Hi Ginny. We're not part of the rehearsal process, and so quite rightly would be paying our own way. So I won't know until after tax season whether we'll even be able to afford the trip. :(

Of all the Oscar nominees, James Ivory is the most worthy. Glad to see him among the nominees for all the years of joy he has given me at the movie theater. I remember hours and hours lost to A Room with a View, The Europeans, Maurice, Heat and Dust, Jane Austen in Manhattan, Slaves of New York, The Bostonians, Howard’s End and so many more.
Two hours into Balzac and I’m ready for it to end.

Vibes for them both!

What are you reading? Cousin Bette is a great revenge novel I've read several times, and I love the BBC series with Margaret Tyzack and Helen Mirren.
I tried reading Pére Goriot; never finished it.
Thanks, Jane, and vibes for good test results.

And I have finished the book.
The elevator crew is very noisy today. They've been working nine days straight now. Perhaps they will finish before Feb. 28?
Thanks, Fred, JRand, Vixmom, Jeanne and anyone else I may have missed. I'm glad Dad's home and hopefully resting.
Dad is home from the hospital. I have few details. Will talk with them tomorrow
Jane, regarding A PLACE TO CALL HOME, I don't want to give too much away. I'll say again that the season does get better. The Regina subplot goes in a direction I would not have guessed. I'd advise you to give it a bit more time.
Pre-trip prep vibes to VIXMOM!
And I have finished the book. I'm sure I'll have plenty of futzing and finessing to do but I at least have the ending down - in fact, I've been futzing and finessing it for the last hour and I think it's pretty good but I'll see how it feels when I read it with all the pages that went before it. It's always very emotional to get to the end of a book, and this one was one of THE most emotional.
I almost forgot that I have a show tonight! I'm off to the theater!
Be back later!
DR GEORGE I like your quote. I have just forgotten to mention it.
Tomorrow, I have no plans.
I am thinking of auditioning for LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS this Spring. If I do it, it will be ending its run the first two weeks of THE LAST STARFIGHTER.
Yes, I could.
