Well, you've read the notes, the notes were namely Woo, and now it is time for you to post until the namely cows come home - or namely MOO.
-
And the word of the day is: LOLLAPALOOZA!
-
First post after BK!
-
Today should just be a regular day at work...finally!
;)
-
Right now, it's 81°F up here in my bedroom.
-
TOD: I was really excited to see Bruce Kimmel's "First Nudie Musical" on its opening day/night.
-
Good morning, all.
-
TOD:
Ingmar Bergman
-
Good morning, all!
-
I am not sleeping well these days. I was up at 6:30 to feed the cats, then went back to bed until 8:00. Now that I', dressed, I have no energy.
-
Today, Rob Berman, Joshie, and Encores! are recording Brigadoon. Since I was not involved in the production, I am staying out of their way. There will be enough folk coming in and out. I do look forward to the recording.
I wish they could get the funding together to record The New Yorkers.
-
Yesterday, on my way to Encores! my watchband broke; my other watch has needed a new battery and crystal since Annabelle tossed it off a shelf several months ago. So, I am making a trip to my jeweler at 86th and Broadway today.
-
Good morning, all.
-
TOD
Alfred Hitchcock
Ingmar Bergman
Stanley Kubrick
Woody Allen
Mel Brooks
There might be more that I'm not thinking of right now. More thoughts on this later.
-
T.O.D.
Alfred Hitchcock

Now there's an unexpected piece of good news for a Monday morning!
But yes, The New Yorkers is the most glaring omission in this regard, and I shall continue hoping for some great gift to come along.

Too hot.

Annabelle and I have patrolled the building. She visited with two neighbors, one from the fourth floor whom she's already met, and one from the fifth floor, who's become her new best friend. Thatch is eager to join us, but as soon as he crosses the threshold into the hall, he turns and runs back to the safety of home.
-
Last night, Thatch built a cave out of the shirt I had tossed over the bed frame, and stayed there for several hours while I read. He thinks, if his head's covered that we can't see him.
While I read, Annabelle groomed herself, then saw Thatch's tail sticking out from the cave and spent some time playing with it. He remained hidden and actually slept there most of the night.

Good day to all

Amen on The New Yorkers.
I question the need for the Brigadoon. The McGlinn recording is just about perfect, and Rebecca Luker can hardly be bettered.
-
TOD2:
Robert Altman
Woody Allen until around the time of Mighty Aphrodite.
-
DR TCB, someone with your avatar sent me a greeting. since we are already FB friends, I wonder if this is you or if you've been phished?

Need or not, it's got the funding.

Avoid any contacts on Facebook from me. I no longer use my one Facebook account, so I certainly do not need a second one.
-
Oh, and Good Morning!
-
I think I may go back to bed for a bit, before the bedroom gets too warm.

The same happened to me.

A Comcast tech came out this morning. He said Comcast was putting out a recall on the modem he took away. We are still glad we went out and purchased our own modem.
Keith said the technology on my computer won't let him get the speed as high as his computer. More speed would be nice but I am just happy it is all working smoothly now.

Margot Kidder has died.
-
Back from the doctor.
They took a cast of my ankle for a tailor-made brace, and I also now have a 4-prong cane.

Margot Kidder has died.
I just read this :(

Back from the doctor.

:-\
Oh my. Can you begin PT now?
-
I'm up, I'm up - seven hours of sleep.

:-\
Hopefully it will help you.

DITTO ON THAT!

I learned last night that Cecil’s surgery, which involved cuts to both the front and back of his neck included the removal of a vertebra and the insertion of PVC material (yes, the stuff used to make pipes). All of this, as severe as it sounds, was better than the other diagnosis, which gratefully turned out to be false, and that was for ALS or Lou Gehrig’s disease.
-
Oh, gag. Totally unnecessary.

Why??? WHY??????
That was for DR JOHN G's link.....say it like Nancy Kerrigan.....
-
TOD:
Alfred Hitchcock
Robert Altman
Billy Wilder
-
Tonight we are doing Act II without books.....it just keeps rollin' along.
-
That press release makes me want to vomit on the ground. The willful non-acknowledgment that there was already a musical version. Disgusting - and the ego in that announcement is beyond repair.
-

Too hot.
It's been hotter. :o Fortunately, there's a bit of a breeze, so it's not unbearable.

It seems like most cats like to be covered up. My late cat Ebonie, my parents' cat Henry, my sister's cats, they all like to get under covers. BUT my current cat Neve does NOT like to get under any covers. As soon as I put any kind of blanket or even a t-shirt on top of her, she moves out from under it. Strange. :-\

That's so cool (about Brigadoon)! And Ditto about The New Yorkers!!

Margot Kidder has died.
I just read that here (https://www.msn.com/en-us/movies/celebrity/supermans-lois-lane-margot-kidder-dies-at-age-69/ar-AAxgByh). :(

That was for DR JOHN G's link.....say it like Nancy Kerrigan.....
AGREED! (Although, I really do like the previous scores that Marc Shaiman and Scott Wittman have written.)
-
I'm glad that press release thinks Mary Poppins Returns is being hugely anticipated - not by me it isn't. Especially with songs by them and apparently much reshooting has been going on.
-

Thank goodness he doesn't have either of those. May he heal now and have a good quality of life even with pipe material inside of him.

That is strange.
I still remember our big orange cat was under the covers with Echo on top. Suddenly he moved like something out of TREMORS and attacked her. Poor girl was very cautious of getting on the bed without knowing a monster was in it. By the time we had Sherlock the cat couldn't move fast enough for that trick, not that Sherlock would have cared. He was just the calmest dog where Echo was a bit of a baby.
-
Nicky hates to be under the covers.
-
Angel hated it, too.
-
I took a two hour nap.
-
Now i feel worse than I did before the nap.
-
Nicky hates to be under the covers.
Annabelle loves it.
-
Mary Poppins Returns.....how can she return if she's never gone away?
-
Off to rehearsal....and I will miss MOST if not ALL of the second game in the West Conference Finals between Las Vegas and Winnipeg.....
-
Got some Tacky Bell for food, have been working on a new song all morning, and have offers out to the two people we still need to cast.
-

Vomit on the ground is correct.
-
I heard they were going to musicalize Pygmalion next.
Insert facetious face here.
-
I'm listening to The Grass Harp. It's still a lot of fun, especially "The Babylove Miracle Show"! :D
-
Keith went to Best Buy again and picked up something more suitable for my computer to boost the speed. Now that we both have a high speed Comcast is having issues in our area and we keep losing the internet ;D

Hello!
-
Page 3 malarkey?
-
More vibes for Cecil!
-
Hello, everyone.
-
Ankle and mobility vibes for Druxy.
-
Continued recovery vibes for Cecil.
(and Happy Anniversary, too)
-
Bruce, have you ever been to Poquito Mas? I can't speak for the Sherman Oaks location, but I've eaten at both the Sunset Blvd and Westwood Blvd locations and both were quite good.
-
Happy Anniversary to DR John G's parents, also.
-
Where is everyone today?
-
It was very much a Monday at work.
-
And speaking of food, I'm getting hungry.
TTFN.
-
I got work done, but I also got a load of stuff that I didn't need to have to deal with.
-
Soon things will get back to normal, I tell myself.
-
The new hire seems quite good. That's a relief.
-
Starting to watch The Child in Time with Benedict Cumberbatch and Kelly Macdonald. Ian McEwan wrote the novel it's based on; it's one of his I haven't read yet.
Depressing story -- a man paying for groceries turns around and his 4-year-old has disappeared. But the cast and an intelligent script are making it very worthwhile.
-
Today was my Mother's Day celebration with Bryan, a video chat and flowers that arrived a day late.
-
We then went for a semi short walk staying mostly in the shade.
-
It was very much a Monday at work.
I hear ya!
;)
-
The new hire seems quite good. That's a relief.
Good!
-
And now, I'm leaving work.
Be back later.
-

May you continue to be happy with the new hire.

Today was my Mother's Day celebration with Bryan, a video chat and flowers that arrived a day late.
Nice.
-
I think my mother is needing some more outside contact.
-
I'm going to have to make time to call more often.
-
Four!
-
I really wish I knew how to make time.
-
Hello, 0 guests!
-
What do you make of this page four malarkey?
-
Sorry folks
-
Went to the cardiologist to drop off my harness
-
Then church to pick up the soiled linens
-
Then home to put them in to soak
-
Then work
-
Out by 5:45
-
Then the market
-
Home to prepare a pie for our dinner
-
Yesterday I had cut several chicken breasts into cubes and tossed it with one of my new Penzey spice mixtures
-
When I got home I steamed the baby carrots I bought while peeling a slicing about on a and a half lbs of white mushrooms. I sautéed the mushroo sin some butter, garlic and added some freeze dried shallots and a little white wine
-
Then I sliced the baby carrots and tossed them in with the mushrooms
-
I cheated with the pie crust, I used a refrigerated one...
-
I fitted the bottom crust in the pie plate then added the sautéed veggies
-
Then I added the cubed chicken to the pan and browned it and then added that to the pie
-
I made a little gravy, added that to the pie, then popped on the top crust and popped it into the oven
-
It was ready just as Vixdad arrived home
-
Then we ate and just as we finished the Vixter called again
-
So we had a nice chat
-
And then Vixdad and I decided it was time tie a cup of coffee and a dish of ice cream
-
And then I came here
-
And that was my exciting day
-
Try not to be jealous of my whirlwind high flying lifestyle
-
I cheated with the pie crust, I used a refrigerated one...
I do that often myself, but only Pillsbury. The local grocery store version sucks.
-
Watching Stephanie J. Block's PBS cabaret show. I guess I've missed a few of these. Glad they're still on pbs.org.
I like it better than Andrew Rannells' show, but it doesn't hold a candle to the Chita Rivera show. Sutton Foster must be next.
-
I don't think I ever imagined Move On from Sunday in the Park as a power ballad.
-
Does anyone know anything about "The Legacy Project"? They're filmed interviews of songwriters, including Flaherty and Ahrens, John Kander and Stephen Sondheim.

Five!
-
Good night, all.
-
I'm going to have to make time to call more often.
I am sure she will appreciate it.
-
Went to the cardiologist to drop off my harness
Do you think the meds are making are working?
-
Good evening.
-
Hi, George.
-
It was a warm one today!
-
Tomorrow we should be back into the 70’s.
-
Not the 1970’s.
-
Hi, Tom.
-
Nor my birthday in the 1870’s.
-
I really loved the Andrew Rannells’ concert

Sutton Foster was on earlier in the month. :-\

I thought it was the best of the four LIVE AT LINCOLN CENTER concerts.
-
I really loved the Andrew Rannells’ concert
So did I.

That's pretty cool...but it's $14.99. I wonder how long each episode is.

Tomorrow we should be back into the 70’s.
Our temps will also br dropping.
