Well, you've read the notes, the notes learned things while jogging, and now it is time for you to post until the learned cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: SPAGYRIC!
-
Should be live in about fifteen minutes - at least that's the hope.
-
It's not there, yet.
-
And it's really cool that you're able to re-release more Ben Bagley CDs!
-
I think I only have a couple previous releases, and I don't even remember which ones they are. :-\
-
CDs have been ordered!
-
And now, to bed.
Have a good day, all!
-
Good morning, all!
-
Yesterday seemed like Friday but today does not seem like Saturday.
-
My How To Succeed . . . colleague is coming by for scores this morning, so I need to put some numbers into an envelope. Before then, I need to make a trip to Staples.
-
I worked on several of Ben Bagley's Revisited albums in the early 1980s. I first began as a copyist for Dennis Deal and Albert Evans, who were doing the arrangements at the time, and then Ben started giving me an occasional number.
-
Surprise! Good morning, all.
No internet yet, so one quick post if I can get it through.
Big news: The road and driveway are cleared enough for passage. Two guys with chainsaws went at it without a break for seven hours. It wasn’t easy and it isn’t pretty, but after this superhuman task we can get through. I have pictures of everything. Now we can get people up here to get things moving.
More when I can. I’ll try to go out and find some wifi later.
BK, will place order when I can. Please set one of each aside? Thanks, and thank you all for your good wishes.
-
Good morning, all.
-
Great to see you posting, ChasSmith. Continued recovery vibes.

What a nice surprise!
-
Annabelle and I have made our patrol. I have some forms to fill out on the computer and print. Then, Staples.
-
Good day to all
-
BK
Do you have any plans to release any of Bagley's recordings that are not on CD? There are 8 of them
-
HA! Good news from DR CHAS SMITH!
Happy Birthday to actress Diane McBain....who claims to be 77...which may be close to the truth.
-
DR JANE, I laughed at my brother, too.
Tree Man left some of the elm in the yard - his chipper receiver truck was full, so he's coming back today to finish...although rain is predicted, so who knows.
-
I went to the bank and got his money.....so he can be paid when he is done.
Yesterday when we were talking about the crab apple tree, I reached up and pulled on some leaves hanging from it. Tree Man said: "Hey, that's poison ivy!"
I washed my hands and no itching or bumps yet....so maybe I didn't touch it long enough. I hope.
-
Yes DR TCB I will be watching the wedding! It will be fun!
-
More recovery vibes for Chas!
-
Yes DR TCB I will be watching the wedding! It will be fun!
I'm hoping the delightful scowling little flower girl from the William-Kate wedding will be there, maybe smiling at 12 or 13 now!
-
TCB - that's so bad you have that memory of that royal wedding from the past. And of Jersey, too.
-
TCB, Jane (& Keith) and George - I can be available any time on Thus. June 14. I think the rehearsal on Wed. the 13th runs very late, but any time at all any of you want in the afternoon on Thurs. the 14th is great for me! Two seconds later - it was on the ground.

Is June 14th being Flag Day a big celebration day in the PNW area? Any traffic concerns, or just nothing really?
-
Jrand - Did I miss how you as FDR handled breaking the news to little Annie? She must have been heartbroken to be stuck with Daddy Warbucks rather than the Mudges, I guess.
-
Should that have had a spoiler warning?
I can go back and edit if anyone thinks so. :)
-
Since this oldie may never have a chance to be taken out of the trunk again:
"It's Their First Kiss (The Smooch Smooch Song)" - the William-Kate first kiss do-over from the 2011 Royal Wedding

(little scowling flower girl is at 0:46)

LOL DR FJL....funny link.
She took the news better than expected.....five seconds later, she was hugging Daddy Warbucks and ready to stomp the Mudges....

Great news!

Good news on the Begley series. I’ve got all of the CDs that were released. Thanks for asking, Michael. I, too, am curious about the ones that didn’t make to CD, especially Kenward Elmslie Visited.
-
Air conditioner went out last night.
Repairman just replaced the compacitor (sp.).

I think Elmslie took the rights back for that recording.
-
Got my CD order in.
It seems to be going without a hitch recently, and much easier with credit card through paypal, somehow, than taking it off the balance. I don't know why.
-
I'm up, I'm up - six hours of sleep. If I was wrong about she of the Evil Eye back to bed I will go. If I was right I'll get the HELL out of here.
-
Does anyone have a list of the unreleased Bagley's.
-
From DR George:
So, what happened? Did you recover??
:D
-
DR TCB since you were also dehydrated, had you not been drinking water as you walked around in the sun?
Was Paul also sick? I have known people who get sunstroke fairly easily and have to be careful.
-
I am once again having wifi connection problems. Keith thought he had fixed my problem. His is fixed.
-
DR JANE, I laughed at my brother, too.
Tree Man left some of the elm in the yard - his chipper receiver truck was full, so he's coming back today to finish...although rain is predicted, so who knows.
I am relieved you also laughed :)
Vibes the guy returns. You still owe him money, right? Never mind, your next post answered my question.

Soap and water will not wash off poison ivy. If you do see a rash forming rush out and get this pricey product because nothing works as well as it does, and I mean rush.

-
Oops, that was a big photo. While not as clear a picture, it is now much smaller.
-
In Ashland we kept this less expensive product for washing ourselves and clothes and dogs hoping to prevent the rash. Overall it worked rather well.

Do people actually celebrate Flag Day besides putting out a few flags? I never even thought of it being an issue with traffic. I didn't forget the holiday as it was also my sister's birthday.
-
DR FJL, once we know what works best for George & Tom to meet up we can adjust our schedule to drive up.
-
Air conditioner went out last night.
Repairman just replaced the compacitor (sp.).
You were lucky to get it fixed so quickly. How hot is it that you need the air conditioner.

I rook care of my photocopies and tomorrow I will take the trip to the 68th Street post office after meeting my friend Chris for breakfast on 72nd Street.

I spent a part of the afternoon on Found.org registering Annabelle's and Thatch's microchip numbers.

Wow!
-
Back from a long, light breakfast meeting with Doug Haverty - we went through the script, placed the songs, talked about the set-ups for each and now he can begin revising.
-
Is June 14th being Flag Day a big celebration day in the PNW area? Any traffic concerns, or just nothing really?
The traffic probably won't be so bad since it's not the weekend. Just a guess, though.
-

Interesting. I bought this CD from www.mymusicboutique.com (http://www.mymusicboutique.com), but when I go there now, it's not findable. I guess it was available for a limited time only and I caught it at the right time...or maybe it wasn't supposed to be made available at all and I really caught it at the right time. :-\
-
The images for the CD that are posted HERE (http://castalbums.org/recordings/Kenward-Elmslie-Visited-1982-Studio-Cast/4569/) were posted by me and are from my actual copy that I just got a couple of months ago.

-
Hello, everyone.
-
I was so pleased to see DR Chas' post this morning!
I suspect someone is mighty sore today. But congrats on the great progress.
May it all go smoothly from here.
-
TOD:
I have season 3 of THE BRIDGE here. I'll probably begin that.
-
I enjoyed the new QUEER EYE. I liked the original Fab 5 a bit better, but I still like the new show and am glad its back.
-
Anti-itch vibes to Jrand.
-
Greetings, from the lovely WiFi at lovely Panera Bread
They're doing the work on the power lines on our road now, btw. Part of it involves replacing at least one pole, so, maybe tomorrow we'll be getting power back...?
In the meantime, here come six small pieces of photographic evidence for your most excellent viewing pleasure.
-
TTFN.
-
Oh! Look who's here!
-
Herewith, before and after shots of the main blockage of the driveway.
-
I want to see the pics.
-
Next we have Nathan's -- er, ex-car.
And a li'l tribute to our precious life support system, the generator and the three propane tanks feeding it.
-
Oh, my!
-
And finally, the money shots.
-
Ouch!
But at least with the road and driveway passable the insurance adjuster can come out.
Vibes for repairs and reimbursement!
-
TTFN2.
-
Talked to them again a while ago, and I've emailed these pics and several others. Whoever said they'd send a drone apparently didn't know what she was talking about, according to the guy I spoke with today, but these pictures will tell them what they need to know until the adjustor gets here, which still won't be for another couple of days. But I've been directed to proceed with finding a couple of local contractors to give their estimates of the damage and the costs involved. Priority #1 is getting the tree off the house and covering it to prevent continuing water damage.
-
I said these are worth a thousand words, but as I look at them now, I see they're really only worth about a hundred. I'll do a complete album sometime, showing the full extent of damage around my property and around the neighborhood.
-
And with that, I must be off before a major coffee explosion occurs. I'll probably be awake half the night. Good coffee, though, and I can recommend the Triple Berry Scone.
-
Oh, my!
"Oh, my!" is right! :-\

Ouch!
But at least with the road and driveway passable the insurance adjuster can come out.

~~~Super Ditto!!~~~
Friday evening greetings! I’ve been to a program about Robert McCloskey, done some shopping, started the transition from one trip to the other, and put together a birthday present for my niece Laura. And I just woke up from a nap.
-
Yikes, DR ChasSmith! Thanks for the pics.
-
Wow! Those photos are incredible. Sorry for your ordeal, DR Chas!
-
Page 4!
-
Malarkey!
-
What is this jernt without ChasSmith. I'm afraid we cannot allow any more malarky from falling trees. I'd like to know if they asked permission?
-
In one of the songs I extended I was struggling over three lines that have a triple internal rhyme - couldn't figure it out. I really didn't think I'd be able to jog today, but after struggling for an hour I decided to try. And naturally the three lines came to me two blocks into the jog and then I had to remember them for three miles, which I thankfully did. The first two-thirds of the jog weren't crazy difficult, but the final third sure was.
Here is the list of the LPS that were not transferred to CD
1) Streetsongs (Geraldine Fitzgerald one woman show)
2) Betty Rhodes: No Regrets (Vocals)
3) Different Times (Cast Album)
4) Three Sisters (Kenward Elmslie)
5) Palais Bimbo Lounge Show (Kenward Elmslie)
6) Miss Julie
7) Larry O'Leno Sings Billy Strayhorn (Vocals)
8.) Kenward Elmslie Visited
One of the revisited LPS (and I would have to go through my CDS) was not completely transferred to CD. Only some of the tracks were used plus newly recorded material
plus Martin Charnin’s Upstairs At O’Neals (released on CD on OC label) &
Mostly Mercer (released on another label)
-
Well, I must be going. Time to make theatrical magic again.
Be back later.
-
Back from a fun evening of dancing. I just wish I had more energy.
-
Work was just a little too draining today. Not bad, just crazy busy.
-
Amazing photos, ChasSmith. I'm glad no one was hurt, and I'm glad you're able to get out.
-
A little Mahler in the background. I need to get some work done.
-
Gratuitous Post No. 100!
-
Netflix has sent Jane Austin in Manhattan, a Merchant-Ivory with Anne Baxter that I can't remember having seen.
-
I also know that on Sunday, I'll be watching 500, a documentary about the Reformation with my Bible study group.
-
Back to the writing.
-
I'm not sure that any of those LPs listed above were anything other than stuff Ben put out, with the exception of the Elmslie CD. I don't think there'd be many sales for that - although I do have a way to do it, as I was contacted by his caretaker about Grass Harp and sent them a few of those.
The triple berry scone sounds yummy. You deserved it.
-
Looking at those photos it seems amazing your support system was not damaged.
-
To answer an earlier question, I will not be watching the wedding tomorrow.
To answer an earlier question, I will not be watching the wedding tomorrow.
Neither will I.
-
I'll watch recaps later in the evening.
-
Tonight's Cinder Edna went very well.
-
The house was only abouf half filled (probably the smallest house, so far) but they really enjoyed it.
-
They were one of the loudest audiences!
-
This seems like a pretty solid show.
-
I don't recall hearing about any major goobers from anyone, which is a good thing.
-
PAGE FIVE DANCE!!
-
Good evening.
-
Hi, Tom.
-
TCB, Jane (& Keith) and George - I can be available any time on Thus. June 14. I think the rehearsal on Wed. the 13th runs very late, but any time at all any of you want in the afternoon on Thurs. the 14th is great for me! It looks like they'd like us to physically pick up the actual tickets at 6, then be back to see the 8:00 show at 7:45, but other than that, no time constraints.
They've taken care of specific seating stuff. Should we discuss exact time details on Private Message or email?
Hopefully, George will be able to get to my house in the early afternoon. The traffic will only get worse as the afternoon goes on. I-405 is always a mess during the week.
-
I have been sick in bed all day and evening.
-
Either in bed or the bathroom.
-
It almost feels like a stomach bug.
-
Or maybe a touch of food poisoning.
-
Either way, I have had better days.
-
I'm planning on taking the whole day off. :)
I have my fresh supply of Freshly meals, but couldn’t bring myself to eat one.
-
BK, have you ever ordered any of their breakfasts?
-
I have been sick in bed all day and evening.
:o
-
Maybe I will try one next time.... if I live that long.
-
~~~Feel Better Vibes for TCB!!~~~
-
I am going back to sleep. Good night.
-
Good night, Tom.
-
TCB, I've been tempted to try the breakfasts, but funnily they seem to be of higher calorie count, so I haven't yet, but may try in a couple of weeks. I did really enjoy the sausage and peppers I had tonight.
