I like my Honeywell air purifiers so I purchased a Honeywell humidifier. It will arrive on Friday.
I obtained a huge number of grapefruit the other day.
I am making grapefruit cupcakes.
And I still can't find my swirl tip.
I shall only post photos of my FDR from the front....and my pince-nez glasses arrived in the mail today....
DR Jrand67, is it too late for you to be squeaking in under the Tony deadlines this year?
I know that many of you have iPads. Any thoughts? Does anyone have a Fire? I prefer to read real books, but an e-reader would give me greater access.
ASK BK
Can you choose your favorite vocal CD you've produced over the years and explain your choices for the sequencing of the songs?
Nice jazzy notes.
I wonder what show I am thinking of DR GEORGE....you were in some mystery musical.....hmmmm....maybe I dreamed it.

I have a kindle not a kindle fire. To me a kindle fire is a tablet and not an e-reader. Although you can read kindle books. It's just not the same on your eyes as you are reading on a tablet.
Have you ever tried reading e-books on an e-reader? I am always amazed when avid readers say that they prefer real books. To me the kindle is the greatest invention. It is so convenient and so much easier than reading an actual physical book. You can adjust the type size. It is so much lighter. You can carry it around everywhere. You can get books immediately. I never thought that I would love e-books. But honestly I would be fine never reading a physical book again.
DR Jennifer,
There's no question that e-readers have several major advantages over real books. My preference began with my love of books and reading; I didn't want any changes to that experience. But there's now another issue: my wonky eyes. I've been having a lot of trouble with my eyes since the surgery and online reading, which I do much of the day, doesn't help. I have trouble reading paper books, too, but it's somehow a different visual experience. No question that there's an e-reader in my future. Right now my main concern is a good back-up to my Macbook. I do take your points, though.
There are lots of HOA rules here and making certain changes, especially outside our units, need approval. Messing with public areas is definitely not permitted. When we first moved in and put our bronze statue of a girl and her dog on the planter wall next to us all it took was one person to complain and we had to move it. EVERYONE else loved her there and was sorry to see her go.
Perhaps enjoyable and relaxing were the wrong words

Is it too late to request approval, especially since so many of your neighbors liked it? You could mention that so many of them were fans of the statue.
Today, my mom had foot surgery. She has been having troubles lately and she told me that they were going to "stretch her Achilles' tendon." :o She's home now and is resting comfortably. I'm leaving work now and will go over there for a while.
And I went to the Greek place and bought some lemon chicken soup and some pastachia
Healing vibes for DR George's mother!
The first place I lived when I moved East was an apartment in Crystal City in Arlington, VA. The train passed by. The rumble always felt like an earthquake. It made me feel right at home.
Sixteen years ago today, one of the best dance instructors at Arthur Murray was in a motorcycle accident and lost a leg. It took her awhile, but she finally realized that she wasn't all dancing. And she's been rebuilding her life. She has turned to animal rescue among other things and has been posting videos of a pitbull she's recently saved. Sweet looking critter.
It all just makes me tired.

I love watching the trains go by.

Strange that today was also the death of a friend from the same studio. Tom found out just about three months ago that he had pancreatic cancer. He and his wife are two of the nicest people I've met there. Very sad story.
