Well, you've read the notes, the notes were bookends, and now it is time for you to post until the bookend cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: BACCIFEROUS!
-
First post after BK.
-
BK, I posted my Freshly dinners last night.
-
Good night, George.
-
Good night, Tom.
-
I got an updated debit card yesterday and have been updating my automatic payments. Hopefully, I got them all.
-
Good day to all
-
and a happy weekend
-
Good morning, all!
-
Chef Anthony Bourdain has died. I was a fan.
-
Today is more of the usual/ We'll see how far I get on How To Succeed . . . and I need a market trip.
-
Good morning, all.
-
Chef Anthony Bourdain has died. I was a fan.
That’s a shock. He helped a lot of others in the industry.
-
T.O.D.
We've got some films recorded from the last few weeks.
Watched TALES OF MANHATTAN last night (with the W.C. Fields sequence restored).
May watch GREYFRIAR'S BOBBY tonight. When we were in Scotland years ago, we visited the dog's statue.
-
I just spoke to Randy. The surgeons believe that they removed all of Jo's cancer, and I of course credit the HHW vibes for that. She's now seeing an oncologist but things look good.
-
Good morning, all.
-
Friday. Oh yes, it is Friday. Hmm, I remember when that used to mean something. :)
-
I just spoke to Randy. The surgeons believe that they removed all of Jo's cancer, and I of course credit the HHW vibes for that. She's now seeing an oncologist but things look good.
Good to hear, and continuing strong vibes!
-
TOD
Oy! :)
Maybe this weekend.
-
Today, after a few days off from it, I'm back to some chainsawing.
-
And that's a familiar, everyday sound now in the neighborhood. One person or another is out there cutting things and cleaning things up at any given time.
-
Looking forward to the Annie report.
Vibes to all!
Back later.
-
I just spoke to Randy. The surgeons believe that they removed all of Jo's cancer, and I of course credit the HHW vibes for that. She's now seeing an oncologist but things look good.
This is good news.
Vibes the cancer is gone for good!

DR George what brand of vegan baloney do you like? I haven't had that in years.

Dental vibes for DR Vixmom! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Vibes for Jo!~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
-
Good news about Jo from DR ELMORE....continued healing vibes.
Continued healing vibes for DR VIXMOM.
-
Great notes....and posts from last night.
ANNIE is up and running. Thanks to all for the vibes! They certainly worked....there were a couple of weird things.....
Sandy the Dog spotted her owner's father in the audience and wanted to go sit with him, so most of "Hooverville" was spent with Annie fighting the leash....eventually Sandy got her way, and the owner came out & got her....
AND nobody came to push me and my wheelchair on for the cabinet scene....so as the lights came all the way up, I rolled myself on. Everyone was sitting there talking away as if they hadn't even noticed I wasn't there.....
Strange....but I am promised that Harold Ickes will be there tonight to help me.....someone told him to take some chairs onstage, and he forgot he had another job to do....
-
I am tired....so I plan to rest today....a LOT

Funny about Sandy. Good luck that doesn't happen again.
-
And yes, I do have two high school boys in my cabinet.....
-
Thanks DR JANE....fingers crossed.
-
I am back from spending $50 at the Big Supermarket at 86th Street. Annabelle and Thatch had some deli turkey so they are very happy. Annabelle's breathing is better today, and there's been a lot of sneezing.
The air purifier just arrived and I need to learn its assemblage.
-
Annabelle has discovered that nirvana is an empty Honeywell Air Purifier carton. I'd love to keep it for her and Thatch but it's way too huge. I'll give them a day with it.
-
And here is the item. The carton is about 18 inches tall, 16 inches wide and 24 inches long. There's room for both of them and a friend.
-
That's what we tend to do here. We'd toss the big box right away, but then they love it so much that we just can't. So we give it a couple of days for them to really enjoy it and for the thrill to wear off, then we do the deed.
-
And yes, I do have two high school boys in my cabinet.....
;D
-
And yes, I do have two high school boys in my cabinet.....
They're probably smarter than anyone in Trump's.
-
LOL DR ELMORE....well....one of them is.....
-
I just spoke to Randy. The surgeons believe that they removed all of Jo's cancer, and I of course credit the HHW vibes for that. She's now seeing an oncologist but things look good.
Excellent news, Elmore. And more vibes.

DR George what brand of vegan baloney do you like? I haven't had that in years.
Just say no. Oh, hell, no. WTF, no. No. No. No.
-
LOL.

Just say no. Oh, hell, no. WTF, no. No. No. No.
When "no" means "no".
-
And yes, I do have two high school boys in my cabinet.....
This reminds me of "Do you have Prince Albert in a can?" for some reason.
-
Do you have Mnuchin and Pruitt in your cabinet?
Well, let 'em out, they're causing a lot of damage.
-
What a great ANNIE photo!
-
Isn't the actress playing Annie always equipped with treats when acting with Sandy, or is that just during the act 1 scene with the cop when Sandy answers to his name?
Maybe some vegan baloney. Sounds like something Liam might ignore his owners for, if "Annie" tried to entice him.
-
More Jo and Randy vibes from here, too.
-
This humidifier pre-setup is a lot of work. Everything is soaking in a mild bleach solution to disinfect all the parts that will be wet, so the various parts sit in the bathtub for the next 30 minutes. I haven't got to a bit of How To Succeed . . . work yet.
-
Thank you, all, for the vibes for Jo.
-
Chef Anthony Bourdain has died. I was a fan.
I just read that when I turned on my computer here at work. :(

I got Yves Veggie Bologna (http://www.yvesveggie.com/en/products/deli-slices/bologna/). I'd never had the deli "slices" before, but I thought I'd give them a try. Those are made by Tofurky (https://tofurky.com/what-we-make/deli-slices/smoked-ham/).
-
I'm up, I'm up - eight hours of sleep. Must get coherent for my meeting. And my main AOL mail account refuses to load on this computer - on the phone it's fine.

If not, here's a (much) smaller version that everyone should be able to see:
-
I shall now be on my way to a noon o'clock meeting.
-
Thank you DR GEORGE.
LOL DR FJL....I never open my cabinet.
Annie has a couple of treats....but uses them sparingly. I carry a couple as well.....along with a doggie clean up bag, just in case.

DR Jrand you are a stand out in the cast photo.
-
The humidifier is up and running.
I hope.
-
Good luck you all feel better using it.
-
Good luck you all feel better using it.
It seems to be running okay, so let's hope.
-
While the water jugs and base of the humidifier were drying out after sterilizing them, took apart and cleaned my dresser fan screen and blades, and peeled, cooked and mashed seven Idaho potatoes. I've fed the babies, and I am now sitting down to work on second edits. I want to finish at least one number today.
And I moved the air purifier out of the kitchen to the front window so the humidifier can sit on the linoleum.
-
Annabelle spent the afternoon sleeping in the Honeywell carton, Thatch napped in the cat tree. Neither one offered to help me do anything.
-
Friday afternoon greetings! I worked a 4-hour shift at the garage sale today, came home for lunch and a short nap, and have now dolled myself up to accompany Richard to dinner at Miami University in Oxford, OH. The occasion? The 50th anniversary of his graduation from college.

Yes, I have had the brand. As for Tofurky :P ;D
I think my niece doesn't care for Tofurky, either, but I put enough other stuff on my sandwich that I couldn't distinguish the specific flavors of the "slices" and I enjoyed it.

This is Mousey. He's 10 years old and his owner Denise died 10 years ago this month at the age of 38.
He turned up last week in a colony of feral and abandoned cats in upper Manhattan. He was microchipped, and Magnificat Rescue traced it to an obituary and then to his late owner's parents who live three hours away. Rita, Denise's mother, said that she offered to take Mousey after her daughter's death but Denise's husband took him and they haven't heard from Mousey or their son-in-law since.
Today, Mousey went home to live with his grandparents. They think it's a miracle. Here they are with Mosey and Denise's sistrt.
-
Overwhelming.
-
Meeting good - and I now have my set designer for A Carol Christmas - Tesshi Nakagawa, who did Levi. L.A. Now and Then, and Li'l Abner.
-
Had eggs Benedict and a little salad.
-
Picked up some packages, and naturally another arrived thirty minutes after I left.
-
Listening to music.
-
Well, it's not Ashland ... but here's our little piece of greenery and curb appeal!
-
I do hope poor Mousey has not been feral for 10 years.
-
Hello, everyone.
-
Mega recovery vibes to DS-I-L Jo!

Mousey looks very sweet. What a nice surprise for his grandparents! Mousey will help them feel close to their departed daughter.
-
Jane, your planter looks very nice. These are the artificial plants, right?
-
I see your girl in the background, too.
It's amazing what people will complain about. I hope no one objects this time.
-
George, I'm glad you found some tasty meat alternatives. I'm always looking for healthy, tasty foods. I tried some vegan cheese that was surprisingly good for sandwiches. It was by Daiya, I believe.
-
I went to acupuncture today, then came home and took a much-needed nap.
-
Continued dental vibes for Vixmom, who I hope will have a RELAXING and RESTFUL weekend.
-
In fact, RELAXING and RESTFUL weekend vibes to us all.

PAGE FOUR!!

Nice!
-
Jane, your planter looks very nice. These are the artificial plants, right?
Yes & thank you. Basically it has been a planter filled with rocks since we moved in. We only kept two of the original artificial plants. Today we found the piece of driftwood Keith added.
-
God news about Jo, vibes and prayers for continued recovery
-
Great picture JRand!
-
Very nice planter Jane, I like the bench and girl statue as well
-
I see your girl in the background, too.
It's amazing what people will complain about. I hope no one objects this time.
The complaint was that she sat on the planter wall. We knew that was probably a no, no. We had to put her there for safety while we set up inside. Just about everyone that came by loved her so we didn't rush to move her. The woman who reported us was told she was only there temporally and still reported us. She might have nicely explained we needed to move her as soon as possible. Fortunately the day she reported us, and the very nice complex manager told us, we had the space inside for her.
We have to work very hard to get along with this person who takes the rules to an extreme and reports instead of telling you directly that there is an issue.
-
Thank you all for the continued vibes.
-
I am feeling much better today
-
Very nice planter Jane, I like the bench and girl statue as well
Thank you. I don't think the photo does it justice. You can imagine what a delight it is for us not to have a rock pile out there. We really think the HOA should have done this. The upside of spending our own money is that we could buy what we liked and Keith could design it.
-
I am feeling much better today
I am glad to hear this.
-
Very nice picture, Jane!
-
And now, I'm off to my parents'.
Until later!
-
Good news, Vixmom. Continued vibes.
-
Bruce, I can recommend Nutribiotics nasal spray with grapefruit seed extract. I was surprised to find it's listed as an Amazon's Choice item. I didn't think many people knew about it, but the reviewers like it, too. Under $9. If your sinus issues are severe you'll probably need more than a nasal spray. But this will help, either by itself or in combination with another product.
-
I am now officially on vacation!
-
Tomorrow is a trip to Houston for Jan and Jim's 55th anniversary party. That should be fun.
-
This afternoon, the woman who's been a big help directing our team while we've been director-less told us that we'd all have to work on a huge project that may take six months and up to 50% of our time.
It will be a good team builder, but I don't have that kind of free time. Thankfully, I was given a project that will be fun as it involves writing and editing.
-
Very nice planter Jane, I like the bench and girl statue as well
Thank you. I don't think the photo does it justice. You can imagine what a delight it is for us not to have a rock pile out there. We really think the HOA should have done this. The upside of spending our own money is that we could buy what we liked and Keith could design it.
But the irritable woman didn't complain about the rock pile?
-
I left early. I had done all the damage I could. So, I went to Half Price Books and did some small damage -- I found a fun Texas cookbook in the clearance section and a Patrick Modiano novel.
-
Yes, if it's a common area, the HOA should have taken care of it.
-
Then I went to a CD Warehouse where I found a Buster Keaton movie I didn't have, Steamboat Bill Jr.
-
Vacation vibes to John G!
-
Now I'm listening to the new Stephen King, The Outsider, which is fun in a gruesome way.
-
Good news from Vixmom.
Will you have a new crown made for that tooth? Both of my root canals ended up with new crowns. I think that's standard procedure, but don't know for sure.
-
TTFN.
-
Got a surprising amount of tomatillos ripe and ready to use. I'm going to make a chimichurri with some of the sorrel in the backyard. And then freeze it.
-
I had a lovely e-mail from D.C. Fontana, she the writer of many Star Trek episodes - she just finished GEE are really liked it and was making suggestions for a movie adaptation and how she'd approach it.
-
Five!
-
Vacation vibes to John G!
Thank you, Jeanne.
-
So, what's the approach for the movie, BK?
-
The Washington Post critic, Peter Marks, was awfully hard on How to Succeed ..., which he called a "tired musical whose sexist humor is a little tired, too." Ouch.
-
Friday afternoon greetings! I worked a 4-hour shift at the garage sale today, came home for lunch and a short nap, and have now dolled myself up to accompany Richard to dinner at Miami University in Oxford, OH. The occasion? The 50th anniversary of his graduation from college.
I graduated in August 1968.
The celebration was lovely and I have some things for you - watch your mail!
-
Congratulations to Richard on surviving for 50 years after high school.
-
I am now officially on vacation!
Have fun!
-
Thanks George.
-
Safe and easy travel vibes for DR John!
-

But the irritable woman didn't complain about the rock pile?
Well, she knew it needed fixing. The point is following the rules. At one point she did tell us we could try and do something with it but we would have to pay for it. I guess she figured she had the authority to give us permission she she is on the landscaping committee. I just hope she remembers telling us that.
The current head of the committee lives above us and secretly knew what we were doing. She thinks it looks great and enjoys the view now looking down.
-
Yes, if it's a common area, the HOA should have taken care of it.
Yes but there are so many demanding people with different opinions of what they want. In this case having the worst planter in the entire complex should have mattered, in our opinion but not others.
-

Ditto!!
