Well, you've read the notes, the notes were vocal, and now it is time for you to post until the vocal cows come home.

I got up at 6:00 to open the blinds, thought I'd lie down for 30 minutes, then feed the cats.  Well, I would up 80 minutes later.

I had two dreams about my goddaughter's family last night.  In the earlier one, we were at something, and Steve Sondheim was there.  We were all going back to his place and got separated in the crowd that kept surrounding him.  In the second one, I was over to their house - not an apartment - helping them take items to a storage space.

T.O.D.

We went up to Redbox yesterday to rent a movie for last night.  Hadn't been there for 3-4 months.

There was not one picture there that I'd ever heard of or interested me.

Thankfully, I have 4000+ DVDs at home that I can choose from.

BTW: Last night, we watched SAME TIME, NEXT YEAR.

Delightful!

This is Shadow, four weeks old.  The Manhattan Animal Care Center writes:  Shadow has conjunctivitis, otherwise she's healthy.

Three days ago, this little "healthy" baby was euthanized.  The damned MACC is less a shelter and more a killing factory.

Thanks to the patented HHW Vibes - we had us a grand opening night last night....the theatre was almost full (rare for a non musical with a cast of seven) - and we are almost sold out for Saturday night as well....tonight is about 3/4's full.

The audience loved the play - it is a lot of fun....and the talk in the lobby during intermission, as reported by the Sound Guy was that I myself alone was the prime suspect....which made me laugh....

Continuing to work on the house....two of my sisters are here this morning to go through my mother's closets, take what they want, and then cart the rest to the Goodwill.....

A bittersweet job.  Sweet in the memories sorting through the items.  I hope they are able to wear some of the items.  I personally have found it comforting.  Even after all these years wearing my mother's elephant necklace in Africa was emotional and very special.

Druxy's post made me think about the musical.

Stan Daniels write the score for "So Long 174th Street" (aka "Enter Laughing")

and of course the Mame/Dolly-like theme from "Phyllis" - with that funny twist ending with Cloris Leachman doing what we in Brooklyn called a perfect "slug face" at the camera

Then maybe your character also killed:

"HER DEAD AUNT"
She'll thank you not to give away who did it.

Or perhaps should that be "who done it."

More drama in the writing than in the show (since the show is, naturally, a comedy, and ironic that the main reason she was asked to be on the team was she was so damn funny with great zingers. :)

I came home from acupuncture to learn that there will be TWO housing inspections here over the coming weeks. The LA Housing Department has scheduled one, then the building management scheduled an earlier one, presumably to be prepared for the official one. I can't tell you how tired I am of all this. I now have to give up two days to be here during the inspections, plus I have only four days to clean and tidy before the first one. In hot weather, no less. I've been going through stuff, getting rid of things, and then organizing what I want to keep. Now I have to put that on hold, delay getting my car serviced, and a number of other things in order to be ready for the inspections. Color me NOT happy!

Printed out orders (not enough), went and had a sandwich at Corky's, with a side salad, several people have stopped by for quick pick-ups and I haven't exactly had any time to relax until now.  I have been listening to a lot of music - Harpers Bizarre (brilliant), Judy Holliday (great), Ketty Lester (forgot how much I like her), The Lovin' Spoonful Greatest Hits (a horrible-sounding thing), Pearl Bailey sings Porgy and Bess, perhaps the single worst produced, recorded, and mixed album in history - unless something went wrong in the mastering, although I could not imagine that could screw up anything this badly - and Perry Como, who I've always loved (Guy Haines loves him, too).

But to that audience, there were no flaws. They applauded after terrible numbers. Kids were copying the choreography as if they had seen the move dozens of times (and who knows, they might have). And they behaved. Even the babies, and there were many of those.

I came home and watched the last hour of Francois Ozon's In the House. It was a movie that made me itchy. Ozon's films often do that, but the payoff was really, really good. Itchy, uncomfortable and surprising.

Plus, Kristin Scott Thomas was excellent and her French has gotten much better.

He said, “Maybe you should worry about learning your own lines.  Everyone hates you, you know.”

I woke deeply disturbed, and depressed.

I can actually see the fellow actor in my mind.  There was such hatred in his voice.

But there is still that depression, even though the person is not even real.

Or, at least, I have no memory of such a dream.

I don’t remember most dreams that I have.

I ran into a friend, and a theater director, who directed IT’S A WONDERFUL LIFE.

I asked her what she was directing next season.  She told me all about it, but never once hinted that I might want to audition for it.

Well, I'm off.  Today, we're all getting together to celebrate my sister's boyfriend's birthday (which actually was Wednesday).  I think we're having a barbecue.

Be back later.

Well, we didn't gave a barbecue.  My mom made tilapia and Costco's macaroni and cheese.  She also made a German chocolate cake for dessert and it was all quite delish!

Former DR Swishy Sara's triplets are doing very well.
"They’re each measuring on the regular baby charts as they’ve surpassed all preemie expectations."

That's wonderful!

I also just happened to be gifted with two lovely souvenir programs, by someone who appreciates them well enough but who doesn’t keep any around except for a chosen few. So now I have a MY FAIR LADY with Marni Nixon, and SOUTH PACIFIC with Florence Henderson and Giorgio Tozzi. These had been kept in perfect condition by their former owner.

Congrats, ChasSmith!

Sharry tried the quesadilla burger on my recommendation.

The quesadilla burger (https://www.applebees.com/en/menu/burgers/quesadilla-burger) is my favorite Applebee's burger!
