Well, you've read the notes, the notes told the sad tale of Hans Rott and also the happy tale of 109%, and now it is time for you to post until the sad and happy cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: LENITIVE!
-
First post after BK!
-
The Hans Rott story is very sad, but his symphony sounds real interesting. I'll definitely look it up.
-
I was about to post this last night, but the day got locked just a moment before I clicked on the "Post" button, so I had the info:
47,000
Someone screen shot this momentously momentous moment.
Here it is!
-
Congrats, Vixmom!
-
Well, I need to get some sleep. 8)
Have a good day, all!
-
Thank you George
-
I thought my alarm went off in error because at 6:30 am it was black as night out
-
Now there seems to be some slight lightening of the sky but it looks to be a gloomy day
-
Good morning, all!
-
Today would have been John McGlinn's 65th birthday. He may be the strangest friend I ever had. He still infuriates me, and there are days I want to dig his body up to kick his ass. And there are days when I miss his calls. He was never dull.
RIP, John.
-
Good morning, all.
-
Hugs for Elmore.
RIP, John. You made some great music.
-
Another Moross day. I will do my patrol with Annabelle and then get to work.
-
Good morning, all.
-
Today will be a good day to listen to some John McGlinn on the Big Speakers while I’m doing things that must be done.
-
And my, it’s a dark and gloomy one.
Not my mood, as it happens. Just the day. The weather.
-
Later I’m off to the airport to pick up the ‘mates.
Thankfully, it’s Westchester County Airport which is a piece of cake, basically right down the road. None of that JFK and Van Wyck Expressway stuff this time, thankyouverymuch.
-
Good morning.
-
It is a nice bright day here in Indiana.....
Congrats to DR VIXMOM on her millstone.
-
Continued miracle vibes for MR BK.
-
Vibes for DR JANE....
-
Last night's run thru was quite entertaining. I remember all my lines and rescued Mother Superior when she dropped a couple....
All in all it will be an entertaining show.
BAREFOOT IN THE PARK is not selling well.....so we shall see what happens the second week.
-
Warren Beatty.....I like almost ALL of his early acting films....and most of his directing films.....
-
T.O.D.
SPLENDOR IN THE GRASS
BUGSY
Never much of a Warren Beatty fan.
-
BAREFOOT IN THE PARK is not selling well.....so we shall see what happens the second week.
Audience-building vibes.
-
Maybe you should do a theme song sing-along.
I wonder if those lyrics took Johnny Mercer more than ten minutes. They're the goofiest Johnny Mercer lyrics I can recall hearing.
-
I didn't like the 99 donors, which seemed to have been stuck there for hours, so I made Liam donor 100.
I told Liam he can expect the "air kisses" perk from BK, but for some reason he thinks it's food. :)
-
Tuesday morning greetings! Not sure why I never checked in here yesterday. Or the day before...
-
Today, in 1925, Richard Rodgers' DEAREST ENEMY opened on Broadway. Here's the Entr'Acte from my 2002 reconstruction.

From DR Vixmom:
Actually I have noticed that the entire office has been taking turns feeding me
This is soooo sweet :)
-
DR Vixmom it is healthier to eat during the day. Eating late you are likely eating too much and then not burning off the calories.
-
Thank you Jeanne.
-
Last night was the first time since I broke my elbow that I was comfortable in bed. It was the first time since the surgery that lying in bed did not hurt my elbow more. Multiple times I was falling into blissful sleep only to have a coughing fit.
The good news is that when this cold is gone my elbow should still be less painful in bed. I was sure the cast was causing me a lot of pain and relieved that I was right.
-
TCB the price of the scones seems reasonable.
-
Vibes for DR JANE....
Thanks.
-
I'm up, I'm up - maybe seven hours of sleep.
-
I didn't find any useful videos yesterday of exercises & stretchers for my elbow. Keith found some while on the cross trainer and emailed them to me. One he called "exercise and hearing test on one". It is hysterical. I have no idea what the doctor from India was saying :D
-
Laura, anyone? How do you add a little quote that will show up at the bottom of each posts?
-
McGlinn bliss:

Waiting for an ultrasound. Hope I’m not having twins.
-
Cue Boys from Syracuse.
-
He had twins.
Never thought he had it in him.
-
Odd day. I seem to have set as many fires as I put out.
-
On the London cast recording of Boys from Syracuse, the CD is filled out with recordings from Rudy Vallee and Frances Langford. Rudy’s version of O, Diogenes is one of the gayest things I’ve ever heard.
-
Hugs for Elmore.
RIP, John. You made some great music.
Ditto and Ditto!
-
Waiting for an ultrasound. Hope I’m not having twins.
From Applause:
If there were two of you
Or god forbid, a few of you
-
Waiting for an ultrasound. Hope I’m not having twins.
I hope there is nothing unwanted.

Jane, at the top of the page, click on “profile.”
Then on the bar beneath that, click on “modify profile.” The drop-down menu will have “forum profile.”
Click on that, and then scroll down to where the “signature” blank block is.
-
(I can't wait to see what Jane puts in as a quote.)
-
That's beautiful, Elmore.
-
Today will be a good day to listen to some John McGlinn on the Big Speakers while I’m doing things that must be done.
I have the MP3s of his Songs of New York recording. I'm listening to them now. :)

Thank you DR Laura.

There will be no photos of that ;)

And speaking of All the Things You Are, Sondheim deconstructs "All The Things You Are" (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VpYWY8UNA7M) on Marian McPartland's "Piano Jazz." ;D
-
Ha, Jane!
-
three!!!
-
You know, it's only 73 degrees here, which ordinarily would be thoroughly comfortable. So why do I have fans blowing all over the house and feel that I really should have some AC on instead?
Because the humidity is nearly 90%, that's why. The remnants of southern air and rain from Florence. Lordy.

It looks like Chrome got an update. Tabs and such look just a little different. Nothing bad, fortunately, but all it looks like is someone justified their salary by changing the way things look in a completely needless and inconsequential way.
-
Ah, here's something that's different. To the left of the address bar it's telling me that HHW is "not secure". Have to try some others.
-
Yeah, most of the big commercial ones don't say that.
Should be no biggie. Maybe this relates to whether it's an https:// address...

I have Chrome here at work and I have that message, too.

Back from a Chinese chicken salad and a bagel, and picking up no packages and no important envelope. I'll give the latter one more day, then I'm gettin' tough.
-
I am enjoying my last night of in September by doing nothing at home.

Kinda like my iOS update.
-
Ha, Jane!
Sorry. We left for a walk.
-
Walking with my arm free was easier today because I was more relaxed.
-
Good evening!

Congrats on your milestone, DR vixmom!

I agree!

Hello, everyone.
-
My new cleaning guy, Brian, was here today. I'm really happy with him. He's bright, hard-working, has a great attitude and initiative, and is very thorough. He scrubbed my tub and shower even more thoroughly than I used to, as well as doing other cleaning. The handyman was supposed to show up today to install my new shower head, but for some reason did not. Brian was able to do that as well. Yay!
-
I found all this work quite exhausting. ;)

don't even get me started on software changes that should never be. No one welcomes yet another learning curve; we just want to get our work done--NOW.
-
Ultrasound vibes to John G.
For your sake I really hope it isn't twins. Think what it'd do to your dancing!
-
I am pooped and want some dinner.
Vibes to all.

Jane, will you be going to PT?
After my 3 week check a decision will be made. I need the swelling in my arm to go down. Fingers crossed it will be gone by then and I will have made a lot of progress on my own.

Oh...AM! I didn't read that correctly at first. :o

And now, it's time for me to leave work. Today only, Red Robin is having a $5 burger sale and I want a $5 burger (with the purchase of a drink), so I'm going.
-
After that, my sister wants me to come over and put together a bench. She probably can do it, but just doesn't want to. She said she'll pay me, so I'll be putting together a bench!
-
I'm tired.

I have no idea what kind of bench she has, but it's a picture of a bench.
Be back later.
-
Well, I'm not having twins. Surprise!
The ultrasound was of my thyroid, which had been a problem. The growths on it, which were more thyroid cells, not cancer, has actually gotten smaller than the December ultrasound.
-
I do have to take another drug for my diabetes.
-
This makes three.
-
Back to I Never Sang for My Father.
-
Saw a wonderful production of this with Harold Gould and Daniel J. Travanti. I liked that better than the movie.
-
Fading quickly.
-
Good night, all.

Gratuitous post No. 100!

Page four? Really?
-
Finished with my viewing.
-
With my viewing I'm finished.
-
I managed not to eat any snacks this evening - just a few M&Ms right now because tomorrow I may just fast until after my lighting designer meeting at six.
-
Listening to music. 111%.
-
Good evening.
-
Finally! It posted!
-
That was much faster.
-
This evening was our last rehearsal before the show on Thursday.
-
It went much smoother tonight.
-
But it is still a rather strange play.
-
I have no idea how the audience will respond.
-
The cast is first rate
-
Hi, Tom.
-
I sent you a package today!
-
No rehearsal tomorrow night, because Micheal is holding callbacks for the production of SCROOGE; THE MUSICAL he is directing.
-
One ore post.
-
I hope you only needed one copy. I didn't make any more.

You're welcome, Tom.

Tomorrow I am going to Seattle to have lunch with the widow of jazz great, Oscar Peterson.
-
She is on her way to the Monterey Jazz Festival, but is stopping in town on her way.
-
Thank goodness the weather is supposed to be fairly nice until the late afternoon.
-
Tomorrow I am going to Seattle to have lunch with the widow of jazz great, Oscar Peterson.
That's pretty cool! How do you know her?
-
The drive to Seattle is bad enough without adding rain to the equation.

Here's the bench that I assembled for my sister:
-
And here it is, opened:
-
Great news, John, but imagine the free publicity if it had actually been twins.

Here's the bench that I assembled for my sister:
Nice looking bench, George.
-
Cue Boys from Syracuse.
I thought you wrote, ”Cute boys from Syracuse.”. I wondered how you knew!
-
Well, I must be off to bed to try an get some beauty sleep.
-
I doubt I can stay asleep long enough to do any good.
-

I kept forgetting to buy my ticket, so I figured that I'd better before it's too late!
