Well, you've read the notes, the notes were both disquieting and dislouding, and now it is time for you to post until the disquieting cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: SPITFIRE!
-
First post after BK!
-
Topic of the Day: "The Brain From Planet X," "Science Fiction-Double Feature" and "Star League Anthem" are the first three that come to mind. :)
-
Anything from "The Rocky Horror Show"!
-
I'm off to bed. Good night...whoever's here.
Have a good day, all!
-
Good morning to all.
-
Good morning, all! Have I missed anything vital?
-
I've had a strange morning already. When I opened my email, about 20 messages from October 5, 2017 downloaded as new messages. This of course was quite perplexing, and I'm quite puzzled. Then, Annabelle and Thatch both agreed they would not eat this morning's Fancy Feast breakfast, and the final clincher is that my mouse is dying. It stops working and I gave to unplug it from the keyboard and then replug it for the damned thing to work.
-
Good morning, all.
-
Monday vibes for Elmore and all.
-
I’m ready for a nap.
-
DR vixmom, if anyone should be giving you a new car, I would think it should be the manufacturer or the dealer who's been holding your car hostage.
-
I have officially finished the Gentlemen, Be Seated! work and I need a walk to the post office this morning to ship it to my copyist in North Carolina.
-
As for the TOD, all I can think of are the songs on BK's "Jeepers Creepers," which I love, and "The Brain from Planet X," which I really love.
-
Good morning, all.
-
I could use a non-disquieting WEEK, thankyouverymuch.
-
Good morning.
-
I think I neglected to say I was going to see a local production of URINETOWN last night. Well, I did, and it was very well done. It’s also only the second time I’ve seen the show. The first had to be at least ten years ago, and since I hadn’t paid it any attention through those years, I was thinking I liked it better than I apparently do. It’s certainly a fun score, but as marvelous as last night’s cast was, I wasn’t invested in the goings on.

I can’t come up with anything better than those.
-
BK,
How do you get 9 hours sleep at our age?
I take a sleeping pill and I'm lucky to get 6.
-
TOD:
In addition to Elmore’s choices
Sweeney Todd score
Tubular Bells from The Exorcist
Kubrick’s use of Berlioz, Penderecki and Barton in The Shining
Bernard Herman’s score for Psycho
Unworthy of Your Love in Assassins creeps me out
Brent Barrett singing If I Could Smell Her ____ from Silence! The Musical
Science Fiction Double Feature from Rocky Horror
Don’t Feed the Plants from Little Shop
-
Good morning!
-
Coconut Clusters.....I hadn't thought of them in years until I read DR GEORGE's post yesterday.
-
TOD:
BRAINEX
Jeepers Creepers - especially "You're a Dolly" sung by Miss Susan Gordon
Don't Feed the Plants.....Little Shop
Rocky Horror [Picture] Show and its sequel SHOCK TREATMENT....

Shock Treatment: I love Bitchin’ in the Kitchen. The horror of everyday life.
-
How could I forget Little Shop of Horrors?
-
I've been to post office, market, and bank. I also ordered a new keyboard and mouse so that's my birthday gift to myself.
-
Thanks for the vibes DR George. I must be feeling better, energy & cold wise. I took the time to find your keychain. It was where I figured I left it, unpacked from a packing bag.
-
From DR George:
Yes! You definitely had other things on your mind.
Which is likely why I didn't unpack it, increasing the odds of losing it ;D
-
Two!
-
From Bruce:
I do have some dog biscuits here but oddly no dog. I bought them as treats because Grant frequently has his dog Baxter with him. Baxter is very skittish and doesn't trust anyone, but he now knows where the treats are.
When our upstairs neighbor dog visits he goes to the cabinet with the dog treats though we rarely need to go to the cabinet as I usually carry them in my pocket. We share them with many of the dogs around here and they all expect treats now :)
-
DR TCB I hope you didn't get that cold.
-
I would like to try the McConnell’s Peppermint Stick ice cream.

Once was more than enough for us, however, if you have traveled in areas where they charge to use the bathrooms you can appreciate the concept of the show.

Skip and I thank you for the plug!!!
-
TOD: Danny Burstein doing "Need to Know" from "Weird Romance" is an amazing number. (It's a Menken-Spencer score). This was before we knew Danny from his doing Skip's show.

I do remember having to deal with a few pay toilet stalls in my time. Not for years, fortunately. And I'm not sure where, but I'm thinking they might have been more prevalent in places like Greyhound bus stations. This would put it back in my college days.

I'm up, I'm up - eight hours of sleep.

My friend Todd recently interviewed Brent B for Cabaret Scenes. He mentions working with BK and gives a nice shoutout to DR elmore!

Don't hold your breath ;)
-
Back from picking up packages - save for the one they forgot to give me, which was actually the only one I was expecting. I now probably won't get that until tomorrow as I don't really feel like driving back there.

Had some Wacky Noodles (an especially good batch) and am now doing stuff on the computer.
-
I am at my book discussion meeting and no one else is here. There are a couple of women from the group finishing up a meeting but there should be more women in the main area of the clubhouse with me.
-
At least I am not home breathing the fumes from the newly textured ceilings in the guest bedroom and bathroom.
-
Our place is a mess and not safe for me to roam at night when I can’t sleep.
-
Today is young Wae-Ling's birthday.
She is 15. How did that happen??
-
Happy Birthday, Wae-Ling!
-
Congrats on that shout-out, BK and Larry!

Does your friend Todd Sussman ever show up and they expected Todd Susman the actor?
-

I don't think so!
-
We've had a whole conversation about Todd the actor, which is who I thought the author was.

Got a small residual for The Faculty from the WGA - forwarded from the old address. That's the first WGA check I've seen here, so I called and realized I hadn't updated the address - so gave them the mail place address - there's another check that was mailed in April that I don't think I ever received, so they're checking on that right now and if it wasn't cashed, they'll issue a new one and that will come to me soon.

George, I get the impression you collect keychains. What are your favorites?
-
The car is ours no more , the Geico man gave Vixdad a check and took the title
-

I have no preferences...just whatever. :)

Happy 15th birthday young Wae-Ling!

I had better recognize one of these ;)

;D Guess I didn't comment soon enough.
-
Now we have to decide what to do next
Is it possible to continue being a one car family since Vixdad takes the train to work?
-
Well, I'd better leave work and go home.
Be back later.
-
It was most disconcerting to read of Elmo's dying mouse. And while I know what he meant by "mouse", I have a sneaking suspicion that Annabelle and Thatch may be taking out some of their natural aggressions on said "mouse" because it is, indeed, called a "mouse".

I don't know about such things. I am now a two-car person...with a Nissan Frontier 4 X 4 pickup truck and a Nissan Rogue automobile (mini-SUV, as such).
I cannot imagine being without either, as it turns out. The truck is necessary for some things. The SUV is necessary for much better mileage.
-
While I likely seem glib, it is mostly artifice. I haven't learned to suppress feelings and such as yet.
-
Page three? Really?
-
Watching some Danish crime movie - it's the middle film in a trilogy of films but each story is complete and has nothing to do with the other. It's pretty dreary and I fell asleep for a bit so none of it is making much sense to me right now.
-
I would like to try the McConnell’s Peppermint Stick ice cream.
I'm sure it's wonderful, but so is the peppermint candy ice cream I have in the freezer.

Hooray for royalties.

Vibes and hugs for Ron!
-
Good to see you back here.
-
It has been a long and exhausting day.
-
Work was odd. Nobody wanted to get anything done. But we had plenty of meetings.
-
Then I had an hour of dance/athleticism. A few of the exercises are getting a little easier. But not all of them.
-
I guess that tells me I'm fairly out of shape.
-
There's a potluck at the office tomorrow.
-
More hugs for Ron! good that you dropped in.
-
So, when I got home after all that, I had to make a green chile apple pie, which I wanted to try again.
-
Only to discover I was missing an ingredient.
-
Four!
-
After a quick trip to the grocery, I got the pie in the oven.
-
It's got 20-30 minutes left to bake.
-
But the house smells good.
-
And I'm back to Geraldine Page and Glenn Ford in Dear Heart.
-
Barbara Nichols is in it. If I recall correctly, she was one of DR Druxy's clients.
-
Twenty minutes before the end of the movie, Angela Lansbury shows up.
-
That's all I've got tonight.
-
Pie's out of the oven.
-
Laundry's done.
-
Movie's over.
-
Good night, all.
-
Hugs for Ron, I know this is a very difficult time

Good evening.
-
Well, I read up on this laser surgery that I am going to have starting next month.
-
Bottom line, the only side effect is that the procedure may not work.
-
It has a 80% success rate.
-
It doesn’t take very long, and it is basically painless.
-
Oh well, if it will cut down on the number eye drops i have to use each day, I guess it is worth it.
-
What do I know? I a not a doctor, although I did play one on stage a few times.
-
Oh, and there was the time I dropped by that fraternity and told them...... well, never mind.
-
Hi, George.
-
One more post.

-
Hi, George.
Hi, Tom.
-
Today was a beautiful day in the Pacific Northwest.
-
And it is suppose to get nicer as the week goes on.
-
We are finally getting the warmer weather we usually get in September.
-
Today was a beautiful day in the Pacific Northwest.
It was!
-
And it is suppose to get nicer as the week goes on.
Good!
-
72 degrees is not exactly take off your shirt weather.
-
But in my case 85 degrees isn’t nice enough weather to take off my shirt!
-
Except possibility on a cruise ship, where the majority of the men are twenty years older than I am.
-
It was so great having Ron here today. You are still in my prayers, my friend.
{{{HUGS}}}
-
I just gave Nicky a slug of pain medication, and he promptly threw up.
-
I think that kind of defeated the purpose.
-
But in my case 85 degrees isn’t nice enough weather to take off my shirt!
I hear ya! ;)
-
I just gave Nicky a slug of pain medication, and he promptly threw up.
That happened a lot with my previous cat Ebonie. At on point, I had to give her some antibiotics (I think) that only cost $15 for the prescription. I was able to get them in her mouth, but she kept throwing up, so I paid the $60 to have the injection. THAT was worth it.
-
I didn’t sleep last night, so I guess I will try to sleep now.
-
Good night, George.
-
Good night, Tom. Sleep well!
