Well, you've read the notes, the notes sold out, and now it is time for you to post until the sold out cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: SURVIVAL!
-
And now - Dino at the piano.
-
First post after Dino.
-
Great pictures in the notes, BK!
-
Second and third posts after Dino. ;)
-
I can’t keep my eyes open. Goodnight!
-
Whew! I just barely posted the picture of the purple Kindle case (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01H3GNMSA/) on yesterday's page six! I posted it, then tried to make one change, but the day was locked just before I could save my change. Oh, well. At least, I was able to make the post.
-
Good night, Tom.
-
I need to be going, too.
Have a good day, all!
-
Good morning, all!
-
Around 3:00 a wheezing Annabelle jumped into bed with me and went straight under the blankets to curl up at my knees. For the next two hours I had her there making rasping respiratory noises while Thatch jumped in and out of bed. At 5:30 I figured genug ist genug and got up and dressed. I had planned to be up at 6, so it was only 30 minutes earlier. At 7:30 I will leave for my eye appointment,
-
I figure I will crash around 3:00 when Annabelle, Thatch and I watch Dr. Phil. It's a good show to sleep through.
-
When I get home from the doctor I need to call several publishers for permissions to do these choral arrangements. I want to get started on them.
-
T.O.D.
Thanksgiving dinner...prepared by my wonderful wife, Sandy.
-
Good morning, all.
-
Wheeze-B-Gone vibes for Annabelle!
-
Good morning!
-
Congrats to DR Michael on your upcoming projects!
-
Good morning to all
-
Vibes for ANNABELLE and DR ELMORE.
-
I look forward to reading about everyone's wonderful meals.....
-
I only played two tracks on my DINO Cd that I bought at Goodwill....I couldn't take anymore....perhaps I'll try again some other time.
-
Congrats to MR BK & Co on their SELLOUT. Rehearsal vibes for MR BK & Co on the revue!
I liked the pictures in the notes, and I think I found the actress who is having problems......

For this week:
Curiosity may have killed the cat, but it's also the heart of discovery. You are nothing if not curious at the start of the week, and your analytical powers have never been stronger. Your restlessness right now is incredibly useful. Communicate what you're thinking. On Wednesday and Thursday you'd like to be climbing mountains or testing theorems, but your friends & family have other things in mind. Don't distress, because you'll have plenty of personal time on Friday and Saturday. (Although your love life might pull you in other directions.) Sunday is a day for relaxation.
-
Great pictures in the notes, BK!
Ditto on that.
-
DR TCB what an unpleasant rude man. I am relieved his friends were horrified.
-
Vibes for ANNABELLE and DR ELMORE.
DITTO!
-
DR George did you solve the WiFi problem on your new Kindle? I like the purple case.
-
Monday morning greetings! Richard and I had a smooth drive home from Illinois yesterday and spent the evening settling back into our home. Today he's doing laundry and I'll be going to the grocery soon.
-
Good morning, all.
-
Two!
-
Great photos, BK. Every photo of Richard Sherman has a deep emotional effect on me, I guess because he’s the same age as my parents.
-
Horrible story, TCB.
I once went with a large group of theater folks to see a production of Peer Gynt with Richard Thomas in the title role. Thomas was nice enough to come out after the end of part one (three hours or so) and talk with us. An academic in the group proceeded to bloviate about how much he didn’t like Thomas’s performance, which immediately left the rest of us stunned and the actor demurely apologizing for his bperformance. None of the rest of us found it bad, but the meet-and-greet was effectively over at that point. The man was ostracized by most everyone, including his wife, on the bus ride home. Needless to say, he was not invited on a return trip to see part two.

TOD:
I’ve had three excellent meals in the past week.
—An Italian dinner of monkfish with mushrooms, burrata with truffle oil and gnocchi on Thanksgiving Eve
—Thanksgiving dinner
—A Sichuan dinner of whole fish in a spicy sauce with ham, tree ear mushrooms, peanuts and plenty of chile peppers served in a heated tray. Bright tastes of coriander infused each bite.

Good morning.

One of the neighbors complained to The City about some of the yards on the street. Six of us -- all at one end of the block -- got cited. Kind of narrows down who the compainer is.
So I have been busy tearing out plants from my front yard. If The Yard Police mark me again, I'll just take out all the plants and leave a dirt yard.
-
As Bruce mentioned, Mark and I saw "Carol Christmas" on Saturday night and it was absolutely delightful. The script updates making the story more timely were very clever. The performances were all terrific and I didn't notice any lighting cue flub or any reverb issue. Many of the songs were very catchy and I look forward to getting the CD.
-
My eyes are in better shape than I thought. My doctor was happy and I am home. Annabelle and Thatch ate their treats, so that's a good sign/

Cute little Nanouk has been rescued from death row. I do not have to worry about him today.

I need an eye exam.
-
Bernardo Bertolucci has died. I liked 1900 when I was a kid of 16 or so. Not so much a fan now. The dubbing is bad, and the weird sound of dubbing really irritates me.
I wasn’t the right age for Last Tango. Now it seems like macho BS, especially with the stories from Maria Schneider about how she was treated on the set.
-
The Guardian’s obituary says Bertolucci was the equal of Antonioni and Fellini. I can only say, ha!

I don't understand the need for people to be rude and hurtful.

I am sorry. I suppose there is nothing to report the complainer for?

More good news.
-
DR TCB do you have any rehearsals during the week?
-
I'm up, I'm up - six hours of sleep.
-
The Yard Police just drove by. He didn't leave anything at the door, so I guess that's good.
-
Wheeze-B-Gone vibes for Annabelle!
~~~Ditto!!~~~
DR George did you solve the WiFi problem on your new Kindle? I like the purple case.
Thanks, Jane, and yes, I did solve the Wi-Fi problem. It turns out that I just needed to update the Kindle software from version 4.0 to 4.1.3. However, I couldn't just do it in one update. I had to download the first update file through the USB cable to my Kindle, then go through the whole (3-4 minute) update process to get it to version 4.1. Then, I had to update it from 4.1 to 4.1.1, and go through that whole process. Then, I had to update it from 4.1.1 to 4.1.2, and go through that whole process. And then FINALLY, I was able to update it from 4.1.2 to 4.1.3, and that solved the Wi-Fi problem! I was able to download several books that I had previously purchased, and I even checked out a few from my library!
-
WHEW!! :D
-
Holy moley, DR Laura. Obviously I don't know your neighborhood and its "look", but knowing you, I can't even imagine what this idiot could have been complaining about.
If we had yard police here, half of the denizens of my 'hood would be tarred and feathered and run out of town on a rail.
And that's not because we're slobs. But it's a whole different thing in these here parts. These kinds of neighborhoods are ... "rustic". Yes, that's it. "Rustic". Individualistic. Whole different thing.
In other exciting news, I just agreed to sub for a few nights in, um, The Bikinis (“a new musical beach party”) (“a non-stop celebration in song”) in March.
Oy!
Was there anything left for him to complain about?
Holy moley, DR Laura. Obviously I don't know your neighborhood and its "look", but knowing you, I can't even imagine what this idiot could have been complaining about.
I know. It is difficult to imagine.
Living in a condo with a lot of rules and having been reported to a bronze sculpture in the wrong place, one that everyone loved and were upset we moved inside, rules are rules. Some people cannot abide any variation from them.
Whenever we are annoyed by rules in our building that have been broken I joke "Where is _______ when you need her". The blank is the person who does most of the reporting around here.
Have you tried to change the rules? Or is the issue not important enough? Or is it too difficult to change the rules?
-
I feel as if my head has been shoved into a washing machine set on the spin cycle.
-
I need to escape Monday.
Back from a really fun run-through of the revue. The author wasn't there so I could actually do my job and that was a big help. The run-through ran seventy minutes, which is perfect, the order works, the comedy works, and after I gave a few notes and cleaned up some staging and that was that. I picked up a couple of packages, then came home and had a little ice cream to tide me over till after the Kritzerland rehearsal. Must now go rummage in the garage.
Well, we redid the planter outside of our entrance without getting permission. Even the difficult person loved it. On the whole we get the idea of rules for all to prevent something outrageous. Often things slide unless someone reports you. Our problems wasn't so much the rule we broke as a simple letting us know vs reporting us would have been the polite way to communicate, at least in our opinion.
-
Thank goodness DR LAURA got her yard cleaned up - I was about to call the yard police myself.
Good news about the Eyes of DR ELMORE - starring Faye Dunaway.
And good news about that lovely doggie.
-
Thanks to DR AMY for the Carol Christmas report.
-
DR GINNY I think you got home just in time.....the weather is predicted to take an ugly turn....
In other news, I watched the space thingy land on Mars....most excellent....
-
The weather has already taken an ugly turn around here.
-
Thank goodness it warmed up again, if we had all this rain with last weeks temperatures we would be buried in snow up to the roof
-
I am pleased to report that the basement is not leaking
-
TCB that man was an idiot
-
I was in a production of Kind Lady many years ago. We played in the round .
-
I played a nurse , my character was introduced an act II wherein I wore a nurses uniform
-
In Act III I was dressed in a red dress
-
An old man asked his wife "who's that blondie?" (Mind you I was standing about a foot away from him)
-
"It's the nurse"
-
Who?!
-
The nurse, the nurse
-
That ain't the nurse! The nurse didn't have such a big ass!
-
Verily.
In other exciting news, I just agreed to sub for a few nights in, um, The Bikinis (“a new musical beach party”) (“a non-stop celebration in song”) in March.
Oy!
And a few hours later, another regional theater not far from that one is frantically looking for an MD, to start rehearsals immediately, for their own production of (wait for it) The Bikinis.
-
Do I live in an exciting state, or what?
-
The weather has already taken an ugly turn around here.
Here, too. It's been raining all day...which I don't actually mind. ;)
-
I figure I will crash around 3:00 when Annabelle, Thatch and I watch Dr. Phil. It's a good show to sleep through.
I bet the advertisers who rely on Dr, Phil's ratings would be interested in that. :)
-
TCB - so sorry that happened!
-
I am pleased to report that the basement is not leaking
I am happy for you.
-
PAGE FOUR TIME-FOR-REHEARSAL DANCE!!
-
That ain't the nurse! The nurse didn't have such a big ass!
:o I am sorry but the deaf man was funny. I am sure his wife was horrified. I hope you were laughing.
-
And I'm outta here!
Be back later.
Did he not realize you could hear him?
The loud man in the audience was the big ass.
-
So, it's in the 30s tonight. Friday, it's supposed to be 81. Crazy.
-
Dancing went OK tonight. As we near this competition Friday and Saturday, I'm trying to stay calm. Don't know if that's possible. I haven't learned enough of the new stuff for it to be perfectly effective.
-
But I'm better than I was before, and that's all that matters.
-
Watching the British version of Night and the City. It's much different from the American version. Scenes have been re-edited. Characters seem a little nastier. That's a good thing.
-
Had our fun Kritzerland rehearsal, then I went to In N Out and am eating that right now.
-
Had our fun Kritzerland rehearsal, then I went to In N Out and am eating that right now.
Stop. I'm hungry.
-
Finished the British Night and the City, which was mostly better than the American in that the extra 8 minutes or so made all the difference in how the characters were portrayed. Even the ending was more hopeful with the emphasis on Linda Darnell walking into the sunlight. The American version ends with the bad guy throwing a cigarette into the river like so much trash just after Richard Widmark's body was tossed into the river.
The only thing I really didn't like was the British score. It was too intrusive.
-
And now some Victor Herbert. Selections from The Princess Pat.
-
But I have to get ready for bed.
-
Good night, all.
-
I need to finish reading THE LIBRARY BOOK before the library takes it back.
-
I finished my book.
-
Now to read the next library ebook before the library takes it back.
-
Page four? Really?
-
Watched episode one of a Netflix series, a Brit thing that someone recommended called Bodyguard. Very good so far, but we'll see where it goes.
-
Good evening.
-
Page 4? Really?
-
Coming back from dumping the garbage, I crashed my scooter in the alley.
-
The scooter seems fine.
-
The rain is really coming down tonight.
-
They say we are having stong winds, but I didn’t notice much wind.
-
I watched the new MAGNUM P.I. for the first time tonight..
-
I enjoyed it. I didn’t try to compare it to the original.
-
One more post.
-
Page 5
-
Well, it beats #4.
-
DR TCB do you have any rehearsals during the week?
No formal rehearsals. Just working my lines at home, by myself.
-
I’m glad you all thought the old coot’s comment, yesterday, was weird.
-
I just kept smiling and tried to move on to the other people who were waiting.
-
Hi, George.
-
Coming back from dumping the garbage, I crashed my scooter in the alley.
Oh, no!
-
How was your day?
-
Hi, Tom.
-
The scooter seems fine.
That's good, but how are you??
-
I am so confused what it was.
-
The scooter seems fine.
That's good, but how are you??
No broken bones.
-
Did you have rehearsal tonight?
-
How was your day?
Quite uneventful, for the most part.
-
Where do you guys rehearse?
-
Did you have rehearsal tonight?
Yes. We rehearsed the choreography for a couple of songs. That took most of the time. The adults got to leave a half hour early. :)
-
Where do you guys rehearse?
They have a space at the Capitol Mall. It's just an empty store with the windows blacked out so that no one can see in. It's weird, but kind of cool.
-
If you had asked me what day it was today, I probably have said Thursday.
-
Don’t ask me why.
-
I watched the new MAGNUM P.I. for the first time tonight..
I enjoyed it. I didn’t try to compare it to the original.
A co-worker DOESN'T like it. She was comparing it to the original. She didn't like the changes.
Is Capitol Mall the one just off I-5 between Lacey and Olympia?
Actually, we were just talking about the new MAGNUM P.I. just today! What a coinkydink!
I used to watch the original show from time to time, but I wasn’t married to it. I think it used to be on Friday nights, and I was usually in a show.
It's a little further south. It's the one just off 101, just off I-5 between Olympia and Tumwater.
A small world.
Okay, the one on Black Lake Blvd.
Yes.
-
Tom, be more careful on your scooter! I need your comments here!
-
George, how complicated is the choreography?
LOL! Believe me, I will try my best.
