Well, you've read the notes, the notes were written in the style of Ibsen - George Ibsen, a local podiatrist who fancies himself a writer, and now it is time for you to post until the Ibsen cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: ASSUAGE!
-
First after BK
-
Of course I should be sleeping
-
Which I will attempt to do now
-
Good morning, all. It's still morning here.
-
We played cards until 1:30.
-
I hear children downstairs.
-
Happy Noche de los Rabanos, y'all.
-
Good to read about Gittl Mosca, aka Michelle Lee. My sister's nickname is Gittl.
And like TVB, I wore out my album of Seesaw.
-
Good morning, all.
-
The morning has started with a lovely card from DR Elmore. Thank you, sir.
-
Of course I should be sleeping
So should I. I woke up around 4:30.
-
I hear children downstairs.
Children at Christmas time, such a nice sound to me.
-

I see one in the mail box which cannot be opened until I am on the computer. Even then it will be saved until late afternoon.
-
Bryan is 42 today. Poor guy has to work so we video chatted a couple of days ago.
-
Yes, lots of people work on their birthdays but he has a fluctuating schedule and shouldn't be working., especially since he willingly works the holiday.
-
Hmm. Feels like a Sunday.
-
I think so :)
-
Oddly, it also feels like Christmas Eve to me. (And I’m glad it isn’t yet.)
-
Show vibes for MR BK. I forgot to mention the story MR BK wrote about concerning the actress who remembered her song from 1977 and I hope he told it to the actress who can't remember her song in A CAROL CHRISTMAS.
-
Two years ago today, DR Jane and Keith were in San Antonio.
-
It was a wonderful visit. DR John you helped make it extra special. Christmas time in San Antonio and Fredericksburg was magical.
-
Thank you for telling me to go to Fredericksburg. If not we likely would have missed it.
-
You're most welcome. Time to do it again?
-
I think it’s about time I started getting off of my ASS and start on my day.
-
Good morning, all!
-
You're most welcome. Time to do it again?
I would like to. There are so many places I have yet to see.
-
DR elmore are you feeling any better?
-
The worst part of being sick? Sleep.
I had the worst dreams last night. I turned off the lights at 7:30, and the faithful Thatch stayed with me all night. Annabelle came and went as she pleased. I fed them at 6:30 and went back to bed till 9:00. Then I took a long hot bath and broke my neti pot. Damn!
-
I am going back to bed.
-
Oh no on the net pot. Sleep is good.
-
Good morning
-
So far I have set and reset the altar, set and reset coffeehour, attended a church service where I was lay reader, done some banking, bought two egg sandwiches, one of which I ate and the other was given toVixdad
-
Now I am cooking some rotini to which I will add some sauce and bring it to church for our 12:30 potluck to be followed by the greening of the church
-
Then. I must come home and trim our tree
-

Something tells me I was expecting a delivery this morning.
Where's my egg sandwich?? <--(declaimed a la Where's my cake?? in Creepshow)
-
I have too much to do today-lol
-
I'm up, I'm up - about seven and a half hours of sleep.
-
I am ready for a nap.
-
I shall now be on my way to the theater.
-
My nap earlier was delicious.
-
I kept seeing a vegetarian dish on menus called kase spaetzle. My sister ordered it tonight (without prompting) and it was like a homemade mac and cheese. Heavenly.
The again, so was my Jaegerschnitzel with wild mushrooms and a great gravy thst flavored the spaetzle in a different way.
-
Plus, the gasthaus had two cats at the door, one of whom let me pet her.
-
Sunday afternoon greetings! I accompanied Fr. Richard to church today because he was up front, doing the ante-communion and the homily. We went to Scrambler Marie’s for a nice brunch and to CVS and Walgreens for the last of the holiday shopping. Home now to make caramel corn.
-
DR TCB, you asked last night about rice pudding. It’s not really a Christmas tradition, but it is one of Richard’s favorite things to eat. He found a new recipe and we’d had Chinese carry-out the other night, so I used up the leftover rice. It’s not bad, but I used too much of the rice, so it’s not very pudding-y. Next time...
-
I am enjoying DR John G’s German travelogue...
-
Feel better vibes for DR Elmore - and thanks for the card!
-
More feel better vibes for DR ELMORE.....get it done vibes for DR JANE and DR CHAS SMITH.
Show vibes for MR BI & Co and DR GEORGE - whose shows closes today , I think.
-
I just heard on the television machine that Monday AND Tuesday are Federal Holidays, so no regular mail delivery until Wednesday.
-
I am watching the finals matches of the Hawaiian Open Tennis tournament...... Ladies First...and then The Gentlemen.
-
Bryan is 42 today. Poor guy has to work so we video chatted a couple of days ago.
A Very Happy Birthday to Bryan!

Time for me to start getting ready for my friend's partay.

Oh my gosh, my old log in works!
And welcome back.
-
I am enjoying DR John G’s German travelogue...
Thank you. I'm really enjoying my time with my sister. And i met so many new-to-me family members, ranging from a 3-month-old to my great-nieces' better halves.
-
I spent the day lying down with Annabelle on my lap and Thatch at my side, dozing through the PBS cooking shows. I'm now having some Progresso chicken soup with ten chopped cloves of garlic. On Friday, when I know this cold was coming on, I thought I'd get through some of my Christmas book, but my eyes are too ache-y.
-
No mail delivery tomorrow? Damn!
-
This should be the end of page 2.
-
Page 3, I hope?
-
Indeed!
-
No mail delivery tomorrow? Damn!
USPS website says mail will be delivered tomorrow. Have you received an envelope from us?

Those sound yummy if you remove the meat.

Awww, lucky you.

So am I.

Thank you. Not there yet as I had too many interruptions. Back to work as soon as I catch up here.
-
I just heard on the television machine that Monday AND Tuesday are Federal Holidays, so no regular mail delivery until Wednesday.
Oh no, we are truly screwed.
-
Bryan is 42 today. Poor guy has to work so we video chatted a couple of days ago.
A Very Happy Birthday to Bryan!
Thank you. Talking to him was one of my "interruptions".

Really, really nice. Will any of this family visit you next Christmas?
-
I haven't found anything that says there will not be mail delivery on the 24th. From the USPS website:
Christmas Eve Schedule
Local Post Office Hours
Christmas hours are posted at each Post Office location.
Your Post Office location may close early on Christmas Eve, Monday, December 24.
Business customers, please check with your Bulk Mail Entry Unit for hours of operation.
USPS Blue Collection Boxes
Blue collection boxes with final collection times before 12 p.m. (noon) will not be affected by early closing on December 24.
If a box has a final collection time after 12 p.m., its mail may be picked up earlier. For mail pickup on December 24, please put your mail into blue collection boxes by noon regardless of the final collection times posted on the box.
Customers who need later mail pickups on December 24 should visit their local Post Office.
Regular Mail Delivery
Mail will be delivered as usual Christmas Eve, Monday, December 24.

I still might be in trouble if an expected package does not arrive tomorrow.
-
Darn, the package is from Fedex, not USPS and it is already late.
-
Back from another fine show and a quieter audience than last night and Friday night, but boy did they cheer at the end - they did laugh and all the numbers got big applause. It was oversold and we accommodated about eight extra people beyond what the theater holds.
-
Trump just gave all federal workers the day off on Dec. 24. Whether that affects the mail, I cant say. How the shutdown affects mail delivery I also don't know.

From my old high school acquaintance.
-
Good evening.
-
My grandson made his theatrical debut today as Baby Jesus. He slept through it.

I read mail will be delivered if there is a shutdown.

Not yet. DR JRand68 said there was no mail tomorrow. Did I read his post incorrectly?

I'm off to bed.

Hmm, that concerns me. I’ll check the tracking tomorrow when I’m at my computer and more awake.
-
Since we got home I’ve
1) wrapped Mary Linda’s stocking stuffers
2) made a batch of caramel corn
3) fixed some nachos for our supper
4) stalked an Amazon delivery, which finally arrived about 8pm
5) gift-wrapped the item Amazon delivered and put it under the tree
6) made up gift bags of caramel corn for Mary Linda’s family, our sister-in-law Jayne, and our niece Lauren
I quit for the night.

Yes but he was incorrect. Mail will be delivered :)

That's great, BK!
-
And now...
-
PAGE FOUR DANCE!!
-
Today's A Christmas Story went really well!
-
We had a great audience. They really liked it!
-
After the show, we had a cast party at a local restaurant. We had mini pizzas, huge meatballs in a red sauce, veggies and hummus, chicken wings, and a couple of other things that I can't remember. Quite delish!
-
After the cast party, I went to Costco to get a couple of things, then I went to Fred Meyer for a couple of other things, then I went to my sister's to drop off a Schwan's cheesecake for tomorrow and some cheesecake and brownie bites for Christmas day.
-
Then I came home and did a load of laundry.
-
Now, I'm watching TV.
-
Hello from Buffalo!
-
DR Laura, a new star has made his debut! Should we notify all of the award committees to be watching for him?
-
Had a mini-bonfire earlier in the backyard. A belated Solstice celebration.
-
Oh my gosh, my old log in works!
Oh darn, I missed this post earlier. I am very glad it worked.
-

Hello.

I thought you like the Costco cheesecake.
-
Made two big batches of tuna pasta salad, then watched the Ellen Degeneres thing on Netflix, which was fun, and now I shall slice and dice.

I do, but I happened to get the Schwan's cheesecake, so that's what I'm bringing. :)
-
Good evening.
-
Today did not turn out to be the day that I had planned.
-
Onion is chopped, and more importantly garlic is minced, and now I can relax, write notes, and listen to some music.
-
I had another night of little sleep.
-
Then when I awoke, I felt like carp!
-
I was dizzy and had chills, not to mention feeling sick to my stomach
-
I quickly did what I could to put everything on hold.
-
Onion is chopped, and more importantly garlic is minced, and now I can relax, write notes, and listen to some music.
I thought of changing my name to Garlic, because I love to mince!
-
Anyway, i then returned to bed where I crashed for the entire day.
-
I woke up in time to watch the Seahawks’ game at 5:20 p.m.
-
Then I made some clam chowder for my dinner.
-
Not homemade chowder, just some Campbell’s Chunky.
-
And I stayed in bed.
-
That was my entire day.
-
One more post.
-
Page Five
-
I still have chills.
-
And I have basically run out of time until Christmas.
-
I am listening to an album (What’s an album?) entitled “Now That’s What I Call Christmas.”
-
I just went from Bing’s White Christmas to Elvis’ Blue Christmas.
-
It is actually a nice mix of old and new.
-
Well, new up to 2001 when this was released.
-
I don’t have much in the way of presents this year.
-
And the majority of them are gift cards.
-
Another drawback to doing a
Christmas Holiday show.
-
No CAROL CHRISTMAS received in Tacoma, yet.
-
I need to go the grocery store early tomorrow.
-
I need cranberry juice, garlic powder, and two big bage of Ruffles or Wavy potato chips.
-
Shrimp dip is kind of silly without chips to go with it.
-
Well, I am feeling kind of lonely here by myself.
-
So, goodnight.
-
I was dizzy and had chills, not to mention feeling sick to my stomach
~~~Feel Better Vibes for Tom!!~~~
-
Tomorrow (actually, today, since it's after midnight) is Christmas eve and the final performance of A Christmas Story!
-
After the show, we'll have strike. Our stage manager expects it to only take about an hour. That would be nice.
-
After strike, I'm off to my parents' house for our annual Christmas Eve do!
-
I got my mom a blue planter that I hope she'll like.
-
She likes gardening stuff.
