Well, you've read the notes, the notes were anxious and had hair, and now it is time for you to post until the anxious, hairy cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: PLENTITUDE!
-
First post after BK!
-
Well, I'm having trouble staying awake (no, really!), so I'm off to bed. I told my sister that I would go to her place and put up some new light fixtures that she got, and I shall, but I need to get them done before the Academy Awards start at 5 pm, left coast time! So, sadly, I can't stay up late or sleep in. :P
-
Good night, BK, and have a good day, all! I hope everyone's Oscar predictions win!
;)
-
I'm still here.
-
Good morning, all.
-
Good night, BK, and have a good day, all! I hope everyone's Oscar predictions win!
;)
I doubt it. I’m rooting, as usual for some underdogs, including Spike Lee.
-
In case I missed anybody yesterday, thank you all for the kind birthday wishes.
-
As is my habit, I will watch the Oscars tonight.
If I get too bored, as I did a couple of years ago, I'll go into my office and work on my next play.
-
I've only seen 2 of the nominated films thus far:
THE WIFE (Glenn Close was terrific.)
THE BLACK KLANSMAN (Just so-so)
Most of the other nominees, unless they win, are of little interest.
-
Good morning, all.
-
Good morning!
-
I will be E&T from the Oscars partay because of the show. I’m out from five in the evening till nearly midnight.
Won’t see it at all unless I DVR it, but honestly, I know I wouldn’t ever sit down and watch it on another day. I’ll have to catch the clips of anything interesting or outrageous that happens.
Have a fine evening, everyone!
-
My dream was as crazy a musical thing as they get. I was learning how to physically “put together” the instruments I’d be playing for each Hello, Dolly! song. It defies description.
-
But it also had to do with checking recordings for how a few passages originally sounded, after a few questions arose in my lovely mind last night. That will be done today.
-
Good morning, all!
-
I slept really late after feeding the kitties. Annabelle crawled into bed ands slept at my knees and Thatch curled up at my chest. They had a nice nap and I got two and a half more hours of sleep.

I always confuse Tuesdays with Morrie with my friend Jeff's play Visiting Mr Green, which I saw years ago with Eli Wallach as Mr. Green.
BK, was F. Murray Abraham in the cast? He's a fantastic actor - I first saw him on Broadway in The Ritz in the 1970s - but, like Jeff Daniels, he was a complete jerk and rude little turd in too many encounters at The Drama Book Shop.
-
DR JohnG, I love Hudson Talbott's work! I have his dinosaur books. Do you think he'd be interested in illustrating the Annabelle and Thatch stories?
-
My friend asked F. Murray Abraham what the "F" stood for, and Mr. Abraham said in his iciest voice: "Famous."
-
I have no major plans today. I need to clean off my desk, put away the How To Succeed . . . materials, and pull what I need to write the choral arrangement, which is this week's project. I wanted to go to Staples and photocopy a pile of score paper for the London orchestration, but it's a wet day and I can do it tomorrow or Tuesday, depending on whether I'm needed at City Center.
-
I cannot comment on anything about HAIR....mine is on a shelf in the closet.
Perhaps I will wear it if I get a part in SEND ME NO FLOWERS. I would like to play Mr. Akers the cemetery plot salesman....we shall see what happens at auditions in May.
-
Not sure if I can take the OSCARS....I sort of like them, but hearing all the acceptance speeches turned into political rants is a bit much for me....either way they go....
-
My friend asked F. Murray Abraham what the "F" stood for, and Mr. Abraham said in his iciest voice: "Famous."
"Murray," as everybody calls him, played Al Capone in my film, DILLINGER AND CAPONE.

Funny, everybody calls me T.
-
Greetings 1 Guest!
-
I always enjoy the Oscars, regardless of the length (and possibly width) of the ceremony.
-
One more post.
-
And the award for Best Post goes to....
Page 2
-
I would really like to see Rami Malek win the award for Best Actor. I thought he was quite wonderful as Freddie Mercury
-
I think I like Glenn Close for Best Actress, but I wouldn't mind seeing Lady Gaga win for A STAR IS BORN.
-
Ms. Close is the only one of the actresses I have seen perform in person. I saw her in BARNUM on Broadway.

This link may be of interest to you BK
-
I haven't seen any of the nominees, or much of anything at all this year
-
It's a network broadcast - MR BK should be able to watch it if he owns a TEEVEE.....buy a little antenna and connect it where the cable box goes.....and you have FREE TV.....only one of my teevees is hooked to cable....the others I watch over the air stuff.....
I don't stream like everyone else in the world....
-
Good morning.
-
I am hoping my family comes to church this morning. I haven't seen the baby since the day of the Super Bowl, which is when I was exposed to the cold and got sick. I am finally better.
-
Re: Hair
It is part of the season ticket package for our local theater. I will see about trading those in for an extra ticket for Wae-Ling to see Spamalot and Sound of Music.
I have seen Hair twice -- once at a local theater and once on the Broadway tour. I didn't like it either time, so I guess I won't like it a third time.
-
They are also doing the one about the dog in the night. I didn't care for that one, either. Maybe I can trade those in for something for Wae-Ling as well.
-
I was thinking about you in church today Laura. It is wonderful you feeding all those people
-
My friend asked F. Murray Abraham what the "F" stood for, and Mr. Abraham said in his iciest voice: "Famous."
;D
-
DR elmore I can see why you like Talbott's illustrations.
-
DR TCB I was expecting your story to end with you taking a cruise with your sister.
-
Not sure if I can take the OSCARS....I sort of like them, but hearing all the acceptance speeches turned into political rants is a bit much for me....either way they go....
While I no longer watched all of the Oscars I would watch clips, including many of the acceptance speeches. I agree with you.
-

Good luck trading the tickets for both shows for something for Wae-Ling.
-
The only sports column I have ever read was Mitch Albom's when he wrote for the Detroit Free Press. His articles were insightful, interesting, and well written. Usually they were more human interest stories than just about sports. Then Mitch began writing about his Tuesdays with his friend Morrie.
When I saw he had written a book about those Tuesdays I couldn't wait to read it.
-
Very strange. The ferry boat, that leaves from the dock a few blocks from me, just sailed almost straight east after leaving the dock instead of its usual path straight north to Vashon Island.
-
It must have something to do with the tides. Halfway across the Sound it made its turn to the north and made it safely to the dock at Vashon.
-
I am sure that has no interest to anyone here, but it did add a couple of extra posts to this page.
-
I need to get into the shower and get ready to go to brunch with my friend Betzy.
-
His "friends" and colleagues may call him Murray, and he was charming to the Drama Book Shop owners, but he was a rude asshole to the staff. At a Thanksgiving party last November, we were talking about our days as clerks and waiters. F. Murray Abraham, Jeff Daniels, and Marlo Thomas ranked highest as the worst. To that list I would add Fran Lebowitz, a writer I like but a person I'd rather see under a bus.
-
DR JohnG, I love Hudson Talbott's work! I have his dinosaur books. Do you think he'd be interested in illustrating the Annabelle and Thatch stories?
I can ask him how he goes about matching storyteller with artist. He is his own author for a lot of what he does.
-
I am sure that has no interest to anyone here, but it did add a couple of extra posts to this page.
It is interesting. We watch unusual changes in the flight patterns here.
-
How I met Hudson was interesting. Into the Woods had just been published, and my friend Carol told me that she knew Hudson and that he lived nearby. So, I asked her to get me in touch with him. He was happy to do an interview.
During the time we talked, we somehow discovered that we had graduated from the same high school in Louisville. He's 10 years older than me, but we knew many of the same people, had some of the same teachers, etc.
When I started at the paper in San Antonio, the HR director turned out to have been a classmate of Hudson's, which we discovered when started talking. Small world.

I would like to know the answer to your interesting question.
-
Nice small world story John.
-
We have stayed in touch over the years. It's been an interesting evolution for Hudson. In the beginning, he was not all that interested in life in Greene County. Now, he's become all but mayor of the town of Catskill. he's done a great deal of good promoting the town and working on needed improvements.
-
Let's get off this page.
-
Three!
-
I find it difficult to imagine being rude to staff at a book store. These are often the people that introduce you to books you might have missed.
-
Not that I really can imagine being rude to any staff in any store though I expect I have unintentionally done so.
-
I can imagine Thatch and Annabelle would be hesitant to live in a town named Catskill.
-
I can imagine Thatch and Annabelle would be hesitant to live in a town named Catskill.
She hasn't forgiven me for owning a copy of The Great Cat Massacre!
-
BLACK PANTHER is the only movie nominated for best film that we have seen.
-
I can imagine Thatch and Annabelle would be hesitant to live in a town named Catskill.
;D
-
I dropped a very heavy jar on my big toe this morning. It could feel a lot worse so I am not complaining.
-
I'm up, I'm up - Grant actually called me at ten-twenty, as he was working on the book cover and I'd forgotten to write the flap copy. So, I got up after only six hours of sleep, did that, got it to him, and then laid down again for another thirty minutes, which was pointless. Now, I'm up and must get ready to see a matinee.
-
F. Murray Abraham was there to see his friend, who was playing Morrie.
-
After a 4 mile walk I am icing my toe, only because I think I should. It really was more of an annoyance than very painful. I was able to easily walk normally at a good pace, and run stairs.
-
Oh boy, oh boy! It’s red carpet time!!
-
It's a network broadcast - MR BK should be able to watch it if he owns a TEEVEE.....buy a little antenna and connect it where the cable box goes.....and you have FREE TV.....only one of my teevees is hooked to cable....the others I watch over the air stuff.....

In the words of R & G, “I have streamed”
-
Me and 1 Guest! This is a huge Oscar turn out!
-
Whoa! Even the Guest has left.
-
Okay, I will weigh in first with my Oscar predictions:
Best Actor - Rami Malek
Best Actress - Glenn Close
Best Supporting Actor - Mahershala Ali
Best Supporting Actress - Marina de Tavira
Best Picture - ROMA
-
Noted.
-
It is Oscar time. I might not keep up since I am not watching.
-
Amy Adams looks sensational tonight.
-
I guess we should all be rooting for her.
-
I was thinking about you in church today Laura. It is wonderful you feeding all those people
Just trying to keep up with you, Vixmom.
-

Just trying to keep up with you, Vixmom.
;D
-
All the muffins have been consumed, I've been told.
-
Glenn Close is wearing a gown that weighs 42 pounds.
-
Watching the Red Carpet. I don't know who the interviewers are. One of them asked Richard E. Grant who he was most looking forward to see. He said "Barbra Streisand." She said "who?" He repeated it and then she said, "Barbra!" I hope she knows who she is.
-
LOL
-
It's a lot of ABC promotion so far....and I'm sure that will continue....ABC Disney will not miss an opportunity to blow their own horns.
-
Several of the races seem pretty close from what some folks are saying on the Red carpet....time will tell.
-
Are they delayed on the West Coast......do we have to watch out for spoilers?
-
It is amazing. I have seen so many names suddenly appear at the top of the page and then disappear without bothering to post.
-

Like me? ;D
-
We're supposed to open with QUEEN featuring Adam Lambert.....maybe if there's no host, we won't have to suffer through a tedious and unfunny monolog!
-
Here we go.
-
Sunday evening greetings! Couldn’t miss the Oscar par-tay...
-
Good night, BK, and have a good day, all! I hope everyone's Oscar predictions win!
;)
I'm here!
-
Today, I went to my sister's and put up three, count 'em, THREE light fixtures, then I got gas.
-
First award: outstanding supporting actress: Regina King
-
She looks great....If beale Street Could TAlk.....I don't know this movie.
-
Regina King
-
I liked the patter of three ladies.
-
Her dress is showing lotsa leg. :)
-
I liked the patter of three ladies.
That was funny!
-
Jason's outfit looks ridiculous
-
Jason's tux looks like the one my brother wore to his wedding in 1972
-
But I ain't gonna tell him!
-
That dudes BIG
-
Emma Stone was not amused to lose, and the lady next to her was steamed off.
-
Best documentary: Free Solo
-
Emma Stone was not amused to lose, and the lady next to her was steamed off.
I didn't notice the moment.
-
I don't know this one either.....but they look nice...
-
First bleep of the evening. ;)
-
LOL.....I'm kinda liking NO HOST.....
-
Free Solo is the only documentary I saw. I thought it was great.
-
I know Glenn Close is a favorite but Melissa McCarthy was GREAT in Can You Ever Forgive Me?.....
-
Hopefully the politics will stay outside....so far so good.....one small joke which was really kinda funny....from Maya.
-
I do miss last year's winner doing the honors....will that be done all evening.....
-
I'm surprised they didn't have last year's supporting actor winner present the supporting actress award as is traditional.
-
I know Glenn Close is a favorite but Melissa McCarthy was GREAT in Can You Ever Forgive Me?.....
Melissa just won the worst actress award for The Razzies (http://www.razzies.com/). ::)
-
I'm surprised they didn't have last year's supporting actor winner present the supporting actress award as is traditional.
I thought the lead performers did that.
-
Is this the night fur men dressing badly?
-
PAGE FIVE DANCE!!
-
Ms. Close is the only one of the actresses I have seen perform in person. I saw her in BARNUM on Broadway.
Cool! She had left Sunset Blvd. by the time I saw it. Betty Buckley was fantastic, though. ;D
-
I don't know either of these presenters.
-
I think so DR VIXMOM
-
I think they must have gotten their suits from a 1970's thrift shop
-
Make-up and Hairstyling: the group for Vice
-
Having seen" Vice" today, I have to say this award is well-deserved.
-
VICE makeup and hairstyling.....probably a good choice.
-
Or my closet DR VIXMOM
-
They should have rehearsed their speech a little more, I think
-
Two terrible acceptance speeches in a row
-
And worn glasses
-
Bye bye please
-
How embarrassing!
-
How embarrassing!
VERY! :-\
-
Oh, my! :o
-
Funny rabbit!
-
Melissa McCarthy never made me laugh so much
-
Costume Design: Ruth Carter for Black Panther
-
Black Panther for costumes
-
Finally someone who can read on demand
-
Melissa and her co-hort were the funniest things so far....and that winner looked as ridiculous as they did....LOL
-
I know Glenn Close is a favorite but Melissa McCarthy was GREAT in Can You Ever Forgive Me?.....
Melissa just won the worst actress award for The Razzies (http://www.razzies.com/). ::)
For the same role? Sandra Bullock won the Razzies award for "All About Steve" the same year she won the Oscar for "The Blind Side".
-
Moving right along.....yea....they cut that one lady off.....why would six people get up there for hair and makeup....send up a rep!!!!
-
I think every Oscar show should have a hand puppet routine.
-
How I met Hudson was interesting. Into the Woods had just been published, and my friend Carol told me that she knew Hudson and that he lived nearby. So, I asked her to get me in touch with him. He was happy to do an interview.

That's so cool!
-
Are we getting the same commercials?
-
I didn't know that DR JANE....she won the Razzie for FORGIVE?
-
I know Glenn Close is a favorite but Melissa McCarthy was GREAT in Can You Ever Forgive Me?.....
Melissa just won the worst actress award for The Razzies (http://www.razzies.com/). ::)
For the same role? Sandra Bullock won the Razzies award for "All About Steve" the same year she won the Oscar for "The Blind Side".
I don't know what role got her the Razzie.
-
I know Glenn Close is a favorite but Melissa McCarthy was GREAT in Can You Ever Forgive Me?.....
Melissa just won the worst actress award for The Razzies (http://www.razzies.com/). ::)
But not for CAN YOU EVER FORGIVE ME.
-
The walmart one was pretty good
-
I didn't know that DR JANE....she won the Razzie for FORGIVE?
Thanks. Her Oscar nomination is for "Can You Ever Forgive Me?"
-
I will be turning this off just before 9
-
Vixdad wants to see the finale of True Detective
-
Production Design: Black Panther
-
I wonder how one gets into set decoration as an occupation.
-
I think that would be fun
-
Couldn't find her speech on her phone!
-
Yay! She put on her glasses!
-
And found her speech
-
Is she going to jet the guy get a word in?
-
Will there be any time for her co-winner to speak?
-
I don’t think her gown was a good advertisement for her design skills.
-
Poor guy! "I just want to thank my crew!"
-
Why
Y did we just watch that man with the fluffy bait applauding?
-
Is she going to jet the guy get a word in?
Nope!
-
Are they delayed on the West Coast......do we have to watch out for spoilers?
It's live on the left coast!
-
I don’t think her gown was a good advertisement for her design skills.
It looked like it ate her left arm
-
Why doesn’t anyone ever try to follow the time restraints?
-
Achievement in Cinematography: Roma
-
Medea goes to the Oscars.
-
Back from a terrible play, a Gelson's stop, and making food. So far I'm loving the posts and feel like I'm watching. But what was the moment everyone thought was awful - a speech?
-
Roma for cinematography
-
How is the show itself sans host?
-
Presented on air thank you very much
-
I'm trying to decide what was on her head?
-
Am I understanding it correctly that the men are dressed like pigs?
-
Roma looks pretty, but doesn't sound like anything I want to see.
-
Page six? Really? Shouldn't we be on page sixty by now?
-
Back from a terrible play, a Gelson's stop, and making food. So far I'm loving the posts and feel like I'm watching. But what was the moment everyone thought was awful - a speech?
Two groups in a row couldn't string three words together just stood up there looking dumb
-
I turned Roma off, I loathed Black Panther. But they are perfect Academy fodder this year.
-
The top of this girl's dress looks like a Massey Ferguson corn picker.
-
How is the show itself sans host?
I haven't missed a host this far
-
I think it was the Makeup/Hair people speaking MR BK.
-
No Host is a Success!
-
Is anyone here eating whilst they watch?
-
I am eating whilst I read.
-
How did they start the show?
-
I liked the casual way the Roma guy had his hair....if it was his hair....I may go for that look next....if I can find it in the catalog.
-
Original Queen playing with Adam Lambert singing....it was pretty cool.
-
Is it just me and my o,d ears or is Jennifer Hudson failing to enunciate?
-
I'm reading whilst I eat.
-
Boy the costume dramas are bombing big time tonight....not ONE award for anything so far.
-
Am I understanding it correctly that the men are dressed like pigs?
;D
-
It is difficult to picture some of these comments when you are not watching.
-
They have like 7 guys to carry her train off stage
-
Is it just me and my o,d ears or is Jennifer Hudson failing to enunciate?
Couldn’t understand a word...
-
Seven Gouts is the title of my next novel.
-
Am I understanding it correctly that the men are dressed like pigs?
;D
Not like pigs, their velvet suits would have been perfect fir a 1972 high school prom,
-
I couldn't really tell what she was wearing....but I have a feeling it wasn't Don Loper.
The men have mostly been wearing velveteen jackets, some without ties......
-
I'm not missing a host either.
-
How is the show itself sans host?
I haven't missed a host this far
Me, neither.
-
It's more fun than watching, Jane, I have no doubt.
-
I turned Roma off, I loathed Black Panther. But they are perfect Academy fodder this year.
We liked Black Panther very much, but then we enjoy watching these types of movies. Best movie, even without having seen the other nominations, I will be surprised if it wins.
DR George I know you liked it. What is your opinion for best film?
-
Is it just me and my o,d ears or is Jennifer Hudson failing to enunciate?
Couldn’t understand a word...
Glad it wasn't just me
-
No Host is a Success!
I hope it shortens the show.
-
They have like 7 guys to carry her train off stage
Yeah, what was the point of it??
-
I will probably watch Black Panther on HBO
-
It's more fun than watching, Jane, I have no doubt.
The post tonight are unusually funny.
-
Why is Serena Williams at the Oscars?
-
Venus Williams looked beautiful!
-
As boring as Roma is, it might win. I wouldn't mind if BackkkKlansman won, or Green Book.
-
I turned Roma off, I loathed Black Panther. But they are perfect Academy fodder this year.
We liked Black Panther very much, but then we enjoy watching these types of movies. Best movie, even without having seen the other nominations, I will be surprised if it wins.
DR George I know you liked it. What is your opinion for best film?
I don't think any superhero film has a chance to win best picture, but I think it's great that it's nominated.
-
I mean Serena....yes....
-
But yes what was she doing there. Here comes the STAR IS BORN clip.
-
Half the names you all have mentioned are people I've never heard of. I presume Regina King is the actress from If Beale Street Could Talk? She was great.
-
Why is Serena Williams at the Oscars?
Good question.
-

Yes, that's her.

-
Who is Serena Williams?
One of the greatest female tennis players in the world right now.
-
I really do know how to spell for
-
In the past, didn't the Oscars used to start at six?
-
Spellcheck likes to swap it for fir or fur
-
Unusual for a non-blockbuster film to win sound editing.
-
More sound awards.....
-
In the past, didn't the Oscars used to start at six?
It's always been 8 pm est as I recall so that would be 5 pst
-
Yes they used to start at 9 p.m. here......when Barbara W had her specials

-
Remember DR VIXMOM, Barbara at 8 pm. and Oscars at 9?
I remember those.
-
Who is Serena Williams?
One of the greatest female tennis players in the world right now.
Which doesn't explain why she's introducing the clip for a Star is Born
-
I remember it because when it was on Mondays it wasn't such a rush to get home in time.
-
Who is Serena Williams?
One of the greatest female tennis players in the world right now.
Which doesn't explain why she's introducing the clip for a Star is Born
Well, yes.
-
Our house just switched to True Detective season finale so laters
-
Page nine? Really?
-
True Detective is airing a season finale opposite the Oscars???
-
Yes they used to start at 9 p.m. here......when Barbara W had her specials
Oh I forgot about that, I stand corrected
-
Well actually I recline comfortably corrected
-
I know Glenn Close is a favorite but Melissa McCarthy was GREAT in Can You Ever Forgive Me?.....
Melissa just won the worst actress award for The Razzies (http://www.razzies.com/). ::)
For that puppet movie? She was horrible in that.
-
True Detective is airing a season finale opposite the Oscars???
They are

I don't think any superhero film has a chance to win best picture, but I think it's great that it's nominated.
I agree with that but do you think it should win? I can't really compare.
-
What is happening?
-
Commercial break?
-
Dancing?
-
Why is Serena Williams at the Oscars?
Good question.
I looked it up. She is advertising Nike.
-
Singing?

-
I wonder if A Star is Born will be shut out - although it will probably win song.
-
Who is Serena Williams?
The number one top female tennis player.
-
No really? Roma for foreign film? Then it should not be up for Best Picture. Choose one category.
-
The last time I watched tennis, Guy Haines was playing.
-
Once her sister, Venus Williams, was the top player.
-
That's what I thought....but it is.
-
The last time I watched tennis, Guy Haines was playing.
;D
-
Bette Midler coming up!
-
Have there been any presenters from previous generations?
-
Saw a good high school production of a terrible musical today, We Will Rock You. It was three hours long. My church's pews are more comfortable than the chairs.
-
I turned Roma off, I loathed Black Panther. But they are perfect Academy fodder this year.

I agree with that but do you think it should win? I can't really compare.
I've only seen four of the movies, but I don't know if it should win.
-
Bette Midler singing the song from Mary Poppins.....and they gave her a GREAT BIG SET and Marc Shaiman at the piano.
-
My butt hurts.
-
No MR BK all the new Hollywood trash as Norma Desmond would say....
-
No trouble understanding The Divine Miss M!
-
Keegan Michael Keye who introduced her hasn't been funny since he was on MAD TV.....with Jordan Peele....
-
No trouble understanding The Divine Miss M!
Of course!
-
Who is Serena Williams?
One of the greatest female tennis players in the world right now.
Which doesn't explain why she's introducing the clip for a Star is Born
I can't find a good answer for that ;D
-
We were supposed to go to an African restaurant today. But the place was closed for a private party. So, we ended up getting pizza. I had anchovies, black olives and mushrooms. It was nice.
-
I enjoyed Ms. Midler
-
They don’t have to be a film star to be a presenter.
-
WOW! Standing ovation for Miss Bette Midler as we go to commercial....she sang LIVE and made that song sound much better than it really is.....
-
Private party? You should have demanded to be let in DR JOHN G.
-
Bette's dress has playing card suits on it or was I seeing wrong?
-
Spike Lee is wearing a really ridiculous suit....saw it on the red carpet....hopefully I don't have to see it again.
-
They are really moving right along....no host ROCKS.
-
They didn't give her Shaiman - he begged her to do it, and she said yes, and he was part of the deal - I'm sure his agent played a big part in getting him to get her to do it. But the fun part is that the votes are already in.
-
Commercials.......
-
Finished my excellent chicken stroganoff.
-
I am getting a blood draw in the morning.....so I can't eat or drink....
-
Now I want to vomit on the ground.
-
Trevor Noah introduces Black Panther.....he was pretty funny, too....and looked good!
-
No vomiting during the Oscars....
-
Editing
-
Trevor Noah introduces Black Panther.....he was pretty funny, too....and looked good!
He was actually in the movie...well, his voice. He was the voice of the Wakandan computer.
-
Bohemian Rhapsody
-
Film editing. Michael Keaton presenting. yes, another win for BR.
-
BOHEMIAN RHAPSODY is three for three.
-
That is surprising for editing - I would never have given that film an editing prize.
-
I am currently three for three.
-
No really? Roma for foreign film? Then it should not be up for Best Picture. Choose one category.
It has happened a number of times. I don't know that any have won both categories.
"Life Is Beautiful" was nominated for both and only won best foreign film though the star won for best actor.
-
Supporting Actor
-
And soon I shall be four for four.
-
Can't even remember who's up.
-
I turned Roma off, I loathed Black Panther.
I agree with that but do you think it should win? I can't really compare.
I've only seen four of the movies, but I don't know if it should win.
Thanks.
-
And the winner is:
-
My butt hurts.
Ouch.
-
Green Book.
-
Am I right?
-
The suspense is killing me and I am killing the suspense in return.
-
Mahershala ALi
-
Trevor Noah introduces Black Panther.....he was pretty funny, too....and looked good!
I might find a clip for that.
-
Are they showing clips?
-
Trevor Noah introduces Black Panther.....he was pretty funny, too....and looked good!
He was actually in the movie...well, his voice. He was the voice of the Wakandan computer.
I didn't know that-thanks.
-
Yes
-
I have to go-sorry.
-
Washington Post film critic had a good argument for BR winning the best editing award.

I liked him in Green Book......I liked him better as it went along....
But Sam Rockwell looks good in VICE.....
He gave a nice speech, too....thanked everyone and especially his grandmother.
-
DR JANE we're more than half way done!
-
Sam Rockwell won???
-
The annoying Laura Dern is talking about the new Academy building while we watch a video about it.
-
Sorry, the guy from Green Book was GREAT.
-
No Majo59178u51 (*^)(^)(*Y( from GREEN BOOK, whatever his name is....
-
But that's the Academy for you - they like anything that makes fun of and looks down on people in politics.
-
Green Book won....
-
BSA
-
Green Book won what? Supporting actor? Confused.
-
Oh, so he won for Green Book - then all is well and well is all. I cannot tell you how bad this show I saw was. Pretty much everything I hate all rolled into one.
-
Supporting actor
-
Sam Rockwell won???
last year
-
It was called Laundry and Bourbon, basically two one-acts that share character connections.
-
Oh, LAST year that Rockwell fellow won.
-
Best Animated FEature: Spiderman in the Spider Universe.....
Who was the fool in the camouflage tux and shorts?
-
Oh, so he won for Green Book - then all is well and well is all. I cannot tell you how bad this show I saw was. Pretty much everything I hate all rolled into one.
We Will Rock You likely beat it.
-
Ugh I saw laundry and Bourbon once.....ugh
-
So far I'm one for one in guessing the winner. Keep telling me what the categories are.
-
I just put one load of laundry into the dryer, and another into the washer.
-
They are singing a cowboy song nominated for best song from Buster Scruggs or something....
And that was one UGLY pink dress that girl was wearing to introduce them.
-
Don't know what's next yet.
-
That song just put country music back fifty years.
-
Where are the older presenters?
-
The music branch of the Academy is a joke.
-
Commercials.....
Lady Gaga and Bradley and clips coming up next they say.
-
At least fifty DR TCB.
-
It was called Laundry and Bourbon, basically two one-acts that share character connections.
I like that play.
-
I gotta tell you.
-
The band is under the stage again.
-
Where are the older presenters?
Dead.
-
Wayne and Garth!
-
Mike Myers and Dana Carvey
-
It was called Laundry and Bourbon, basically two one-acts that share character connections.
I like that play.
Was that one of Marsha Norman's earlier plays?
-
DR JANE we're more than half way done!
I was somewhat quick. I had to organize my notes for my book discussion and answers emails.
-
best animated short
-
Best Animated Short
-
Awkwafina and John Mulaney are presenting.
-
Green Books is the one movie I have missed that I want to see.
-
Winner : Bao
-
Winner : Bao
I saw that. It's really cute.
-
Winner: Bao.
-
John and Aquafina were pretty funny....
Documentary short subject.....
-
I have seen none of the shorts or documentaries, but was really bothered by the fact that the Mr. Rogers documentary wasn't nominated.
-
Documentary short subject: "Period. End of Sentence."
-
I have seen none of the shorts or documentaries, but was really bothered by the fact that the Mr. Rogers documentary wasn't nominated.
I think a lot of people were bothered by that.
-
I think I'll skip that one.
-
I have seen none of the shorts or documentaries, but was really bothered by the fact that the Mr. Rogers documentary wasn't nominated.
yes. i agree.
-
I think Period. End of Sentence is on Netflix - isn't it about menstruation? Isn't everything?
-
Weather has gotten nice here. The sun felt great on my face and I didn't need a sweater until after the sun went down.
-
Shouldn't we be on page seventy?
-
Weather has gotten nice here. The sun felt great on my face and I didn't need a sweater until after the sun went down.
I just wore my light knit jacket today.
-
Of course I'm sure Druxy will be back with a one-line post after it's all over saying he didn't see anything but that everyone who was on the show used to be his publicity client :)
-
Commercials.....
MR BK buy an antenna, you can watch lots of stuff on air.....
-
I have seen none of the shorts or documentaries, but was really bothered by the fact that the Mr. Rogers documentary wasn't nominated.
I think a lot of people were bothered by that.
Yeah, that’s the ONE we’ve seen...
-
I'm sure elmore will be back telling us how the two cats gave very gracious acceptance speeches.
-
I have seen none of the shorts or documentaries, but was really bothered by the fact that the Mr. Rogers documentary wasn't nominated.
I think a lot of people were bothered by that.
Add me to the list.
-
Yes she thanked NetFlix.....
-
I'm sure vixmom will be back telling us how great True Detective was.
-
Weather has gotten nice here. The sun felt great on my face and I didn't need a sweater until after the sun went down.
Lucky you.
-
I'm sure edisaurus will not be here at all, just as I'm sure that Pogue will not be here at all.
-
The new Michael Jackson documentary is on HBO Saturday night.
The IFC DOC NOW! about the cast recording of CO-OP is on Wednesday night at 11 p.m. EST
-
Of course I'm sure Druxy will be back with a one-line post after it's all over saying he didn't see anything but that everyone who was on the show used to be his publicity client :)
;D
-
I'm quite full right now but still I must have some Swedish Fish - it's simply done, you know.
-
I fear this year that won't be the case.
-
Bruce you interrupted me ;)
-
Gotta go for real now.
Laters
-
The new Michael Jackson documentary is a hit job and I shan't watch it. The filmmakers had an agenda, which they don't even attempt to hide, they spoke to NO ONE who might have another opinion about the truth or fiction of this documentary and its participants.
-
Clip for ROMA introduced by Diego Luna and a chef!!!
-
And then there was the time I ate a churro.
-
So, Warren Beatty isn't on the awards but a chef is.
-
Where's Tom Hanks? Where's Meryl Streep? Where's Raquel Welch? Where's Cher? Where's F. Murray Abraham for that matter?
-
Visual effects!
-
Paul RUdd and Sarah Paulson
-
Where's Harrison Ford? Where's Jodie Foster?
-
Visual effects: First Man
-
Winner FIRST MAN....that was a surprise.
-
Best Visual Effects: Black Panther.
-
Really? First Man???
-
I would have given First Man zero awards.
-
OMG they set the stage and Brad and Gaga came up from the audience to sing.....very nice!
-
I have eaten some Swedish Fish and shall now eat some Armenian Carrots.
-
Bradley Cooper and Lady Gaga are singing the nominated song for A Star is Born.
-
Bradley Cooper and Lady Gaga singing the song from A Star is Born
-
Audience likes it.
-
I have been told that the main set for the Oscars is quite ugly.
-
"Shallow"
-
I'm guessing Shallow will win, knowing the Academy. Unless Marc's agent sent everyone at the Academy some swag to garner votes :) Which I would not put past him.
-
Another standing ovation.....
-
Listening to Joly Braga Santos music - this guy was a terrific composer.
-
I cannot stand at the moment due to too much food in the tum tum.
-
Clip for ROMA introduced by Diego Luna and a chef!!!
Chef José Andrés served free meals daily to furloughed federal workers in Washington (https://www.cnn.com/2019/01/15/us/chef-jose-andres-feeding-federal-workers-shutdown-trnd/index.html). And I think he was in Puerto Rico when Hamilton recently played there.
-
There's only been one ugly set.....but I'm not sure if they are projections or one of those big LED screens behind the singers....hard to tell......
-
Screenplay and adapted screenplay after the commercials.
-
Finishing up Killing of Sister George.
-
Thanks DR GEORGE good to know.
-
Do we think that Rami or Remi or whatever his name is and Glenn Close have a lock?
-
Hello, everyone.
-
Live action LION KING movie.....I don't need to see that....
-
That's where the money is MR BK.
-
I saw the Mr Rogers film, but none of the others, so I have had no predictions.
-
DR JEANNE just in time!
-
Grant did get everything on his end done, but now Doug has to assemble the separate parts of the dust jacket into a whole and he works tomorrow so that won't happen until Tuesday, unfortunately.
-
I've enjoyed the posts. Jrand is in good form tonight, as are some other DRs.
-
................best live action short film....
-
Clip for ROMA introduced by Diego Luna and a chef!!!
He's also likely to win the Nobel Peace Prize this year. He served free food to the workers in Puerto Rico and Texas after the hurricanes (on his own dime). He also sued Trump.
-
Grant did get everything on his end done, but now Doug has to assemble the separate parts of the dust jacket into a whole and he works tomorrow so that won't happen until Tuesday, unfortunately.
Which puts the timeline to publication at what?

I think Chef Andres is amazing. Over and over he mobilizes a team, equipment, and supplies and serves hot meals when there's a disaster.
-

Good for him!

SKIN is the winner.....one of the winners is recording it on his phone....
That pregnant girl looked like she was wearing a lace tablecloth.
-
Samuel L Jackson and Brie Larson
-
Well, they were excited to win!
-
Script awards.....
-
Yes they were....and they could talk!

IMO, it was his team that kept Puerto Rico together. FEMA's response was disappointing.
I didn't know he sued Trump.

Original screenplay.
-
Original Screenplay: Green Book
-
I'm thinking we could have books in three to four weeks if all goes according to Hoyle.
-
Green Book
-
Grant did get everything on his end done, but now Doug has to assemble the separate parts of the dust jacket into a whole and he works tomorrow so that won't happen until Tuesday, unfortunately.
Which puts the timeline to publication at what?
I already submitted my Paypal claim.
-
Yay for Green Book.
-
It was a good movie.
-
I'm thinking we could have books in three to four weeks if all goes according to Hoyle.
Cool!
-
It was a good movie.
Yes, it was!
-
I'm doing the sequel to Green Book, called Yellow Fish.
-
Which reminded me to have some more Swedish Fish.
-
I saw Mahershala Ali in a couple films. I found his performances quite impressive. I'm glad he received an Oscar, even though I haven't seen that film yet.
-
Adapted Screenplay: Blackklansman
-
He was in House of Cards, too.
-
Yay for Blackkklansman. So the two writing awards were exactly right.
-
Good win!
-
I stopped watching House of Cards early on. I was a big fan of the British version and just couldn't get into the American one.
-
Had more Swedish Fish.
-
Spike Lee's first Oscar!
-
Shouldn't we be on page 150?
-
I'm hoping there's a best picture upset and that either Spike's movie or Green Book pulls an upset.
-
But I suppose we'll know that as soon as director is announced. If Roma wins for direction I'm afraid that means it will take home Best Picture, too.
-
Bruce, of the films you've seen, who should win in the leading categories--not who you expected to win.
-
Coming up: Barbra!
-
Page sixteen is nothing to sneeze at, although I just sneezed so maybe it is. In the halcyon days we'd probably be on page fifty by now.
-
Commercials.....then Barbra Streisand
-
I saw Mahershala Ali in a couple films. I found his performances quite impressive. I'm glad he received an Oscar, even though I haven't seen that film yet.
His second Oscar.
-
Hey, maybe the Oscars will end on time this year!
-
I wouldn't mind a Green Book or Star is Born win for best picture.....really want Melissa M to win for her movie, but I don't think it will happen.....
-
I like Viggo in Green Book very much and Rami or Remi or Roomi was okay in his film. I would actually vote for Olivia Coleman for best actress, but I suppose Glenn Close is fine, although I truly hated The Wife. And klansman or green book for film would make me happy.
-
Viggo was terrific!
-
I saw Mahershala Ali in a couple films. I found his performances quite impressive. I'm glad he received an Oscar, even though I haven't seen that film yet.
His second Oscar.
Oh? What was his first?
-
Rickey Miner musical director.....
-
My friend Todd informed me that the longest Oscar show in history was in 2002: 4 hours, 23 minutes!
-
For Moonlight DR JEANNE
-
I've never liked Viggo, but he really was excellent.
-
Music awards, I guess.
-

Music is next?

Original Score: Black Panther

Original score: Black Panther
-
For Moonlight DR JEANNE
Ah. Thanks. I never saw it.
-
Next is music?
-
I saw Mahershala Ali in a couple films. I found his performances quite impressive. I'm glad he received an Oscar, even though I haven't seen that film yet.
His second Oscar.
Oh? What was his first?
MOONLIGHT
-
Black Panther won for score? Hated the music. I was hoping Blanchard would win - that was a really excellent score.
-
He's young and has girly hair....and his name is Ludwig.
-
I saw Mahershala Ali in a couple films. I found his performances quite impressive. I'm glad he received an Oscar, even though I haven't seen that film yet.
His second Oscar.
Oh? What was his first?
MOONLIGHT
Thanks.
-
more music......awards....best song I guess.....
-
What's next?
-
Ooh, best song.
-
They are moving right along, I must say - and from what I'm hearing most are finding the show a bore.
-
And the winner is:
-
Best Song: Shallow, from A Star is Born
-
For Best Page - Page seventeen!
-
A Star is Born
-
So, Mary Poppins Returns - completely shut out.
-
SHALLOW!!!!
-
Good choice....I like that song.....
-
Took four people to write the song.
-
Mary has been shut out.
-
The Ghost of P.L. Travers lives.
-
Gaga's tears on awards shows are getting old
-
President of Academy
-
I thought they would have Barbra give that award to Lady Gaga.
-
AMPAS president....blah blah blah..... Is Barbra going to sing during the memorial?
-
Gaga is the president of the Academy?
-
In Memoriam. Let's see if they start from the back so you can't see the first couple of winners
-
Has anyone gotten political yet?
-
Yay for Blackkklansman. So the two writing awards were exactly right.
Yay!
-
Let's see who they forget this year.
-
No! They got it right this time!
-
500!
-
Has anyone gotten political yet?
Spike Lee said to "Do the RIght Thing" in the 2020 election , but no names were mentioned
-
Why did Billy Porter wear Whoopi Goldberg's old dress? Nobody liked it then.
-
LOL DR JOHN G.
Nice In Memoriam......sad.....
-
They might come in on time this year!
-
Why did Billy Porter wear Whoopi Goldberg's old dress? Nobody liked it then.
Because Whoopi borrowed it from Billy to begin with.
-
Barbra!
-
Standing O for Barbra!
-
Introducing Blackklansman
-
Barbra looks great and speaks well! She must be going to give Best Director!
-
Allison Janney and Gary Oldman
-
best Actor up next
-
NOT Director
-
Why did Billy Porter wear Whoopi Goldberg's old dress? Nobody liked it then.
Because Whoopi borrowed it from Billy to begin with.
Ha!
-
Best Actor: Rami Malek
-
Good choice!!! Rami!
-
We are half the postings we were last year - for some reason last year was more like the old days, with over 1000 posts. But we know who to blame, do we not, dear readers, oh, yes, we know who to blame.
-
I think that was pretty much expected. The young of the Academy love him.
-
Part of me thinks they were voting for his fake teeth.
-
We are half the postings we were last year - for some reason last year was more like the old days, with over 1000 posts. But we know who to blame, do we not, dear readers, oh, yes, we know who to blame.
It's not who to blame...it's WHOM to blame.
;)
-
Good choice!!! Rami!
Yes, but not a surprise.
-
At this point in time we were on page thirty-something.
-
I suppose we could have ten frenzies and catch up.
-
At this point in time we were on page thirty-something.
But tonight's posts are wittier and more entertaining.
-
Thirtysomething. I remember that show. I used to watch it faithfully.
-
We know who to blame to whom blaming will come as no surprise, those whoms who are errant and truant.
-
I'm certainly not complaining about over 500 posts, and we did top our lowest Oscar postings of two years ago when we had 400 posts. The best was in the wild and wooly days pre Facebook - over 2000 posts.
-
No surprises in the acting categories. Now if Glenn Close doesn't win, that would be shocking.
-
Me too DR JOHNG.
I kind of wish Rami had mentioned Freddie Mercury by name.....
-
What's going on? Anything good on TV?
Must be a quiet night if it's page 18.
-
They only have ten minutes left.....they have actress, director, and picture to go......
-
But the night is young, which is more than I can say.
-
I think that was pretty much expected. The young of the Academy love him.
I thought he was incredible.
-
LOL DR FJL.
-
MORE commercials.....
-
If there's ten minutes to go eight of those ten will be commercials. It is astounding that it went three hours with no hosts.
-
I liked him a lot.....I've liked him since he was in the vampire movie....played one of the kids in....can't remember the series....oh....Twilight.....
-
I'm sure vixmom will be back telling us how great True Detective was.
I slept through it
-
Standing ovation for Congressman John Lewis.
-
In case Glenn Close doesn't win:
The SNL Oscars Family Feud
Glenn Close at 1:02 is wonderful. :)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DXm2y4KD6fk
-
Finishing up Killing of Sister George.
Good, I hated that b****h
-
Best Actress next
-
I think it will be a Close call.
-
Best Actress: Olivia Colman!
-
Olivia Colman!
-
So, what happened at the Spirit Awards
-
Wow! I have to say she was fantastic in The Favourite
-
OMG! Olivia Coleman in the Favorite!
What has Glenn done to piss off the voters?
-
OMG! Olivia Coleman in the Favorite!
What has Glenn done to piss off the voters?
She's too good to win.
-
That's great news - she was brilliant. Glenn must be having a private moment right about now.
-
I hate to be the one to say it, but they just went over their three hours.
-
Poor Glenn--- 7 nominations, 0 wins
-
Glenn and Amy Adams can go have a private pity party.
-
Very nice speech.
-
Perhaps I shall see The Favorite now.
-
Yup over.....but not because of overblown production numbers and useless monologs!
-
The Favourite is an interesting movie - not wholly successful, but very interesting visually in a Kubrickian way.
-
Maybe there will be an upset for Director too.
-
Five minutes over, two awards to go - probably end up being fifteen over.
-
Glenn and Amy Adams can go have a private pity party.
And they can listen to the music of Diane Warren.
-
I hope there's an upset for director, seriously. Wouldn't mind Spike Lee winning, or the Green Book guy, but is he even up? But they LOVE Cuaron.
-
Best director
-
Glenn and Amy Adams can go have a private pity party.
And they can listen to the music of Diane Warren.
Good one.
-
Grant is playing one of the Oscar parties, perhaps the official one.
-
Grant is playing one of the Oscar parties, perhaps the official one.
nice work if you can get it.
-
Best Director: Alfonso Cuaron
-
And you can get it if you try.
-
What a surprise. This guy, for me, is the Emperor's New Clothes.
-
ROMA!!!
-
And now Best Picture:
-
I think that means a BP for Roma - unless they feel best foreign film is enough.
-
Page twenty - we got to page twenty and that's nothing to sneeze at.
-
Is Alfonso still talking.
-
Commercials now
-
He sounded kinda like Ricky Ricardo when he was talking.
-
Well, if there's four minutes of commercials, they'll go past eight-fifteen.
-
He sounded kinda like Ricky Ricardo when he was talking.
Especially when he started reading his notes.
-
Maybe BlackkkKlansman or Green Book.....who knows?
-
I'm nervous.
-
Julia looks very nice
-
I'm Shemp.
-
And the winner is:
-
Green book!!
-
Not much ovation for Julia.
-
Green Book!
-
Cool!
-
What? Green Book won???
-
I am so happy for Green Book!
Julia Roberts....that husband stealing hussy......
-
Well, good for them - they did spread it around, didn't they? But well deserved, IMO.
-
Yup Best Picture 2018: Green Book!
-
And so to bed......it's been fun!
-
Now, all we need to do is keep posting for the next four hours and do another twenty pages. How hard can that be?
-
Take it away West Coast!
-
Bed? There's no bed in Mudville tonight.
-
It will be up to George and TCB to make five pages of posts each and I mean now, boys, I mean NOW.
-
Now, all we need to do is keep posting for the next four hours and do another twenty pages. How hard can that be?
I'm sure it won't be a problem for the West Coasters! I'll be in dreamland soon.
-
So Green and Black were this evening's official colors.
-
There's too much left in Sister George for me to watch tonight.
-
Well, where in tarnation are George and TCB? And Jeanne and Jane?
-
I'm here.
-
Good evening!
-
Well, where in tarnation are George and TCB? And Jeanne and Jane?
I'm here, and have been posting!
-
I don't know where Tom went.
-
Ah, Chas has joined us! He must be Dollyed out.
-
The swag bags for the nominees in the top five category are worth $100,000.00 each.
-
Dolly'd?
-
Back! Didn’t see a single moment of it, but I am ketchuping here and being thoroughly entertained in the process.
-
Really?
-
Just suffered a tragedy of the evening. My tea bag tore. I had to filter my tea into another cup.
-
My last post was in reference to the swag bags.

The swag bags for the nominees in the top five category are worth $100,000.00 each.
Like any of them really need it. ::)
;)
-
Sounds like I need to see that Bette Midler segment.

Samuel Jackson said he'd show up as long as the swag was good.

Just suffered a tragedy of the evening. My tea bag tore. I had to filter my tea into another cup.
Definitely a first-world problem.

Oh, the horror!!

Nothing usual. They have new sponsors each year who fill it with new things each time.

Well, I'm fading.
Good night.

Good night, Jeanne.
-
What a nice evening of posts to come home to and enjoy.
-
I am also enjoying these two boxes of Triscuits and some bourbon on the rocks.

Do you dunk the Triscuits??

Do you dunk the Triscuits??
Nope!
But these are just what I needed.
-
The bathrobe and recliner don’t hurt none, either.
-
So....
Tomorrow I check out the clips of Bette Midler. And who or what else? Did somebody say Samuel Jackson? What else?
-
Good night, Jeanne.
-
Good night, Chet.
-
Twenty-one pages is nothing to sneeze at and only nineteen to go.
-
Good night, David.
-
I don’t think I’ll be doing any sneezing, anyway, tonight.
Did enough of that this morning. And yesterday.
-
The acupuncture has helped with the allergies so far.
-
But I'm off to bed.
-
Page twenty-two.
And room twenty-two.
-
Good night, all.
-
Room for one more.
-
Apparently the good Oscar people left Carol Channing out of the memoriam sequence. She WAS an Oscar-nominee after all.
-
Earlier, BK reminded us that the Oscars used to be on Monday nights. And damn it to HELL, I’d forgotten that.
-
Of course they also used to be a spring ritual. And be hosted by the likes of Johnny Carson.
-
It does sound like this year of No Host worked out really well, though.
-
Not that that should surprise anyone, considering most of the recent alternatives.
-
Oh man. These rosemary and olive oil Triscuits are rich.
And so damned good.
-
And I’m afraid that’s about it for me tonight.
Mañana, everyone!
-
Bradley Cooper’s next film is playing Leonard Bernstein in the biopic he is directing.

Damn them! Dam them all to hell! >:(
-
A lull. ::)

I think Chef Andres is amazing. Over and over he mobilizes a team, equipment, and supplies and serves hot meals when there's a disaster.
He is amazing.
-
I'm now watching the pilot episode of a new series called "Whiskey Cavalier," starring Scott Foley and Lauren Cohan.
-
At this point in time we were on page thirty-something.
But tonight's posts are wittier and more entertaining.
They are.
-
I'm sure vixmom will be back telling us how great True Detective was.
I slept through it
Did Vixdad like it?
-
Page twenty-two? Really?
-
Grant is playing one of the Oscar parties, perhaps the official one.
I hope he enjoys the party.
-
Well, where in tarnation are George and TCB? And Jeanne and Jane?
I posted more than usual during the party, at least it felt lime I did.
-
Just suffered a tragedy of the evening. My tea bag tore. I had to filter my tea into another cup.
;D

You didn't mention what bourbon you were drinking.

The acupuncture has helped with the allergies so far.
Wonderful! Vibes you continue to feel better with each treatment.

I'm 3/4ths of the way through it and so far, I'm enjoying it.

Thanks.

Did anyone notice Nick Redman in the memoriam section? I saw a post from his widow and it looks like he was there unless it was online only.
-
THIS (https://youtu.be/npp6Zbi8i6I) is what was shown tonight.

The orchestra played on. They could have added everyone of these people, even if they died on Thursday.

Nick Redman is in the gallery, which is lovely.

Page twenty-three? Really?

Guess I'll change the topic.
