Jane, the two versions of Man Who Knew Too Much are different. Different eras of filmmaking, budgets and styles. I think the original is scarier.
DR Elmore's dreams have been particularly prolific of late. There was one (I think yesterday) that would surely have short-circuited the Dream-O-Matic 6000. Mine run in spurts, and I had a short run of good ones a couple of weeks ago. They've been quite vague over the past week or so.

I had one more last night. While Annabelle and I were riding the elevator on patrol I looked down at my shoes and remembered it because part of the dream was about polishing my shoes. In the dream I had agreed to come to Troy, NY and cook for my Italian friends an Italian dinner. Part of the dream dealt with getting to Troy and reading a road map.
DR jan, I had enjoyed BK's postings on Home Theater Forum, and I eventually figured out that I should come here.
As a side note, I'd lived in L.A. (Hollywood, Beverly Hills, West L.A., Redondo Beach) during much of my twenties and thirties, and it amazes me to think how close I must have come to crossing paths with BK then, at movie openings and such.
And as a side note to that side note, after I'd been here for some time, DR Jane and I discovered we'd both been at Heifetz's last public appearance in the early 1970s.
I have shaved and reset the two clocks that needed resetting - stove and microwave.

All of our clocks and my watches were reset last night before going to bed.

I don't reset any of my clocks the night before anymore. I always wait until the morning (or afternoon, or even the evening). I find it easier for my brain to handle it that way. ;)
I find the British BIRDIE rather endearing - Marty Wilde is a terrific Conrad!
I ushered two performances of Paw Patrol Live today and should be lobotomized after that. People spending outrageous amounts of money for their 2-year-old to see a live performance of their favorite Nickelodeon show.
One family bought the $75 VIP tickets and completely ignored the house rules, which is that each person has to have a ticket. Fire marshall's rules. But they thought that didn't include their 9-month-old infant in a stroller about the size of a Sunday house, even though every item of advance publicity said otherwise and many other also bought tickets for their infant. I thought the father was going to blow a gasket when I told him the rules. He wasn't going to spent $54 for another ticket, so he left his wife and kids. Probably went out and had a beer or two before collecting his family.
So a planned stomping off in a huff, maybe??
So, from these postings it seems I have BK to thank for all the wonderful people I have gotten to know here. THANK YOU, BRUCE!
PS, I count myself as one of the bitchy women but have been holding back till ya'll seem to have accepted me. But now I'm gonna be myself so get ready!
The clocks that had to be manually changed have been changed. Ugh.
I was trying to find a mailing address for Jerry Herman, for my friend Sharry. For some reason (FATE), it brought me to HHW. I had never seen a site quite like it...... all these witty and urbane individuals (they havce all left) chatting about the most wonderful subjects. Broadway... musicals.... Gay men...... bitchy women!! It was all too wonderful.
The clocks that had to be manually changed have been changed. Ugh.
All the clocks that had to be manually changed in November, weren't, so now they're all right again

What's not to like about donuts, cinnamon syrup, cheese, nuts, raisins and dried cherries?

Hi, George.
George, you should have seen PHANTOM in Las Vegas with Brent.
She went on to play THE LITTLE MERMAID on Broadway.
I am glad to know that your show went well.
And A LITTLE NIGHT MUSIC has opened at TLT.

That's Sierra Boggess, and she was in the 25th anniversary live concert staging at the Royal Albert Hall! She also played Christine on the original London cast recording of the sequel, Love Never Dies.

That is correct. I couldn’t remember her last name, but she was wonderful.

How many weeks does your show run?
Are you involved with YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN?

No, but I really want to see it.

I understand they lost their director.

Not again! :o A Christmas Story that I was in also lost our director. He had a family member that he needed to take care of.
So, Tom, you dare me? You think I'm afraid of an old man in a chair? By the way, did you ever look into hotels in Seattle for me?
So, George, you didn’t eat at your parents’ house?

I heard this was creative differences.
Morning, everyone. How do you all get into HHW and/or know BK?
About joining HHW, I was a fan of BK's when he was on the website that he started (and was ended by the bad stuff). I don't remember exactly how I found HHW, but I started lurking and eventually joined in June of 2002.
Hello All,
I know it's late in the evening (do I get a prize for being the last post of the evening?), but this is my very first posting on this website: I am a chronic lurker and parenthetical user (I'm getting professional help). I would like to put in my two cents about the male and female non-theatrical singers...for no other reason than just because. I have been in love with the five singers of The Manhattan Transfer. Tim Hauser, Alan Paul, Janis Siegel (my favorite of the bunch), Laurel Masse (original member, left the group in 1979) and Cheryl Bentyne (in the group since 1979). Individually they each have a wonderful sense of musicianship and style, but put them together and watch out! Incredible singing. That's my two cents.
The CDs that I've been listening to lately: Elaine Stritch At Liberty (love it - listened to it twice in one day) and Thoroughly Modern Millie (like it - twice in one week).
Well, until the next time.
PS. I would like to personally thank Mr. Kimmel (and/or Mr. Bakalor) for knowing how to correctly spell "a lot," (or for at least knowing how to use a spellchecker). A website with which Mr. Kimmel is no longer affiliated, no longer spells it correctly and even the incorrect spellings aren't consistent. I've seen "allot" and "alot" a lot.Posted by George @ 07/09/2002 11:01 PM PST
You know I bitch with love, right?
Probably some time in May.
Tom and George, do either of you have theater work coming up? I'd like to see it on my trip if you do.
I also found this, my very first post from July (not June) of 2002:QuoteHello All,

So, that was George I saw on the corner swinging his pearls.

I love you guys! Your posts make me happy.
Does that mean we can go look at beautiful boys together?
Sure, but sadly, they no longer look back.
Tom, they don't know what they're missing. I think you're a cutie pie. You, too, George.
