Well, you've read the notes, the notes were schizo, and now it is time for you to post until the schizo cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: BATHETIC!
-
First post after BK!
-
Topic of the Day: Fortunately, I have never explicitly been asked for my opinion and been told that they want me to be really honest, so I've never had to be that honest about a project. ;)
-
Good morning, all!
-
Annabelle is not eating this morning and that worries me. I checked her nose for blockage and didn't see anything. Still, it worries me.
-
TOD:
Years ago, I had lunch with Ricky Ian Gordon. When I got to his apartment, he kept raving about this new song he had written and insisted I hear it. I wasn't crazy about it, so I said it was nice, or something to that effect. Through lunch he kept pushing me about the song, and I finally said that I thought it was okay, that I liked other things he had written better. He stopped returning calls, and I haven't heard from him since. He also turned down a friend request on Facebook.
-
I am going in to City Center today, but I have no idea if the work Joshie and I talked about last week will happen or not. If not, it will be nice to visit, catch up, and head home.
-
Good morning.
-
I have been awake for an hour but my eyes are just open now. Darn, the alarm still has another hour before it goes off.
-
DR George I enjoyed reading your first post.
-
T.O.D.
I am a volunteer to read/critique manuscripts from military veterans, who are trying to be writers.
Some manuscripts are good. Some need work. I try to be honest, but gentle.
Most of these vets appreciate my comments. Some even buy my books; certainly not a requirement for my help. I don't TRY to sell them one, but I don't dissuade them from a purchase.
In any event, the other day, I read a lengthy manuscript by a vet that need much work. The writing itself was okay, but his story was a mess.
When I tried to make some suggestions, he immediately rejected (angrily) everything I said.
How did I handle it?
I said: "Go with God. I wish you well."
-
Good morning, all.
-
The weekend is a bit of a blur, so I'm not sure if I posted this before OR NOT.
If I did: Apologies.
I've now finished and published the 21st play in THE HOLLYWOOD LEGENDS Collection.
CLIFTON WEBB is a one-person play.
Paperback and Kindle copies are available via Amazon. Performance rights are available.

This second day of the time change is affecting me more than the first day. But that’s happened before. And let’s face it, Sunday isn’t usually much of a challenge. I’ve always thought the official change should be on Friday night, allowing the citizenry both weekend days in which to acclimate a little better before being slammed with going to work an hour earlier.
-
This, of course, assumes that most people in the country are Mon-Fri 9-to-5’ers.

I'm doing much better today than I expected.
-
An interesting TOD. I’m not sure I have such an experience to relate, but more than likely I have and am just not remembering yet.
-
Annabelle's nose was indeed clogged on one side. I rinsed it out, she sneezed a bit, and I opened a can of Fancy Feast salmon, which she ate. Thatch, who ate both his breakfast and her earlier uneaten one, then finished off what she did not eat.
-
Had a series of “pattern” dreams involving songs in a show, petting the cat (which also had to do with adding songs), and the number 27.
A final one followed those which included parking in a tight spot in a grassy area where people were gathering for something, going into the public bathroom to get ready for whatever it was, and being advised by this retired high school band director friend as to how to fold in a little strawberry jam with the shaving cream.
Oy!
-
Good for Annabelle.

Yes, I was just thinking that last night, and again this morning.

And the word of the day is: BATHETIC!
Was Beebe’s Bathysphere bathetic?
-
I don’t have time to waste not being honest with people at work. I do try to be constructive but i am considered gruff. So be it.
-
As for creative types, being overly critical isn’t always welcome. After all, a creative work is like a child. Some require more discipline and instruction than others.
-
The capirotada came out well except there’s nobody here to eat it. It’s spring break.
-
First world problem of the day: the free Starbucks machine is not making coffee. I have to go up two stories to get coffee.
-
Two!

Where else on all the inner web can you find a post about Robert Nichols and then see three more and one poster is a friend of his....
No where else on ALL of the INNER WEB.

If I know the person, I tailor my comments to that knowledge. If I don't know the person, I say the good things first and then mention something I didn't like.
DR ELMORE......what happened to the song? Did it become Number One on the Hit Parade.
-
I got up at the same time as always - but it was an hour later.
I remembered a clock I needed to reset.....now all is well.... I have 4 digital clocks and five analog clocks - and they ALL read a different time.....
-
...but they are within five minutes of each other one way or the other....
-
Wow, Google navigator just said "There is a speed trap ahead".
-
Then two police cars passed us.

Thanks for the reminder to change the clock in our car.

Monday morning greetings! I spent all day yesterday baking 2 kinds of bar cookies for tonight's AAUW meeting. I'd forgotten that March was my month to help with refreshments until Katie showed me the sign-up sheet with my name in my handwriting. Anyway, I'm taking a plate of pecan pie bars and a plate of lemon cheesecake bars and leaving a smaller plate of each here at home for my family. We get to eat the edges.

I was just thinking about this, DR ChasSmith. Sunday morning isn't the best for clergy and their spouses to be sleep-deprived, so I'd vote for a different day - or scrapping the whole thing all together.
-
Saturday afternoon I went to a gathering of about 10 cardmaking women and had a great time.
-
I vote with you Ginny.

Scrap the whole thing, please. (I said please, dadgumit!)

TOD - In the revolving door of managers and assistant managers I had at Dayton Metro Library, there was only one who understood that I was in an entry level position with 25+ years of experience. He often asked my opinion and one day, before I answered I said, "Someday I'm going to say something that'll get me in big trouble." His reply was that he'd always respect my opinion and he did. He's now director of the MidPointe library system, formerly Middletown Public Library.
-
Oh yes John.
-
What do you mean I can't have a kid in a stroller in here without a ticket?
I'll be back later - I'm going to have a beer. Watch the kid, DR ELMORE.

I have no idea. I don't think Mr Gordon will ever make the bit parade.

If California, Oregon, and Washington stay on daylight saving time all year that will only leave Nevada in Pacific Standard time.
-
And I am home from City Center.

John, are you the one who saw Shen Yun and didn't like it? it plays in Seattle for a week every year, and people just seem to love it. It doesn't look like anything I would enjoy.

DR TCB, we went on the coldest night in recent memory this past January. It's something to be seen once, but we probably won't spend the money to do it again.

I have seen it four or five times now. The first was lovely. Then repetition has robbed it of a lot.

I don’t always cheer on negative reviews, but Peter Marks hits this one out of the park. Really disliked the original album.

Too much work. Not enough sleep.

We got some rain. Good for the garden.

I hope the rain stays clear of Ashland for the next several days.

Some people are just too sensitive. ::)

Well, if Washington state gets its way, we'll scrap the change and stay on DST. I wouldn't mind that, at all...as long as it doesn't change back to regular time when it's passed.
-
Larry, was he a good friend before this incident?
Yes, but he's got a lot of baggage. There was a book, Home Fires, published about his family, and it's not pretty. It does explain a lot.

I saw (but didn't read) a lot of articles (not reviews) about how great the show and the album are, but I also saw this one headline of a review of the CD in a column that was something like "The CDs that we listen to so you don't have to." ::)

Interesting. There's a Kindle version. I put it in my Kindle wish list.

DR JOHN G that show sounds very bad.....but also very now....who knows what will happen.....I can see the high school productions now...
However its set designer is named Beowolf, so there is that.
-
I now have ROKU.....and have chosen several channels but haven't watched anything yet.
I understand that streaming a show adds to my Download Limit on my internet....I think I have 1 TB per month....not sure I want to spend any of it watching Cat Women of the Moon.
-
I'm up, I'm up - I didn't sleep until four, was up at six with an upset tummy, didn't get back to sleep until after ten, and here we are at three-thirty and I still don't think I got eight hours of sleep. Well, I have some catching up to do, I suppose.
-
Catching up is in order.

I actually got a ROKU TV last year and I rarely use the ROKU channels...not surprisingly.

I do like me some Beowulf. We once wrote a musical version of that at work. My song was Oh the Pagan and the Priest Should Be Friends, in which the Catholic priests slaughtered the original storytellers and then Christianized the tale.
-
Watching The Legend of Lylah Clare.
It's interesting, but not great. I do like Kim Novak.
-
Now this sounds like the type of TV musical that should be made more often.

Even if Megan Hilty will never be anywhere near as great as Patsy Cline.
-
Got my invite to Rachel Ray's party, which is this weekend. I think I'm going up to Austin on Saturday for the fun.

Something I'd watch too.
-
Her musical lineup this year is beyond me, except for the Cringe, which features Ray's husband, John Cusimano.
On the bill are Bleachers and Big Boi, who used to be in Outkast. ???????? I'm so out of it.

Loretta Lynn is country music, but Patsy has always been something else, something beyond genre -- even if Willie Nelson did write "Crazy."
-
Well, Lylah Clare is getting worse by the minute.

Just watched Episode 4 of Vanity Fair: the battle of Waterloo, Miss Crawley's death, Dobbins' departure for India, and the introduction of sleazy Lord Steyn. Margaret Mitchell got so much of Gone with the Wind out of this book, and Tolstoy must have read it. The evacuation of Moscow, 1812, is so much like the panicked evacuation of Brussels, and the burning of Atlanta. The whole Becky-Rawdon-Rawdon, Jr. has so many resonances with the Scarlett-Rhett-Bonnie parent-child situation, only Scarlett's nice than Miss Sharpe.

Really? You think so? I always thought Scarlett one of the most horrifyingly evil creatures in all fiction. I kept wanting karma to slap her into the next county, if not lock her up.
-
I have started a weird little indie flick called Caribbean Dream. It's A Midsummer's Night Dream set, where else, in the Caribbean.
Filmed on Barbados. I wanna go there.
-
Let's move on ...
-
Four!
-
I almost forgot...The Cardinal (http://www.kritzerland.com/cardinal.htm) arrived in Tumwater today!

Well,I haven't read Gone with the Wind since around 1975, but I liked Scarlett and her drive. I do believe Mitchell wanted the reader to root for Scarlett, while Thackeray wished nothing good for Becky Sharpe.

Hello
-
Is it me you're looking for?
-
I realized something in church yesterday
-
Pastor was talking about dealing with trials and stress and how we all have problems
-
And I suddenly realized I was completely content
-
I don't think I have ever been able to say that before
-
I hope it lasts
-
I had a nice time with friends.
-
And I suddenly realized I was completely content
😊😊😊
-
Finished with my viewing. It only took me twenty-five years, but I finally watched something called Pulp Fiction.
-
Did you like it?
-
2:08 in the am
-
This seems to be my new sleep pattern
-
Fall asleep early then wake up in the middle of the night
-
Stay up for an hour and then go back to sleep
-
I read somewhere that this was common practice in Elizabethan times
-
I wonder where our pacific time friends are
-
I have nothing of interest to share
-
Since I was sleeping
-
It was a beautiful day today, temperature in the 40's
-
No wind
-
No rain
-
Nor winters cold
-
Hmmm I felt a song coming on there
-
Fortunately for all those within hearing distance I was able to suppress the urge
-
Yes, friends
-
Just one teaspoon of Robatussion song suppressant will stop that nagging singing
-
And I suddenly realized I was completely content
Nice!
-
For up to 6 hours
-
Finished with my viewing. It only took me twenty-five years, but I finally watched something called Pulp Fiction.
I still haven't seen it.
-
Unless someone plays Sweet Caroline
-
I have nothing of interest to share
And you think I do??
;)
-
I think it's a law. You have to sing along with Sweet Caroline
-
Oh looky we've been on page five
-
That's interesting
-
Hi there George!!
-
I bought you a little something in Florida
-
Good
-
But I am very very bad at mailing things
-
But someday
-
evening
-
Many many years from now
-
When you least expect it
-
That was fun...again.
-
I'll finally go to the Post office
-
Finished with my viewing. It only took me twenty-five years, but I finally watched something called Pulp Fiction.
I still haven't seen it.
I've seen it
-
Last night was an accident. Tonight by choice.
-
Repeatedly
-
Probably more than 20 times
-
I wonder where our pacific time friends are
I'm here.
-
I can't stand it
-
Tonight, I went to Panda Express for dinner where I got my usual Kung Pow Chicken and Black Pepoer Chicken.
-
Hard to outsmart spellcheck and have a small “E” in evening.
-
I've been watching some TV and some segments of Rachel Maddow and Chris Hayes on-line.
-
But everytime it's on cable Vixdad watches it
-
Hi, Vixmom and Tom.
-
And the house isn't all that big
-
And the TV is in the sitting room
-
Where I sit
-
Dang, vixmom, we need you here every night.
-
Goodness page six
-
Hello Tom
-
I bought you a little something in Florida
Thanks, so much! :-*
-
Dang, vixmom, we need you here every night.
It's nice to be needed
-
Very nice to see you here, my dear.
-
How are you feeling TCB?
-
But I am very very bad at mailing things
As am I. ::) I still have to send you and John DVDs of RENT LIVE!
-
I mean, I see you here all the time, but not at the same time as me. LIVE!
-
I bought you a little something in Florida
As am I. ::) I still have to send you and John DVDs of RENT LIVE!
Gee, I am glad I missed that!!

Vixdad has been watching American gods , have either of you seen that?
-
There was a quite extensive scene where two fellas hooked up
-
Vixdad has been watching American gods , have either of you seen that?
Nope. Not I.
-
With full frontal exposure
-
Vixdad has been watching American gods , have either of you seen that?
I've seen a commercial for it but haven't seen it. It looks good.
-
And it got me wondering, was it real or a prosthetic or do they use body doubles
-
But I must say, it was impressive
-
With full frontal exposure
:D
-
Dang
-
I really loosen up in the wee hours of the morning
-
And it got me wondering, was it real or a prosthetic or do they use body doubles
In the HBO show Rome, there was at least one full frontal moment that I'd read was definitely a prosthetic.
-
I should get me to bed before I get into real trouble
-
And it got me wondering, was it real or a prosthetic or do they use body doubles

I have not seen Rome
-
Is it any good?
-
Other then the eye candy aspect
-
I mean, I see you here all the time, but not at the same time as me. LIVE!
And in person!
-
Is it any good?
I haven't seen it, either...just a picture years ago. ;)
-
PAGE SEVEN DANCE!!
-
I won't dance
-
Don't ask me
-
Ok I am taking myself to bed
-
The alarm goes off in 4 hours and 14 minutes
-
Good night boys
-
Sweet dreams
-
Good night, Vixmom. Sleep well...and just get some sleep!!
-
Good night, vixmom.
-
Wow! Page 7!!
-
Wow! Page 7!!
I know, right? ;D
-
Tom...
-
...let's...
-
...see...
-
...if...
-
...we...
-
...can...
-
...make...
-
...it to...
-
Gratuitous Post #200!
-
:D
-
And you made it.
-
But now...
-
Should we try for something else?
-
We are getting close to it.
-
And no award shows to help.
-
Can we do it?
-
Come on, George.
-
Almost there.
-
Page 8
-
Now it is time to sign off for the night.
-
Goodnight, George.
