Well, you've read the notes, the notes were well done, and now it is time for you to post until the well done cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: FACETIAE!
-
Great pictures in the notes, BK!
-
Well, I need to go to sleep.
Have a good day, all!

Jimmy-Joe went to a pet shop and asked how many budgies were in stock.
"We have 99," replied the shop owner.
"Give us the lot," said the Jimmy-Joe, paid for them and left. He went to a tailors shop and had 99 pockets sewn into a jacket, put a budgie in each pocket, went up to the Post Office Tower and jumped off.
He hit the ground with an almighty smack and lay there groaning until a passer-by came and asked him what had happened.
"I don't know sir," he replied, "but that's the last time I try that budgie jumping."
-
That is my small contribution to the word if the day
-
Good morning, all.

We continue our slow climb out of winter’s grip. Low 40s today, low 50s tomorrow, high 50s on Friday. By then our snow should be mostly gone. This would be (mostly) the eight inches we got almost a week and a half ago.
-
At some point today I have to run out for a few supplies, but for the most part it’s a work-on-music kind of day. And then I’ll try to watch something good this evening. Such evenings are still too few and far between.
-
Happy Hump Day, everyone.
-
I am seeking two voice actors:
One to play Dick Powell in the audio edition of my one- person play, DICK POWELL, and
One to play Clifton Webb in the audio edition of my one-person play, CLIFTON WEBB.
Powell is in his 40s. Webb is in his 70s.
Both plays, with notes, can be found on the ACX website.
Both productions are Royalty Share.
If you know somebody who might be interested and RIGHT for one of these roles, please pass this information on.
Thank you.

Good morning, all.
-
Great photos in the notes. Any chance of a cast recording, BK? Those of us with an abject lack of love for the orange one would enjoy it.
-
Good morning, all!
-
I fed the cats and went back to bed for two hours. I dreamed we were rehearsing "Moonshine and Mistletoe" but that morphed into a rehearsal of "Babes In Toyland" with a really bad choreographer overstaging everything.

4:26 in the am
Once again that is the same time I woke up.
-
I have no plans for today beyond this operetta medley.
-
DR Jeanne, I think you should write off your credit card charge as a charitable deduction.
-
Rainy here. Good for the garden.
-
Got a weird one to watch today. Katharine Hepburn in Dragon Seed. She’s Chinese.
-
Good morning.
-
A third day of rain here. We are loving it.
-
The Liza clip was nice.....but I do just about that same dance every time I try to put on a pair of suspenders.
-
I love the photos from the cabaret in the notes....it looks like MUCH FUN!
-
My question for ASK BK DAY:
In the old neighborhood, you lived across the street from the ANNETTE HOUSE, and down the street from the DAUGHTER OF ANNETTE.
In addition to your good self, are there any celebrities and adjacent celebrities in your new neighborhood?
-
Annabelle was not happy I slept in this morning. From the time I got dressed to the time I cleaned the litter and we made our patrol, she climbed all over me and the computer, then she started grabbing my thigh with her claws, and then she lay on the floor and kept grabbing my ankles with her claws. She enjoyed the patrol enormously and now she's sleeping in her bathroom washtub.
-
I'm up, I'm up, I guess - wasn't intending to get up till eleven but the phone rang.
-
Jrand, right down the street from us was Ted someone - Shackleford, I think, and then two blocks over and a block north was Earl Holliman - who I saw at Nick's memorial.
-
Earl Holliman! He and Angie Dickinson are hilarious on their commentaries on a couple of POLICE WOMAN episodes!
'Earl, look at the jacket you're wearing there.'
'I know, Angie, I know. I have it on today!'

That might be the same jacket!
-
Back from a fun lunch meeting - had a chili, cheese, and onion omelet and some fries.
-
Softcovers arrived today and naturally they went to the wrong printers, which means the hardcovers will have, too - these were my test copies - the front cover is a matte finish when it should be glossy, and the dark gray of the half title and chapter titles is way too light. Same prob as last year - but unfortunately my gal has been out sick and the guy who put this through didn't understand what I told him, obviously, and routed it to the bad printing house. So, new order is in plus my real order and they'll all be here next week and we can get everyone their books and I'll have them for my signing
-
Alfred Knopf they ain't.
-
Before I moved to San Antonio, Earl Holliman ran a dinner theater here. He was said to be really nice.
-
I think I've shared that before.
-
Watching that great Asian actress Katharine Hepburn in Dragon Seed. I don't think there's an actual Asian person in the entire movie. It's melodramatic and very Pearl S. Buck, but not as good (so far) as "The Good Earth."
-
Shorts weather again today. But the temperatures are getting lower in the weekend.

I wonder if she studied with that great Asian actor Marlon Brando of Teahouse of the August Moon.
-
Jrand, how is Birdy Barnum today?
-
Hugh Jackman is going to do The Music Man on Broadway. That sounds like fun.

We had a very nice morning hike. After the hike a number of us went to a coffee place that opened after we moved away. I wish it had opened before we moved.
-
Later Keith and I walked arou d the outside of Lithia Park. We ran into someone I knew and chatted for a bit. We then walkec the towns checking out stores we missed yesterday. We found a new store that we recognised ax it used to be in Jacksonville. The owners said they are doing more business in Ashland.
-
We went to the bread bakery and purshased a couple of loaves to take home .
-
On the way back to the hotel we stopped and played with a beautiful Bernese Mountain Dog puppy. Since I carry dog treats with me Keith gave her some 😊

I wonder if Kevin Spirtas will be his understudy again, and never get to go on again.

Page two? Really?
-
Just finished my taxes.
-
I'm due to get maybe 60% of what I got back last year.
-
Not happy. Most of that money will go into car maintenance I would assume.
-
Now watching Let's Spend the Night Together, Hal Ashby's film of the Stones in concert.
-
Jagger is fascinating to watch.
-
Laundry is in the dryer.
-
I have accomplished two things besides work today.
-
Let's move on ...
-
Three!
-
Page three? Really?
-
Hello, 0 guests!
-
Tomorrow is Pi Day. I need to run out and get a cherry pie for work.
-

You're not alone in that. :-\

Tomorrow is Pi Day. I need to run out and get a cherry pie for work.
I was thinking about doing that, too!
-
don't forget the greatest asian actor of all, john wayne in the conqueror!
-
Mickey Rooney!
-
The fifth episode of Vanity Fair down and the sixth to go! This 1998 miniseries is really fun, although the music is positively dreadful. The BBC has just released a new miniseries I am curious to see, but I think it will be hard to beat this one.
-

I picked up blueberry instead.

I haven't had a blueberry pie in a while. That sounds good. :)

Watching a noir now called The File on Thelma Jordon. It has a great score from Victor Young.
-
But I don't know what I'll get. We'll see. And on that note (B-natural), I'm outta here!
Be back later!
-

Or Emma Stone as the Chinese/Hawaiian woman in "Aloha."

Oh it was.

Making a helper change again - this guy has been a disaster every step of the way but worst of all he keeps telling me he sends me e-mails and I keep telling him I don't get them and he does not LEARN from this. He is now telling me he gave me two weeks notice two weeks ago! No. Never got such a thing, but the stupidity is - would I not respond??? And since I've brought this up a million times, these phantom e-mails, if I didn't respond would not a reasonable person MENTION it???
Luckily, I was ready to fire him two months ago and I found someone to do that, but we had a talk and I thought came to an understanding, but apparently not. I am FURIOUS. But I just talked to the new helper, who, ironically, is my original helper from 2006. But he think he's through as of Sunday and I think he is NOT through and that he will do the next release that's coming in that day and walk her through it and then she leaves town for a week and when she's back he has to train her. Otherwise, I can't ship anything for a week and that cannot happen. Of course, you can't get the guy to actually respond to any e-mails or texts or phone messages - but I told him he had to call tonight.
-

Sorry.
-
HELPER VIBES FOR BRUCE!
-
I have finished my Faulkner novel, Knight's Gambit.
-
Time for bed.
-
Good night, all.
-
We had a nice dinner with friends tonight.

HELPER VIBES FOR BRUCE!
~~~SUPER DITTO!!~~~
-
He told me he forwarded me the resignation e-mail at the beginning of the week - he did forward two e-mails neither of which had anything about such a thing and I forwarded those e-mails back to him. He now says he forwarded a third e-mail - I keep telling him, and you'd think this would be VERY obvious, that had I received such a thing how would I not have responded instantly. That seems like simple logic to me, but what do I know. Anyway, he'll call tomorrow and we'll hash out a timeline. I think he'll give me two more weeks since after Monday there really won't be much to do anyway, then when the new helper gets back from her trip they can spend a few hours and that will be that - she'll be with him on Monday and can pretty much see how everything works.
-
Good evening.
-
Six hours later, and we are still on page 3?
-
Where the Hell is everyone today?
-
I blame WFO! Only because Jose hasn’t been around.
We will see how I feel.
-
I watched THE WORLD’S BEST tonight, or whatever it is called.
-
I have tickets for A LITTLE NIGHT MUSIC on Saturday night.
-
I have heard mixed reactions to the production.
-
I love the show.
-
I saw a fantastic production a couple years ago at Second Story Rep.
-
The same theater where I enjoyed seeing THE LAST STARFIGHTER last year.
-
I am still not sure about seeing ANGELS IN AMERICA this weekend.
-
why are you unsure about Angels in America?
-
I don’t think I can sit for almost 7 1/2 hours of theater.
-
Well!
-
I am not getting very far.
-
He seems to move better when I give it to him.
-
-
But I am not sure he likes the feeling.
-
can i ask you personal question? you can tell me mind my own business if you want with no offense taken
Go right ahead.
-
how did you end up in the chair?
-
Well, about seven years ago, I developed a massive cyst on my spine. The doctors couldn’t see it on the x-rays or the MRI’s because a cyst is all liquid.
-
By the time a surgeon operated on me and ended up removing the cyst, it had killed off all the nerves around it.
-
I really should come up with a more exciting story.
-
no, that's just weird enough! poor baby. i thought my spinal stenosis was bad but so far i'm still on my feet (most of the time).
-
I was riding with James Dean in his Porsche, but I managed to survive the accident.
-
lol. so, when we go dancing, we'll need lots of floor space and get creative.
-
Well, I have a spinal stenosis, also, and that was what the surgeon thought he was going to try and fix.
-
I went through several surgeons before I found one who would operate.
-
One guy told me I was crazy, and it was all in my mind.
