Well, you've read the notes, the notes celebrated 100,000 postings, and now it is time for you to post until the 100,000 cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: MILESTONE!
-
First post after BK.
-
Congratulations to BK on your incredible milestone.
-
Gee, I am only about 18,000 posts behind BK.
-
So, probably next week for me.
-
Good night all!
-
Congrats to BK for his HHW record-setting posting total!! :D
-
Both Margo and I really enjoyed Rocketman!
-
I think I liked it more than Bohemian Rhapsody.
-
Rocketman is pretty much a jukebox movie musical about the life of Elton John up to his song, "I'm Still Standing."
-
It got an 89% on Rotten Tomatoes. (https://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/rocketman_2019)

Tonight, Harlequin Productions is having their annual volunteer appreciation night and final dress rehearsal for their production of Man of La Mancha (https://harlequinproductions.org/show/man-of-la-mancha/). I've been in two different productions (one time as Sancho Panza!), so I'm really looking forward to this. I'll definitely usher for it during the run. ;D

Well, well, well (that is three wells) - our little stalker is at it again. She just left a bad review of Murder at the Magic Castle under the name "Sally Boyne." Here's the review:
"Sally Boyne
2.0 out of 5 starsThank goodness for sample chapters
April 28, 2019
Format: Kindle Edition
I visited the Magic Castle many years ago and thought it would be fun to read a mystery taking place there. But after two chapters of this, I was pretty disappointed. The description of the gorgeous, castle-like exterior of the Magic Castle was disappointing - there was none. "There it was, looming up against the night sky." End of description. Literally. The interior descriptions weren't much better - no sense of atmosphere. No sense of being inside the Magic Castle! I wasn't compelled to read further to find out the mystery, either. The writing is simplistic - the book is for kids after all - but I found the character's, and the author's, constant repetition of phrases annoying. It seemed to try very hard to come across as clever. It doesn't succeed."
When I read it several things seemed obvious. a) who reviews a book based on a sample chapter? b) her criticism of the repeated phrases in the writing - she used that when doing her dirty business on another book of mine - that review was taken down. So, I suspected it was her. But this is how incredibly stupid this woman is - I went back and looked at the one bad review for There's Mel, There's Woody, and There's You - the essence of the bad review was the reviewer didn't like the way I portrayed my ex-wife. I knew it was the stalker and I left a comment to that effect. She replied to it immediately - that reply, however, was not under the bogus name she'd used on the review. No it was yet another name - now, wait for it - Sally Boyne. Yikes. Feel free to visit the Amazon page and comment on her review. And then click on the Abuse button - that will get it removed. Unbelievable. Dear stalker, if you're reading this, which we know you are, do you know how easy it would be for me and others here to go on Amazon and leave shitty reviews for the books you write under the name Caroline Miniscule? Really, really easy. Like REALLY easy. The biggest favor you could do yourself right about now is remove your bogus review. Otherwise, tomorrow I call Amazon.
-
That's pretty darned crappy!
-
Well, I need to get to sleep.
Have a good day, all!
-
Good morning, all!
-
I had expected to arrive at City Center around 10, but I got up to an email from Joshie asking me to come in around 11. I could have gone back to bed after feeding the babies!
-
Ah, well . . .
-
After two days on the azithromycin, Annabelle shows signs of recovery. She ate all of her morning salmon, she looks happier, and she's back to my lap and bed. Stella's attraction to water makes me think she is part duck. She has also discovered that Daddy's bed is a nice place to curl up and sleep, so at various times of the night I can wake up and find two of my three cats taking up most of my bed. I had Annabelle and Stella with me when I turned out the lights, but when I got up around 3:00 for my bathroom break, Annabelle was in the cat tree and Thatch and Stella were with me.
-
Time to clean the litter. We'll see if Annabelle's up for patrol this morning.
-
Annabelle and I made our patrol. She saw our pretty little neighbor on five and got petted and praised, so she's happy. Poor little Thatch, when we came back into the apartment, tried to check out the hall and got his neck caught in the closing door. He won't let me near him, so I hope there's no injury.
-
Good morning!
-
Congratulations, BK, on your 100,000 posts!
-
Congratulations to BK on achieving 100,000 posts
-
Must get ready for work
-
Another grey rainy day
-
Good morning, all.
-
Yes, another rainy (off and on, I guess) and dreary day.
-
I'm so glad BK got his screen shots okay. I was out like a light early last night.
-
Congratulations to BK on your incredible milestone.
Ditto!
-
I'm off to City Center.
-
I will raise a glass to MR BK and his millstone 100,000 + posts.
-
Well, you've read the notes, the notes celebrated 100,000 postings, and now it is time for you to post until the 100,000 cows come home.
And a great way to end the evening. Congratulation.
-
hmmmmm the heat pump does not seem to be working this morning - it won't start up......well a day and half....maybe it's tired.
-
I am pleased Annabelle is feeling much better.
-
Bruce before I fell asleep last night I had meant to ask if the stalker had left your Wikipedia article alone. Now here she is bothering you again in a different way >:(
-
I'm up, I'm up - six hours of sleep and now I shall be on my way to get an eye exam and new glasses. It's probably been a decade since I last got glasses and I cannot see at all with them.
-
Wikipedia is fine for the moment.
-

Good vibes you don't have an other eye issues.
-
Back from Lenscrafters and eye exam. Fascinating. My eyes are, according to my nice doctor, in excellent shape. Interestingly, a decade ago my right eye was almost 20/20 and my left eye was pretty blurry. A decade later that has reversed - left eye is almost 20/20 and right eye is a little blurry. Not a strong prescription, though. I found a frame I liked right away but with lenses it was going to be over 300 bucks and I just don't care enough to spend that kind of dough. So, I found a similar pair from their cheap section where the frames AND lenses are 99 bucks and got those and surprisingly they'll be ready by two today.
Now I shall be on my way to try and do what I hope will work - please send excellent vibes and xylophones.
-
I added a comment to the MC review and reported it as abuse.....we shall see what happens.
-
Congrats to MR BK on his new specs!
-
My question for ASK BK DAY:
Did Social Security ever get you straightened out?
-
Hello, everyone.
-
Congrats to BK! I raised a piece of toast in your honor this morning.
-
Not a bad day at City Center. I brought some work home with me.
-

I'm amazed you were able to get this done so cheaply and so quickly. I think that Warby Parker and other online retailers have made quite an impact. I hope they work out well for you.

BK straightened out? I don't think so. I don't think ANYONE could do that!
-
Must tend to laundry.
TTFN.
-
Bruce congratulations on having healthy eyes and a low priced fix.
-
Bruce were your eyes dilated? You didn't complain about that.
-
No, they didn't need to dilate.
-
What I was hoping to do today will have to wait until Friday.
-
Glasses are ready so I'll go pick them up.
-
I may get a separate pair for close reading and stuff.
-
The official CD release of the original cast recording of Philemon (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07QWNR7FH/) by Tom Jones and Harvey Schmidt has arrived! I just listened to it and it sounds great!

New specs.
Flooding and MORE rain.....thunderstorms.....mostly south of us....hopefully not between me and the theatre.....and vice versa.

Thanks, DR George! He seems to be okay. Annabelle ate both her breakfast and dinner today, so I am quite happy.

Page 3 Dance!

Wednesday evening greetings from Cumberland, Maryland! We had a smooth 8-hour trip, with a nice lunch stop in Cambridge, Ohio, and now we’re 2/3 of the way to Washington. We’re aiming to get there early enough tomorrow to scope out getting to the convention center by Metro and to get all registered for ALA.
-
Listening to music.
-
So, the other night I searched YouTube for Nudie Musical, which I apparently hadn't done in a long time because someone had posted the entire film (from the old DVD) and it had around 150,000 views. I contacted YouTube and had it pulled down. I must say, they complied in about two hours.
-
Page three? Really?
-
I had a vision of page four.
-
And yet, we're on page three.
-
I finished my work for Joshie with all three cats jumping onto my desk to proofread, correct, and criticize. Everyone's a critic.
-
Well, I must be off to the theater...yet, again. ;) Tonight's the final dress for Man of La Mancha.
Be back later!
-
No, they didn't need to dilate.
Hmmm. Then they probably didn't look for potential problems such as cataracts, or whatever they look for when then dilate your eyes.
-

Easy traveling the rest of the way and have a wonderful time.

It sounds like Thatch is feeling ok.
-
Three people out tonight......three people.....all with BIG parts......
-
Actually, they did all sorts of things and that included ascertaining no cataracts or anything else. She would have dilated if she'd thought it was necessary.
-
Good evening, all.
-
Congratulations on the milestone, BK.
-
Work from the resort was hard today because I wanted to be doing anything else instead.
-
I did finish the very fun murder mystery, Death in the Dark, by Stacey Bishop (aka George Antheil).
-
Where is everyone today?
-
I was at the pool today and ran into a chef friend. Strange knowing someone so far from home. He was asked out here to talk about plans for a restaurant at the resort.
-
No lamb chops tonight. We went out for a steak dinner.
-
I didn’t feel like cooking after work.
-
I’ve got five other books with me that I have started and need to finish. Which will i choose?
-
Autumn Quartet from Barbara Pym is very short and the likeliest candidate.
-
But there’s also a Balzac I’ve read the first 50 pages of. There’s Les Liaisons Dangereuses, which I keep telling myself I’ll finish and never do. And there’s a Zola novel I started with a Facebook group, only to stop it when I stopped Facebook.
-
All that 19th century French fiction.
-
I’ve also got a Proust that’s his only writing not part of In Search of Lost Time.
-
Let’s move on...
-
Four!
-
And on to bed with a book.
-
Good night, all.
-
Actually, they did all sorts of things and that included ascertaining no cataracts or anything else. She would have dilated if she'd thought it was necessary.
Good. Some places skip the tests along with not dilating which is why I was concerned.
-
Where is everybody indeed. Certainly elsewhere.
-
Listening to the music of Andrzej Panufnik, which, if you say it in just the right way, sounds like you're sneezing. I'd heard a couple of pieces by him and was interested to hear more so I got an inexpensive box set of his orchestral works. It's not instantly lovable, but he does have quite a unique musical voice and it's certainly interesting and enjoyable and I'm also certain that repeated listenings will help.
-
Where is everyone?
-
My morning begins early tomorrow, not that I normally sleep in
-
I just hope I sleep all night and don't get a headache.
-
'night
-
Panufnik! Gesundheit.
-
I do not comprehend page four, oh, no, I do not comprehend page four.
-
How can it be ten-thirty already?
-
To shower or not to shower, that is the question.
-
I gotta tell you.
-
I am not understanding this page four malarky.
-
Panufnik - very interesting music. I've read reviews that call it Romantic and tonal, and I suppose on some level some of it is, but it's not Rachmaninov. It is, however, very Polish.
-
How can we still be on page four? It just isn't done.
-
At this rate, I may achieve a new milestone tonight - only 99,000 post to go. Puuuuuush.
-
Good evening.
-
Page 4? Still?
-
Today is/was my sister’s birthday.
-
No matter how old I get, she will always be older.
-
Of course, no matter how old George gets, I will always be older.
-
Ah yes, the circle of life!
-
I hope that George enjoyed THE MAN OF LAMANCHA tonight.
-
I like that show, but I would hardly call it a favorite.
-
My friend, Micheal, Sharry’s husband, has played the title character three or four times.
-
He is wonderful in the role.
-
One more post.
-
Page 5
-
We made it to page 5.
-
Not very good.
-
Greetings, 1 Guest!
-
What is your favorite type of cake?
-
I forgot to send George that photo of my over-stuffed living room.
-
Oh well, tomorrow is another day.
-
Thursday it is!
-
So, today must be Hump Day.
-
Hi, Tom.
-
Well, I must be off to the theater...yet, again. ;) Tonight's the final dress for Man of La Mancha.
Be back later!
I'm home. Yes, it was a rehearsal for the show.
-
I hope that George enjoyed THE MAN OF LAMANCHA tonight.
I liked it, but will reserve final judgment until I see it again. ::)
-
Hi, George.
-
Was it not ready for prime time?
-
Page five. Pish-tosh.
-
Tosh-pish.
-
Listening to a new master for our next release - beautiful.
