Why did I bother to text George back at 4:30, if he wasn’t going to pass on that I was fine?
I shall post a picture of HAL when I get some uploaded.
Back in the day, not only did I write a book, ONCE UPON A TIME IN HOLLYWOOD, but my son, David, and I also wrote a song.

The nice thing is, he doesn't look like a recent high school grad!
Has anyone here tried that new ( well at least I'm just hearing about it) keto diet?
After feeding the cats, I set the alarm for 7:45. The next thing I knew, it was 8:45. I slept quite poorly last night, but Annabelle and Thatch stayed with me through the night. Stella prefers to sleep on the throw rug next to the bed. As a consequence, I too often step on her when I get up. I worry about injuring her.
DR George, what kind of DVD burner(s) do you have?
Mine is just the drive that came in this six-year-old HP laptop. I still plan to pick up an external Blu-ray burner one of these days.

I honestly have no idea if my book had anything to do with it, but a month or two ago, Tarantino's movie title was changed from ONCE UPON A TIME IN HOLLYWOOD to ONCE UPON A TIME IN...HOLLYWOOD.
Back from taking the fix list and a book to the audio place. Got there fine, but on the way back the car began to make some funny noises - after laughing - I got worried, but it stopped after about two minutes.

BK mentioned my audio proof of GEE. It was really a lot of fun to listen to. Diana Canova did a wonderful job, finding more humor in the book than I remembered and letting its heart shine. I really think listeners will enjoy it.
Car vibes for MR BK.
I do not think my car has a dipstick - except behind the wheel.
I put on my Milk Bone underwear today and the dogs are yapping.

So sorry to hear your news, John G. Yes, cancer sucks. So does most treatment for it.

Had some bad news earlier this evening. My friend Jan died shortly after 8 p.m. from ovarian cancer. I'm really bummed.
I passed the word on to friends in upstate New York, and it turns out that Betsy had brought in hospice earlier today for her father. He had been misdiagnosed for years and they finally discovered that the cause of his ongoing pain is spinal cancer.
Jane, did you ever try ChocZero, the sugar-free chocolate bars that DR George first mentioned here on HHW? I quite like them. They're not as sweet as some chocolate, but I like that; some chocolate is too sweet for me. I find that when I eat less sugar I also want less.
It was a very weird day. I went running around like crazy at work. Squeezed in an acupuncture treatment about my allergies. Ran back to work. Got in a handful of other frustrating meetings. Then I had my quarterly evaluation, which I was not looking forward to. Not because I had done nothing wrong, but rumors of the opposite. It turned out that, as I had been led to believe, all of my coworkers were so effulgent in their praise that my boss basically said their were worthless because no one offered any suggestion for growth or improvement. I don't take praise well and I study criticism, so I had to agree, even though their comments were awfully nice and I do appreciate their being nice.
I went out for a veggie burger at lunchtime. Last week when I was there my order, a take-out order, was incorrect and I didn't discover it until I got home. I mentioned it today and the manager gave me today's meal free. Like Jane's Beaches restaurant, this one makes few mistakes and is very good about it when they do. That's one of the reasons why I'm a regular.
The MISS FISHER movie was scheduled to be released this year. I haven't heard anything about whether that's still the case. Anyone know? A web search didn't include an update.

Then I felt guilty about the pie, so I did a walk - a brisk four mile-plus walk. By mile three I thought I was going to pass out. From Woodman to Laurel Canyon and back, plus back and forth from Ventura Blvd. to my house. My feet are killing me. Perhaps someday I'll return the favor and kill my feet.

Where is it written that improvement is ALWAYS needed?? Why can't someone reach a high level of competence and leave it at that?

What shoes did you wear? I wear good running shoes when I walk which makes the pain tolerable.

I never saw it for sale and didn't want to order it on line. I have been buying the Ghiradeli 60% cacao chips. With the darker chips I am able to control myself and be satisfied eating less candy. Baby steps while I reduce my sugar, unless my glucose levels go up instead of down.

DR TCB when you order groceries delivered do they automatically substitute a product if they are out of it? I had read that happens & you are required to accept it.

Mark had cancer and we all pretty much knew he wasn’t going to make it, but this was a total shock. He died from a reaction to the chemo he was taking. It is thought that it was probably his heart.
