Well, you've read the notes, the notes returned, and now it is time for you to post until the returning cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: POLYDIPSIA!
-
First post after BK.

Second post after BK.

I would go to WHAT IF to see Robert Yacko, but I would stay to see Daniel Bellusci!

Ditto and DITTO!! ;)

SHAKESPEARE IN LOVE was okay, but not really my cup of tea. The cast was mostly very very good.
-
Unfortunately, the person I enjoyed least in the production was Victoria, who played Viola
-
She was not terrible by any means, but I just didn’t buy her in the role. I thought she was best when she was Viola playing a boy that was going to play Romeo.

Interesting.

The woman who played The Queen played Wendy to my Captain Hook about a hundred years ago.

Cool.

I saw on their website (https://tacomaartslive.org/events/calendar/eventdetail/1435/-/shakespeare-in-love) that they're going to have a "Talk back with Director and Actors on November 3 following the 3:00 p.m. show." I think I might go that day and say hi to Rodman.
-
He was very charming when I spoke with him after the show.
-
Both Tracy and I were both shocked at how small he was off stage. He looked much bigger onstage as Shakepeare.
-
Isn’t that strange?
-
Well, I thought it was strange!
-
Good night and good day.
-

It's called ACTING! :D
-

He's an absolute sweetheart.
-
Today is my family's weekly dinner. I bought a refrigerated pizza dough at Fred Meyer. I already have cheese, pizza sauce and pepperoni. I'll bring that and bake it at my parents' house. I'm sure that my dad will like that.
-
And now, it's bed time.
Have a good day, all!
-
Good morning, all!
-
I had planned to meet DR Kevin and his friend Paul around noon, but I canceled. I need to finish this overture ASAP, turn it in, and get paid. I've got Time Warner, Con Edison, and others sending mail pestering me about payment. Om top of that, I don't know if I've got a cold or another bout of sinusitis because of these polyps, and I must do laundry today since I have run out of clean handkerchiefs. Don't ask.
-
DR vixmom, where was this Cyrano production? I love the play, but I also love Michael Lewis' musical version with Christopher Plummer and my close personal friend Leigh Beery aka Mrs. jonathan Tunick.
-
DR Laura, you got the cat! I've knonw you wanted a calico, so Im very happy. Tell us more.
-
DR Jane, I know all about male cat's and their marking territory. To my mother's dismay, our male cat Fred was a real problem in the 1950s. That may be the reason he and Ethel ended up as barn cats on my Aunt Lois' farm in Columbus, OH. After that, my next cat was the Siamese Ming.
-
DR JohnG, what a nice photo!
-
As soon as I clean the dishes and litter, I will throw together some laundry, and then settle in with this overture. I have a fugue to score and then I must rewrite - third time! - the coda. It's alm,ost there, but it's still not right.
-
This should take us to page 2.
-
Page 2 Dance!
-
The laundry is in the washers, and the cats taken care of. Next, make the bed and write a new ending to this overture.
-
Good morning, all.
-
I wish I could go back to sleep.
-
I wish I could go back to sleep.
Pity. I wish I could sleep.
-
Nice photo of DR JOHN & Kristy....and a lovely photo of Magdalena.
-
Remember DR JOHN as I tell my casts when I have to make changes in choreography.....they are NOT changes they are IMPROVEMENTS!
-
I enjoyed reading about WHAT IF then and now....
-
The laundry is finished, and now I must look - again -for the table grip that holds my work lamp. It wasn't the cats this time. It was my error. Damn!
-
Sunday morning greetings! After 4 days of driving to attend a day and a half of meetings, Richard opted to sleep in today. I got up a little after 7, but it's been a slow morning.
-
Remember DR JOHN as I tell my casts when I have to make changes in choreography.....they are NOT changes they are IMPROVEMENTS!
Right. (Insert smart-aleck face here.)
-
Good morning.
-
Last week one of Sandra's coworkers said she had a kitten she needed to "get rid of." She showed Sandra a photo, and Sandra said "Oh, how cute!" The coworker said she'd drop her off on Saturday.
-
I always wanted a calico. Sandra got my kitten. :-(
-

Yes, but Leonard chose you.

I am proud to say we never got rid of a cat that marked though it was pretty horrible, especially when more than one cat did it.
-
After an hour's search, that also included cleaning up a lot of dust bunnies and bringing up the laundry, the missing piece was found and my work table and lamp are happy. I'm tired.
-
I wrote the new ending, so the overture is now frozen.
-
I wish I could go back to sleep.
Me too. I have been awake since 4:00.
-
Aand I slept restlessly prior to that.
-
I always wanted a calico. Sandra got my kitten. :-(
Won't she share?
-
I wrote the new ending, so the overture is now frozen.
Congrats. Vibes the check is not delayed.
-
Yes, of course she will share.
-
Asha was staring at her like she was an alien.
-
The woman who had her was given until last night to find her a new home by the landlord. She didn't have a choice. The mother cat was pregnant and left behind in an apartment. The woman raised all the kittens and got them and the mother adopted out.

Good for the woman.

Ushering today for the San Antonio Ballet's production of Alice in Wonderland. Hope it's entertaining. So many versions of Alice aren't.
-
Then it's out to dinner with a friend.
-
Let's move on ...
-
Three!
-
We have brunch plans so we can deliver the gifts we purchased on Diagon Alley AKA Shambles Street, York England.
-
Remember DR JOHN as I tell my casts when I have to make changes in choreography.....they are NOT changes they are IMPROVEMENTS!
We worked with a wonderful director who never told us in front of a cast "this number is too long". or 'This exposition is too much detail" - but the code was "You know, this is really good, but it would be great if we could make it a little shorter and leave them wanting more."
-
Have we mentioned the line from TOOTSIE where the rather sexist director within the show takes an actress rather roughly and says "I'm not touching you. I'm moving you."
-
That's TOOTSIE the 2019 Broadway musical, not the 1980s movie.
-
I was startled to hear the music from the song "Come On Eileen" in an ad for an Irish vacation.
-
Taking a break. This fugue is endless, and keeping track of the individual lines is working my last nerve. Stella has been picked up and moved off the table around five times now and she refuses to take the hint. After I finish the fugue - about 16 more bars of it - the rest of the overture is easy now that I've revised the coda.
-
The song isn't all that wholesome, right?
This was the number.

I like that person's thoughts on it; they're pretty funny but respectful.
-

This is playing down on East 15th Street atthe Daryl Roth theatre
-
I'm up, I'm up - a little over eight hours of sleep.
-
Just finished the fugue. It seemed endless, but I think it will be rousing. I've got 32 more bars to orchestrate and it's finished. I figure I'll finish it by tomorrow afternoon.
-
The Endless Fugue is the title of the final volume of my memoirs.
-
There are at least TEN screaming children across the street from my house "playing."
-
DR FJL that reminds me of a story about Frances Bavier...who played Aunt Bee.
-
That's Entertainment is coming on.....

Felt like having pizza, and decided that rather than Pizza Wagon, the nearby jernt I really like, I'd try another nearby jernt called Marco's, which I gather is a franchise but which has gotten some good Yelp love (and bad - live every pizza jernt listed there - reviews by idiots). So, I drove over there (in the same strip mall as K's Donuts, only to find out they don't do slices. Fail. You'd think ONE of the Yelp reviews would actually mention that - well, one is about to, that much I can tell you. Then I was going to just go to Pizza Wagon, but the street was completely closed off for a stupid street fair, so that was out.
-
I then drove to another nearby pizza jernt called Leaning Tower of Pizza - good and bad on Yelp - no slices. Yet no one mentions it. So, I drove to Joe Peep's, mere blocks from my late 1970s house - been there forever - got three slices of pepperoni to go and came home. I've eaten two of them and they're not that good, really. Too much garlic in the sauce - in my pizza book garlic has no place in the sauce. So, back to Pizza Wagon next time, or I'll just go to Dino's and get the best.

It seems to me few places sell slices so maybe it isn't expected anymore. It is a shame.
-
Bruce which pizza place did you order from when you didn't have a car? I recall you liked that pizza.
-
Yes, that was Pizza Wagon - I've been going there once a week and would have gone today were it not for the street fair thing.
-
Get me off this damn page.

Do they have small pizzas? That would probably be the same as 3 slices.
-
Jennifer, I was just about to ask the same question.
-
The online menu at Marco's doesn't show any size options.
-
Marco's had a small - but it was six slices.
-
Joe Peep's says their small is 6 slices.
-
Yes, but they had slices - I got three - and I think I should not have eaten the third as I'm feeling a little gross right about now.
-
The cats and I are closing shop and getting ready for bed.
-
Hello, everyone.
-
Very nice photo of DR John G and Krista.
-
Welcome to DK Magdalena!
We don't give out togas anymore, but we'll enjoy looking at your picture and hearing all about you.
-
That was quite a story in the Notes. vibes the new What If is also a big success!
-
I'm about to rewatch THE GOOD FIGHT. Paul Guilfoyle is so good as the Bernie Madoff-type character.
-
BTW, we're having a heat wave. It's hot here and must be VERY hot at BK's.
-
TTFN.
-
Yes, but they had slices - I got three - and I think I should not have eaten the third as I'm feeling a little gross right about now.
Do you normally get two or three slices?
-

Thanks for reminding me.
Ditto on everything you said.
-

I just looked up your weather. I wish I could send you some of our rain and lower temps.

Congrats. Vibes the check is not delayed.
~~~SUPER DITTO!!~~~
-
And now, since we're so close...
-
Post #100!!
-
:D
-
I'm home again, home again.
-
Watching Morocco with a very young Marlene and Cary Cooper. It's been close to 50 years since I've seen this movie. I'm surprised I remember scenes from it.
-
Alice in Wonderland was strange, with some of it very interesting. The music was from a host of composers, including Bartok, Prokofiev and Weill. The Cheshire Cat looked sort of like Jack from Nightmare Before Christmas. She removed her mask and it went floating upward along with several others floating above the stage.
-
Then went to dinner with a friend who is mourning the loss of her mother. Gail's mother was born one day after my mom, and she had been sick for a long time. It helped to have a good bottle of wine, some fine food and a new view to help her deal with it.
-
I get three slices, which is under 1000 calories.
-
Finished with my viewing and my viewing is certainly finished with me.
-
Now I'm listening to music.
-
Good night, all.
-
I said, I'm listening to music.
-
I finished the liner notes and sent them on their merry way.
-
This is sad. I am sure she appreciated your frienship tonight.
-
That is what I thought. It is surprising then that the 3rd piece was too much. Maybe you are ready to reduce the number to 2 sluces.
-
I'm ready to reduce the number of slices from THAT jernt to zero :)
-
Well, I'm doing it.
-
What is this page four malarky?
-
I'm actually doing it!
-
I'm balancing my checkbook!
-
And since we're so close...
-
PAGE FIVE MALARKEY DANCE!! ;D
-
There were a couple of times somewhat recently where I said that I was going to balance my checkbook, but I didn't actually do it. ::)
-
But now, I'm actually doing it.
-
Well, what I'm doing right now is entering all my transactions into my Excel spreadsheet checkbook register.
-
Then, I'll actually go through and balance everything...to the penny!
-
No matter how long it takes me.
-
It turns out that the last time I balanced it was June 25th!
-
:o
-
Good evening.
-
So, we'll see how long it takes me to actually do all of this.
-
Hi, Tom.
-
I'm balancing my checkbook!
I think you need to get out more.
-
Or, in your case, you need to get out less!
-
Pizza by the slice is really more of an east coast thing.
-
And I would count L.A. in as part of the east coast.
-
Did I ever mention that I flunked Geography in high school?
-
Hi, George.
-
Pizza by the slice is really more of an east coast thing.
There are a couple of local places here in Olympia that have pizzas by the slice. And of course, Costco sells it by the slice.
-
Did I ever mention that I flunked Geography in high school?
:))
-
And I would count L.A. in as part of the east coast.
I certainly would agree with you on this one!
-
As for my checkbook balancing, I don't expect to finish it all tonight.
-
There are places in this area that sell pizza by the slice, now, but when I was growing up nobody sold pizza by the slice out here.
-
After I enter all the information into my spreadsheet, I'm going to stop.
-
I'll need a break...an all night long break.
-
I thought I had died and gone to heaven when I went to New York for the first time when I was eighteen..
-
After I enter all the information into my spreadsheet, I'm going to stop.
Why don’t you enter the information into the spreadsheet every day? Then it would only take a few minutes to balance it.
-
Well, duh! But I don't turn on my computer every day, so the receipts stay crammed in my wallet, and then when there are too much of them, I put them in an envelope on my computer, then I avoid them until it's all just too much to avoid. ::)
;)
How do you post at HHW if you don’t turn on your computer every day?
I post on my tablets, or less often, my phone.
-
I can (and do) post from my work computer when I'm at work.
-
I am listening to Larry Kert & the Company Ensemble doing “Being Alive.” I didn’t know there was a recording with Larry Kert.
