Well, you've read the notes, the notes were post-birthday notes, and now it is time for you to post until the post-birthday cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: OXYMORON!
-
First post after BK.
-
Last night, Tom asked me, "What is KRYPTON (the show)? I know what Krypton is." According to the plot summary in the IMDb listing (https://www.imdb.com/title/tt4276624/reference):
Set two generations before the destruction of the legendary Man of Steel's home planet, KRYPTON follows Superman's grandfather - whose House of El was ostracized and shamed - as he fights to redeem his family's honor and save his beloved world from chaos.
-
Evidently, season two ended in a cliffhanger, but then it was cancelled. :o It's hoped that a third season can be picked up by another outlet.
-
Topic of the Day:
The Art of Racing in the Rain
Avengers: Endgame
Bohemian Rhapsody
Captain Marvel
Downton Abbey
Frozen II
Judy

Time for bed.
Have a good day, all!
-
Alas the glorious birthday cake is too large a photo file to post here. It is on the Facebook.
-
Good morning, all!
-
I have physical therapy this morning, but I would rather avoid the rain and stay in with the impeachment hearings.
-
I am quite sleepy at the moment and I wish I could go back to bed.
-
DR John G, what is a 1% friend?
-
Kitty cleanup is finished. I'll leave for therapy around 8:30.
-
Good morning, all.
-
Happy Monday vibes for all.
-
DR John G, what is a 1% friend?
They are rich enough to belong to the 1%.
-
Good morning to everyone hope everyone has a great week
-
Good morning!
-
Good morning
-
It is pouring down with rain
-
And I must get ready for work
-
Good morning, all.
-
And good Monday vibes to the lot o' yez.
-
Tonight I begin rehearsing for the next show which opens at the end of January. This is a moment in history when there is truly no rest for the wicked, and I've apparently been as wicked as a person can be.
-
But today is something of a ME day in which I'm going to continue some serious reorganizing of a closet that I started yesterday, and hopefully get a few other projects done around the house.
Tomorrow will be more of same, but with lots of keyboard time working on the new music I will have only seen for the first time tonight.
-
T.O.D.
I don't think I've seen any 2019 films yet.
Nothing of interest has come to RedBox yet, but (I believe) that ONCE UPON A TIME IN...HOLLYWOOD (not based on my book) will be out this week, so I will definitely see that.
-
TOD:
Amazing Grace
Toni Morrison: The Pieces I Am
The Last Black Man in San Francisco
The Mustang
Blinded by the Light
A few also-rans include Us, Booksmart, Yesterday, Rocketman and Britt-Marie Was Here.
-
I am home from physical therapy, which was really stressful today. I survived, and now I can watch the impeachment. I had a flashback to coming home from grade school to my mother watching the McCarthy hearings.
-

I couldn't find it.

DR John G, what is a 1% friend?
They are rich enough to belong to the 1%.
:o
-
What is all this there then?
-
Oh Page Two.
-
Nice photo DR GINNY.
That is a great shirt DR JANE!
-
I am glad the party was fun yesterday! I'm not sure how they make those cakes either.....it has to be some kind of technology.
-
DR JOHN G was making tarts yesterday and dancing in champagne.....I can't wait to read the book.
-
Yes DR TCB - as DR GEORGE said the tv series KRYPTON was about Jor-el's father and all kinds of trouble.
But it was very interesting and I liked it a lot....except for the Season Two cliff hanger & cancellation.
I always liked the Superman & Superboy comics that had stories about Krypton.....
-
TOD:
Downton Abbey The Movie
Once Upon A Time In Hollywood....
I am still waiting to see Judy.....

With illustrations.

Of course.

Monday morning greetings! It's very dreary in SW Ohio today and pouring rain. My goal is to finish decking the living room and dining room and, maybe, start on the family room. That should brighten things up.
-
I am happy to report that COLETTE has landed in Indiana and happy to report that the label was NOT over the pull tab!
-
Nice photo DR GINNY.
That is a great shirt DR JANE!
Thank you. I love the soft feel of a new sweatshirt.

I couldn't find it, either. :-\

This morning before I left for therapy, Annabelle kept following me around, talking to me. What do you want? I kept asking her.
-
So, I picked her up and scrutinized her face. Her right nostril had dried snot in it. I cleaned it out, and she didn't bother me any more after that.
-
She's pestering me now because she wants some dinner. 45 more minutes, Annabelle.
-
I'm up, I'm up - eight hours of sleep and must get crackin'.
-
I am sorry-grateful.
I still think about adopting a dog. This is Hachi, who ended up last night on the ACC euthanasia list for tomorrow. He weighs 33 lbs, which is very good for my apartment, and he likes cats. Cat-friendly dogs show up very rarely on the ACC killing lists. Usually the dogs are strays so there's no history of how the dog gets along with strangers, other dogs, or cats, or else the dog that is cat-friendly weighs between 50 and 100 lbs! I draw the limit at 40 lbs.
I really don't want to think about adopting a dog until the hip replacement is out of the way and I know my mobility is back on track, but Hachi might be murdered tomorrow. I was prepared tomorrow morning to adopt him if no one had stepped up. Well, I am sorry to lose him but very very grateful that some kind soul adopted him this afternoon.
-
Apparently, according to a post on Facebook, Corky's is closing next Sunday and will become a Chick-fil-A. It's classic Googie architecture and I would have thought it would be designated a landmark, but perhaps the plan is to keep it as it is.

He's a very good looking dog, Larry. No wonder you wanted to adopt him, but it's great that someone has!
-
I agree, DR George!
-
The super just stopped by to tell me that the plumber had found the leak in the apartment above me and it had been repaired.
-
Good news DR ELMORE.
Purty doggie. Good story with a happy ending.

Mercury in Sag and a few other happenings point to career boosts and job offers coming along on Thursday December 12 - FULL MOON.
But you have to speak up when given the opportunity.
-
Picked up some packages, did some banking, and had some pizza slices for food.

I will have more news down the pike about Dec. 12, but this afternoon I received an email invitation to an event that evening from a former employer!

She has learned you make her feel better :)

Thank goodness.
-
Good news Hachi was adopted. He might be cat friendly but it doesn't mean your cats are dog friendly. Cats have been know to do damage to dogs, especially if they scratch an eye. Food for thought.

I never said it was a party.

True, my brain translated holiday time meaning an event is a party. Whatever the event is, have a great time.
-
I spent the day working on Christmas decorating, then went to this month's AAUW meeting. The program was 3 of my friends talking about their world travels. As much as I love Marianne, Chris, and Katie, I still don't want to go scuba diving in the South Pacific, river cruising in China, or adventuring in Antarctica.
-
I am in love with a couple of part Maine Coon sisters that are up for adoption in PA. One in particular is my ideal cat.
-
At least they are with a no kill rescue.
-
Fun Kritzerland rehearsal and shortly I shall be on my way to what will hopefully be a VERY short audition.
-
Good luck it is very short.
-
I'm off to the first (I think) read-through of Equivocation, for which I'll be running sound. It won't be a short read-through, I'm sure. ;)
Be back later.
-
I find it odd that Beetlejuice, which is making more than $1 million a week, has to close because the theater is wanted for The Music Man.
-
I'm sure it's not the greatest show in the universe, but it at least is drawing crowds.
-
Back to The Brothers Bloom. Fun but clumsy movie.
-
Where is everybody tonight?
-
Is George watching SpongeBob?
-
Is Jane reading SpongeBob?
-
Is Vixmom eating the SpongeBob special at Texas Roadhouse?
-
Wherever they are and whatever they're doing with SpongeBob, they're not posting.
-
We should move on.
-
In a hurry.
-
With a flurry.
-
Of scurrilous characters.
-
And maybe with some curry.
-
Going to an Indian buffet tomorrow for lunch. Looking forward to it.
-
Four!
-
I've started watching That Part Feeling: The Universe of Arvo Part.
-
I really love his music. Rather otherworldly. And not afraid to take its time.
-
I type that and Part appears on screen telling the orchestra they may have to stretch the tempo out a bit. Forget that energy.
-
Think of it as if you'd just had a big dinner and can hardly move.
-
Sure enough, the slower the tempo, the more expressive it seems.
-
I must get some sleep.
-
I'm sorry to leave this to you, TCB.
-
Good night, all.
-
Gratuitous post No. 99!
-
Is Jane reading SpongeBob?
;D
-

Yum.
-
We have watched three episodes from season 3 of The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel. All 3 episodes were very good.
-
Is Vixmom eating the SpongeBob special at Texas Roadhouse?
The closest I have come to sponge bob is washing the dinner dishes. The sponge may or may not have been named Bob
-
I did not enquire
-
Which, in retrospect, may have been rude behavior on my part.
-

Well, I didn't make it to the read-through. ::)

Oh oh what happened?
-
I assumed that it would be at the director's house, but no one was there.
-
So, instead of trying to find out where it was being held, I drove through McDonald's for dinner, then got some cat food at Fred Meyer.

So you went on a scavenger hunt, seeking actors?
-

I guessed wrong
-
Which tasted better, the McDonalds or the cat food?

Well, I only had the McDonald's, and Neve only had the cat food, but I think we were both satisfied. ;D

It’s 2:14 tomorrow
-
Where the neck is page 5 already?
-
Some of us have to go to work tomorrow
-
Today rather
-
Is someone watching The Creature Wasn't Nice?
-
I gotta tell you.
-
Page five? Really?
-
Eastern standard time even
-
Oh looky page 5
-
Bedtime
-
Goodnight all
-
Read four actors tonight - three women, one man. Two of the women very good, and the man we'll probably cast since I like him and have worked with him before.
-
Then Doug and I talked for a bit, then I stopped at Popeye's and got a couple of chicken breasts for my evening meal. Mild, and yet they gave me spicy. They were spicy, all right. I ate them, but they were too spicy.
-
'night
-
So, no time to watch anything. Instead listening to interesting music by Marcel Poot and now the Bach Goldberg Variations orchestrated for strings by Dmitry Sitkovetsky - absolutely enchanting.
-
Now that have the reissued Colette Collage, I took a few pictures with the artwork that I got. Here's the first picture that I took:
-
I'm filled with spice and it isn't nice and next time I'll think twice about eating spice in a trice.
-
Next, here's the back artwork:
-
Here's the back of the new booklet with the back artwork:
-
And finally:
-
Thanks so much, BK!
-
Hopefully soon, I can get good quality scans of all the images.
-
Hello.
-
Sorry to be late, but I had friends over to see the condo, and then we went out for a long dinner.
-
Hi, Tom.
-
I had suggested that we go to the Black Bear Diner, but my friends wanted drinks, and I had no idea if they even serve booze.
-

Where did you end up going?
-
We went into ask, but they apparently weren’t interested in sending any of their staff up to seat anyone, or even say howdy.
