DR Jane, Thanks for your email. I understand address issues too well. I've got three address books and they need to be reconciled. It's even worse with email addresses!
DR vixmom and TCB, I hope you both are feeling better today.
I just called the doctor who gave me hip and knee injections in October for the second time in the past week about getting another round. His assistant sucks at returning calls.
DR TCB that is a tragic story you posted about.....so sad.
Luckily, I have work here.
However, it was Rob's 3 adult female cousins who made the most noise, screaming when he and Mary Linda announced part 2 of their news:
They're expecting a baby!!!
Yes, Richard and I will become grandparents around June 11. We have known for a couple of months, but, of course, waited until they were ready to spread the news.

I have been expecting this news, not sure why but have been.

We have a dyslexic postal sorter in the 10024 station. Last night I brought up a package with a big "3C" written in magic marker. It was a priority mail package, and I kept wondering, what is this? A gift? The package contained a box of Christmas cards, which I had not ordered. I checked the label: 230 West 82nd Street, and not my address. Damn!
Now I have to deal with getting this to the proper owner and apologize for opening her mail.

She just called me back! I now need to call my HMO and find out if I need another referral or if the eralier one form October is still good.

Got a call from someone at Mom and Dad’s church. Folks with experience in finance are stepping in to help them out. It’s a little like angels coming in.

Thanks, DR Jane! It's what I thought they were going to tell us on September 4 when they told us about the move to Chicago.

Thanks, DR Elmore! With this news and 2 of your '64 classmates celebrating 50th wedding anniversaries this month I'm beginning to feel old.
We are home bound today, being in the thick of the Wintry Mix. It looks like we got less than an inch of the white stuff, but its sleeting now and theyre calling for freezing rain for most of the day. Most of the public schools in Connecticut are closed.
Whats more, were going to be in a deep freeze for a good long while now.
Ugh. Its Winter, folks.
hopefully good. Our CEO just announced his retirement.
Good news or bad, DR John G?
DR vixmom and TCB, I hope you both are feeling better today.
Thank you for the belated birthday wishes, DR TCB.
And no apologies, please. Vibes for Nicky, and take care of yourself while youre at it. I had my flu shot a week ago, and fortunately no reaction. But Ive never had anything but a mildly sore arm from them. Knocking wood. Well, actually, knocking the fabric of my recliner.
My barber is booked tomorrow morning, so we have a date for Friday.

DR Elmore, you're making me nervous about mailing the item to you that I'm getting ready this morning...

Thank you. I am feeling better today. I took some Mucinex Night Shift, it seemed to help.

This is the first time I have had any reaction, so I think it may just be a bug of some kind.

Thanks, Jane. I don't know how long it'll take before they let me know, though. Hopefully, not too long.

Have you signed up for "mychart" or whatever they call their's? I love that. I get my results super fast, usually no later than the next day.
I just checked my e-mail and my results are in. :-\

I don't think so. I can look online, but I don't think I've heard of "my chart" or anything like that. I'll take a look.
The :-\ face was in anticipation of the results. I checked the results and they're all within the normal ranges! :D
WHEW!! ;D
WHEW!! ;D
:)
Does this mean they don't show any elevation or you are in pre-diabetes mode?

Both Tacoma and Puyallup are located in Pierce County. Yesterday it was announced that the woman that is the head of the Pierce County Housing Authority is believed to have embezzled Seven Million Dollars, over the past four years, into her personal accounts. She must have misunderstood the part where it says that the Housing Authority money is suppose to be used to house the poor and homeless.
George, you already watched the Director's Cut, yes? So, then you can compare, which will be fun. Yes, I believe they supplied something for the film.
Today was my one year anniversary at the office

Kitty cleanup is accomplished and now that Gurjeet fixed my back yesterday, it went really easily.

I hope the authorities are planning on providing her with housing for the next 10 years or so. And recovering the $ and using it for the intended purpose
Congrats to DR George on his good A1C number.
Congratulations George on the good report
I just ran across this picture, just the boys and me ...I’m not sure where Ginny and Richard were.
What a great day that was!

Travel vibes fir Jane and Keith, enjoy your family visit!
It's been a hectic day here. This morning I definitely felt I was coming down with something, modified my plans for the day, and took Sambucol and Echinacea. I felt better quickly, but found that the heater wasn't working. Sigh. I called the manager, who said a repairman could come out this afternoon. I rushed to take care of some grocery shopping. The repairman thought the thermostat just needed new batteries. I had one on hand that was the right size and my neighbor offered another, giving us the requisite two. I HOPE that takes care of it. It's been quite cold at night. The last time the thermostat needed to be replaced it was a battle with the management here.
Homelessness has become so much worse here in California. The fires left many people homeless and, in many cases, the fires left them without jobs as well. It's really heartbreaking.

I was diagnosed as diabetic three years ago, but with medication, my numbers are all within the normal range. This time, my A1c went up one-tenth of one point, but it's also still within the normal range.

The malfunctioning heater made me think about options for heating. Small, sometimes desk-sized heaters are available now and seem pretty popular. I'm thinking about buying one for the dinette area, which I use as a mini home office. It's freezing in there on cold days.
Anyone have any recommendations?
