Well, you've read the notes, the notes were confused about this being a VACATION, and now it is time for you to post until the confused cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: DEIPNOSOPHIST!
Smoke on your pipe and put THAT in.
-
First post after BK.
-
Franz Reizenstein.. Wasn’t he the husband of Helena?

Gratuitous Post #4!
-
Today is my fried Margo's birthday! Tonight, her daughters and I (and probably some others) will meet at Casa Mia (http://www.casamiarestaurants.com/) for a birthday dinner.
-
I'm finally off to bed. ::)
Have a good day, all!
-
Good morning, all!
-
This is a work day. I've got to get a big chunk of the work I have on my work table finished before more songs come in. I may need a trip to Straples as well. I'll work and listen to the impeachment vote.
-
On the home front, I have things to cart to the basement and some tidying up to do.
-
I did not sleep well last night, but I remember waking several times and thinking, what was that dream about? I remember none opf them now.
-
Good morning, all.
-
Happy birthday, Margo!
-
I have too much to do today.
-
Annabelle and Stella are working my last nerve this morning. Both have decided to escape the apartment and roam the halls, and I've been out twice to retrieve them. I don't mind their being out, but I cannot move well enough to chase them.
-
I have to clean out the refrigerator this morning as well. I swear there are dishes that have been inside there since 2000.
-
I just posted my Annabelle & Thatch Christmas story for this year.

Wednesday morning greetings! Another mostly at-home day for me. I have to bake gingerbread cookies, pick up one of Rob and Mary Linda’s Christmas presents, and make two 50th anniversary cards for those high school classmates of Richard and DR Elmore.
-
Thank you to DRs Vixmom, Jeanne, TCB, and Jan for the grandparent wishes from last night.
-
The photo DR Vixmom posted last night was taken after Richard and I left City Center to make our way to Lincoln Square for a party. We’d had a lovely day, starting with brunch, the show, and the talk-back.
-
Good morning.
-
Congratulations, Granny Ginny! Looks like I started a trend!
-
Has anybody seen the movie version of CATS yet?
It's scheduled to open one week from now on Christmas day, yet I have yet to see one advanced review of the film.
I hope I'm wrong, but that does not bode well.
What works on stage does not always translate well to film.
-
Good morning!
-
Off to work laters
-
Congratulations, Granny Ginny! Looks like I started a trend!
Thanks, DR Laura!
-
HA! Congrats to DR GINNY & RICHARD on their pending grandparenthood.....exciting news!
-
DR VIXMOM I am enjoying our new job, too.....and now our CEO has submitted his resignation, so there should be a lot of JOB posts on HHW in the coming year.
Vibes that the Angels can help out for the parents of DR JOHN G.
-
I ordered the VALMOUTH and the REIZENSTEIN.....I laughed out loud at the piano and orchestra shenanigans in the sample.
-
No one should have to deal with a DEIPNOSOPHIST during the holiday season.....
-
HA! Congrats to DR GINNY & RICHARD on their pending grandparenthood.....exciting news!
Thanks, DR JRand! We’ll be driving through Indianapolis more frequently after the kids move...
-
Good morning, all.
-
Well, doesn't this feel like a damned Monday.
It does for me because the housemates were home from work yesterday due to the awful road conditions. This morning we got the driveway salted and sanded and life shall go on.
-
Just paid a couple of ugly bills. Ugh.

Adding more hoorays for Ginny's news!

I wasn't going to announce this until next year, but why not?

My Question For ASK BK DAY?
Do you know anyone who has a symphony orchestra because I think it would be most amusing to see you play that piece......perhaps.....a What If....of an accompanist who decides to play what he wants instead of the singers' choices.....

Getting an Actual Vacation VIBES for MR BK.
-
Hello!
-
Congrats, DR Ginny and Richard!
-
We are on the train from our airport hotel to see Bryan.
-
We had to change rooms this morning as our 1st room was too cold.
-
Congrats, DR Ginny and Richard!
Thank you, DR KevinH!

I'll see it, but I'm not expecting to love it. ::) But I'll keep an open mind...hopefully.

~~~Super Ditto!!~~~
:o
It sounds like they changed the concept to some kind of Cat Talent Contest.....but I could be wrong.
-
My A1C numbers are the only thing normal about me DR GEORGE....
-
DR JEANNE I use this fan/heater. The reviews are all over the place and there's a California warning on it which I hadn't noticed....I am always careful if I use a space heater that it's plugged directly into the outlet and NOT using an extension cord.
I don't use it everyday....but when it's chilly in the computer room it heats it up quickly. Two settings and it can set flat on it's side depending on how much room you have.
I'm surprised no one does it - I mean, they do do it - in Europe a lot. Many videos on YouTube.
-
We are out walking with the kids. It is only 17 degrees. Thank goodness we are currently in a book store
-
I'm up, I'm up - maybe six hours of sleep. Had to forward orders, answer telephonic calls, pay humungous Kritzerland bills, and then pick up some packages and have McDonald's for quickie food. Been listening to music after working at the piano.
I was laughing out loud as I read this!
You know I never met your babies yet, I will be very disappointed if they don't speak to me when I do.
-
You'll have to come by and meet them. Annabelle will be friendly, Stella curious, and Thatch will hide under the bed.
I would. Love to!
Well, I'm off to the birthday dinner with Margo.
Be back later.
-
Wuld "A-1-C" to the tune of "NYC" from ANNIE be too obscure?
-
Once again Christmas is arriving faster than I can get ready
-
The tree is up but. It only has lights
-
And that’s only because they’re permanently attached
-
I haven’t even started getting the ornament boxes out of the crawl space
-
But tonight’s meatloaf was nice
-
With teeny tiny new potatoes cooked along side the loaf
-
Peas (vixdad favorite) for greens
-
And there is enough leftover for tomorrow nights dinner
-
DR Laura I love your new Christmas avatar.
-
I agree! Great avatar Laura!
-
Bryan bought me a box of Mallomars. They are so good. I left almost half of them with Kate though I easily could have eaten them all.
-
Kate feels great and looks beautiful.
-
Trump has been impeached!
-
I had fun playing with the jogging stroller we got them. We saw the other things they have purchased so far and heard about the wonderful women's hospital where our dranddaughter will be born.
-
Trump has been impeached!
Are you excited ;)
-
Maybe I should have said surprised.
-
Bryan's office/nursery still needs a lot of work.
-
Hello, everyone.
-
I am pleased to announce that my apartment continues to have heat. I must remember that this thermostat has batteries and to check that first in cases of malfunction.
-
Jrand, thanks for the feedback about your portable heater. It does sound like a sensible purchase.
-
Methinks Jane is getting quite excited about her new grandbaby. And understandably so.
-
I would like to take a break from politics for a while. I feel exhausted. And I wasn't even involved!
-
Good night.
-
Methinks Jane is the title of my next novel.
-
And speaking of my next novel - it's not a novel at all. Isn't that novel?
-
And I did some work on it today.
-
Also auditioned four folks earlier this evening.
-
Also, watched the first forty-five minutes of Little Women, which critics are falling all over themselves to call GREAT. I don't find it great, thus far. I find it to perfectly reflect the type of person its director is - so, the pluckiness and cuteness wears thin for me almost instantly. She also resorts to silly tricks to use in a period piece - suddenly going into slow motion for no real reason, or speeding up because she feels like it. It just feels rather precious. I'm sure I'll finish it. I also watched the first twenty minutes of a movie called Motherless Brooklyn, written, directed, produced by its star, Edward Norton. The production design is very nice, and I enjoyed the opening sequence, but it's two hours and twenty-six minutes long - clearly Mr. Norton thinks everyone will be enthralled but that hasn't proven to be the case.
-
Good evening.
-
Jane, are you going to be traveling during all of Hanukkah?
-
Happy Birthday to Margo!
-
Trump has been impeached!
And that, I believe, will prove to be a total mistake.
-
Page 4?
-
This is unreal!
-
I think we should be able to rollover excess posts on to the next day.
-
One night we make it page seven.
-
And the next day, some idiot is trying to pst fifty times in a half hour.
-
I think I have recovered from the plague, or whatever.
-
I honestly thought we had another week until Christmas.
-
Surprise!
-
I agree! Great avatar Laura!
Ditto, two! ;D
-
I am just not feeling it.
-
Hi, Tom.
-
I don’t even know if I want to start attending a new church right at Christmas.
-
Hell, I don’t even want to start a new Mall this Christmas.
-
The rain deluge has started.
-
Not much rain today, a little over an inch.
-
Tomorrow thru Friday we are expecting three to four more inches.
-
Happy Birthday to Margo!
Thanks, Tom!
-
Lord we are still on page four?
-
I think I have recovered from the plague, or whatever.
That's good news!
Lord we are still on page four?
Not any more! :D
Hi, George.
-
Gratuitous post #124!
-
UNDERPANTS!
-
Is anyone planning on seeing Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker?
-
George, I finally unpacked a couple of things that were meant for you, but I doubt I will get them to you by next week.
-
I read one review, ‘Rise Of Skywalker’ Is The Worst ‘Star Wars’ Movie Ever. (https://www.forbes.com/sites/scottmendelson/2019/12/18/review-disney-and-lucasfilms-star-wars-the-rise-of-skywalker-is-a-terrible-end-to-the-skywalker-saga/amp/) :o
-
George, I finally unpacked a couple of things that were meant for you, but I doubt I will get them to you by next week.
Don't worry about it. I still have DVDs to send to you and several other Hainsies and Kimlets.
-
The MRS. DOUBTFIRE musical has only gotten two reviews that I have found so far. The Seattle Times review was not good, but Broadway World raved about it. Both reviews highly praised Rob McClure in the title role.
There's another article: The Rise of Skywalker Is the Worst-Reviewed Star Wars Movie Since The Phantom Menace. (https://slate.com/culture/2019/12/the-rise-of-skywalker-is-the-worst-reviewed-star-wars-movie-since-the-phantom-menace.html)
I am running out of time to shop!!
-
And I don’t have that many people to shop for.
-
I have no idea what to get for Donald Trump.
I have no idea what to get for Donald Trump.
Start a GoFundMe to bribe four senators. ;)
I am reading a really interesting Titanic book that I had never heard of before. It is called THE OTHER SIDE OF THE NIGHT: THE CARPATHIA, THE CALIFORNIAN AND THE NIGHT THE TTANIC WAS LOST.
-
The title is almost as long as the entire book.
-
Interesting. Is it a new book?
-
And do you like it, so far?
-
I just looked it up and it's not new. It's about 10 years old.
