Well, you've read the notes, the notes doubled, tripled, and quadrupled the notes, and now it is time for you to post until the double, triple, and quadruple cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: FULGENT!
-
John thank you for the vibes.
-
Good morning, all!
-
Thank you George.
-
For me these days, it wasn't a bad night of sleep.
-
DR George, I was afraid the easy kitty cleanup portended something grisly before the day ended. Luckily, that wasn't the case.
-
DR John continued vibes to you and your family. May your father be comfortable and content.
-
DR Jane, that was a really frightening story about Keith. I hope he's okay.
-
This morning, as soon as 9:00 lands, I will drag the old cat tree out of the apartment, vacuum the area, and assemble the new one. I hope it goes smoothly; I will have three cats anxiously supervising my work.
-
Last night, we watched the film of Downton Abbey, and I was happy to see that I enjoyed it all over again.
-
I wish I had a friend in the City with a car. I need to make that supermarket run today or tomorrow, and there isn't one readily accessible in my area any longer.
-
Good morning, all.
-
Raining out there. And it will likely rain for most of the drive.
-
I need to get up.
-
Good morning, all.
-
And here we are again... it’s a matinee day.
-
It’s so good to read about the laughs, and it continues to kill me that I can’t see this production. Hell’s Bells (does anyone still say Hell’s Bells?), I still feel that about LI’L ABNER and DIAL ‘M’ FOR MURDER and BK’s own original works.
-
We had a strange, but ultimately good, audience last night. I figured I’d jinxed it by posting of the great audience reactions to this show, because this group was noticeably quieter during the opening announcement, and then disturbingly (for my taste) quiet through the first two ensemble numbers. Then something happened and the solo number that follows pulled them right in, and they were with us on every word through the rest of the evening. Go figure.
-
I enjoyed THE COTTON CLUB. In fact, I have it on DVD.
No real interest in seeing a revised version.
Doesn't Mr. Coppola have something better to do?
Whatever happened to THE GODFATHER IV?
It was supposed to focus on the Andy Garcia character.
-
Thanks to DR Elmore and family for the beautiful e-card this morning!
-
I never saw THE COTTON CLUB. It sounds like I’d like it fine, but for some reason I was never quite enticed to go out to see it or even rent it back in the day.
There was another one BK mentioned recently that I meant to comment on. NEW YORK, NEW YORK. To this day I haven’t had the slightest inclination to see it. It’s not like I don’t like most of the people involved, or like I don’t love that little town we like to call New York, New York. Y’know? But from day one, I always somehow “knew” I had no interest in this movie.
-
Kitty cleanup went too smoothly again today. I'm hoping this cat tree assembly goes equally well.

I would swear that I've seen a DVD of NEW YORK NEW YORK with the cut numbers in an Appendix or put back into the film, but my only memory of it now is "will it ever end?"

Vibes for KEITH!!
Continued vibes for DR JOHN G and his family.
-
Audition, announcement, and SHOW vibes for MR BK & Co.
-
Good work DR GINNY - your proxmity should help.
-
I am tired after reading about DR VIXMOM's day yesterday.
I was thinking I didn't have to go to the store this week, but I think I will go tomorrow just to pick up a few things and FOR SURE not have to go any other day.....next week.....
-
Thanks to DR ELMORE for the e-card!
Building vibes for ELMORE & Co Construction.
-
DR Jane, that was a really frightening story about Keith. I hope he's okay.
Thank you. Time will tell, nothing he can do but wait. Bryan said it should be ok and gave him warning symptoms to watch for.

Good morning from Washington National Airport!

Vibes for DR JohnG and family.

Vibes for Keith.
-
Sunday morning greetings! Richard's at church and I'm home continuing my Christmas prep and listening to Idina Menzel's holiday CD, which I received yesterday from my sister. It's pretty jazzy.
-
DR Jane, that was a really frightening story about Keith. I hope he's okay.
Thank you. Time will tell, nothing he can do but wait. Bryan said it should be ok and gave him warning symptoms to watch for.
I'm glad you know what to be on the lookout for, DR Jane!
-
DR John G, your family remains in my thoughts and prayers...
-
John your Dad and family were remembered in our church’s prayers this morning
-
I hope Keith is feeling ok today
-
The cat tree is assembled and the old one dragged to the basement. Annabelle was in the hammock for a bit and now she's inside the little house. Stella and Thatch are exploring it cautiously. I painted myself into a corner a couple of times, and my mobility problems added to the time it took to complete the work, about 3 hours including cleanup. I am quite happy with it.
-
I loved the original Cotton Club and really want to see the re-edited version because it has supposedly more footage of Gregory Hines, Lonette McKee and the musical numbers.
But Coppola has a bad record of editing musical numbers, as One from the Heart and Finian’s Rainbow ably demonstrate.
-
I love every note of the New York, New York soundtrack. Georgie Auld’s saxophone is incredible. Liza’s voice was warm, wonderful. The Kander-Ebb songs great. The story of Francine and Johnny not so hot.
-
I'm up, I'm up - seven hours of sleep.
-
I shall now be on my way to the theater.
-
DR Jane, that was a really frightening story about Keith. I hope he's okay.
Thank you. Time will tell, nothing he can do but wait. Bryan said it should be ok and gave him warning symptoms to watch for.
That is so scary. Please let us know how he is doing.

They've all checked their new cat tree out. When I returned from the market they were all sleeping, Annabelle in the hammock, Thatch in the top bed, and
Stella in the little house on the second level. We need to get our court photographer in for a session.
-
It was a lovely and generous gift, and I would call it a success.
-
I am as caught up with wrapping as I can be at the moment and I have baked a batch of shortbread cut-outs. Between tasks I’ve sat with a bag of frozen peas on my ankle to relieve what I’ve diagnosed as tarsal tunnel syndrome.
-
Good morning from Washington National Airport!
Hi. We will be there tomorrow afternoon.
-
Vibes for Keith.
Thank you. So far no concerning symptoms.

We’re going out to Meijer this evening - shall we get them for you?
-
Let me know if I should email it for a clearer photo. Because of her coloring it is difficult to get a photo that shows how pretty she is.

Yes please, also a Container of frozen Breyers peppermint hot chocolate ice cream, please and if you wouldn’t mind pulling the ornaments out of the crawl space and decorating the tree when you drop the batteries off that would be great!

-
I look forward to finding batteries ice cream and a decorated tree when I get back
-
We had a wonderful day in DC Now, after a short break, we are off to meet Craig for dinner.

What a wonderful report!

What I can report is that we got through a bloody matinee. And that I am home. With two cats on the recliner with me and a quesadilla and Manhattan at my side.
-

Sorry, DR Vixmom, we’ve postponed the outing to tomorrow so we can do it in the daylight.
-
I have settled in with two cheeseburgers for dinner. Annabelle and Stella want a treat. As soon as I've finished my dinner, I will start the bath water and then give them their treat.

Happy Hanukkah to all who celebrate!

The wake was nice ( as wakes go)
-
It was rather nice reconnecting with distant cousins I haven’t seen in years !
-
Our mothers all spoke every day so we all know the details of each other’s lives despite not having seen each other’s faces in 20 years or more.
-
On the way home I stopped at CVS
-
I now own eight D cell batteries
-
Which I just realized I left in the car
-
I need a minder
-
A reminder minder
-
A reminder minder
I read that as “a reindeer minder”.

O Lordy did I buy a reindeer too? Now where did I leave that?!
-
Back from a not as good as last night show, due to some sloppy timing and low vocal energy from our leading man, but that's me watching - I think the audience really enjoyed it from the reaction at the end.
-
Then I went to the cast party and that was fun. I had mac-and-cheese and one bit of ham and that was it, so a very good boy.
-
Then I went to Ralph's and got everything else I needed for the Do. The really good news is they were having an incredible sale on Diet Coke and waters, so I really stocked up. And a savings of forty bucks, so that's pretty good.
-
I was only able to get one of the waters in the house because it began to pour. So, as soon as that stops I'll bring in the rest of the stuff.
-
I cannot remember who liked this broadcast but I thought this might be of interest

I didn't know that this was on. I completely missed this. :-\
-
I fell down today
-
Tripped over and uneven pavement slab and went down hard
-
My left palm and wrist are quite bruised
-
Along with my right knee
-
A man saw me fall and kindly came over and helped me back up
-
The one thing I hate about progressive lenses is I can't see the ground when I walk
-
Well tomorrow is another day
-
That I have to somehow fit a weeks worth of chores into
-
Along with a full day of work
-
No more falling!
-
I wonder if the boss would take it admiss if I called in "too busy to work today"
-
No more falling!
From your lips to my stupid feet

PAGE FIVE DANCE!!

Maybe they need adjusting. I basically took the reading portion out of mine. To read up close I take my glasses off.

~~~Feel Better Quickly Vibes for Vixmom!!~~~
-
I fell asleep for an hour. Tried to watch Ford vs. Ferrari and just hated it. I know people like it, but I have up after forty minutes. I'll take Grand Prix any day, and if I never see Mr. Christian Bale in another film it will be too soon.
-
Thank you George for posting the sweet photo of Kitty.
-
I must get some sleep
-
Congrats on the sale and the savings, BK!
-
Then I watched a bit of Something for Everyone, a film that went away so quickly I never had a chance to see it. Well, it's as awful as everyone says - but I'll bet on the imdb there'll be the usual "undiscovered gem" comments. I didn't realize it was quite so early in the Harold Prince years - 1970.
-
Super fast healing vibes for Vixmom!
-
Good night all
-
He really knew nothing about film.
-
I wonder if the boss would take it admiss if I called in "too busy to work today"
At my work, we get 16 hours per year that we can use for anything, and we don't have to give a reason. They are use-them-by-the-end-of-each-year-or-lose-them hours, so I usually just use them first.
-
Thank you George for posting the sweet photo of Kitty.
Anytime!
-
Still pouring out - I did get the bags of groceries in, but the Diet Coke and waters are still out there.
-
Watched the first ten minutes of Madigan, a not so great Don Siegel movie that I'm quite fond of. Sadly, Kino accepted a piss poor transfer from Universal off a fading, brown internegative that looks like utter crap. I had a gorgeous dye transfer scope print of this film and this looks nothing like it.
-
Good evening.
-
Hi, Tom.
-
I watched a sweet little movie from 2018 called THE CHRISTMAS CHRONICLES. It stars Kurt Russell as Santa Claus, so you know it is a documentary. It is sweet, a bit corny, but, all in all, a nice way to spend one hour and forty minutes this holiday season.
-
Hi, George.
-
Like vixmom, I also fell today, but I had the decency to do it in the privacy of my own home. I did no permanent damage, but I ended up spending th rest of the day in bed.
-
Now, I have to complete two days worth of errands in one day.
-
I think I will make it an early night, and go to sleep.
-
Oh, no! Hope you're feeling better!
-
I have a topic for the next two days. What is your favorite Christmas song(s)?
Now there are rules. It can be a classic carol, a holiday classic, or a comic song for the season. BUT, you are limited to only two choices. No copying the list of “Billboard’s Hot 100 Christmas Tunes” or the listing from the back of one of your holiday CDs. Two songs only. So take your time. You have tomorrow and Tuesday to post your favorites!
HAPPY HOLIDAYS!
-
I'll definitely have to think about this, but I already know that neither will be a traditional/classic Christmas carol.
-
Good night, Tom.
-
Well, I have to go to bed soon.
-
I need to get to work early because it's the last couple of days of invoicing for the year, and I new have to scan ALL the invoices and make PDF files instead of just giving the finance office the paper copies.
-
It's easy to do, but just VERY time consuming. :P
