Well, you've read the notes, the notes spoke of a lovely first day of the year, starting a new book, and having fun company, and now it is time for you to post until the lovely and fun cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: SPLORE!
-
And now - Dino at the piano.
-
Loved George's review of The Creature Wasn't Nice.
-
Glad you liked it, BK.
-
Topic of the Day: I stayed in bed after I woke up, ketchuping on Twitter (don't hate me...at least, I never tweet anything myself) while recording the Celebrating Sondheim PBS special onto my DVD burner. I eventually got my butt out of bed and fed my cat. I just puttered around the house for a while, then decided to go out for something to eat, so I went to Taco Time. Then, went to my sister's for a homemade cinnamon roll, then came home, and here I am. :)
-
Now, it's time for bed.
Have a good day, all!
-
Good morning, all!
-
I return to Mack & Mabel and City Center this morning. I haven't seen Joshie in weeks, so we have much to catch up on.
-
On my way there or back, I will make a very necessary bank stop.
-
I did not sleep well last night. I was quite restless. I only got up once for a bathroom break, but I spent a lot of time awake anbd trying to finbd a comfortable position. I did have at least two dreams, neither of which I now remember.
-
DR TCB, Nicky's situation breaks my heart. Is he crying for himself or for you?
I find Annabelle very empathic; if I weep - and I do too often these days, mostly out of fear of the future - or feel poorly, she knows, and she's all over me until she knows the spell has passed.
-
Speaking of fear of the future, I could sure use some really heavy vibes to sell that property.
-
Good morning, all.
-
Best vibes to all, as we ease - or jump - into the first “real” day of the new year.
-
Me, I have a day’s worth of music to work on. And nothing must keep me from my appointed rounds.
Wait. Where did appointed rounds come from?
Well, never mind. I must work hard, and that is all.
-
Thankfully, after tonight’s rehearsal, I have the next three days and nights clear. That will be invaluable for getting myself caught up on some things and then gearing up for four weeks of intense rehearsals prior to the next (wait for it) opening.
-
BK’s new book is bound (see what I did there?) to be most interesting. I should note, however, that I have yet to receive so much as a shipping notice. I shall be filing a complaint with the authorities.
-
And that’s about enough out of me. It’s time to finish up the morning cat feeding adventures, pay a damned bill, and get to work.
-
Kitty cleanup went very smoothly. I love this clumping litter!
-
Is it a new clumping litter, or you hadn’t been using clumping litter before?
-
Annabelle is very clingy this morning. I suspect it's less out of empathy and more to do with wanting some dry kibble. I must be sure they have water and dry food while I'm out.
And money for bail.
-
Is it a new clumping litter, or you hadn’t been using clumping litter before?
It's the same Arm & Hammer clumping litter I've used since Annabelle arrived in 2017. If this had existed in 1960 my life with it would have been so much happier than wrestling with dirty, wet sand.
-
And . . . Annabelle just threw up all over the floor. She might be sick, but I think it's a hairball.
-
Oy!
Here's hoping you find hair in it.
Seriously. I always check 'em for evidence of hair. Hairballing is normal, hairballing is good. Yes, of course cats vomit, too. But I'm always happier and relieved when it's a hairball.
-
It's harder to tell, though, when they throw up just after eating.
Because..... it's everything - INCLUDING hair, if any. :)
-
Posts for Breakfast Hour.
-
T.O.D.
We stayed home and watched a couple of movie musicals:
THE LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS
&
THE PAJAMA GAME, which featured my former publicity client, Barbara Nichols.
-
Good morning, all.
-
The Pajama Game is a favorite. Too much of the book gets lost in the transfer to screen, but I do enjoy the score. And I love the filming of Once-a-Year Day.
-
Vibes for Nicky.
-
Two!
-
I'll burn some more candles for DR ELMORE and that damned property.
-
My favorite SPLORES are Lewis & Clark.
-
Writing vibes for MR BK.
-
Coping vibes for DR JOHN G.
-
Yesterday I did some writing and some watching of the television....it was a nice New Year's Day.
I also changed the four calendars - computer room (I Love Lucy), the kitchen (free one from the town council), family room (Blossoms), and the desk.....
-
Vibes for DR TCB & NICKY THE KAT.
-
Thursday morning greetings! Slow start for us today, with no plans except to watch the Cincinnati Bearcats in their bowl game this afternoon.
-
TOD - we were home all day yesterday. I’m finally following doctor’s orders to stay off my ankle for a few days, so thank goodness for Richard and college bowl games. We watched the Rose Parade, the Citrus Bowl, and the Rose Bowl. Rob and Mary Linda came to retrieve the cat and I played at my art desk in the evening.
-
I’ve been listening to Say Nothing, a fascinating history of the IRA (the one in Ireland, not your retirement account). Elmore’s personal friend Stephen Rea has made a few appearances.
-
Ankle vibes for DR GINNY.
-
I think I will go to the grocery store tomorrow and buy some ice cream - among other things.....
-
Ankle vibes for DR GINNY.
Thank you, DR JRand. It's getting better, but I'm going to take it easy through the weekend to be on the safe side.

On your to-do list:
Cancel those ice skating plans.
-
Spellcheck just tried to make “list” “lust.”
I don’t know about to-do lusts.
-
I'm up, I'm up - six hours of sleep.
-
Poor Nick, poor DR TCB :(
-
Speaking of fear of the future, I could sure use some really heavy vibes to sell that property.
CONTINUED PROPERTY SELLING VIBES!

The weekend & maybe next week. Really, if you are willing to take prednisone you should do what is necessary not to need a refill on the script.
-
This advice from someone who is still eating chocolate, just not nearly as much ;D
-
Tom have you tried locking Nicky into your bedroom at night? Since he doesn't cry in your presence in might work.
-
We began our yesterday as usual, at the gym. Our walk was especially nice as the sun came out and sail boats were on the water.
-
I skipped the gym today since I had an early morning appointment & didn't feel like changing when I got home. I am also getting work done at home.
-
Back to work.
-
Spellcheck just tried to make “list” “lust.”
I don’t know about to-do lusts.
I’ve had a few of those...it was always a nice feeling to do those...

Why do today what you can put off until tomorrow...or for forever. ;)

Why break the habit of years?
New Year's resolution, return to the gym now that your work hours are no longer horrific.
-
Keith popped corn yesterday & we watched the last two episodes of "His Dark Materials". Last night I had dreams of what is to come next season. Boy do I hope my dreams are wrong.
-
We then watched the 4th episode of The "Mandalorian".
-
I have made my trek to City Center and the bank. All is good.
-
Much love to TCB and Nicky.
-
I am very tired, but it could be the Tizanidine. As soon as I feed the babies, I will lie down for a bit.
-
Mom has been napping. I tried. But i only slept for 20 minutes or so.
-
Back to Say Nothing.
-
Hey, it’s the eighth day of Christmas. I haven’t received any maids a’miliking yet. Just sayin’.

I suspect they'll bring their cows as well.
-
I've always loved Judge Judy; she's like a Jewish mother on steroids. This season she seems meaner, testier, a bit conceited with her "I'm the star" attitude, and not as much fun. Am I wrong?
-
Gosh, I feel like I have just been insulted ;D
-
Good evening!
-
Had a nice lunch meeting with the set designer, a nice Thai gal and she'll send me ideas this weekend. I had a salad and some eggs benedict, very good they were.
-
I picked up some packages, then came home.
-
I'd already futzed and finessed prior to leaving, and I'd done a couple of new pages. When I got home I went right to work and I've done sixteen pages so far and will probably do another ten before the night is over.
-
Watching the special on Jeopardy and Alex Trebeck.
-
Page three? Really?
-
For a few more posts.
-
And then we’ll move on.
-
Did anyone realize there actually was such a thing as "The Ray Milland Show?"
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WB8s2AXEUbY
-
One more post.
-
Four!
-
It feels like it must have been fun to pour yourself a drink or three or seven and watch The Ray Milland Show.
-
And the wacky "Anna and the King" sitcom
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fiA-fuByAc8
Slapstick and pratfalls at 0:45 when the Prince trips Louis carrying something.
I bet everyone laughed and said "That Prince Chulalongkorn, he's very like his father, a funny guy."
-

The Lost Hour
-
And Louis says "I must leave this place before he breaks my leg.'
-
No bowing like toads, but we'll all do pratfalls like Louis.

Oh, my! :o

Thanks for the link to the show.
-
Gratuitous Post #101!
-
And on that note (F-natural), I'm outta here. I'm off to my sister's for a bit. She has some cheese sauce and I bought some Bavarian pretzels from Schwan's to be dipped into said cheese sauce, so we'll both do some dipping. :D
Be back later!
-
Good night, all.
-
A long (well, it seemed long) and tiring rehearsal tonight. But a good one.
Now for three blessed days off.
-
The first time I was aware of Ray Milland was in "Love Story," and I hadn't realized when I first saw the movie how huge a star he had been, but of course he did a lot of interviews around that time.
-
Ray Milland had such a great voice. He stars in two of my favorite films, "The Uninvited " & "The Major and the Minor ".
-
'night.
-
Good evening folks
-
Good morning I suppose
-
I watched most of a movie, and then wrote quite a bit - I do believe forty pages today. I think this is going to be a very long book, but it's hard to say at this point.
-

Well, we didn't have the pretzels tonight, so we'll have them this weekend at our family dinner. I can wait.
-
However, I did have another of my sister's homemade cinnamon rolls. Yum!
-
I'm now watching Antiques Roadshow.
-
The episode is special episode from 2015 called, "Celebrating Black Americana."
-
This episode features items that have historical African American significance.
-
It's really fascinating and a few segments were quite moving.
-
Good evening.
-
Thank you all for the continued vibes for Nick, and for me.
-
Speaking of page four - what in tarnation is going on?
-
I think Nick goes into the bathroom, because he thinks I can’t hear him in there.
-
Let's get some postin' goin' on, shall we.
-
Page five? Really?
-
Rally, baby, rally.
-
Sparkle, Neely, Sparkle.
-
Five!
-
Hi, Tom and BK.
-
Hi, George.

Hey, it’s the eighth day of Christmas. I haven’t received any maids a’miliking yet. Just sayin’.
I’ve got a blonde pigtail wig and a dirndl, if that would help.

Robert Yacko watched the director's cut of The Creature Wasn't Nice and really liked it.

Hello?
-
What is this DEARTH of postings?
-
A dearth I tell you.
-
A dearth on earth.
