Well, you've read the notes, the notes searched for a title and came up with so there's that, and now it is time for you to post until the searching for a title cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: DILIGENT!
-
First post after BK.
-
I just got an e-mail from the Equivocation stage manager saying that starting at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, we have a cue-to-cue rehearsal. She also promises that "We'll be done by 6:30 at the very, very latest." :o
-
HOPEFULLY, we'll done before that! I signed up to usher for A Slice of the Good Life: The 6th Annual Pizza Klatch Gayla (https://www.washingtoncenter.org/event/20-02-01-pizza-klatch-gayla/).
-
That's always a fun event. They want 20 ushers, but unfortunately after I signed up, there are still 16 usher spots available! :-\
-
They also want six concessionaires, and so far only two have signed up. I don't know why so few are volunteering for this. Hopefully, it's not because of the event and the current political climate.
-
Hello again!
-
It's 4:20 on the East Coast and my apartment is freezing.
-
In 40 more minutes I have to take my high blood pressure meds, and I am longing to go back to bed. I guess when I get home I'll go back to bed.
-
Good morning, all.
-
Hugs and vibes, Elmore.
-
Miracle vibes, BK.
-
And all-around vibes for the rest of us.
-
I just read that another of my former publicity clients has passed away.
I represented MARJ DUSAY back in the 1970s, around the time she was playing "Mrs. MacArthur" in MacArthur (1977) with Gregory Peck.
Subsequently, she appeared on soaps, like "Days of Our Lives" and "All My Children".
R.I.P., dear Marj.
-
Vibes for DR ELMORE.
-
That's NOT a symphony that's a CONTATA.
I wish I had a nickel for every time I've said that!
-
Yes my three sisters and I had a wonderful time watching BYE BYE BIRDIE last night.....it is a funny movie - although I do like the stage version better.....there are so many contrived happenings in the movie that don't seem to fit.....
But the kid actor who plays Randolph is hilarious with the faces he makes.....and everyone is game to make it work.... I don't like Mae taking focus during KIDS and I miss all the neighbors singing in A Hymn To a Sunday Evening.....but those are small things.
And I hate that we never get to hear the entire One Last Kiss song....
-
An Unlocked Window was a big hit! Everyone was on edge....
-
My question for ASK BK DAY:
Have you seen the Alfred Hitchcock Show episode The Sorcerer's Apprentice with Mr Brandon deWilde?
-
I am home!
-
No polyps, but I do have nodules on my appendix, and Dr Finkelstein wants me to have a CAT-scan. I've had breakfast and I am very happy to be home.
-
Congrats on not having polyps.
MAYOR VIBES ON THE CAT-SCAN RESULTS!
-
I keep reading about the 20 minutes speech in the notes. Guess I need to go to archives again.
-
Hmmm, I don't see the notes for today in archives.
-
Refreshing the page updated the notes without needing to go to archives.
-
Since refreshing the page worked I returned to the column archives, refreshed it, and was also able to see today.
-
Good morning, all.
-
I didn’t even have to refresh the notes page today. It just: worked.
-
Congratulations on having that all behind you, DR Elmore!
-
So you still have your appendix. That almost seems rare in this day and age, but maybe it isn’t really.
-
I do like the BYE BYE BIRDIE movie. But when I watched it a few years ago for the first time in probably decades, I was actually shocked at all of those changes and additions. I’d forgotten about much of that. But it’s still so much fun and I love my memories of having been thrilled with it as a teen.
-
Oh yes as a teen it was the LIMIT!!!!
-
Congrats to DR ELMORE on surviving the procedure....and CAT SCAN results.
I would guess with his three house mates - he gets lots of cat scanning daily.
-
Reizenstein and Valmouth have arrived in Indiana....and the label did NOT cover the tab pull....so life is good.
-
Congrats to DR ELMORE on surviving the procedure....and CAT SCAN results.

Continually. I don't mind the scanning; it's the judging that gets to me.
-
This is a photo of the aftermath of Trump's last rally in New Jersey. I think it's a metaphor for the condition of the USA after his Reign of Terror ends.
-
Wednesday afternoon greetings! I slept quite late (for me) today and have been puttering since I finished breakfast.
-
DR Elmore, I'm glad to hear your procedure went smoothly.
-
No polyps, but I do have nodules on my appendix, and Dr Finkelstein wants me to have a CAT-scan. I've had breakfast and I am very happy to be home.
Great news about the polyps!
-
~~~Nodules on Your Appendix Vibes for Larry!!~~~
-
So you still have your appendix. That almost seems rare in this day and age, but maybe it isnt really.
I still have mine...not my tonsils or wisdom teeth, but yes to the appendix. :)
-
Good morning.
-
Glad your procedure went well, Elmore.
Maybe body parts we are missing would be a good TOD some day.
-
I gave up my tonsils at four years of age, my appendix at age eight, and my left wisdom teeth at around thirty. Still got the right ones and I’m planning on keeping them.
I gave up my tonsils at four years of age, my appendix at age eight, and my left wisdom teeth at around thirty. Still got the right ones and I’m planning on keeping them.
I got my tonsils out when I was about 26 years old. I'd heard some horror stories about adults getting them removed, but I really didn't have any trouble, at all...until I went out to eat with my family and I chose nachos. ::)
-
Crunch...crunch...swallow...SCRAPE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :o
-
:P :P :P :P
-
But it's all okay, now. :)
Great news about the polyps!
I like Dr Finkelstein a lot. He told me he had no idea what was causing the appendix to swell, and he laughed when I asked, Too many fingernails?
-
Portions of the appendix were clipped for further exam. I should hear the results in 4-6 weeks.
-
I must schedule that CAT-scan this afternoon.
-
So you still have your appendix. That almost seems rare in this day and age, but maybe it isn’t really.
Keith & I both have ours.
-
I didn't know that a colonoscopy included looking at my appendix.
I still have my tonsils and wisdom teeth. There have been many times I wished I didn't have my tonsils.
You were lucky, until eating nachos.
I would have expected that.
Good.
EXCELLENT TEST RESULT VIBES!
-
CAT-scan appointment booked. It's endless, I'm guessing 3 hours out of my day.
-
I'm in love with three dogs today at the ACC:
I had my tonsils and a deviated septum - I made the doctor promise not to reshape my nose, but now I'm not sure I was right - taken care of when I was 29. DR Ginny brought me reading material: my first Stephen King book, The Shining; it scared the hell out of me. As soon as I was back on my feet I went to the library and picked up 'Salem's Lot.
Page 3 Dance!
My question for ASK BK DAY:
Have you seen the Alfred Hitchcock Show episode The Sorcerer's Apprentice with Mr Brandon deWilde?
I've seen 'em all, I think.
-
I'm up, I'm up - almost ten hours of sleep. I was up at ten but decided I needed the sleep.
-
I still have my tonsils, appendix, and my left wisdom teeth.
-
Well this afternoon while I was watching television I heard sirens and went to investigate.
Three fire trucks and many police cars were at the intersection of my street and a cul de sac across from my back yard.
The brick house on that corner was ablaze. I watched for a bit and more trucks and police arrived..... Someone left on a stretcher....
The house is occupied by an elderly lady - this coming from me - and her son.
I put a short video on Facebook. I do not think my elderly neighbor is still among the living.
Three hours later and there are still a lot of trucks and police cars there - investigating.....
-
This is sad. I went to FB and watched your video. I expected it to be a bit closer to your home and was glad it wasn't. It was close enough.
-
When I went to FB to find DR Jrand's fire video I found the story of a man hanging onto a window of his building which was on fire.
Jeanne & Bruce, did you see the story of the Barrington Plaza Apartments fire (https://ktla.com/2020/01/29/video-shows-man-clinging-to-outside-of-barrington-plaza-apartments-as-fire-ripped-through-high-rise/?fbclid=IwAR2MKcbTURNC1gLzbeh4os8q9GUm2YF4Ivm87uZIwCpyczFnot2s_IE99_A)?
-
That fence is my backyard.....so it's across the street and diagnally from my house.....kind of like where Annette's house used to be from where MR BK lived.....
-
You normally have a nice view from your yard.
-
Congratulations, Elmore, on your test results.
-
Another long day at work.
-
Tonight is Finding Neverland.
-
Yawn.
-
Hello, everyone.
-
Congrats to Larry on his test results. Glad it's over.
There was a fire a day or two ago and may have been that one. We smelled smoke and several of us were trying to figure how where it was coming from. So much depends on the wind. It smelled like it was practically next door.
-
Well my neighbor lady Opal perished in the fire.....her son is a special needs adult and sustained some burns - he is in the hospital.
AND now I am informed that Opal was the grandmother of the wife of the son of one of my cousins.....
The things you don't know......
-
Jane, regarding the article you posted a few days ago about the ban on plastic bags being counterproductive, I agree that more plastic bags are purchased when free bags are no longer given out, but since the ban I've seen far fewer plastic bags littering the streets and sidewalks, which is a good thing. People purchase the bags to contain their trash, but they aren't strewn carelessly. They're used for a purpose. The answer, of course, is biodegradable bags. Biodegradable plastic bags exist, but are much more expensive and I doubt that many people are using them.
Crunch...crunch...swallow...SCRAPE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :o
George, didn't anyone tell you to eat Jello and ice cream?
-
I've been watching THE SILENCE, a British mini-series from 2010, where a deaf teenager witnesses a murder. It's quite good. Available on Acorn TV.
-
TTFN.
This article is dated today & it says the fire started this morning.
I hope her son will be cared for. It is interesting about the family connection. It might have been nice to know this sooner.
George, didn't anyone tell you to eat Jello and ice cream?
I did...for the first couple of days. ::) Then, everything seemed fine, so I made a choice that turned out not to be a smart one.
Live and learn. ;)
I admit our large plastic bags are not biodegradable. In fact I have never seen them for sale. I should look a bit closer. I ordered our biodegradable poop bags on line in bulk ;D
Yes, the Barrington Plaza apartments. The LA Times erroneously reported people leapt from the building - good for those clicks and shares - but no one leapt from anything.
-
Had Taco Bell for lunch - needed something quick. I was going to go to the pizza place but parking can be a trial.
:o
I wonder if a correction was part of the update in the article I posted. Thanks to the fire department no one had to leap.
LOL, kind of like DR George eating nachos. Without a sore throat I have hurt my throat on tortilla chips.
-
DR Jennifer did you snag a free, early read of "When You See Me"?
At my local eBook library I am #21 on 4 copies (ETA 11 weeks).
In Ashland I am #28 on 5 copies (ETA 12 weeks)
-
I shall now be on my way to the theater.
-
No polyps, but I do have nodules on my appendix, and Dr Finkelstein wants me to have a CAT-scan. I've had breakfast and I am very happy to be home.
Vibes for good results.
Is the CAT scan the test where the machine makes a clanging noise?
-
VALMOUTH has arrived. They say it was delivered today, bu I wonder of it really arrived yesterday.
That is an MRI.
Past time to leave work. I'm off to my sister's because she has some leftover chocolate cake and some leftover cheesecake. :D
Be back later.
Hi, I’m former Dear Reader Vixmom, anyone remember me?
-
Vacationing has been fun
-
Tonight vixdad and I went to the movies to see Jumanji, the next level which we found fun but nit as good as the original
-
This theatre served meals in the theatre...the theatre had stadium seating with wide reclining chairs and large tray tables
-
You pushed a button and the server came to you took your order and brought your meal
-
Everyone in the theatre had their meal before the show began and all though we were told we could order more during the show we did not nor did we see anyone else order during the show
-
The food was surprisingly good, w3 shared an appetizer of stuffed potato skins and then each has a burger with cheddar, jack cheese, bacon, sautéed onions and mushrooms lettuce and tomato.
( I gave vixdad my tomato)
-
The burgers were nice and thick and cooked to order
-
Oh and they came with fries
-
And I stayed awake for the whole movie
-
And we were given the senior price of $10 a ticket
-
Re missing body parts...
-
Over the years people have been paid to remove my appendix, thyroid, gall bladder three of my wisdom teeth, my four front bottom teeth and 3 molars
-
Tomorrow we are off to Universal Studios with the Vixter
-
Last night we had dinner with her and Vixhubby
-
Finding Neverland was not as bad as I remembered, which leads me to think I have the early version with the score that was replaced.
-
The audience loved it. I hated how sloppy too much of it was. “Complicated” was rhymed with “wasted.” Ugh.
-
Back from a pretty good run-through - most of the set is up now.
-
I liked the surprises :)
We have been to a theater like that but only had popcorn. The seats were incredibly comfortable.
-
Tomorrow we are off to Universal Studios with the Vixter
Have fun and say hi to the Vixter.
-
Good evening.
-
Elmore, congratulations on the positive test results.
-
Good luck on the kitty scan.
-
I had all of my wisdom teeth removed in my twenties.
-
I have both my tonsils and my appendix.
-
I have a lot of metal in my spine and titanium where my left hip used to be.
-
I have the rest of the standard equipment. Some of the parts no longer work like they used to work; but they are all still there.
-
I went to the old actor’s lunch today.
-
It was okay. Not great, but good.
-
There was no fights among the group. That was good.
-
I got several big laughs. That was really good.
-
Good night, all.
-
Hi, Tom.
-
Good night, Tom.
-
I got several big laughs. That was really good.
Very good 😊
