Well, you've read the notes, the notes were imponderable and chocolate, and now it is time for you to post until the chocolate chip cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: CONGRUENT!
-
First post after BK.
-
And a Very Happy Birthday to (former?) DR Kate, sister of our very own DR KevinH!
-
Well, I need to get to sleep. I've been looking for and downloading some more music to be used for the pre-show and/or intermission of Equivocation. I have at least tomorrow to find as much as I can because Friday, we have a production meeting/paper tech. Saturday starting at 10:00 a.m., we'll have a cue-to-cue, and even though the pre-show and intermission music won't be needed, I'm sure the director would like to hear at least some of it. I have quite a few longer pieces. I just need to cut down some of them. But first, sleep.
Have a good day, all!
-
Sleep?
-
Good morning, all.
-
Much too much work today.
-
And I have to sit for a picture, too. Not comfortable with that.
-
Good morning, all!
-
I turned off the lights and slept very well until 3:00, when I got up for a bathroom break. I had several dreams I no longer remember, but after I went back to bed I had a dream, only bits of which I remember now, that has left me feeling quite melancholy and sad this morning.
-
It was a "Big Chill" dream: I was at a Thanksgiving party somewhere outside Manhattan, and the hosts had a large white clapboard house. There were a lot of guests, all of them friends from various parts of my life. My hosts were working on some project/lecture about genetic traits and facial features among siblings and parents and children. Two of the guests were former intense romances/fantasies/loves/whatever that never worked out. I was always the bridesmaid.
The primary focus of the dream was a performer with whom I had a very tangled friemndship/romance with between 1979 and 1987 when he moved to Los Angeles. I guess I never got over it.
The other was a friend of DR Ginny's and mine from my hometown, a teacher who died from a brain turmor a year after retiring.
-
I have no idea what prompted that dream, but I'm not handling the fallout of it at all well this morning. I don't think I'm mourning what might have been. Perhaps I'm merely missing the unresolved holes they left in my life.
-
So I got up, fed the cats, petted them while they ate, made a cup of coffee, and turned on the computer.
-
I will keep busy today. I've got another orchestration to work on for my London friend Martin, and the laundry is overdue.
-
Good morning.
-
Elmore, blame it on the anesthesia.
-
DR Laura, Michael says he will see you at the stage door. I think he'll like your treats; he could use some fattening up.
-
Elmore, blame it on the anesthesia.
LOL! Now I need somethiong to settle my heart.
-
Great! I will look for a skinny man who is looking for cookies.
-
Elmore, this is a clip from the local critic's article:
"and are accompanied by a small but able orchestra under John Mezzio’s stalwart direction."
I thought our friend is the conductor ... or am I missing something?
-
He also says:
"It would be nice if this revival had a modicum of creative freshness."
Please no. I don't want to see Tevye playing the tuba.

My friend Michael Gildin is conducting. I have no idea why his name is not on the personnel list. I don't think John Mezzio is touring with the show.

Tevye and His Tuba would be a lively sequel to Fiddler.....
-
I think I used to watch Congruent when I was home from school - Hugh Downs was the host....
-
I don't know from muffins - but if they are on the markdown shelf, I buy them.
I like Banana Nut muffins - although I didn't know bananas had nuts.....I also like the orange raspberry ones.....
-
Run thru vibes for MR BK & Co.
Nice photo of the Bernstein group in the notes....is Harry in the picture?
-
The Comet Network has gotten a new batch of movies to show at 10 a.m. We used to get an occasional AIP flick from the 50's, but now they are all 80's sci fi and scare flicks with synth scores......we have seen a couple of them twice since January 1st.....
-
Two count them TWO networks had specials on Harry and Meghan last night - but I mercifully escaped them both.
-
DR ELMORE the Dream-O-Matic 6000 says that your dream indicates you are indeed exploring some unresolved issues with the folks who were present.
Coming on the heels of the knock out drops - which is akin to astral travel - you are anxious to get all unresolved issues out of your system even if they cause distress to remember.
It is of course also possible that you may hear from one or more of those people or find a communication from them that you have forgotten or misplaced.

The laundry is finished, and so am I.
-
Good morning, all.
Oops. Afternoon! What happened??
-
I slept in late on some much needed Benadryl. My runny nose had been persisting well after it should have been gone if it had been a cold, and I really started thinking I'd had a lousy allergy attack instead. So now I'm groggy but feeling better today, and we'll see what happens.
-
I hope DR Laura has a great time at Tevye and the Trapp Family Singers.
-
Tevye and His Tuba would be a lively sequel to Fiddler.....
Or spinoff from Tubby the Tuba. ;)

Yay the sun is shining today. My shoes are still wet from our walk in the pouring rain yesterday.
-
Feel better vibes for DR CHAS SMITH.
-
The house across the street has the windows on the south side boarded up - the bedroom end of the ranch house. The roof doesn't seem to be very damaged, but I imagine smoke and water damage may have ruined it.....
-
The cats rebelled as one and refused to eat their Fancy Feast chicken and liver. Damn!
-
I'm up, I'm up - got up at one after close to eight hours of sleep. I was up at seven after three hours with a horrid tummy that I know was due to bad chicken tenders that I'm sure had been sitting there all day - they didn't LOOK like they had, but I think the fowl was foul. Might try a muffin in a bit.
-

It was sprinkling a bit as I drove back to work after lunch today and I saw a bit of a rainbow. :)

:(
When we lived in Michigan for the second time the ranch home next door had a major fire. Eventually it was sold & torn down. We moved just in time before a two story home was built and we lost our back yard privacy.

Nice.

Tried the muffin. But feeling very queasy after.

A little earlier, I got a call from my mom because her TV remote didn't seem to be working anymore. My sister's boyfriend set it up for her so that she can use the cable box remote to also control her TV, but something happened and it doesn't seem to be working the way it should.
-
First, she called Comcast and what they had her do made everything go wonky, so she called me to see if I could come over and look at it. Tonight after work, I was planning on going to a run-through for Equivocation, but I said that I'd come over. So, I'll leave early from work to go to my parents' house with enough time to get to the run-through.
-
Well, about 10 minutes after I e-mailed my supervisor that I was going to leave early and use personal leave, my mom called and told me that she replaced the batteries and everything works the way it should. ::)
-
But since I put in for the couple of hours off, I'm going to go ahead and take them because my dad's computer is having some problem and maybe I can look at that, so I'll look, then go to the run-through.
-
I'll leave work in about an hour, and have a couple of hours at my parents'. That should be enough time to figure out what's going on (or not), and still be able to get to the theater.

Good luck it is an easy fix.
-
Queasy. Not eating anything else today unless I'm completely fine by the end of rehearsal.
-
The day has not enough hours.
-
The day has not enough hours.
Some days I feel it has far too many.
-
But let us move on to page 3.
-
Queasy. Not eating anything else today unless I'm completely fine by the end of rehearsal.
Vibes you feel better by then.

Page 3 Dance!
-
I'm ready to close up shop and get ready for bed. The cats and I will watch something, and turn off the lights around 9:15.

~~~Ditto!!~~~
Page three? Really?
-
Sorry to bail, but I'm off to my parents' then to the theater.
Until later.
-
I shall now be on my way to the mail place and then the theater.
-
We had a nice day with the Vixter
-
She came to our unit then we all went to universal together in our van
-
This year when we renewed our annual passes I upgraded us to “premium”
-
It includes free valet parking.
-
What a difference!
-
Not on,y do you just zip in and leave tha car for someone else to park, but you are right by the escalator leading up to the park entrance with its own private security.
-
It literally cuts about 20 -30 minutes out of getting into the park.
-
Normally valet costs $55 a time , we’ve used it 4 times this week and love it.
-
And just this week covered the cost of the upgrade.
-
We also get 15% off everything at the gift shops and restaurants and snack carts
-
There’s also free entry to various special events during the year but we probably won’t be able to take advantage of those opportunities
-
Oh and we have “express pass” privileges after 4 pm every day.
-
So by passing the regular line
-
We rode the new “Hagrid motorcycle ride” roller coaster today.
-
It’s like one of those runaway train roller coasters, lots of tight circles and swoops, byr nstead of a car you are riding a motorcycle with a side car.
-
Vixdad and I each rode the motorcycle while the Vixter opted for the side car
-
It was a tremendous amount of fun
-
It was a tremendous amount of fun
It sounds like it.
-
And the upgrade sounds well worth it.
-
Watching a real oddity. It's called Ruth the Musical. It's based on the biblical book, but it's staged in modern clothing. It seems to be America, though all of the original cities from the story are named. The characters have the same name.
-
The musical numbers are largely character monologues of the power ballad variety, and they just sort of happen. and then just go away.
-
Yet the sensibility makes aspects of the story very relevant to today, such as the attitudes toward foreigners and a rape that, while implied, has a real impact.
-
Four!
-
I have no idea who wrote this, produced it, stars in this or directed it.
-
i can't really recommend it
-
Hello, everyone.
-
Even in Florida Vixmom is the Bargain Queen!
Glad the trip is so much fun for all of you.
-
I'm suffering impeachmentitis. Some days I find it all very interesting indeed. Other days I find it quite depressing. And I'm not even watching the video; I'm just reading the text. I find that text gives me the information I need, without all the gory details. Well, usually.
-
Tomorrow I'll have acupuncture. Perhaps that will have a calming effect on my psyche.
-
Hi, John G.
-
Page 3 Dance!
My ballet teacher always used to tell us to keep our tongues in our mouths.
-
Health vibes to BK, Chas, and anyone else needing them.
-
Good night.
-
I am glad it was worth the extra money.
Hi, John G.
Hi, Jeanne.
-
Started watching Semi-Tough, which I've never seen before. I didn't realize David Merrick produced this movie. Great cast. Wish I liked it better than I do.
-
Good night, all.
-
I tried to post some pictures from today here but they’re too big...if anyone wants to do the shrinking magic and bring them over I would be quite grateful for your help!
-
TOD
I like regular sized or mini blueberry muffins and orange cranberry muffins fresh from my own oven
-
I do not care for giant muffins and I don’t like cold or reheated muffins
-
And that’s all I have to say about that
-
Oh right, muffins.
-
I like brands muffins.
-
Blueberry
-
Sour cream.
-
There is a bakery in Portland that makes delicious bread pudding muffins.
-
I am big on raspberry or muffins with nuts.
-
I once had an excellent red velvet muffin with cream cheese topping.
-
I can't recall many other combinations that were yummy.
-
Keith and I normally share a muffin. Most of the time I let him take the top and I take the rest. Every once in awhile the top is special so I keep my share if it.
-
Definitely! :D
~~~Effective Calming Vibes for Jeanne!!~~~
-
Oh, and I'm home. :)
-
Well, the run-through for the most part went well.
-
They are still calling for lines (Saturday is the last day for that) and they definitely need to pick up the pace (although I never felt that way), but it's all coming together really well.
-
I thought it was all going at a good pace, but each act lasted about an hour and a half! :o
-
That's much, Much MUCH (that's three, count 'em, THREE muches!) too long!
-
They WILL pick up the pace as the week goes on.
-
We open a week from tomorrow...actually today (Friday) because it's after midnight!
-
I need to go through all the music and make some choices for the pre-show and intermission music.
-
I was listening to some today (Thursday) at work, but I need to break up the longer suites and symphonies into their individual movements to make it easier for me to decide, and to just have more options.
-
The director, pug, gave me a couple of ideas, so I just need to find those.
-
That shouldn't be difficult, though.
-
Tomorrow, we're having a paper tech, so we'll talk through all of the tech and design elements, and I'll all all the sound cues into my script.
-
We have our big cue-to-cue and run-through and put everything on its feet.
-
That's always a bit of a train wreck, but we'll get through it.
-
I really enjoyed the run-through and can't wait till it's all put together!
-
Well, I hate to do this...no, I REALLY do...but I must go now and get some sleep. I don't know why, but it took me a long time to get to sleep last night, so I didn't get as much as I would've liked, so I'm going to try going to bed earlier this time (what a concept ;) ).
Have a good day tomorrow, all!
