Well, you've read the notes, the notes were funtabulous, and now it is time for you to post until the funtabulous cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: DEBONAIR!
-
Thanks George, the same to you.
-
Good morning, all!
-
I am off schedule. Lately, the 6:15 alarm seems way too early, and I am not happy about it. When the alarm rang, I reset it for 7:00, but the cats had me moving by 6:45.
-
DR TCB, I advise saying nothing to Tracy until the casting is posted. I hope you both get cast.
-
I am home today. I will finish "Loving You," then go through it for fixes. Before get to it, I have kitty cleanup, making the bed, feeding myself, taking trash to the basement, changing a lightbulb, and dragging out a ladder to put away cases of cat food.
-
DR Jane, the vewt will not deal with Thatch's gingivitis exam and tooth cleaning without the results of the echocardiogram because of the anesthesia. Whjen Annabelle had her dental work, I had to take her in for a blood test days before.
-
Good morning, all.
-
Late for work.
-
Kitty cleanup is accomplished, along with lightbulb change, breakfast and second cuppa coffee.
-
I checked my online bank balance and there is a trip to the bank this morning as well.
-
Good morning!
-
Monday.....Oscar telecast was tolerable, but there was too much filler and junk.....
-
There are some Oscar moments I remember that I like.....Ruth Gordon winning, Jane Fonda winning and keeping her mouth shut, Richard Dreyfuss winning, and Ingrid Bergman winning her third Oscar: "It's always nice to win....."
-
I must be completely out of the loop - who is DR FJL's brother and his wife who was Oscar nominated?
-
Good morning, all.
-
Monday morning greetings! As I promised Richard, after the kids left yesterday I gave into my tendinitis and started acting like an orthopedic patient. I've cleared what little was on my calendar for this week and am planning to do a lot of sit-down work at my desk and my crafting table.
-
I was wiped out last night, and so my apologies for not being here, but it was great to read through the postings.
-
Rob and Mary Linda arrived safely in Illinois yesterday after driving through what Rob described as "every form of precipitation known to man." They were both going to go to work today, they close on their house there tomorrow, and the truck is scheduled to arrive Wednesday.
-

Oh, my.
DR Elmore, might there be a collection of orchestrator jokes as a subset of musician jokes?? :D

I have never heard an orchestrator joke. I know a few I would consider jokes.

I hope they are both happy with their new jobs.
-
I'm back from the bank, and I need to look over this orchestration. The good ideas arrived late, and the first part needs serious reconsideration.

I thought you'd approve, DR Jane!

Mary Linda has been doing her new job for a while now as a telecommuter. Rob's job there will be similar to the one he had here, but he's glad not to work nights anymore.

True, but new locations are still somewhat different.

Our favorite waitress at Beaches has been a surrogate for us to watch her belly grow as her due date was a week after our granddaughters. Well, second baby and he has arrived early. We are honored to have received a text this morning with the exciting news & photos of the handsome eight pounder.
We figured he would be here first, still it is now doubly hard to wait for our granddaughter ;D
-
Looking over some Oscars stuff from last night, I see the Dolby Theater has a large orchestra pit. I thought they had no such thing. So why did they make a big deal out of having the orchestra play remotely from the Capitol Records building several years ago? Was that a one-time thing for some special reason? Was the pit built in more recently?
-
Those horrid Westboro Baptist Church people protested outside of Bruce and my high school this morning. Apparently the kids handled it well by carrying rainbow flags and standing strong with their multi-racial student body.
-
I forgot to say nice photos in the notes again today.
-
I had a request from my baby sister to make a tuna casserole today, and so I did......
-
I must be completely out of the loop - who is DR FJL's brother and his wife who was Oscar nominated?
I suspect he was referring to parasite.
-
TOD:
I enjoyed David Niven and the streaker.
Diana Ross singing the Theme from Mahogany
Sammy Davis Jr. and Steve Lawrence singing Not Even Nominated
James Ivory’s acceptance speech
-
I forgot to say nice photos in the notes again today.
Oops, I still need to read them.
-
Yes, the photos in the notes are nice.
-
I did some cleanup, but I'm starting to feel it's a case of washing garbage and simply making clean garbage!
I guess I will have to wait for the conductor's thoughts.
-
I just saw a photo of Billy Porter's gown. I've known him for years, but I never suspected that Hollywood would liberate the inner drag queen.
-
It was in need of liberating?
-
It was in need of liberating?
I had never heard anything about his flair for frocks!
-
TOD - I loved the year “Be Our Guest” was nominated for best song and Jerry Orbach sang as Lumiere.
-
Ah DR VIXMOM I was just being too literal today....of course.
-
I am getting my hair cut today so I won't look like Larry Howard at my routine doctor's appt. tomorrow.
-
Those horrid Westboro Baptist Church people protested outside of Bruce and my high school this morning.
Boo! >:(

Hoo and Ray! :D

Ditto and Ditto!!

I think Kinky Boots did that for him...Hollywood just gave him a large audience. ;)
-
I'm up, I'm up - eight-and-a-half hours of sleep. Was up at five for a couple of hours.

Patrick Regan, who was the first AD and co-producer of The Creature Wasn't Nice has passed.

First review of In My Mind's Eye. What's fascinating and that I knew would happen is that he credits the play with the device of having the two actors playing the same role onstage at the same time. None of that is in the play, that was how I decided to make sure the audience always had clarity about the device. :) Still, a very good review for all concerned.

Billy Porter had a purple ensemble for the after party that was fun.

Excellent! May they all be as good.

Long day. Too many meetings. Too much juggling.
-
Been reading Gowns by Roberta right before bed. It’s worming its way into my dreams.
-
Let’s move on ...

Three!

That's great, BK! Congrats to you and Doug and the cast!
-
Bruce do you remember what the ingredients were in the Shirley Temple's at your father's restaurant? I recall they were very good.
-
Don't remember and I don't think I ever had one.
-
Had a nice lunch with Grant Geissman and we discussed the design of the new book, so I'll start scanning some images for use - we went to Casa Vega. Then I picked up some packages and then came home and had a long telephonic conversation with an old friend.
-
Don't remember and I don't think I ever had one.
Darn. I wanted to know if it was with 7-Up, which I believe it was, or Ginger Ale.
-
I generally drink Shirley Temples when I go to work parties
They have always been made with ginger ale, a splash of grenadine and a maraschino cherry
-
I finished Where'd You Go, Bernadette? tonight. I'm glad I did. It was a very different being from the book, much more human and, in the end, affecting. The second half of the film was better than the first. Not all of it works, but it was worth watching.
-
But I'm done for.
-
Good night, all.
-
Goodness gracious page three at 12:31 tomorrow?
-
I have very little to share
-
We have been watching a British police series on Amazon prime
-
It’s called Scott and Bailey
-
It’s about two female Homicide detectives.
-
Their head of department is also a woman
-
It’s a refreshing change
-
We are on the second season now
-
It has been raining all day today
-
Fortunately so far the rain has stayed outside
-
Where in the world is everybody?
-
Aren’t the theatres closed on Mondays?
-
I have to go to sleep
-
So that I can wAke up and go to work
-
Tonight for dinner I made stuffed peppers
-
I used sweet red bell peppers
-
They came out really well
-
And since I had nearly three pounds of chopped meat I had need up making 8 peppers
-
So we’ll be eating them all week
-
I wonder if you freeze them if they would taste alright when they were thawed....
-
Well at least no one can say we didn’t get to page four
-
I’ve seen frozen stuffed peppers in the freezer section of the grocery
-
So maybe it would work....
-
Does anyone else make stuffed peppers?
-
What is your recipe?
-
Elmore I was very sorry to hear about Rebecca’s health issues
-
BK. Am sorry for the loss of your friend, Patrick
-
Healing vibes for Ginny
-
Health vibes for little Thatch
-
Does anyone else make stuffed peppers?
I don't.
-
Oh and here’s a handy tip for those of you cooking with cast iron Dutch ovens
-
Potholders should be used for grabbing the non insulated handles
-

I keep reading this but am sure it was 7-up that I preferred. I do see 7-up or ginger ale in recipes.
-
As my left hand will evidence
-

Oh no, what did you do?

I’ve never had it with 7up I don’t know that I would care for that
-
As my left hand will evidence
Ouch. I hope it isn't too bad.

It was how I made them at home. I need a taste comparison.

Ouch. I hope it isn't too bad.
Fortunately I let go quickly , no blister but there is a red line that’s tender
-
The last few years I have found them too sweet and stopped ordering them.
-

Held some ice cubes for a little while

Not too bad, still since it is your hand watch carefully for an infection.
-
Page four? Really?
-
I've been entering fixes.
-

When I go to bars now I generally get nonalcoholic beer or cider but for work affairs I stick to Shirley Temples
-
I used to be able to get O’Doul’s, which is my preferred non alcoholic beer, but lately all the bars seem to be switching to Heineken 0
-

We had company once and our friend burned her hand on her flat iron. She went running into the kitchen yelling and grabbing butter for her burn. Once I figured out what she was doing I grabbed the butter from her and got some ice. I was shocked to find anyone still used butter for a burn.
-
My non alcoholic drink is usually water.
-
Page four? Really?
Hey we’re doing our best
-
When you go to a club there is often a two drink minimum, non alcoholic beers count, water doesn’t
-
Ah, th3 Luis Enrique page five
-
Thank you spellcheck
-
As I was saying...
-
Ah, the elusive page five
-
Luis Enrique.... pshaw
-
Now of course Luis will show up and scold me for my rudeness
-
Let him
-
See if I care!
-
It’s nearly two am
-
My work here is done
-
Good night all
-
Buenas noches, Luis
-

I rarely go to clubs. With a 2 drink minimum at least one of those would be alchohol.
-
Goodnight.
-
I wonder if you freeze them if they would taste alright when they were thawed....
What do you put in the stuffing for the peppers. My sister always used half of it for the peppers, and the other half for Spanish rice.
-

On the Wast Coast, I think it was always 7-Up.
-

What is your recipe?
My mom has made them. I don't know what her recipe is...she might not even know. She tends to be the kind of cook who just throws things together and it (usually) turns out.
-
I used to be able to get O’Doul’s, which is my preferred non alcoholic beer, but lately all the bars seem to be switching to Heineken 0
Because O’Doul’s does contain some alcohol.
-
Hi, Tom.

Yikes!! :o

The Washington Center once got a case of O'Doul's as part of a performer's rider, but the performer (I don't know who it was) never drank any of it. They just left it in the dressing room, so the house manager said that we could sell it in concessions. Well...we put those cans out for almost a whole year and they NEVER sold! None of the volunteers or paid staff wanted to take any of it home either, so they finally just dumped it all down the sink and recycled the cans. There really wasn't anything else that they could do. :-\

Hello, George.
-
Good night, George.
