I must leave here no later than 8:45 to get to my accountant's office by 10, via two buses. After that, I will go to City Center and watch the afternoon dress rehearsal of Mack & Mabel. The kitties' dinners will be late tonight.

I also need a loaf of bread that I cannot get at the Goodwill OR the bank....so another stop is a necessity.
-
I got MANY items from Newspapers.com about Miss Frances Farmer.....including that she was a special guest at the opening of a luxury hotel/apartment complex in downtown Indianapolis in late 1964....and at the end of the evening she lead the owners, developers, and tenants in a rousing version of "Downtown.!

I doubt that it looked like this.

Good morning, all.
-
Actually, is it still morning?
Yes. Yes, it is.
I was up at dawn’s crack to drive Nathan to the airport, and just got back. And in a little while I must go play in a Willy Wonka rehearsal. Doesn’t all of that sound like fun?
-
DR CHAS SMITH you need to practice saying: I want it NOW!
-
I found a nice chess set with wooden pieces and a sturdy board. It was marked 98 cents - but it was a green label - so it was 50 cents..... AND all the pieces were there!
-
TOD:
The Major and the Minor: Rogers, Milland
I love watching this movie and these two actors.

Tuesday afternoon greetings! We've just had our furnace guys here to see if that's the source of the noises we've heard off and on all morning. It's not (whew!) and I think it's something going on in the neighborhood, like water main drilling or some such. We can't see anything, but it could be a block away.
-
Later today we have an errand to do for Rob and Mary Linda in the vicinity of their old house, so we're going out to eat afterwards. I'm going a little stir crazy.

That's a relief.

I've been home for about an hour. After my taxes were finished, I called Joshie and told him I was not up to the dress rehearsal, caught the No 7 bus and came home. I've been napping for the past hour.

DR George, thanks for the pronunciation tip! Where was our DR TCB last night?
Hopefully, he's well and was just sleeping.

That's pretty cool, Jrand!

Thanks George. After my check-up my doctor's assistant called with my test results. She mentioned the doctor offered a chest x-ray. I said I needed to think about it. I have had so many x-rays due to all of my injuries I hesitated. I figured I should do it before we go to Chicago and called the office back & told her where I wanted it done. So far no one has called me to schedule it.

Good evening.
-
I fell asleep last night during THE BIG BANG THEORY, and that was it for the night.
-
I will try to catch up on yesterday.’s posts.
-
Oh, and probably today’s posts (there aren’t many here).
-
One more post.

Page Three!

Hello
-
It was a busy day
-
The Lowes guy had to come by today and measure to see if the dishwasher we chose would fit
-
He told me they would be here between 10 and 2. I explained I work 2 blocks away and he should call me when he was on his way
-
So he called at 9:30 to tell me he was on his way to a call about 20 minutes from my house and I would be next So I asked him to call me when he left that call
-
He called o say he was on his way so I waited 10 minutes then went home (which took3 minutesfrom desk to opening my door )
-
Then I waited 20 minutes for him to show up
-
I finally called him and he said he'd be there "soon"
-
It was another 10 minutes.
-
He obviously lied and called me before he started his other appointment
-
I had planned to give the guys each a tip but I was too annoyed at losing my lunch hour instea of jus having a few minutes out of the office as planned so they got nothing
-
In abundance
-
So what you’re saying is, they got plenty of nuthin’.
-
They were here for a grand total of 4 minutes
-
Then I vamoosed back to my office
-
So what you’re saying is, they got plenty of nuthin’.
Exactemente
-
The rest of the day flew by though as I had some interesting work to deal with
-
With which to deal?
-
Then after work I had to go to Lowes to finalize the paperwork for the dishwasher
-
When I got there there was no one in the appliance department
-
there is a button to push that causes an overhed announcement "service needed at the appliance counter"
-
After three pages it stops
-
So then I had to hit the reset button and hit the page button again
-
After three times I settled myself comfortably in the sales associates chair took out my phone and called the store and asked for a manager
-
While continuing to reset and set off the page button
-
Yes I was a thing of joy
-
While I was still on hold for the manager the appliance guy finally showed up
-
I had been there over a half hour
-
If I hadn't already paid for the measurement thing I would have left
-
The appliance guy was having trouble with the computers so he called for backup
-
This guy showed up right away and we looked at each other and both of us had that " where do I know you from" look on our faces
-
And suddenly it hit me
"Kyle and Elisha's Dad!"
-
Twins who went to school with the Vixter from kindergarten through high school graduation
-
Light dawned and he said" Vickys Mom!"
-
And then we spent the next 15 minutes catching up on where the kids were now
-
Light dawned and he said" Vickys Mom!"
That's pretty cool, Vixmom. Too bad about ALL the waiting that you had to do, though.
-
So they was nice.
-
He also set me up with all the stuff for the dishwasher, and found a rebate form so we'll get free installation
-
We ended up choosing black stainless steel so its special order so we won't probably see it until the second week of March
-
Well, I've been at work for FAR too long, so I'm leaving and heading out. I need to stop off at the local Mud Bay Pet Store and get some cat food for my niece's new cat (I forget his name). He wouldn't eat any food that my niece has, so I brought over one can of everything that I had, and one Ziploc baggie of the dry stuff that I give Neve. He gobbled up the dry, so I'm going to get some more of that. I don't remember what it is, but I remember what the bag looks like, so I have to get it.
Be back later!
-
Then I went to the supermarket
-
There are signs all over that say effective March 1 it will be illegal for retailers to provide single use plastic bags on New York State
-
I somehow missed hearing anything about this law, although for the past couple of years my county has imposed a 5 cent fee for every plastic bag
-
I've been using reusable bags for years anyway
-
But I digress
-
What I really wanted to tell you that I have finally found the elusive dessert.
-
Yes, the almost mythical dessert, celebrated near and far...
-
Breyers frozen peppermint hot chocolate icecream!
-
AND it was on sale! $2.88 for a half gallon and an addition $1 off if you bought 2
-
Which I did
-
It is delicious
-
In other myleft wrist is quite painful
-
About a month ago I took a tumble on the sidewalk and
i threw my left hand out and it the brunt of my weight when I fell
-
It's been aching ever since but was finally feeling much better
-
So yesterday I decided it was time to fall over and catch myself with the same hand
-
I really jammed the wrist good this time
-
it would be nice if I could stop falling over
-
I blame my progressive lenses
-
But it could just be my superb sense of clumsiness
-
Well I've been babbling on long enough
-
Goodnight
-
DR John how is your mother doing?
I haven't had a chance to talk with her this week. I haven't even had time for lunch. Maybe I can call tomorrow.
-
I've got The Gondoliers on. Not my favorite Gilbert and Sullivan, but this production is well sung. I'm not going to get through Act 1 tonight, though.
-
It's been a busy evening.
-
I need to get to bed.
-
Good night, all.
-
I fell asleep last night during THE BIG BANG THEORY, and that was it for the night.
I am glad you were sleeping.
-
Then I waited 20 minutes for him to show up
😖
-
He obviously lied and called me before he started his other appointment
>:(
-
I had planned to give the guys each a tip but I was too annoyed at losing my lunch hour instea of jus having a few minutes out of the office as planned so they got nothing
I doubt he expected a tip just for measuring it. Did you Express your displeasure?
-
If I hadn't already paid for the measurement thing I would have left
You had to pay for that. :o
-
And then we spent the next 15 minutes catching up on where the kids were now
At least something nice happened.
-
He also set me up with all the stuff for the dishwasher, and found a rebate form so we'll get free installation
Yay.
-
We ended up choosing black stainless steel so its special order so we won't probably see it until the second week of March
That sounds pretty.

Breyers frozen peppermint hot chocolate icecream!
I hope you like it better than I liked the brand I tried.
-
It is delicious
You did :)
-

Oh no.
-
Wrist vibes for Vixmom.

And I'm back...but I didn't make it to the pet food store.
-
It turns out that they close earlier than I thought. ::)
-
SPOO!!
-
So, I'll go tomorrow, which is fine with my niece.
-
I'm now watching episode 5 of Doctor Who.
-
I somehow missed hearing anything about this law, although for the past couple of years my county has imposed a 5 cent fee for every plastic bag
When plastic bags were outlawed here, all the stores started charging 5¢ for the big paper grocery bags when they never charged for any paper bags before. I never understood that!
-
I've been using reusable bags for years anyway
Most people do, nowadays (a Chicago reference ;) ).
-
Breyers frozen peppermint hot chocolate icecream!
Oh, my goodness! That sounds wonderful. ;D
-
AND it was on sale! $2.88 for a half gallon and an addition $1 off if you bought 2
Nice! I love it when that happens!
-
Which I did
But, of course!
-
PAGE SIX DANCE!!
-
So yesterday I decided it was time to fall over and catch myself with the same hand
I really jammed the wrist good this time
NOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :o
-
Wrist vibes for Vixmom.
~~~SUPER DITTO!!~~~
-
DR George, thanks for the pronunciation tip! Where was our DR TCB last night?
Sleeping! It is pronounced Pew-Al-Up
-
Oh, my! A previously recurring character from past seasons of Doctor Who has returned! :D
-
The money is split between the store (to pay for the paper) and the other half to the city or county.
-
When the plastic ban goes statewide next year, the paper bags will cost you 8 cents.
-
The idea is to get you to use reusable bags instead of buying the paper bag.
-
We are still using plastic bags in Puyallup.
-
I have quite a few canvas bags.
-
Goodnight, one and all.
-
Good night, Tom.
-
If I hadn't already paid for the measurement thing I would have left
You had to pay for that. :o
Oh the twins dad also gave me a credit for the $35 visit today
I just read that they are going to do that here too. It’s to be encourage everyone to just bring their own bags. When they started charging 5 cents for plastic bags suddenly everyone was bringing their own bags into the stores, so it definitely works
Why, you may ask, am I awake and posting at 2:43 am when the alarm will sound at 7 am?
Good question
If anyone has an answer please write it on the back of a $100 bill and send it to...
