Also, I've discovered that even though iTunes on the computer is now screwed up, if you search on your hard drive for a song title, it will turn up and you can access the folder in which the song exists.

I slept poorly.  I was up too many times.  I'm having a lot of anxiety over my health and finances.  Although I'm getting a nice IRS refund, I have to survive until it arrives, and the BIG BLOCK is that damned Ohio property tax check of nearly $800 that is eating up the money I have.  Sometimes I think being dead is easier.

But if I were dead, I would not be seeing Mack & Mabel today, and I am looking forward to it since I missed Tuesday's rehearsal.  Joshie was able to get me a comp ticket, so I'm really grateful for that.

She's been going through issues as well.  Her husband Mark is still in hospital abd she's running from pillar to post.  Yesterday I lent her a calculator to do her taxes.

Well, two days ago, I took a loaf of bread out of the freezer to thaw.  Today, I don't know where the fat hell it can be!  I know the cats have been playing on the stove and refrigerator while I'm out and I'm wondering if they knocked it behind the refrigerator, where I will never be able to get to it.

Very good! I thought I had it on LP but that must have been years ago so I got the CD, which I would have done anyway at some point.

I thought Mack & Mabel was really quite wonderful, one of the best Encores! presentations.  The lack of enough rehearsal time occasionally showed in less inspirational moments in the staging, but the cast was wonderful, the orchestra glorious, and I would love to see it one more time.

After the show I dragged DR vixmom and former DR Ben while I said howdy to friends inb the lobby.  Joshie showed up to see where I was sitting and check on me.  Then DR vixmom and Ben and I went to the corner coffee shop for some dinner.  When I last saw them, they were heading south for DR vixmom to check the half-price booth for a show tonight.

Friends in LA that heard from other friends that we are grandparents have been congratulating us.  We also received a card in the mail today congratulating us on our granddaughter.   :) :)

I finished proofing the book - the perfunctory proof I call it, just looking for the easy-to-spot crap of which there was a lot because of the nature of a book of lyrics.  So, I have seven typed double-spaced pages of those fixes and usually it's just moving a line onto a new page or an indent or something simple like that.  Now, I'll go through it again for other stuff.  I really do have to carefully proof each lyric because the proofers don't know them and wouldn't necessarily spot a mistake - early on I found three lyrics where I'd left out several lines in each.  So, must do that.  The prose has been carefully proofed and I'm not concerned about that, so I'll just give those  sections a once-over for bad breaks and stuff like that.

I'm glad Rare Tracks was so interesting that not a single person can find the damn thing.  And no, I cannot retrieve it from iTunes - it's IN iTunes as Sound Designer filled which, iTunes, in all their wisdom, doesn't recognize anymore.  I have no back-up as old as when iTunes did.
