Well, you've read the notes, the notes were done with Hunters and mostly ME, and now it is time for you to post until the cows come home - they had a MOO day.
-
And the word of the day is: TRENCHANT!
-
First post after BK.
-
Today's going to be a day! First Frozen, then we go to the Ignight Seattle event. I don't know exactly what it's about, but my friend David (who got us the tickets) is pretty excited about it.
-
I hope that I'll be able to check in every once in a while today. I don't know exactly what we'll be doing between the shows, other than eating and meeting with David.
-
And now, I'm off to bed.
Have a good day, all!
-
Good morning, all!
-
DR George, enjoy your day.
-
This morning I see a new doctor, Lenny Glickman. I hope this goes well.
-
It wasn't a bad night of sleep, sort of the current status quo.
-
DR JohnG, I had planned on watching Sanditon last Sunday, when my surprise brunch on the fifth floor changed my plans. It's on my agenda now for the weekend, along with making a vat of vegetable soup.
-
If I get really enthusiastic about cooking, I may stir up some chili as well.
-
So the Orange Slug squatting in the White House, who is already dismantling the CDC and cut funding for handling health crises, has appointed Mike Pence, science denier and over-the-top Christian jerk, to save the US from the corona virus? We're all gonna die.
-
I need to plan my itinerary to the East Side. I don't think I can do it on two buses.
-
Good morning, all.
-
Back to the grind, with a couple of errands I must run this morning and a Willy Wonka rehearsal this afternoon.
-

This is never a bad thing.
-
Best of luck with the other doctor today, DR Elmore!
-
So far, I’ve had one friend here speak enthusiastically about Hunters. But I don’t know if he’s watched much beyond the first episode. And he wouldn’t be watching with anything approaching a critical eye. I’m thinking of giving it a try, but I know that once it goes south on me I’ll drop it.
-
Good morning, all.
-
Tom, the Chinese film has nothing to do with Eugene O’Neill except for the title — and maybe the length.
-
Good morning
-
Kitty cleanup is over. I think I will make the bed and take a bath.
-
Doctor visit vibes for DR ELMORE.
-
Thanks to DR GEORGE for the photos of his work space.....night lamp....it looks almost like a medical lamp....
-
We have The Good Feet stores here in Indiana, too. There commercials are annoying.
-
The new Blithe Spirit looks amusing. I do like the play a lot.
-
I think they used a lot of trenchants during WWI - the big one.
-
I shall have to consider the TOD.....I usually don't stick around if I don't like something.....I recently bailed on The Outsider after two episodes.
I also bailed on a few of the American Horror Story seasons.....in fact the last one I watched from beginning to end was Freak Show...
-
Ultrasound done. Waiting for the doctor.
-
Two!
-
The last two days have been medical and dental filled.
-
It froze here overnight.
-
Thursday morning greetings!
The last two days have been medical and dental filled.
This is the first day this week that one of us has NOT had that sort of appointment scheduled. Richard had a routine visit with our family doctor on Monday, I had my six-month dental check-up on Tuesday, and saw the orthopedist yesterday.
So what are we going to do today?
Go to the eye doctor’s office to pick up Richard’s new glasses.
-
Doctor visit vibes for DR ELMORE.
DITTO!
-
GOOD NEWS VIBES FOR DR JOHN!
-
T.O.D.
Why would I remember them?
If I'd started to watch, I would have turned it off after the first episode or so.
;)
-

I am home from my appointment. I left the apartment around 10:00. Because I was walking in so much pain, I decided to take a taxi. After I saw the doctor I walked to Madison Avenue in pain for an uptown bus and couldn't find the bus stop, and took a taxi home. I got out of the taxi and walked with no pain. Go figure.
-
I got there so early that I figured I'd nap until the 11:30 appointment. Instead Dr Glickman said My schedule's easy today and I saw him at around 10:45. I was out of there by 11:30. He's sending me for an MRI next Tuesday to get a closer look at the kidney.

Great getting in early. That rarely happens.

Thanks, Larry! I am!

Probably...but after only one day, I'm liking it. :)

Well, it's intermission at Frozen, and it's good...loud, but good.
-
They just dimmed the lights, but here's where we're sitting:
-
:D
-
Be back later!
-
They just dimmed the lights, but here's where we're sitting:
Enjoy the Frozen.
-
I'm up, I'm up - got up at eleven-thirty after about eight hours of sleep, but have been dealing with a lot of stuff ever since. Grant was supposed to be here at three, but that hasn't happened and I doubt we'll do anything today as he knows I have a rehearsal at six - infuriating, actually.
-
Closing shop for the night. We'll watch a couple of episodes of Sanditon and go to bed.
-
I just read that Peter Saide died, only 36. He was the sheriff in a Desperate Measures that a few of us went to see last year.
-
I looked him up. To die at 36 is very sad :(
-
Hello, everyone.
-
Vibes to DRs John G, Elmore, Jennifer, Ginny, and anyone else who needs them.
-
I've never heard of the Good Feet store, but I'll definitely look them up. Thanks for mentioning them, Tom.
-
I finally got to the car wash today. My car was filthy. I've been trying to get there for ages, but one thing after another conspired against it. They gave me an unexpected $4.85 discount. Apparently, it was a senior discount. I didn't know they offered one. I guess I must be showing my age. As much as I like all the discounts I'm not sure it's a good trade-off.
-
Then I drove to the jeweler for a new watch battery. Still the cheapest place in town. From there to my favorite food store. I have a surgery scheduled in a couple weeks and I need to stock up on easy foods that I can freeze.
-
I have been sleeping sooo much better lately, but it still doesn't feel like it's enough. Does one ever really catch up on all that lost sleep? I really appreciate the extra energy, though.
-
TTFN.

I am always shocked they don't automatically offer me a senior discount & figure they are trying to get out of it.

I have yet to catch up on my lost sleep.

Grant finally showed up and we got the final set of corrections in the book. He also fixed the page numbering issues, so I can now give the book a final once-over. Tomorrow we put in the rest of the photos and then he can get the cover done, since we now have all those components, including the flap copy.

DR Jane asked:
Do you have a bruise?
I don't know. It felt sore. But I can't really see anything as it's on the back of my shoulder. It is pretty good right now. Just can't really lift anything as it hurts to do so.
-
Better the back of the shoulder than the front, and not having a bruise is also a good sign it isn't too bad. I am glad it is continuing to improve.
-
I was shocked to open an email from my local library changing how eBooks will be changing the check out process next month. Currently books on hold are automatically checked out when they become available. I like this system as I don't always have access to wifi, especially when we travel.
-
With the new system I will have 3 days to check out the book once it becomes available, or I can request a delay for 7 or more days.
-
If I don't respond by the end of the 3 days the book will go back into hold for 7 days.
-
If I don't respond the second time my book hold will be cancelled :(
-
So the new keurig arrived today ....
-
We started it going and suddenly the same electrical burning smell was back
-
Vixdad took apart the electrical socket and found that we had a fault that was causing the plastic to be burning and melting
-
We’re lucky the hasn’t gone up in flames
-
Vixdad changed out the socket
-
The smell is gone
-
Too bad the old keurig is too
-
Very scary story, Vixmom. Glad all is OK.
-
I finished Margaret Atwood's The Testaments today. It's her sequel to The Handmaid's Tale. Very surprising book with a most richly satisfying ending. And the flashes of her sense of humor are truly funny.
-
Rehearsal number two was fun. Now, relaxing.
-
San Francisco weather for next week is nicer than it is San Antonio. Highs in the 60s, lows in the 50s and upper 40s with no rain. I hope that stays that way.
-
It meaning the forecast.
-
Sanditon is coming to a close.
-
On the last episode.
-
Even though it's past my bedtime.
-
I can sleep at work tomorrow.
-
I don't really mean that.
-
Sort of.
-
Let's move on ...
-
Four!
-

Tomorrow we put in the rest of the photos and then he can get the cover done, since we now have all those components, including the flap copy.
That's great news. I know this book has been a greater challenge than fiction.
-
Slow night here.
-
Yet what is this page four malarkey?
-
Or this page four malarky? If you prefer.
-
Underpants!
-
Cranberries!
-
Spoo!
-
Due to the tragic lowness of my brow
-
All music that's high brow gets me upset.
-
Each time I hear a strain of Stravinsky's
-
I had Taco Bell for a quick lunch - not much of it either, so I'm now eating a rather obscene amount of cherry chocolate chip ice cream, and I don't care who knows it.
-
I hurry to Minsky's and try to forget.
-
I don't like Schubert's music or Schumann's
-
I'm one of those humans
-
That only goes in for Berlin and Vincent Youmans.
-
I'm for the guy that eludes
-
Bach sonatas and Chopin preludes
-
So, when some nice man I meet
-
I always murmur tout suite
-
If you want to thrill me and drill me for your crew
-
Sing me a melody
-
That's Red, Hot and Blue!
-
Thank you, Cole Porter.
-
We started it going and suddenly the same electrical burning smell was back
Oh no!
-
Too bad the old keurig is too
:(
-
At least the new Keurig wasn't damaged.
-

Good luck it does.
-
We had another beautiful sunny, in the 50's day.
-
Alas, the rain is returning tomorrow.
-
All music that's high brow gets me upset.
;D
-
Page 5 🎉
-
I fell asleep
-
Now I’m awake
-
But I must get me back to sleep
-
Yes you should.
-
The last two days have been medical and dental filled.
“...dental filled.” Hahaha! I get it.
-
Tom, the Chinese film has nothing to do with Eugene O’Neill except for the title — and maybe the length.
Thank goodness.
-
We must carry on.
-
And quick.
-
#130
-
I have nothing to say.
-
Nicky used to always want his dinner at 1:30 pm.
-
During the last six months he has been wanting his food later and later.
-
The other day I kept asking him again and again if he wanted to eat, but he wasn’t interested. Later that night he was crying and howling, and I couldn’t figure out why.
-
Finally, he went to bed. When I was turning off the lights for bed, I saw the kitchen light was still on. Whoops! I never did give Nicky his dinner. Oh-oh!
-
I'm home.
-
Hi, Tom.
-
I went out to turn off the kitchen light, and I found he had left me a present in the living room. Two big poop nuggets artistically arranged on the carpet.
Never, never, piss of your kitty about food!
-
Both Margo and I thought that Frozen was really good.
-
What was the other event you attended?

Oh, no!
-
Neve will sometimes leave poops on the stairs because she wipes her butt on the steps to remove poops that are stuck. :o
-
What was the other event you attended?
It's valled Ignight Seattle. A dozen people give five minute talks with slides, like very short TED Talks.
-
This was the website for tonight's event: https://townhallseattle.org/event/ignite-41/
-
Actually, here's the website for the organization: https://igniteseattle.com/
-
I don’t even know where Town Hall is located.
-
I’m off to read. Good night, George.
-
I don’t even know where Town Hall is located.
I didn't either, but Google Maps took us right too it. We were able go park one block away, and I only had to pay $9.75 for 2 hours and 45 minutes for the street parking. ::)

I’m off to read. Good night, George.
Good night, Tom.

-
It was a long and fun day.
-
I got to visit a bit with my friend David, so that was fun.
-
The only real problem was that the parking ticket for Frozen that David got for me didn't work, and I had to pay $18 to leave the parking garage! :P
