Well, you've read the notes, the notes spoke of Kritzerland at Vitello's 104, and now it is time for you to post until the 104 cows come home.

I am back for the moment.

They had a story on the local news about the nursing home in Kirkland where the four people have tested positive for the CoVid 19. There are signs all over the place that say “No Visitors Allowed”. They interviewed a woman who had just gone in to visit her mother.  She said, “Well, the doors weren’t locked.”

Some people are really stupid.

I'm sorry about Mayor Pete's dropping out.  I was pretty sure that he would not get the nomination, but he sure had a lot of class and savoir faire that some of the others did not.  His career's not over yet.  I do not think the abrasive Amy Klobuchar will get the nod; but if she does, I'll vote for her.  I'd vote for anyone or anything running against the Fat Orange Slug squatting in the White House.

OMG! Jason Graae is finally showing his age!  I thought he'd always look young.  I first saw him perform at CCM as Pangloss in Candide around 1978, and I first met him in 1985 when we worked on the workshop for Tales of Tinseltown.

I had earlier seen him and Liz Callaway (I think) in the CCM chorus of A Little Night Music, a truly dreadful production.  All I remember of it now is Faith Prince as Anne belting high C-sharps and looking woefully miscast.

It appears that one of my publishers is closing its doors, leaving me with a supply of some of my book titles.

Thus, I will be offering SIGNED COPIES of these books during the next few weeks.

NOBODY DROWNS IN MINERAL LAKE was my first novel:

From its first page, readers are caught in a murder mystery that twists and turns through the highways leaving Seattle, to the back roads of Eastern Washington.

16 years have passed and Jay Barnett returns to the resort town of Mineral Lake with his five year old son only to find open hostility, anti-Semitism, and terror. Set in Washington State, this mystery/thriller was inspired by true events which the author masterfully weaves into a shocking story of murder and kidnapping in a community lost in its prejudicial values. Characters crackle with emotion while they play a dangerous game of cat and mouse. Jay Barnett eventually learns the lesson "IT'S DANGEROUS TO GO HOME AGAIN."

Sherlock Holmes Fans, will enjoy this book since Basil (Rathbone) and his classic Sherlock Holmes movies, are key elements in the story.

The price of this softcover novel is $10.00 (including shipping within the USA).

Contact me, so that we can tell me to whom you want the book signed, and we can arrange payment (by check or PayPal).

Monday afternoon greetings!  One of my ladies' groups meets today and another tomorrow - must be the first of the month.  I've adopted an every-other-day schedule of wearing my boot, so Richard will drop me off at Patty's today.  I'll probably be able to get a ride home or he'll come and pick me up.  That means that tomorrow I'll be able to drive myself to the DAR luncheon - if my car starts after not being driven now for almost 4 weeks.

Dionne Warwick was really good.   I wasn’t expecting much since I’ve seen recent clips of her not sounding too great.  She performed at Cleopatra’s Barge in Caesar’s Palace, which only seats about 175.  We were about 8 feet away from her.  My friend paid extra for the meet and greet opportunity and got a nice photo with her.

Pia sounded good and was a lot of fun. She told some amusing stories about Sinatra and others and showed clips of her appearances on TV and in a Naked Gun movie.  It was a full show.  An older singer named Sonny Charles also performed and sounded great.  Last but not least we saw a drag Liza.  Pia took photos with us and even gave us her new CD ( Todd has asked her about it).  We had arrived at about 7:40 pm.  The show began just before 9 and wasn’t over till about 11:30.  There was a break for about 20 minutes.   It was such a fun night !

We are home from the vet, poorer by $200 (vet costs and two taxi rides).  Dr Mohr looked at a slide from Annabelle's runny nose.  She says it's not an allergy, and most likely a virus.  I have an antibiotic and eye drops to dose her.

I like MR BK's recording - but I think my favorite thing about that show was when Ed Sullivan introduced Dolores Gray and declared that she was now "starving on Broadway in Sherry!"

A definite desert island disc for me.

I am very proud of this recording.  I think it's one of the few where I have no problems with anything I wrote.  There are many tracks on other recordings I would love to have another crack at.

No Grant yet.  No happy yet.  Sadly typical but I guess we'll still have to wait and see.  I'd text him, but I think even if he was intending to come then he wouldn't.

I don't recall if I shared this link for tracking the locations of the virus around the world.  It is from Johns Hopkins.

I have mentioned I have had to deal with extended periods of time when I could not get to the market.  These were usually due to weather conditions or sick children, one after the other and then me.  I learned to keep a supply of certain foods & products.  One of those is toilet paper which Keith finds a bit annoying.

Guess what the news says the stores are currently out of, toilet paper ;D

Costco said it is the first time they have ever sold out of toilet paper.

No Grant and I'm kind of furious about it, because he knew how important this was to me and he kind of led me to believe he'd do it today.  So, being proactive, I've just sent everything to Doug and he's going to have to do it.  He conveniently forgets that he actually had to do it on GEE and I've sent him that folder that he created.

Just got the predictable text that he's out of time.  Not happy and he knows it.  He suggested I wait ten days - not a big deal, says he, but it wouldn't be ten it would be fifteen and then twenty and I'm not doing it.  Doug put together the cover for GEE and it was fine.

Title: Re: KRITZERLAND AT VITELLO'S 104

My neighbor went to Costco (Marina del Rey store) this morning and told me that the store was mobbed at 10:30, much like the Culver City DMV, he said, with lines snaking around the building. Apparently it was panic shopping for yes, TP and hand sanitizer and such. Said neighbor has only lived in California and has never witnessed true pre-storm shopping frenzy. Pre-storm frenzy, of course, is for milk and TP. Perhaps it's time that Californians experience neuroses from other parts of the US.
