Well, you've read the notes, the notes were obscure and excellent and on a variety of subjects, and now it is time for you to post until the obscure and excellent cows come home.

And the word of the day is: CACOETHES!
-
And the word of the day is: CACOETHES!
Gesundheit!
-
I only found out on Tuesday that today is my supervisor's birthday. We're all going to Pellegrino’s (https://pellegrinositaliankitchen.com/) to celebrate. I always get their Monte Cristo. It's really good!
-
And now, bedtime.
Have a good day, all!
-
Good morning, all!
-
No coffee this morning, only water. I have lab work for next week's doctor appointment first thing this morning. Once I've finished up[ there, I will go to Broadway Farms for some fresh fruit.
-
I slept rather well last night. I was only up once.
-
I plan to spend most of today making vegetable soup. I have quite a bit of chopping and peeling and the kitties might get a little bit of beef out of it.
-
DR vixmom, I answered your PM abd resent the email.
-
Good morning folks
-
Oatmeal with flax seed, pumpkin seeds and fresh strawberries has been consumed
-
Dishes have been washed
-
Coffee is being consumed
-
I slept straight through the night and woke up a few minutes before the alarm went off
-
What a nice change of pace
-
Last night I went to Bible study
-
It’s not really Bible study because we’re not studying specific verses, chapters etc it’s more of a discussion series
-
But it’s been generating some very stimulating and illuminating conversations
-
I was late because of getting stuck behind someone who didn’t grasp the concept of “green means go” and instead dallied until the light turned red again.
-
It happened to be at the light just before the train crossing, and as luck would have it, after the light turned red again, the train signals lit up, the barriers came down and we were stuck while the train trundled through.
-
The person in the car ahead of me was apparently so amazed by this phenomenon that he was unable to move when the barriers went up and the light turned green again...and so we sat through yet another cycle until the light turned red once again.

He was not alone in the car he was having a intense conversation with the person in the passenger seat
-
And my horn blowing was insufficient to interrupt the conversation and incentivize the driver to , you know, DRIVE.
-
The third green was apparently the charm and he deigned to allow all of us, himself, me, the line of traffic that had built up behind me, to proceed
-
I ended up confessing my frustration of this turn of events at the discussion and mentioned that I may have said (albeit in my own car and out of hearing of the aforementioned driver) some harsh and unkind things about the drivers ability to drive, questioned his intelligence and possibly suggested that his parents had not been married prior to his birth. I may have also speculated upon the possibility that his mother may have been a species other than human, perhaps canine in origin....
-
The irony was not lost on me that I was on the way to church
-
Good morning, all.
-
Though I considered that my response to the dawdling driver indicated it was important that I arrive at my destination since I obviously was in need of some guidance regarding alternative methods of dealing with frustration.
-
Some suggestions were engaging in prayer for patience.
-
Another suggested praying for the offending driver, specifically that he would learn how to drive
-
But nearly everyone (including the pastor) admitted that their first inclination would have been to react in a manner similar to my own.⁷
-
I think vixmom could have further used this as an opportunity to teach a lesson to the other driver, perhaps by getting out and standing in front of his car and reading a few selections from the Bible.
-
That might have pleased the other drivers waiting in line, as well.
-
I think it cost me $678 when I had problems with the CACOETHES in my furnace two weeks ago.
-
A book special would be nice.....but affording it for me might be another story....perhaps finances will be better in a few weeks though.....

DR TCB why don't they just reopen Steilacoom.....I'm sure there's plenty of room there?
-
I am home from all errands. Broadway Farms has redone its geography and I hate it. We need a good Big Supermarket close to hand.
-
I would have been home 30 minutes earlier if the jerk lab technician had shown up at 8:00, the time of my appointment, instead of 8:30.
-
As soon as I got home, I did kitty cleanup, and now I'm having some breakfast. Once I make the bed, I will clean off the table, clear everything off the stove, and prepare to make soup.
-
I slept rather well last night. I was only up once.
😊
-
Oatmeal with flax seed, pumpkin seeds and fresh strawberries has been consumed
You are eating a better breakfast than I eat.
-
I slept straight through the night and woke up a few minutes before the alarm went off
Great.
-
I also slept fairly well. Every time I woke up I managed to fall right back to sleep, until 6:45.
-
It happened to be at the light just before the train crossing, and as luck would have it, after the light turned red again, the train signals lit up, the barriers came down and we were stuck while the train trundled through.
Groan.
-
The person in the car ahead of me was apparently so amazed by this phenomenon that he was unable to move when the barriers went up and the light turned green again...and so we sat through yet another cycle until the light turned red once again.
Did you honk for the second green light?
-
And my horn blowing was insufficient to interrupt the conversation and incentivize the driver to , you know, DRIVE.
Oh.
-
The irony was not lost on me that I was on the way to church
;D
-
I would have been home 30 minutes earlier if the jerk lab technician had shown up at 8:00, the time of my appointment, instead of 8:30.
:o
-
I had to wait 20 minutes for my chest x-ray after making an appointment to guarantee the time.
-
Good morning!
-
Soup's on! The beef is cooking in a broth of beef stock, water, onion, bay leaf, and celery. It smells great.
-
My doctor just called me as a follow-up to my email to her yesterday, asking me for a full account of everything following the colonoscopy. I like her a lot.
-
Good morning, all.
-
Ready for a day of exploration.
-
Well, in a little while.
-
SF vibes for DR JOHN G.
-
The soup sounds great DR ELMORE. I am eating the last of the chicken & noodles I made on Monday, so I probably won't cook until Sunday......
-
Homemade soup sounds so good right about now. And I never make it. That’s a crime.
-
My doctor just called me as a follow-up to my email to her yesterday, asking me for a full account of everything following the colonoscopy. I like her a lot.
Excellent. I was wondering if you had asked for this.
-
I am having butternut squash soup with pumpkin seed kernels sprinkled on top
-
I heated it up myself
-
It is organic from Stew Leonard’s
-
DR John G, have a great time! What's playing at ATC?
-
The soup has become two large pots and will end up as three or four. It smells fantastic. After I retrieved the beef and put the broth through a sieve, I added crushed tomatoes and stewed tomatoes to the broth, shredded the beef and put it into the pot as well. I just added chopped cabbage, cauliflower, potatoes, and chopped onion. I have to peel and cut carrots now.
-
45 minutes later the frozen green beans, corn, and peas went into the soup. I need to cut up the celery and add it last, just before I turn off the heat and let it sit for a couple of hours.
I will have three big pots of soup.
-
The celery is in and the heat is off. The wonderful odor has had three kitties worked up since noon, but neither Stella nor Annabelle would eat the pieces of beef I offered.
-
I had to buy a pill crushers for Annabelle's antiviral medicine, only she won't eat the food withj the crushed pills in it.
-
Where is everybody?
-
The soup came out quite nicely. It tastes great.
-
I'm up, I'm up - almost eight hours of sleep. Had to have a telephonic call as soon as I got up, then went to Gelson's for stuff for burgers, now I'm back home.
-
Hello, everyone.
-
DR elmore do you have room in your freezer for some of that soup?
-
Larry, so sorry to hear of your medical issues. Your doctor sounds like he's being straight with you, which I, for one, would appreciate.
Vibes of peace and comfort and the very best of care for a excellent outcome.
-
DR elmore do you have room in your freezer for some of that soup?
I was wondering the same.
I love soup and often freeze it. It makes such an easy, light dinner.
-

Of course. All of it. I don't understand why you think I wouldn't?
-
I stopped at the supermarket on the way to my hair appointment. The woman in line ahead of me asked the very friendly checker if he'd seen much panic shopping. He said yes, on everything. They had to restock.
As it happened, it was time for me to buy more toilet paper. They were out of my first choice, but had lots of stock of others.
-

Thanks, DR Jeanne. I like my primary doctor and the gastrointestinal doctor who did my past four colonoscopies very much. My two surgeons both have great empathy and senses of humor. Works for me.
I hope everything is working out for you.
-
I had to drive past Costco. My God, the traffic! It was like rush hour instead of late morning.

Thanks. I rescheduled next week's surgery. I was waffling, then the coronavirus made it just too iffy. I'll wait until I'm stronger and not facing an epidemic.
-
I haven't heard this from the standard news reports, but Starbucks, who has a big investment in stores in China, has said that 90% of their stores there have now reopened. I find this encouraging, despite the rest of the bad news.
-

Isn't it interesting how much we can glean from someone by their vehicular body language?

Why this concern about the size of my refrigerator?
-
My freezer is usually pretty packed, with little room for new items. Yours may be larger or used less.

While in Safeway yesterday I was curious enough to see if they had any tp. They had some Charmin & another brand. They had plenty of Bounty paper towels.
-
I know you need more freezer space for your soup so I graciously offer space in my freezer for your soup.
-
Had two burgers - excellent and under seven hundred calories.
-
Wrote a set of liner notes and got those where they needed to go.

Listening to music now.

I bought 3 pints of gelato the other day because I had a “super coupon” and it only cost $4 for all three...when I got home I had to do some cramming to get everything in

Sometimes it’s important to know the size of a friends fridge or freezer.... ;)

:))

It certainly is if you need to borrow or lend space.

DR John G, have a great time! What's playing at ATC?
I don’t know. But I am seeing Sting in The Last Ship tonight.
-
FYI: MISS FISHER (the movie) in theatres March 13, streaming March 23.
Thanks. I passed the word on to a friend who’s a fan.
-
I really enjoyed my gelato tonight
-
Jane would have hated it

Oh I was sorry to have missed that in NY

Enjoy!!

I then took a trolley ride up and down.
-
Then i had an excellent dinner at a place called John’s Grill. It’s been around since 1908 and is included in The Maltese Falcon.

I had cioppino for dinner, the real San Francisco treat.
-
For dessert:house-made vanilla ice cream with fresh berries. Really sublime.
What kind of gelato did you have, Vixmom?
-
Off to the theater

That's my problem. I have too much stuff in my freezer. ::)

Intermission. Interesting show. They ditched the original libretto. Sting wrote a few new songs. The order is rearranged and some given to other characters. It works well.
-
Made a third burger - so that puts me a tiny bit over 1000 calories for the day and I'm jiggy with that and need to do it every day for the next six months.
-
Jane would have hated it
Hate might be a strong word, unless it was hazelnut ;)
-
I never liked gelato until we went to Italy. Even in Italy all gelato is not created equally.
-
Today i walked a few hours, went to Pier 39 and sailed out on the bay in a catamaran. Saw lea lions, Alcatraz and the Golden Gate bridge.
It sounds lovely.
-
When we lived in Tiburon visiting friends went to tour Alcatraz. I declined to go with them. I would have been fine with a catamaran ride around it.
-

Actually I wouldn't taste it in order to find out if I hated it ;)

Show was very good. Act 2 could stand to lose 10-15 minutes. But it was interesting politically. It played to a Bernie Sanders crowd, and they loved it.

I am guessing you are referring to Western State Hospital, and not to the entire town of Steilacoom. Actually, the hospital is still very much open. It is understaffed; under funded; and, last I looked, lacking accreditation.
-
It was a crossover episode with Station 19, which I fortunately recorded.

Why? Was it beef gelato?
