Well, you've read the notes, the notes were insane, and now it is time for you to post until the insane cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: BENIGNITY!
-
All the late night talk shows are repeats. I'd read that most, if not all (at least on broadcast stations), are going on hiatus for the time being, and they'll just show previous episodes.
-
Old funny is still funny, but if they're too topical (and most are), they won't age too well.
-
I recommend Amazon Prime for some fun movie watching for free or, of course, you can trawl the Tube of You, which always has interesting stuff to watch and hear.

I still haven't watched Good Omens that was originally on Amazon Prime last year. ::)
-
But now that I'm on an extended leave from work (with pay!), I just might take the time.
-
Good morning, all!
-
Well, they can close down the parade but they can't close the date!
-
I've decided to spend much of the next week cleaning the apartment as much as possible. I'm not fond of the idea of people coming and going through my things, and my neighbor Judy will be in and out feeding the cats and dumping the litter, so I'd like the place to be really clean and in order.
-
Today or tomorrow, depending on my whim, I need to make a trip to Broadway Farms for fresh fruit.
-
Just because a Scottish fold kitten wears a bow tie . . .

My wonderful sister-in-law Jo just emailed me to check on me. She and Randy are moving to Eaton, Ohio.

And we had a suicide at Columbus Circle yesterday.

That is worth watching.

And it will be nice to return home knowing you won't have to clean. After you return home might Judy still help you with the cats if you need it?

Awww. They are such cute kittens but funny to me once they have grown.

I have been awake since 4:00. I am going to try and take a nap.

:o. Didn't they move to this house not too long ago?
No. They moved to their current house five or so years ago.

Good morning, all.
-
Oy. Auditions today. It’s going to be interesting to see who shows up, how optimistic everyone is, and how everyone behaves. This is for ADDAMS FAMILY that’s slated for a July 10th opening.
-
I was at the store for a few things yesterday and didn’t think to check on St. Patrick’s Day supplies. I wonder if there’s any more of a rush on corned beef, etc., than usual.
-
T.O.D.
Luckily, we have toilet paper.
However, it's hidden away in a locked safe, buried at a hidden location.
;)
-
My wife went to the market yesterday in Austin, but many shelves were empty.
She left this morning, about 7:30, to see if she could do any better.
Hopefully, she'll be back by dinner time.
;)
-
Good morning!
-
LOL DR DRUXY......you may have to send out a search party.
-
I am just staying home.....which is what I usually do. It is an interesting time and situation.
Some of our leaders are NOT making it any better with their statements and misinformation.....but that's par for the course, I guess.
-
As yet, I do not have any stories on the TOD....except what I reported yesterday.....
-
Good morning, all.
-
My wife just called.
She's in line at the market
But, the line is more than a full aisle long, wrapped around another aisle.
She got the last parking space in the lot.
And, she left home at 7:30 this morning.
:o

Glad Sandy’s well enough to do this on her own.

I braved enough at the markets yesterday. I may go to Walmart, but not for food.

My thoughts and well.

Also I am more concerned now if I will find the ingredients I need to make my salads.
-
Also, it snowed here :o

:o. Didn't they move to this house not too long ago?
No. They moved to their current house five or so years ago.
Oh, this is the new house they are moving to. I thought it was the current home. Either way I didn't realize it had been 5 years.
-
I was going to take a quick run to the market this morning but it looks icy out there.
-
Bruce I hope you are right that they are not hoarding fruits and vegetables as that is exactly what we need. And milk, but not for a few days.
-
I have frozen blueberries, peas, & corn on my shopping list. I suspect those will not be available. Normally we go to Costco for those which is why we haven't purchased more yet.
-
I was fortunate not to work when the kids were young. If a snow storm was expected I could usually get to the market before 5:00, not always but most of the time. If I went later I might find the milk, and other essential items, almost sold out . While the lines were long the baskets were not overly full. People just purchased what they needed for the expected amount of time, and you didn't want too much in the frig & freezer if you lost power.
-
What I am seeing in photos & reading about reminds me of the long lines during the gas shortages. Even then, you couldn't hoard the stuff or sell it on the black market.
-
Our modern day black market is the internet.
-
It's been a morning. We're having bulk trash pickup on Monday and I had to get stuff out there. the treadmill and the exercycle, neither of which has been used in 15 years, is out on the curb, along with a broken vacuum, some old side tables and assorted other junk.
Good riddance.
-
I was also able to put together a wire shelf unit in the closet that Joy gave me a couple of weeks ago when she was moving. I filled half of it and cleared some floor space in the garage.
-
And I sweating like crazy.
-
I need to take a little rest. I'm headed to Fredericksburg tonight to hear a Buddy Holly tribute band -- so far, it hasn't been canceled.
-
Got new direction this morning. I may have to go in to work after all. We'll see.
-
I had forgotten about Husbands and Wives until I saw a clip of it in the documentary about Allen's cinematographer, Carlo di Palma. There was a reason I forgot all about it, and I'm trying hard to forget it again.
-
There was a very sad scene in Before Sunset where the couple sail past Notre Dame, and they talk about the day when it would not be there and the next church would arise on the scene, just as the cathedral had been built on the site of another church.

-
Stella, Thatch, and I had a nice nap together. I'm puttering about today. I just pulled the ground beef from the freezer to make chili tomorrow. After that's accomplished, I'll thoroughly clean the kitchen area. I'm going to hold off on mopping the floors and the bathroom for the end of the week, along with the laundry.
-
I'm bummed that the Big Supermarket does not sell ground pork.

I'd go.
But one question: Was it a budget concern that Phyllis's backup boys are clad only in boxers?

I'm up, I'm up - seven hours of sleep.

Well, they can close down the parade but they can't close the date!

I went to the supermarket this morning to try again for milk
-
I was able to get a half gallon of lactose free fat free milk
-
An announcement has gone out. We will not be gathering for worship Sunday. Pastor will be conducting services via a live online feed instead

It must feel good to have it organized.

As I feared there wasn't any green cabbage. It seems it sold as soon as it was put out this morning.
-
The market was extremely busy, however, we didn't have any problem parking or a wait to check out as Keith self checked. The only thing on our shopping list we could not get was the one item I wanted most of all.
-
I need to take a little rest. I'm headed to Fredericksburg tonight to hear a Buddy Holly tribute band -- so far, it hasn't been canceled.
Enjoy your evening.

We just watched BOMBSHELL.
Overall, I liked it, but (at times) it was hard to follow.
Too many characters and some of the dialogue was muddled.
Maybe it's an age thing?
-
Hello, everyone.
-
I just returned from the salad bar. It's always quiet on Saturdays. It's right next to a business park, so most of their customers are office workers. No noticeable difference today. I asked the manager if they were having any problems getting supplies. No. Customers? No. But they've been getting a lot of delivery orders.
Many small businesses could be hurt by these shutdowns. I will do my best to support small businesses.
-
A woman at the salad bar, a newbie customer, told me that there was a fight at the gym. Apparently someone coughed and that prompted a woman to give the cougher hell. Sigh. I must assume that many people are feeling stressed and tense.
-
Rain is predicted here for the next several days, about ten days in a row. That's unusual for us, but we need it and it's not likely to be constant. We need breaks so we don't flood and also so we can run out to buy provisions--if there be any.
-
Back from putting gas in the motor car, and then a proper lunch at Jerry's Deli - when I arrived there were only about four tables with customers, but when I left there were about twelve. It's been deadly there, my server Monica told me. Had a breakfast burrito - excellent.
-
And then there's this, which is what I've been saying all along: https://www.nytimes.com/2020/03/14/technology/coronavirus-purell-wipes-amazon-sellers.html?smid=fb-share&fbclid=IwAR12tw680olnySFxM-wZttE5BABeQojf3gbuLOuyFIzAF-VLSu4-hThmE_w#commentsContainer

I did laundry this morning. I'm in for the day now, but I do want to do some cleaning.

I'm hoping that all those people who stockpiled toilet paper and hand sanitizer will realize that they really DO have enough now and STOP it! I'm also hoping that people will get cabin fever and start going out again, assuming they're not sick.
-
Page Two....
-
But I suspect that some of the current changes will stick. I like the idea of having tissues and hand sanitizer in public spaces, as DR George mentioned at the theater. I especially like for people to STAY HOME when they're sick. I hope that more people will have paid sick leave as a result of this. I hope this serves as an overdue wake-up call and we see some lasting changes.
-
Hi, Jack.
-
LOL that posted late.
-
Hello DR JEANNE.
-
We had a dusting of snow - I turned on BEYOND THE POSEIDON ADVENTURE and promptly fell asleep.....
-
It is strange not having sports ball games to watch on a Saturday.
-
Rain and snow days are good for naps.
-
TTFN.
-
Dealing with some funeral business for my cousin Sharon who passed away on Thursday.....
But nothing major or distressing....just the regular notifications, etc. Someone else is doing the heavy lifting.
She had two sisters and a brother still living.....one brother passed in 2017.
-
She also has one son.....but I haven't seen or heard about him in many years.....maybe he will be there.....
-
I had she of the Evil Eye not come today - she'll be here in two weeks, so I'm doing the laundry right now.
-
Listening to some film music from the likes of Elmer and Jerry.

I am glad they still have customers. We might go out again next week We have purchased credit at Beaches so in a way we have helped them. It is the staff that won't be getting tips I worry about.
-
We had a shorter walk than usual as the wind was blowing a bit hard. On the last stretch home we felt like we were in a snow globe.

And then there is this proud couple, so proud in fact that they bragged to a reporter.

Rain and snow days are good for naps.
Our snow day was rather hectic since it included the crazy trip to the market.
-
Since I couldn't make a salad for dinner I am having an artichoke.

Gosh I hope so.

Condolences DR Jrand on the loss of your cousin.

That’s beautiful is that the house they’re buying or selling?
Buying.
It’s lovely. I can’t believe it’s so inexpensive. The kitchen is fabulous
-
More insanity - for fun, I looked at some food on Amazon - there is NOTHING available - not one THING. Nor things like cleaners, like Lysol or 409. Anyone who doesn't think this is nuts is - nuts.
-
I shall now be on my way to the theater.
-
I recommend Amazon Prime for some fun movie watching for free or, of course, you can trawl the Tube of You, which always has interesting stuff to watch and hear.
I still haven't watched Good Omens that was originally on Amazon Prime last year. ::)
That is worth watching.
I know. I've seen clips and I really like David Tennant. :)
-
Well, I'm at the movie theater, about to see Onward in 3D with my friend Margo.
-
So far, we're the only ones here.
-
Today, I was home just dinking around, not really doing anything.
-
I eventually did a liitle shopping at Fred Meyer, Costco, and Smart Foodservice (formerly Cash & Carry).
-
Didn't get too much, but after shopping I went to KFC and had their new chicken and donuts.
-
Actually, I got the one-donut option with three chicken tenders.
-
It was actually pretty good.
-
They cook the donuts fresh, so that was nice.
-
Totally crazy. People who need food delivered from the markets can't get it. One example, this morning a friend spent 40 minutes ordering on line only to be told it would be delivered on March 26th.
-
I might get it again...hopefully, I won't go after they've discontinued it.

I haven't seen that.

It was very good.
-
Back from a fun evening of swing dancing.
-
Five!
-
Well, I have to go now. They just dimmed the lights!
Be back later...much later!
-
The children were wonderful.
-
Boy was I slow between posts ;D
-
I do have to report to work, at least for a few days while they test the infrastructure to make sure it can handle that many people working remotely.
-
There were plenty of emails and texts volleying back and forth. The bottom line: The new CEO spoke too soon.
-
I need to get some sleep.
-
Good night, all.
-
That's embarrassing for the new person ;)
-
I need to get some sleep.
So do I.
-
'night
-
Back from a good show and a very small audience but a good one. About half the reservations were no-shows - would have been a nice house, otherwise. The theater has spent a lot of money making sure everything is clean, the box-office, concession, and ushers wear gloves - but you can't fight hysteria - I'm sure the no-shows were at the market.
-
Wow, an hour sans posting - well, ninety minutes actually. This is most unseemly.
-
Perhaps some are self-quarantining from the discussion board.
-
A voice in the wilderness.
-
Sometimes I feel like a motherless child, and yet no one ever gives me a motherless child, so there's that.
-
This is noxious.
