Well, you've read the notes, the notes had six words that equal perfection and you now know what they are, and now it is time for you to post until the perfect cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: EPICUREAN!
-
And the word of the day is: EPICUREAN!
Used in a sentence: Wacky Noodles are an EPICUREAN delight! ;D
-
And on that note (E-natural), I'm off to bed.
Have a good day, all!
-
I guess I should go to sleep, too. And perhaps I shall.
-
Good morning, all!
-
No injuries from yesterday's fall, but i am very sore today. Add to that a bad night of sleep and I will spend much of today lying down.
-
I was quite happy to see our DR TCB last night.
-
No corn in chili! Never!!
-
This morning Annabelle finally ate a healthy breakfast. She sounds like garbage, her breathing is congested, and I cannot afford the vet at the moment, so I was surprised she ate. I hope this bodes food since I do not want to come home from hospital and find her dead.
-
Good morning, all.

Vibes for Vixmom’s nephew.

Vibes for Vixmom’s nephew.
Ditto!
-
I took my time with kitty cleanup this morning. I have things to take to the basement and some pickup around my bed. after I make it.
-
Good morning
-
George the. I get and I saw War Horse at Lincoln Centre, we had front row seats that were essentially on stage, we had to keep our feet tucked in to avoid interfering with the actors. It was an amazing experience. I wish I could see that again
-
Feeling better vibes for Elmore
-
I believe at least one of the apostles was an EPICUREAN.
-
Vibes for the nephew of DR VIXMOM.
After reading here yesterday - I will keep the corn far away from my chili.
-
I was going to make my lobster mac & cheese today, but I still have two cheeseburgers left from the broil yesterday - so maybe it shall be made tomorrow.
I am not supposed to go to the grocery store, but I may go to WalMart tomorrow to get some tomatoes and bananas.....if there are any....and see what else is available.
-
Last night I dreamed I adopted this bulldog Gus from the ACC. I wouldn't mind adopting Dexter either! One thing about this quarantine: since it's happened, the number of adoptable dogs at the Manhattan ACC has dropped from over 50 to 26.
-
My WalMart store site proclaims that they are NOT TOO BUSY right now.....and it seems at 7 a.m. and 8 a.m. they don't have too many folks....so tomorrow it is EARLY.
-
I guess I will dress YOUNG so I won't get arrested for being out and about.....

Cute dress! Annabelle wants this.

Good morning!
-
Good morning, all.
-
I've had interesting dreams - that I don't remember - the past three nights.
Same old, same old, I'm sure. But it would be nice to have a "second look" at them before they go completely POOF!
-
So, DR Elmore, which day is the surgery set for? Or is it still undecided?
(Or maybe you posted that and I missed it.)
-
So, DR Elmore, which day is the surgery set for? Or is it still undecided?
Frozen yesterday: Monday March 23; I have to be there by 6:30AM. I have no idea what to pack besides a long novel and cell phone.
-
I'm here to report that the corned beef was delicious. But when isn't it? There's not much you can do to ruin a corned beef. I can only take so much credit for the results, though I'm very attentive to how I prepare it. After cooking I trim the most obvious mounds of fat, so it's leaner than what you usually get at a restaurant.
I'm especially happy to say that my plan worked and there are plenty of leftovers. I know that at least Nathan and I will enjoy another full meal of it this evening. (Kristi is "eh" about corned beef; she enjoys one meal of it, and then that's it for a while.) Then, depending on how much remains, I want to make a nice corned beef hash to serve with eggs. If not, then we'll do that another time.

Yep, that's probably about it. You expect to be there at least one overnight, right?
-
Don’t forget your cellphone charger, Elmore.

Good news. What does your vet do, or give Annabelle, in the office that can be done at home? Maybe if you call she can leave a prescription or give advice for while you are away.

Tooth brush and tooth paste. Eye drops, deodorant. I would need hand & face cream along with chapstick.

Stella, Thatch, and I had a nice lie down for about an hour, then I got a phone call from Joshie to see how I was feeling after my fall. We solidified Monday's plans, He will stay home, calling the hospital for updates and then emailing the info to my family and a few friends.
-
I'm currently reading a biography of Jerome Robbins.
-
Oh good. I was going to ask about this as we got closer to the date. Who will Joshie contact to share the updates with us?

Wednesday afternoon greetings!

Excellent. I was afraid it would be Annabelle.
-
We are expecting delivery today of 2 twin mattresses for the trundle bed frames we inherited from my mother. They are part of the furnishings in the minimal guest room we’re creating upstairs. Not that anyone will be needing it for a while...
-
I like Annabelle's cheerleading uniform.
-

Both.
-
Our mattress delivery has been moved to Friday because it’s pouring rain here this afternoon.

We hadn't seen usual walkers on the path for a few days When we saw them yesterday we were shocked they had company and hadn't been walking here.

Vibes they are still delivering on Friday.

I am glad at my last haircut I went a little shorter than usual as it will be awhile before hair salons are open again.
-
I had planned on getting my bangs trimmed before about now. I am at the point where I need to see if I can trim them. My hairdresser makes them look much better than when I trim them.
-
If the salon she worked at near me had not shut down last month, and my hair dresser not moved to a location inside the mall, I would have gone last week.
-
I got 4 posts out of my boring hair story ;)
-
I'm up, I'm up - nine hours of needed sleep.
-
Must go to the mail place right now.
-
I have the Greg Lawrence Robbins bio - let me know if it's good.
-
I'm currently reading a biography of Jerome Robbins.
Which one?
Both.
I enjoyed both for different reasons.
-
Three!
-

That was the gossipy one, if I recall correctly.
-
I'm currently reading a biography of Jerome Robbins.
Which one?
Both.
I enjoyed both for different reasons.
There are three bios. I bought them when they were publshed but i had only read "Somewhere" by Amanda Vaill. So, this week I dragged out the other two and I'm reading them in bits and pieces.
-
I've been fascinated by Billion Dollar Baby since I read about it in Andy Probst's book about Comden and Green.
-
Experiment one worked fine - I did an Instacart delivery from Gelson's - four-day turnaround, but it arrived this morning (for some reason I thought it was tomorrow - had I remembered I would have gone right then since there's frozen stuff - but it all seems fine). They do replace if they can't find the exact item, but the replacements were all fine by me. So, I have a few frozen dinners now, and a few other small items. It's an option should you have Instacart in your neighborhood. Tomorrow's will be more interesting.
-
Also, I don't know much about Instacart but delivery was free. Prices are Gelson's prices but Instacart has coupons so I did save five or six bucks.
-
Listening to music right now.
-
Was going to make pasta again, but now I don't have to.
-
I want to get this one if i ever make money again!
-
Trying out a lean cuisine pizza bread with pepperoni.
-
Hello, everyone.
-
I slept poorly last night. My mind kept going over what food I have here and what I still need. I'm never like this! I woke up this morning out of a dream that the surgeon had called me. I don't know why the anxiety over all this disruption hadn't hit me before, but it's here now.
-
Vibes for Vixmom's nephew. Please keep us posted.

Don't succumb to panic, dearest Jeanne.
-
What is this page three malarky?
-
I am glad at my last haircut I went a little shorter than usual as it will be awhile before hair salons are open again.
Did all your salons close? Mine is still open, but, like everything else, it's iffy.
-
Don't succumb to panic, dearest Jeanne.
Believe me, I am trying not to.
-
I had an email from my dentist this morning. His office is closing for several weeks. I had a cleaning appointment next week that I didn't want to miss. The hygienist books MONTHS in advance and it'll be hell trying to get another appointment. I am not happy about this.
-
So many disruptions! I find that even relatively small ones can be most annoying!
-
Now I'm eating some spicy Thai pasta salad, which also came with the Gelson's stuff.
-
I wonder if all Instacart deliveries are free.
-
Apparently, all the gun shops in LA and the Valley have lines in front of them - people really have gone off the deep end.
-
I heard some similar things. It's distressing.
-
I need to make some lunch.
TTFN.
-
I mean, what do they think - if someone gets closer than six-feet they'll shoot them?
-
Almost through with the nine-CD Debussy set - which is fantastic.
-
Then I grabbed a bunch of interesting stuff from the Tube of You before going to bed last night, so that will be next, then around six I'll start my viewing.
-
I can put a magazine in my romper.
-
I shall have to investigate the Robbins bios for purchase at some time in the future.
-
The phone conference meeting was not technically good.....
Right now there is talk of dropping the Sept. show and just moving everything one month ahead.
They don't seem to understand that having auditions in May is not much different than having them in April....and we just don't know what things are going to be like.....
It's a mess - but it's a mess that all performing organizations are in......so we shall see.....we are meeting again on April 1.
-
Looks like Applause will probably move into July IF the show that was supposed open in April opens in May - I'm hoping this insanity is calmed down by May, just as it is in, you know, China, where everything is back open and getting back to normal after two-and-a-half months of this thing.
-
I mean, what do they think - if someone gets closer than six-feet they'll shoot them?
They’ll stand their ground and defend their toilet paper and purell
-
I can put a magazine in my romper.
Is that even legal?
-

You are lucky the replacements are fine with you. Did you have it delivered to the mail place instead of your home?

we are supposed to self isolate, instead we are going to markets too often trying to find everything we need. And of course I keep thinking of things we need.

Yes, to the mail place - but if I did it again I'd have it delivered here instead.
-
Today we found raisins, vegetarian baked beans, and mayo (I had a coupon for that). I wasn't going to use the coupon for the mayonnaise as the jars were larger than I normally buy. I figured if I didn't buy what was there it might be gone when I do need it.

Our dear friend in Portland with the two daughter (Bruce met her and the older girl at Nordstrom's) has been texting to make sure we are ok. She has offered to pick up anything we need and leave it at our door. I am very touched. She has a new job, is remodeling her house, and two children at home now. I am more worried about her.
-
Good evening.
-
We are self-isolating. The only person we are around is our daughter, whom I am taking to work so she won't ride a bus. We just hope she doesn't get exposed.
-
My husband often overshops. He goes on senior day and stocks up on things.
-
He's turning into his dad, but don't tell him I said that.

Good idea to keep her off of the bus. How are you getting groceries?

We have decided not to go to the clubhouse to work out. At least I have. I will walk instead.

Where in tarnation IS everyone today? Are people out and about, all of a sudden?
-
Why is it that most people only cook a corned beef dinner on St. Patty’s Day? It is the same delicious dinner, no matter when you serve it.
-
Got word today that church services have essentially been canceled. They're going to be broadcast via zoom to those who want to attend.
-
Why is it that most people only cook a corned beef dinner on St. Patty’s Day? It is the same delicious dinner, no matter when you serve it.
Who knows why they have it on St. Patrick's Day. It ain't Irish. American-Irish maybe, but the folks in the Emerald Isle don't eat that much beef and they'd never corn it. I love the stuff, too.
-
Wise decision.
-
DR TCB how are you getting your groceries?
-
I thought the six words that equal perfection were
I love you and I’m rich!
-
Where in tarnation IS everyone today? Are people out and about, all of a sudden?
We went for a very short evening walk as it very nice out. There were too many people out for a week night. Hmmm, I think it feels like a vacation time to them. Fortunately the family with children walking too close to us old people headed down to the little beach.

Yes, "The Best Years of Our Lives" is one of the best movies.
-
At Walgreens today we picked up the photo of Freyja to send to my friend. We also printed a larger one and now have our first framed photo :)
-
I had a wild ride at work today. Meetings all day, and they were actually good meetings. Work got done and everybody on my team did their best. Everybody who was virtually there, that is.
I was down an extra person. People took her work requests and finished them.
My boss even pitched in and edited something very important for me, the COVID-19 piece. She set aside an hour to read it and was finished actually in less than 10 minutes. She saw why I wanted to work with the writer I chose. And I think it made her feel more a part of the team.
-
I went to dance lesson afterwards. We were the only people in the place. It was rather sad. The parking lot of the whole plaza was practically empty, but there were still people at the gym.

Our gyms have been closed. I can't imagine dancing right now.
-
I've finally had an evening to watch the 42nd St. DVD you made for me, George. Oh, my goodness, what memories. This was the first show I ever saw on Broadway, and while the British cast is OK, there's no one like Jerry Orbach or Lee Roy Reams, who danced up a storm, especially in We're in the Money and the title number.
Not everyone I saw was in the original cast. Millicent Martin was Dorothy Brock and Lisa Brown from The Guiding Light was Peggy.
-
Nice work story, JohnG!
-
I don't want to tell tales, but i hear rumors that Jerome Robbins was not the sweet guy he seemed to be.
-
:)
-
That smiley got an extra post towards my posting deficit.

-
OK, so the new English is that social distancing is having a wedding in Boro Park, and sheltering in place means go out for nice long jog.
-
I'm not sure I like the changes Randy Skinner made to the choreography of the title tune. The addition of the stairs was nifty, but it missed the emotional impact by not having the soldier boy die.
-
The nice thing about Lean Cuisines are you can have two and it's only 600 calories.
-
Finished one motion picture and may watch another.
-
Good night, all.
-
Finished with the first twenty minutes of another movie, but am not in the mood, so listening to music.
-

But they are often at least 6 feet away from each other in the title tune.

Why we have still continued with morning workout.
-
Our workout room is rather small and we are too close to the person next to us. Not ideal these days.
-
Just had a nice catch-up conversation with David Wechter - that was fun.
-

Jack, you are quite correct. Rehearsals starting up again in early April, and opening MURDER on May 1, is not going to work any better than the original dates. Also, keeping the six foot space between audience members is a joke.
-

Yes, but the Chinese government placed people in quarantine by force. We are far from that apparently effective method.
-
I’ve been doing my own grocery shopping, a little bit at a time
-
Jennifer, picking up my order at the store defeats the whole reason why I have it delivered. The delivery driver puts it all in my kitchen, so I can easily put it away by myself. Picking it up requires me to get the food from the parking lot up to where my condo os located.
-
This morning Annabelle finally ate a healthy breakfast. She sounds like garbage, her breathing is congested, and I cannot afford the vet at the moment, so I was surprised she ate. I hope this bodes food since I do not want to come home from hospital and find her dead.

Hi, Tom.
-
Hello, George. Good night, George.
-
Good night, Tom.
-
PAGE SIX DANCE!!
-
Today, I took a walk and went to the local Meconi's (https://www.meconissubs.com/) for an egg salad sub sandwich.
-
Since carry out/take home and delivery are the only options, I opted to carry out and take home my egg salad sub sandwich.
-
Fortunately, I only live a couple of blocks from the local Meconi's, so I got a little walk in while supporting a local business.
-
Granted, it's only one sandwich, but it's something.
-
Yesterday, I got a club sandwich from Red Wagon (https://www.redwagonburgers.com/tumwater/), which is right across the street from Meconi's, so I supported them, too.
-
Tomorrow, I plan to get a Love Salad from the local Happy Teriyaki (http://happyteriyaki5.com/) restaurant.
-
That's too far to walk, so I'll drive there, then bring it home.
-
Doing my part to support the local businesses.
-
Friday, I'll go to the local Eagan's Drive-In.
-
My friend Judy works there, so we always visit and ketchup on what we've been doing the past week.
-
George the. I get and I saw War Horse at Lincoln Centre, we had front row seats that were essentially on stage, we had to keep our feet tucked in to avoid interfering with the actors. It was an amazing experience. I wish I could see that again
I bet that it was amazing! I'd love to see it live! :D
-
Wednesday afternoon greetings!
Oh good. I was going to ask about this as we got closer to the date. Who will Joshie contact to share the updates with us?
I believe I am the designated HHW point person :-*
Good!
-
George, what is a Love Salad and is it meant for two (or more)?
-
I am glad at my last haircut I went a little shorter than usual as it will be awhile before hair salons are open again.
My sister called me today, asking if I would trim her hair...just a blunt cut straight across to shorten it all. She doesn't have confidence in her daughter's ability to cut her hair in a straight line, so I'll be attempting it. ::)
;)
-
George, what is a Love Salad and is it meant for two (or more)?
The Love Salad is: "Fresh romaine and napa cabbage, topped with crunchy noodles, sliced almonds and our creamy ginger “LOVE” dressing." It's kind of large, but not too much for one. It's probably enough for two Janes, though. ;D
-
How are things down in your area, jan?
-
Sounds good. Do you share?
-
Also, I don't know much about Instacart but delivery was free. Prices are Gelson's prices but Instacart has coupons so I did save five or six bucks.
That's pretty cool. I've never tried any kind of delivery service. I've never needed it.
-

Nope. It's all mine. :)
-
Wet! We have had rain off and on for two weeks but I love it! Today was full on sun most of the day. How 'bout you?
-
I had an email from my dentist this morning. His office is closing for several weeks. I had a cleaning appointment next week that I didn't want to miss. The hygienist books MONTHS in advance and it'll be hell trying to get another appointment. I am not happy about this.
I'm not sure, but I think my next dental appointment is in a couple of months. I wonder if it'll be rescheduled or not. I'll wait to see if they change it. I don't really care one way or the other.
-
Wet! We have had rain off and on for two weeks but I love it! Today was full on sun most of the day. How 'bout you?
It's been quite dry recently, and it's starting to get warmer. That's nice.
-
Apparently, all the gun shops in LA and the Valley have lines in front of them - people really have gone off the deep end.
WTF?? :o Why??
-
You mean, if I dropped in on you, you wouldn't share a salad with me? I'd bake something for you!
-
I can put a magazine in my romper.
A.k.a.: "Is that a gun in your pocket, or are you just glad to see me?"
