Well, you've read the notes, the notes were played like a fine harmonica, and now it is time for you to post until the harmonious cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: AMBAGES!
-
I've never heard a harmonica concerto, but I have heard and enjoyed the music of Toots Thielmans before.
-
That's so cool about the next Kritzerland show! It's a Sunday, so I'll be home. ;D
-
Will it be available to view after the live broadcast, or can it only be watched while it's being broadcast live?
-
Topic of the Day:
Auntie Mame
Gypsy
The Trouble with Angels
The Women
I think these are all of her movies that I've seen. ::)
-
And now, I'm off to bed. I'm going to work today and maybe even Tuesday, but starting tonight, we're having online rehearsals for Mamma Mia! I hope it goes well.
Have a good day, all!
-
I think we're gonna just keep it live.
-
Good morning, all!
-
Around 4:00 Annabelle crawled under the blankets to get warm. From then until I got out of bed, I had Stella and Thatch reminding me it had been ten hours since their bedtime treat and that they were starving. I suspect I'll crash around 10 this morning.
-
I love my neighbors Judy and Mark, but she's getting really crazy with the quarantine. Last night around 8:45 she called to tell me she had left a can of Progresso soup[ and a box of crackers hanging on my door. The effort to get out of bed and hobble to the phone is a painful one at the end of the day and I don't know why the hell she just casually drops things off on the assumption I want them. The other day she left a box of oat cereal and two jars of peanut butter.
-
The items were left in a paper bag, so my first tidy up chore this morning is to pick up all of the shredded remnants of the bag, thanks to Stella.
-
I'm going to spend part of the day writing an introduction to a suite of waltzes.

OH MY GOD :)
-
I woke up at 4:09 a.m. for a brief time, then again at approximately 4:58 a.m. to make a trip to the bathroom, and I've been mostly awake since then.
This, ladies and gentlemen, is not the way to start a Monday morning.
-
Of course I know the big question on everybody's mind is: Will he get to the chainsaw chains today, or won't he?

Time will tell.

I have never seen The Women.
It's a hoot. I wish anyone else in the MGM roster had replaced Norma Shearer, one of my least favorite actresses.

Thank you DR ELMORE - I think I am confident enough now to start to make my own mask....and a few for friends.....

Chainsaw Chains is the title of my new thriller.....

Sun is shining but I have yet to receive any stimuli.

I started watching FIVE FINGER EXERCISE on TV sometime in the last century, but I couldn't figure it out - so I gave up..... It was part of what was called the great Russell stage rustle in which she ended up doing the film versions of three Broadway shows Gypsy, A Majority of One, and FFE.
-
I am very excited about the upcoming Kritzerland Show!
-
Monday morning greetings! It's a beautiful day in SW Ohio and it might even get warm enough for some porch reading this afternoon.
-
DR George I had no idea eBooks can be renewed from the library and have yet to notice that option.
-
Good morning.
-
Thank you for the good wishes for my back. I'm fine, really. It will get better. But I sure do feel for those whose back issues don't get better.
-
George, I also watch Preppy Kitchen. I usually use his recipes when I make something. I just love the Italian grandma.

DR Elmore, this reminds me of the sewing adventures we had back in the 1970s!
-
Pick up is not available at WalMart until Thursday.....I may go tomorrow.....in person.....with my mask on.....
-
JRand, please stay home. Is there anything you really need that is worth the risk? It's worse there in Indiana than it is here, and I won't take the risk of going into a Walmart.
-
The mask won't protect you. It only protects others from YOU if you have the virus and no symptoms.

That's exactly what I was going to say!

Good afternoon!
-
T.O.D.
I know she was a wonderful actress, but I was never a fan of Roz Russell. Don't know why.
-
Yesterday, I approved the audio version of MISS AUDREY HEPBURN.
So, now we wait for ACX to do the same.
In the meantime, I have 3 more audios of my plays in production:
ROY SCHEIDER & THE BIGGER BOAT
GARY COOPER AT HIGH NOON
JASON ROBARDS AT THE OLD PLACE
And, I'm writing a new one.
I don't recall the last time I was this busy.

I had no idea, either. Good to know!

This morning, I got an e-mail from Tom. He sent me a picture of Nicky and asked if I could post it here. I can and here it is! :D
-
And now, I need to get my butt outta bed, take a shower, get dressed, and get said butt (and the rest of me) to work!
Be back later.

George can I impose upon you (once again) for a disc of the one world concert ( I think that’s the name) only if it’s not too much trouble :-* :-*
-
This morning, I got an e-mail from Tom. He sent me a picture of Nicky and asked if I could post it here. I can and here it is! :D
Beautiful.
-
Nicky was very handsome. Somehow I pictured a tabby.
Gray Tom (a feral cat in the backyard) and Asha both look like Nicky.
-
Well I came home, made a lovely omelet for lunch and now must return to the office

Pardon me if someone already posted this. I know we were recently talking about STREET SCENE.

My three kittens are fidgety today. Their usually long nap between breakfast and dinner was short, and Annabelle and Thatch have been climbing all over me for the past hour.

Page 3 Dance!

I had thought about doing some laundry today, but it will have to wait for tomorrow.
-
Elmore, I wish you would stay at home, too. New York's numbers are so terrible.
-
I just made gnocchi.

I'm up, I'm up - nine hours of sleep.

Did a Costco run. Got wipes, eggs and wine. Most of the essentials.
-
Gas prices at regular stations was $1.24. I hear it’s under $1 in other states.
-
Well, in Studio City it's still 3.69 while in Sherman Oaks ONE station is 2.93.
-
Picked up a package and no mail then did Taco Bell for lunch. I think they're doing more business now than they were before, just drive-through - always a huge line of cars, even at two-thirty.
-
Nicky!!!!
-
thanks everyone....I am going to Kroger in the morning instead of WalMart.....much less crowded.....I appreciate your comments.

The page 3 dance cat looks like he's doing sumo.

I hope your Kroger is better than our local Fred Meyer which is also a Kroger store.

We took a very nice walk on our little beach today. Since the park is closed the beach was empty. It is nice out today which means the walking path overlooking the beach was crowded.
-
I made stuffed peppers for dinner last night. But I made 8 so we have 3 more meals ahead of us

None of the neighborhood nonchain pizza places are open. It’s too hot to cook.

I think we are all making lemonade from our lemons right now here at HHW!

That is sad. Are they closed because it is Monday or because of Covid-19?
-

Trying too. I feel terrible for DR TCB losing Nicky right now. It is painful enough during good times, and harder to cope when we are grieving to begin with.

And I am feeling your not be able to see your grand daughter DR JANE.....

We had a fun 3 way video chat today with 5 people. Good friends for almost 51 years.

And I am feeling your not be able to see your grand daughter DR JANE.....
Thank you. Tomorrow is Keith's birthday and we expect a video chat. Hopefully Freyja will be awake and will interact with us again.

I'm very happy with both the pizza (doctored with anchovies) and the cold Italian sub. I will have the leftovers for at least two meals.

Let's move on ...

Four!

Oh my what a handsome fellow

DR TCB, I saw Phantom in Vegas after Brent Barrett had already left. I did get to see him in Follies in Chicago with DR Kevin H and DR Jose and thanks to DR Kevin H was fortunate enough to meet him after the show. It was a wonderful time
-
My cats have been goofy today. It was very windy and that makes all sorts of sounds, that may be part of it
-
I spoke to the appeals court clerk, I filed the correct papers, so I worried for naught
-
My allergies were nuts today. I had the windows open and it's dry and dusty and the trees are budding. I've always had an allergy to budding but don't know what tree, anyway, I finally turned on the ac and wonder of wonders I can breathe again and my eyes stopped burning. I did get it a little too cold, so now I'm wrapped up in a blanket, but I can breathe
-
Have to agree that the protesters are nuts.
-
I started today with a Go To Meeting plea and sentencing hearing and then had a Zoom Rotary meeting. I haven't done much video chat type stuff before so I'm enjoying learning. Our Rotary program was teaching us all the tips and tricks of Zoom so we are comfortable having meetings that way. I love the virtual background, does anyone know if Go To Meeting has that?
-
I was out of bread and tried to make some from some Roberts frozen bread dough. It was past the expiration but I figured I'd try. Well, it was, in my mom's words "flop bread". It wasn't horrible tasting but was about an inch and a half tall (yes I let it raise for hours) I just think it was past it's prime.
-
So I ventured out to Fareway, my go to store. I still have one or two N95 masks left from my woodworking. You're only supposed to wear them once and throw them away. I've been wearing the same one to the store and then letting it sit for a week and wearing it again the next time I go to the store for a few weeks now. I figure if the virus is on it, it should be dead by the time I re-wear it. Anyway, I wore one today and was amazed at how few people were wearing masks. Our numbers are going up up up and no one seems to care. Luckily, the store wasn't too crowded and I was able to get the things I needed and things I thought I needed and things I really didn't need at all and get home.
-

Congrats.

It is that time of year. I am glad you can breathe.

Well...doesn't mean it will be granted, just means I filed the correct papers, lol
-
That reminds me I didn't do my breathing exercises. In a way I am as we have been walking a hill that gets me breathing hard.

Walking up a hill can be a good breathing exercise all right
-
I have to say I have been very happy about being over 60 these days when it comes to shopping.
-
Saturday morning when I made my BJs run the line he was straight down the side of the building but I was able to walk right in.
-
My boss was thrilled with the Clorox wipes 5 pack
-
Have to agree that the protesters are nuts.
And only delaying things for us :(
-
My boss was thrilled with the Clorox wipes 5 pack
LOL, I wondered about that. Clorox wipes are like gold. There was toilet paper today at our store but no wipes.. I heard a couple girls saying "Grandma REALLY wants toilet paper. I hope they have it" I had to chuckle because I knew they would find it

All singers have their music. Now we set keys and Richard and I routine the songs and they'll get their tracks.

Good evening BK
-
Woo Hoo! My camera is arriving a day early. Perfect. It's strange to have it delivered to the house, I always send them to the office. But I'm here, so I may as well have them sent here
-
I'm up, I'm up - nine hours of sleep.
How are you able to sleep so long?
I'm lucky if I can get 6 hours of sleep a night, and I take a sleeping pill.

Oh we're getting so close

Ta da!

DR TCB, I saw Phantom in Vegas after Brent Barrett had already left. I did get to see him in Follies in Chicago with DR Kevin H and DR Jose and thanks to DR Kevin H was fortunate enough to meet him after the show. It was a wonderful time
I have a bootleg DVD of that production. For some reason, I haven't watched it yet.
-
Watched Spike Lee's 25th Hour again. This may be the fourth or fifth time I've seen the movie, which remains perhaps the most powerful look from a New Yorker at what it was like to be in New York after 9/11. It's only occasionally addressed in dialogue, but you see the workers clearing the debris at Ground Zero, you see the searchlights honoring the spots where the towers were, you see it in the reactions of the people to other people on the street.
-
And now I have to get to bed.
-
Good night, all.
-
I just realized I haven’t put gas in my car for like a month.
-
I wonder what the gas prices are like. I still have about a 1/4 tank but maybe I’ll mosey over to the petrol station tomorrow and fill ‘Er up
-
I'm up, I'm up - oh, wait...
-
Finished with viewing.
-
Probably should eat a little something else - not at 1000 calories yet.
-
Why I oughta...
-
And then I wrote...
-
Making a Lean Cuisine pizza bread.

It seems about time even if you aren't planning a road trip.

I know, it is amazing.
You take a pill every night? That doesn't sound good either.
-

Hello, George.
-
I received the call today that Nicky’s ashes are ready to be picked up. I can’t believe it. Nick just died on Saturday.
-
One more post.

Last time we were there it wasn't that bad though we prefer Safeway now where the store employees and more of the shoppers are wearing masks.
-
We are doing senior shopping in the morning, Hopefully it won't be bad.
-
DR TCB is there a Safeway near you?
-
Such said news about Nick Cordero. My prayers to him and his family.
It is.
-
Hello, George.
Hi, Tom and Jane.
-
I received the call today that Nicky’s ashes are ready to be picked up. I can’t believe it. Nick just died on Saturday.
You don't have to rush over for them if you need more time. Sending hugs and vibes of comfort.
-
Hi George.
-
I have to get up early and should try to sleep.
-
'night
-
Good night, Jane.
-
Whassup, homies?
-
Boy, I really grabbed a LOT of harmonica concertos.
-
Is everyone jiggy this evening. Word tried to change jiggy to piggy.
-
Why I oughta...
-
And then I wrote...
-
What am I, doing a monologue?
-
Someone chime in with something.
-
I am running out of ideas.
-
Of course, that's never stopped me before.
-
Or has it?
-
I know not.
-
Tonight's Google Meet Mamma Mia! first read-through fairly well...for the most part.
-
DR TCB is there a Safeway near you?
Yes, a few miles away.. I usually shop at Safeway, but Freddie’s is closer.
-
People's connections into the rehearsal dropped every once in a while, but we got through reading the script.
-
Whassup, homies?
-
The music didn't work so well, though.
-
I received the call today that Nicky’s ashes are ready to be picked up. I can’t believe it. Nick just died on Saturday.
You don't have to rush over for them if you need more time. Sending hugs and vibes of comfort.
Thank you. I told them it would take me a couple of days.
-
Zoom is very popular but apparently not secure.
-
I gotta tell you.
-
And this should do it.
-
And yet...
-
We tried singing one song with the backing track, but there was just too much lag between all the people, so we had to stop after about 20 seconds or so.
-
Good night, all.
-
Oh, look...it's Page Eight! :D
-
Good night, Tom.
