Well, you've read the notes, the notes were notesaholic, and now it is time for you to post until the cows come home - they're currently in their cowsaholic meeting.
-
And the word of the day is: INSUFFLATE!
-
That's a great cast, BK! Can't wait to see the show!
-
Listening to George Szell's amazing performance of the first movement of the Mahler 10. What a great conductor he was.
-
Today, I have a Zoom meeting for work at 11:00, and that should last about an hour. Then, I'm going to my parents' house to go with my sister and niece and mom to see one of my mom's rental units (she's an actual landlady) that's just been vacated, so we can see it before someone new moves in. Then, I have to be back home by 3:00 for another Zoom meeting for work, then I'm going to an elementary school to celebrate my friend Margo's daughter's birthday by honking my car horn. :)
-
But first, I must sleep.
Have a good day, all!
-
Good morning, all!
-
I slept quite well last night.
-
One of the cats threw up yesterday while I was taking trash to the basement. I don't know which one, buit I'm suspecting Annabelle and a hairball.
-
I don't plan to leave the apartment today. I'll work on my orchestration.

Vet vibes for DR Cilla.
Maybe the practice you don't like will hire a new vet for the office that you will like.

Sending hugs to DR TCB.

Still awake.
-
Or awake again.

DR TCB, I was given a Siamese kitten for Christmas when I was twelve. Before she was spayed. she had three litters; the first two were accidents, and the third was in 1962, when we bred her with another Siamese. My mother fell in love with the runt of the litter, so she kept it and sold the others.
The two Siamese lived indoors with whatever beagles, basset hounds, or other dogs my brothers had at the time, but all of the family animals went outdoors several times a day. One morning a neighbor called to tell my mother that one of our cats had been hit by a car several blocks away from our house. It was my mother's cat. For several years after that, every member of my family had one or more encounters with that cat's ghost.
Perhaps Nicky loved you too much to leave you?

I would like to think so! Thank you, elmore

Be Still My Heart!
Daniel.... Robert.... and um, oh yeah, Sami.
-
Oh, and Brent.
-
Sending hugs to DR TCB.
Thanks, Jane.
-
I suppose I might as well get up and have some coffee.
-
Or, maybe I should read my script, and that will put me to sleep.
-
I have no plans to leave the house today.
-
I splurged last evening, and I ordered a pizza from Papa John’s.
-
It was expensive, but good.
-
I should not have spent the money, but I thought I needed a treat.
-
I talked to my sister yesterday. She sounded good.
-
You can ruin your tires if you drive on them when they are INSUFFLATE.
-
No bruises this morning, but the shoulder is a bit sore.....but that's okay.
HEAVY rain this morning and more expected this afternoon with thunderstorms and high winds tonight.
And that's okay.

Good morning, all.

When we bring pizza into the house and it's for the three of us, a large does the job. If at least one other person is here, we'll get two larges and sometimes have a few slices left over. But I can do a lot of damage on pizza all by myself. In my earlier pizza eating years, I'd put away all of a medium or 3/4 of a large without evening thinking about it. There might even have been a time or two when I polished off the large in one sitting. It's possible.
I am a pizzaholic and I wouldn't mind proving it. Again. Today.
-
Good morning!
-
Looking forward to the June show, BK! Great cast!
-
I probably said before that I've had the hankering to try a couple of frozen pizzas again for my first time in - seriously - probably twenty years. On my most recent shopping trip I didn't see anything at Shop Rite that I recognized as being recommended by anyone, but just to dip my toes into the water I picked up a Stouffer's French Bread one which I haven't had in an even longer time. I know it won't satisfy the craving for a "real" one but it should make for a pleasant meal.
I then remembered my earlier history with some pizzas Trader Joe's began carrying during my last year or so in Los Angeles, which were a few varieties of small frozen pizza made by Wolfgang Puck. His name was all the rage then, and those pizzas were damned good. Moving here, there was no TJ on the east coast then, but the memory of those pizzas lived on. When they finally expanded and we got our own store, I looked at their pizzas. The Puck name was nowhere in evidence (probably long gone), but it looked like there were a few under the Trader Joe's name that were very similar. However, I didn't bother trying any then, and now with the staying at home, I haven't been across town to even go into our Trader Joe's. When I finally do, though, watch out.
-
So now that I've remembered the Stouffer's that's been in the freezer for a week, tonight might be the night for that. Unless we put some hot dogs on the grill (we've got good Sabrett's here) which was an earlier idea. I's definitely that kind of a day. Hot dogs or pizza. Decisions, decisions.
-
Good morning, all.
-
Gotta love Guns N’ Roses, whom I saw at Woodstock ‘94. Their new appellation, COVID-45, is a winner.
-
I remember reading the novel Six Days of the Condor Back in the seventh or eighth grade. It had one of the first explicit sex scenes I remember reading. Left a lasting impression.
I guess in the movie biz, six days sound too long. Nowadays, it would be three hours.
-
All I've talked about so far is food.
-
I love Three Days of the Condor!
My theater memory has me seeing it at the Village.
I also had the "Six Days" novel in paperback but I'm pretty sure I didn't read it and I don't see it here now. Oh well.
-
All I've talked about so far is food.
And? That’s aces in my book.
-
Cillaliz, I will message you the recipe tonight.
-
Yikes! CONDOR was released in September 1975, and for years I've thought back on it as having been very late '70s or even 1980/81-ish. I wonder how I got so far off on that one.
Well, I have the Blu-ray and it's time to see it again. Truly, though, I'd like to line up all the great '70s paranoid thrillers and have myself a little marathon. Said marathon would, of course, have to include MARATHON MAN. No groaning, please.
-
Tom, in this dreadful revival of Clear Day, the smoker is now called Davy Gamble, not Daisy. He becomes a female jazz singer in a previous life. It’s Jessie Mueller in her first big role, and she’s wonderful. But the problems go back to Harry Connick. His depressed character is now the lead. Why? The script doesn’t make that or much of anything else clear.
-

Birdie Barnum is playing a lot of basketball this morning.
-
Yesterday I ran out of newspapers to put in the bottom of the cage, so I had to use plain white sketch pad paper......he did NOT like that.
However, yesterday the mail lady brought us our weekly sale bills, so today he has his Kroger and Aldi ads to look at....he is much happier.

Happy birds are more fun to be around.

I'm up, I'm up - barely. Woke up at nine after only four hours of sleep.

LOL DR TCB.

I talked to my sister yesterday. She sounded good.
Excellent news. I gather she stayed in her own home.

A bit sore isn't too bad. Vibes it is better tomorrow.

Thursday morning greetings! Ohio's restaurants have permission to open tomorrow for outside dining only and rain is predicted for the entire weekend. Do you suppose Mother Nature is trying to tell us something?
If I do go to a restaurant once they open, it will be for outside dining. Are there other restrictions such as having to give your cell number for tracking? We thought about that and decided we wouldn't mind doing that. The biggest decision is to go or not.

I am glad to hear that.

I made it through On a Clear Day. How horrible Harry Connick was throughout the whole show. It builds to him singing the title song, which is a big letdown. He has a limited range that never builds. And that’s shortly followed by his two costars, who lead the rest of the cast into how the song really should be sung. Goosebumps from the cast. That Burton Lane music is still incredible.
-
Had California Chicken Cafe for food - nice and low-calorie. BUT - this jernt is so erratic, food-wise, that I'm not gonna do it again. Last week, I had one chicken breast and chicken pasta salad and it was great. This week I ordered two breasts so I'd have one for later - but the first was terrible and the second looks like it's equal. I don't mind a little moist in my chicken breast but this was dripping with moist. Even the pasta salad was rank.
-
No tracks to approve yet - something about the musical director's kids having finals and needing his computer - not sure why the little darlings wouldn't have their own computers. He says he can do some stuff in the afternoon, but he's now a day behind where I wanted him to be and there's no way he'll finish what needs to get done today.
-
Got in some porch time today before all that rain that's predicted. I put up the flower box that hangs on the railing and planted the butterfly flower seeds that the folks from the Beavercreek church brought us for Easter.
DR Laura, will those grow into butterflies? ;)

We're in no hurry...

Picked up mail and went to the bank and was both dismayed and really angry that they've "temporarily" closed the branch. That's going to create a real problem on the first with my pension checks. I don't know the tellers at the Sherman Oaks branch and it's awful there, with a line always out the door because it's tiny. I may call BofA tomorrow.

We're in no hurry...
Especially since I just saw a headline that there are 14 new cases in Middletown today :(
-
I stopped posting the Indiana numbers because it was getting depressing.....but I will start again if anyone wants them....
Thanks DR JANE....a little sore. I never thought of drawing pictures for him....I will remember that!
-
I baked some chicken breasts and steak fries and biscuits for the next few days.
I did draw the line at also making some Stove Top stuffing.....
-
And now the sun is shining again!

We aren't in a hurry either. Beaches is the restaurant we would consider and have the ability to walk past it to see what the outside dining looks like.

It's interesting to me that Indiana's numbers are so high. Kentucky is low and actually getting lower. It went from No. 28 down to No. 31 among the states reporting cases.
-
Watching another bootleg tonight. It's the original off-Broadway cast of Falsettos. Barbara Walsh is really, really good.
-
Watching a very long motion picture. Finally got a track, but it needs work so he's redoing it now after we discussed. I'm gonna push to get two beyond that, which will leave two for tomorrow.
-
We just watched a reported walk through a nice restaurant showing the new seating arrangements and what has been done to make it safer. The reporter as well as the staff were all wearing masks though the customers weren't. Then the reporter took us to the kitchen. While talking to the owner or manager in the kitchen, his mask slid down off of his nose. Keith & I were laughing. The reporter looked like his mask was about to slide down.
-
Our little late afternoon walk in the rain did not take us to our little beach today. Even if we had wanted to walk along the river's edge we couldn't have has the water lever was rather high today.
It wasn't dangerously high, just nice for this time of year. I don't think we have to worry about a drought this summer.

Good evening.

What day is it? They are all running together.

I am very fortunate, though. I have the luxury of being able to be safe at home.
-
I made some more sourdough rolls today. Delicious.
-
Watching the same damn long movie and it STILL has twenty-five minutes left. Yikes. Meanwhile, I've proofed and given fixes for two tracks - I doubt I'll get a third so tomorrow he has to finish the three that are left.

I remember reading that when they first started workshopping the revisal, Brian D'Arcy James was the lead and Anika Noni Rose played Melinda.

Frozen is the first show in New York to announce that it won't return.
I'd read that. When my friend Margo and I saw that in Seattle, it was great! She found out that a week after we saw it, that Seattle leg of the tour had to shut down, and then the whole tour stopped. We were very lucky that we saw it when we saw it.

Today, I had the first of two Zoom meetings for work at 11:00 am. It lasted all of 15 minutes...fine by me. :)
-
Much vibes to vixmom.
-
I'm up, I'm up - oh, wait...
-
It occurs to me that in less than eighty posts I will achieve a new milestone.
-
In seventy-five postings to be exact.
-
And one really must be exact.
-
Page five? Really?
-
Most unseemly.
-
I blame the Coriolanus - oh, Coronalianus.
-
After that, I went to my parents' house and then I, my niece, my sister's boyfriend and my mom went to one of my mom's rental apartments that was vacated so that we could take a look at it. It was nice. Two floors, three bedrooms, the usual stuff.
-
That darn Shakespeare.
-
Hearing it shouted over and over ... for decided I don’t line it anymore
:(

:D
-
We then all had some food (tilapia, slaw salad, and hash browns). I couldn't stay to play Phase 10 because I had another Zoom meeting for work, so I left.
-
I will be doing Facebook Live reading of the entire Shakespeare canon. That will show them.

PAGE SIX DANCE!!

That has been suggested more than once. I I recall there was a problem doing that.
-
There was an accident on I-5 that really slowed traffic, so I didn't think that I would be able to get home in time for the Zoom meeting, so after I was finally able to pass the accident, I actually got off the freeway and stopped at the Tumwater Costco, found a parking space in the shade and logged into the meeting on my cell phone in my car! :D
-
My phone was charged up enough, so I just had to make sure that it wasn't too bright behind me. Fortunately, I was able to aim my camera in a way that minimized the light. It was very informative, so I'm glad I didn't miss it. I just had to hold my phone for a whole hour! :P

Oh. I forgot about that.
-
After the Zoom meeting, I went into Costco. I did have my mask with me, so they let me in. I bought a few unnecessary things...including some low carb/keto ice cream bars that were actually pretty good.
-
I then brought it all home and put it away, and then I had to leave to go to the elementary school to honk for Margo's daughter's birthday. I got there at 5:03 and NO ONE WAS THERE! WTH??
-
I drove around a couple of times and didn't see anyone, so I drove to Margo's house (it's just a couple of blocks away) and there they were...just Margo, her three daughters and her youngest daughter's boyfriend. I got to actually tell the birthday girl (the middle daughter), "Happy Birthday!"
-
We chatted and that was fun. After I left there, I went to my sister's to pick up a package that she wants mailed to our cousin in Oregon. I'll mail it tomorrow before I go to my parents' to help my mom do stuff around their house.
-
I went to Dairy Queen for a quick dinner, came home and ate and read my book on my Kindle, then took a nap for three semi-solid hours, then woke up and have now caught up with all of today's posts!

;D
