Well, you've read the notes, the notes had traffic, and now it is time for you to post until the trafficked cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: NEOTERIC!
-
Sorry, I finished my Zoom rehearsal, plugged in my iPad to recharge it, and I fell asleep.
-
Now I need to go back and read all of yesterday.
-
Sorry! Good night.
-
Hi, Tom.
-
Good night, Tom.
-
I love The Boy Friend by Sandy Wilson. I played Lord Brockhurst back in 1990...30 years ago! I was all of 24 years old. I'm finally old enough to effectively play the role. ;)
-
It's always fun to hear demo versions of shows that I've gotten to know from the final versions. I have a few, but not Goodbye to Berlin.
-
Hi, George.
-
Now I have caught up.
-
Now I have caught up.
Whew!
-
The Zoom rehearsal was weird.
-
The producer and the director kept saying that no one would be upset if someone had to quit. I could see the look on several faces that they wanted to speak up, but were afraid to be first.
-
RAGTIME was given a spot in October as part of next season, but we were told it was July or nothing.
-
They kept saying that we would be limiting audiences to 40 people because of social distancing, but nothing for the cast.
-
RAGTIME was given a spot in October as part of next season, but we were told it was July or nothing.
I wonder why. ???
-
There are 10 or 11 cast members on a very small acting space.
-
They kept saying that we would be limiting audiences to 40 people because of social distancing, but nothing for the cast.
That's not right. :P
-
They proudly told us about the plexiglass shields that were purchased for the ticket pick-up and the popcorn sales. I suggested maybe plexiglass between the actors and the audience, but that idea was met with silence.
-
We will meet again next Tuesday.
-
On Zoom.
-
We will meet again next Tuesday.
On Zoom.
Break a leg...or a screen? ;)
-
Now that I have vented, I need to go back to sleep.
-
We will meet again next Tuesday.
On Zoom.
Break a leg...or a screen?
Thanks.
-
Good night again, Tom.
-
Good morning to everyone. Hope everybody has a great day
-
Good morning, all!
-
I had hoped to be confined to home today, but I must return to a Spectrum store and exchange the new remote I got yesterday for another one. The new one changes channels but neither the volume control nor on-off switch works.
-
All three cats are romping like mad this morning, so I guess Thatch is better!
-
I'm feeling rather vague this morning, but I slept rather well.
-
Page 2 Dance!
-
I really like The Americanization of Emily! I cannot believe that I had never seen it before. Joyce Grenfell was inspired casting to play Julie Andrews' mother.
-
It's been over an hour since my last post. Where is everyone? I hope DR vixmom has a good day.
-
Good morning, all.
-
Remote vibes for DR ELMORE.
-
Vibes for DR JANE.
Yes, sometimes folks pick up bananas and other things for me, or I go with them......but BIG shopping for restocking the vitals is reserved for once a month.....
-
Thanks MR BK, but I am not in rehearsals right now.....don't know when or IF I will be this year.....it just seems difficult.
I still don't know how DR TCB and his cohorts can be expected to continue.....
According to the guidelines here in Indiana - there are specific cleaning instructions.....NOTHING to be passed out (i.e. programs), and no sales of food items.....
And how do you follow the tracing guidelines if someone gets sick after attending a performance?
-
I liked Keanu Reeves' performance as NEOTERIC in the Matrix movies.
-
Congrats to MR BK on his elevated ELITE STATUS.....
-
Happy Eliza Doolittle Day!
-
Good morning, all.
-
I should get back to the Mabuse films.
-
Glad to hear Thatch is back to normal.
Our boys go through a 12- to 24-hour thing like that occasionally. It's always worrisome, but we have learned to just wait it out.
-
All three cats are romping like mad this morning, so I guess Thatch is better!
I miss having a cat.
-
I can't get a cat, because my dog is not cat (or dog) friendly.
-
My dog aside: It also wouldn't be fair to get a cat because, at my age, it would likely outlive me...and I don't know what would happen to it after I'm gone.
-
And, with that happy opening: Have a nice day.
-
Good morning!
-
Vibes for DR JANE.
Yes, sometimes folks pick up bananas and other things for me, or I go with them......but BIG shopping for restocking the vitals is reserved for once a month.....
Thanks.
-
I saw a skunk out on my back patio last night. I haven’t had time to go outside to see if the house were sprayed.
-
Well, the problem wasn't the remote. It needed to be programmed. A nice young lady at Spectrum just talked me through it and all is good. We still have the insurance clearance to get through because it's currently impossible to get a live customer service rep on the 800 Emblem Health line.
-
Shot out of a cannon this morning. I think everyone is taking Friday off and wants to get their work done today.
-
Oh yes Monday is Memorial Day.....
-
The sun is entering Gemini today, so restlessness is to be expected. We will have more plans than we are able to put into effect in the current circumstances.
Make up your mind about things - you can always change it later. There's nothing wrong with being flexible.
-
My kind sister in law found Beef Stew Flavoring at the Kroger store this morning and bought me two packages.
I hesitate to plan to make it now because temperatures are expected to be in the 80's for the next several days..... time will tell..
-
I forgot to buy eggs yesterday. I hope we can last awhile with the few we have.
-
Wednesday afternoon greetings! Richard and I attended another Miami University webinar today - an outstanding presentation about the pandemic by a young epidemiology professor. When they've archived the video, I'll share the link here.
-
We had just finished that when the
Wells Fargo Wagon FedEx driver delivered our new KitchenAid mixer. Look on Facebook for the picture of it on our kitchen counter. It' looks like it was made for that space!
-
Congratulations, DR Ginny! I know you're going to love having it. If I were in the market for a mixer, it would be a KitchenAid for sure.
-
I'm up, I'm up - about six and a half hours of sleep.
-
I've been listening to tracks since I got up - have not stopped. We're just missing one gal for the bigger group number, but that's sounding really quite good now, and the same gal for the trio - hopefully we'll have her stuff in the next couple of hours. Then Richard will get it all together around five and I think we'll try to mix this stuff tonight so it can go to Hartley for marrying audio to video. In theory, it should all work perfectly.
-
At least, that's the wing and a prayer. Must eat something - today is burrito day here but I'm not feeling it - still, that was the plan and I'm sticking to it!
-
DR Ginny your Kitchen Aid mixer looks very attractive on your counter. I may of only used mine a few times after I broke my shoulder finding a newer hand mixer easier to work. We had been talking about using it again to knead bread dough & then I sent Bryan my yeast.
-
Ginny does yours tilt back or raise straight up. I missed the old tilt back style with my Kitchen Aid.
-
Speaking of bread. This morning Bryan text me photos of a couple of beautiful loaves of bread he made with the expired yeast I sent him. With the first packet he made an onion rye & a sesame semolina.
-
Funny. I was looking for a red mixer. Keith easily found our white one, and it was where I expected it to be.
-
DR Ginny your mixer is much prettier than my boring white one :)
-
Still haven't got the one girl's two videos - really starting to annoy me now, as we want to mix it tonight. I've written e-mails to her and her folks.
-
Is anyone using Instacart for deliveries?
Bruce did you see the article Linda Sternhill put up on FB? Apparently Instacart, on top of their regular fees, increases the in store costs.
This is also about a few other delivery services. https://www.mashed.com/196927/the-truth-about-grocery-delivery-services/
-

DR Jane, ours tilts and, if we'd figured out how to do that while we were unpacking it, we wouldn't have had to chop up the styrofoam to get to the bowl.
-
Mine might not because it was also for making bread. Or after all these years people want the tilt style. It is a tight fit to scrape the bowl when raising it straight up instead of tilting it back off of the bowl.
-
DR Ginny your mixer is much prettier than my boring white one :)
Well, mine's white too, but the pearlessence makes a huge difference. I wanted blue, but it was too turquoise for our kitchen. After I'd ordered the white pearl I saw sugar pearl, which is silver, and that would have looked nice here, too.

Pearlessence always makes a huge difference. Our car is a pretty pearlessence.
-
Enjoy the micer, Ginny. May you produce many tasty treats with it.
-
It seems Cook County (Chicago) is the second worst county in the US.
-
Tonight, it’s Henry VI Part 1. The Joan of Arc (Joan la Pucelle) is good, both a farm girl and a born leader.
-
The Margaret in this play is supposed to be a young maiden. She’s being played by someone who is more my age than 18.
-
Thanks for the vibes. These are much the same here.
-
I have nothing good to say
-
I'm sorry to read that, Vixmom. Sending more vibes and prayers.
-
A lot of vibes needed lately for different folks.
-
Henry VI Part 1 was really good. Makes me look forward to Part 2. But that shall have to be another day.
-
Tomorrow is Ascenion Day. Vixmom, are you having services?
-
I think our church is reopening on May 31. Masks must be worn. Social distancing must be enforced. I won't be going yet.
-
I'm off to finish off laundry.
-
I did figure Instacart was adding - that's the only way they could do free delivery, which they were doing when I used them.
-
The work is finally done for the day - non-stop until twenty minutes ago, mostly spent on the mix, lining everything up, and then doing the final mix, which is hard over the phone. But we'd get it close then I heard it on my speakers and finessed from there and then I approved the final mix on both songs - I think they came out really well, and now they'll hopefully synch up with the video.
-
Never even left the house, so didn't get to the mail place. I JUST went out for my drive.
-
Now listening to music.
-
And yet, page three.
-
And yet, page four.
-
And yet, page five. Oops, that didn't work, did it.
-
Had two bean and cheese burritos of my own making earlier in the day and am now having the diet pizza bread from Stouffer's.
-
And what is everyone up to, not that everyone is here to answer.
-
I saw a skunk out on my back patio last night. I haven’t had time to go outside to see if the house were sprayed.
See...or smell?? ;)

And here it is:
-
Very nice, Ginny!
-
My sister has one, but I don't remember what color it is.
-
I'm thinking it might be red, but I just don't remember. :-\
-
Gratuitous Post #100!!
-
I have nothing good to say
~~~Continued Vibes for Vixmom!!~~~
-
Today, I went to Red Robin for lunch.
-
My friend Margo and I ordered online and went there (in our separate vehicles) to pick up our orders.
-
We went because I have a Red Robin rewards card.
-
I get a free burger with every 10 burgers that I get, AND a free burger during my birthday month!
-
Since it's still my birthday month, I wanted to get the free burger before I forgot.
-
That's happened before. ::)
-
I actually got their Whiskey River® BBQ Chicken (https://www.redrobin.com/item/whiskey-river-bbq-chicken/) and a diet Coke.
-
Since the chicken burger was free, I only paid $1.08 for the diet Coke!
-
After we each got our meals (Margo had gotten there and ordered before I did), we went to her house and sat on the porch and ate and chatted and enjoyed the afternoon.
-
Thanks for the vibes. These are much the same here.
Sorry.
-
The chicken sandwich is usually really good, but because I had to take the time to go from the restaurant to Margo's place (really less than five minutes away), the crispy onion straws were not as crunchy as they usually are. ::)
-
Oh, well...it all still tasted good
-
Hi, Jane.
-
I have nothing good to say
I am so sorry. Is your mother as difficult with your brother as she is with you?
-
A lot of vibes needed lately for different folks.
Sending them to everyone.
-
Good.
-
At least they didn't charge a fee to deliver on top of adding.
-
After we each got our meals (Margo had gotten there and ordered before I did), we went to her house and sat on the porch and ate and chatted and enjoyed the afternoon.
I think that is a great way to socialize while keeping a proper distance.
-
At least a few times a week we see our friends while out walking and stop to visit. We saw them this morning.
-
Yesterday while walking in one of the new neighborhoods we have discovered we stopped to talk to a gentleman we have said hello to in passing. To our surprise is 91 years old. He sure looks good.
Hi George.
I remember those being very good as well as the Whiskey River BBQ sauce.
Nice.
Sometimes we even see them in the building and chat but mostly we see them as we pass on the walking path.
-
The wife is my walking partner though I have no idea when that will happen again.
-
Relaxing. I'm actually exhausted from this day and I just had another frozen pizza thing.
-
Oh, that reminds me! Margo coincidentally also got the Whisky River BBQ Chicken, and they were kinda skimpy with the BBQ sauce on BOTH of ours. :P
-
I suggested that if we get something like that again to get the sauce on the side. That way, we'll know we got enough. ;)
-
Good idea or ask for extra on the side. Then you might have leftover sauce for at home.
'night.
I don't like all BBQ sauces, but this one is pretty good.
-
I didn’t get an email today saying I was fired from MURDER, so I guess I wasn’t too awful at last night’s rehearsal.
-
It’s funny, I like chili on burgers and dogs, but not BBQ sauce of any kind.
-
I need to get ready for bed. I have medical tests in the morning.
-
Seattle has now cancelled all Seafair events this summer. No parades, no fireworks, no hydroplanes, and no Blue Angels.
That's too bad. You'd think that they'd be able to do something.
