Well, you've read the notes, the notes returned, and now it is time for you to post until the returning cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: CASEOUS!
-
Good morning, all!
-
I slept really poorly last night. I turned off the lights around 8:00 and slept fine until around 1:00, thern I was awake, and up and down the remainder of the night. Around 3:30 Annabelle had a snifflies-breathing attack so I got up to wash out her nose. Then Thatch vomited and I cleaned that up. Some time after that, I got back to sleep.

I have four incisions around my navel, closed with a heavy surgical glue. They look like small hornets nests stuck to my belly. Dr Aronoff says they will eventually erode away. Today I musrt book an appointment with him for next Wednesday. I have no idea when we'll learn if the lesion and tumor are benign or malignant.
-
I wanted to stay another day at the the hospital but they wanted me out of there before someone from another floor might bring in Covid-19.
-
I love my neighbor Judy, but she's too neurotic. I will not ask her to take care of the cats again if I can help it. I will expound more on this later when I'm feeling chattier.
-
Or maybe I'm too neurotic.
-
Good morning!
-
It's great to have you back, DR elmore! I hope you sleep better tonight!
-
Good morning, all.
-
I’m putting the Trousdale on my list of things that should be reasonably easy to construct at home. I’m just wondering if freshly roasted turkey is best, or if one’s favorite deli turkey might do.
-
Very good to have DR Elmore back where he belongs. Just take care of yourself, sir!
-
When Kristi was in the hospital for what turned out to be two surgeries (a nasty rogue fibroid followed by gall bladder removal) a few years ago, I was surprised when they seemed to be allowing her to stay as long as she felt she should. Sometimes they’ll do that. But these are hardly normal times. I’m just glad to hear DR Elmore is sufficiently ambulatory to cope with it all so soon.
-
Last night, our phone rang about 4:20 AM.
Woke up both me and my wife.
I have no idea who this schmuck was, but when I do find out...
>:( >:( >:( >:(
-
Good morning, all.
-
Good to see you posting, Elmore. Vibes for more sleep and healing.
-
I would rather be home than at the hospital, because there was precious little sleep. They came in every four hours for this or that test.
-
But the hospital painkillers were remarkable!
-
I must call the corner bodega for a delivery.
-
Would someone check the calendar year for me? I just got an email saying tie-dye was in this year.
-
Welcome home and recovery vibes for DR ELMORE!
-
DR JOHN G I won't even wear tie-dye around the house.
-
Someday I would like to be in a production of JULIUS CAESAR and play CASEOUS.
-
Scan vibes for DR TCB.

TOD:
I like to listen to music from movies that I like.....instrumental and vocals.....
I also like to listen to some classical....especially Mr Van Cliburn.
-
DR DRUXY maybe it was the universe calling.
I read the new book DOLLS! DOLLS! DOLLS! and it included a particularly salacious story about Ida Lupino, Howard Duff, and Leif Ericson....and I wondered if you encountered said story in your research?
-
Very cloudy weather here. Lots of rain and thunder last night.
-
I am making a meatloaf so it will be done before it gets too hot later in the morning.
-
Too much me on this page.....Let's move on.....
-
Page 2 Dance!

Damn! My kitchen lights have burned out. I cannot climb the ladder to change the bulbs. What an inconvenience.
-
My brother Randy just called. It was nice to hear from him.
-
I wanted to stay one more day in hospital, but Judy had me so alarmed on Tuesday night, I needed to be home yesterday, so I did not fight the doctors about staying longer. Before I left, she started pestering me about Joshie's number in case she needed to reach me, what the hospital numbers were. My attitude was that she had a credit card on file for any vet issues, so what could go wrong. The cell phone calls began on Tuesday morning. "The cats and I played twice yesaterday." Then at 6:30 as my phone was losing energy and I had no idea where my bag and charger were, she called in as panic "I can't get the bottom lock to work and I cannot get in the apartment!" I called back and said, go out your emergency window to the fire escape and climb in my window.
"Oh, no, I'm too scared, and Mark can't do it." So I suggested one of the other neighvors on another floor. I used to climb in regularly when I locked myself out. I called back and left a message saying call a locksmith; I'll pay you back. About an hour later, she called back to say Randy, our neighbor above her and Mark, climbed down and opened the door. I didn't meed any of this crap. Yesterday morning, there was a message, Annabelle's got the sniffles and I called the vet but I can't take her today; we have to deal with Mark's Social Security and our savings.
I just wanted to get home and make certain the cats were okay.
-
So, before I left, I laid out four breakfasts and four dinners for them. She put the can's back in the Fancy Feast boxes, and now everything's out of order. Last night I discovered that she wasn't putting the empty cans in the recyclable bag for cans, and I had to go through the garbage, separating the cans from the paer and other garbage. Yuck!
-
Someday I would like to be in a production of JULIUS CAESAR and play CASEOUS.
I did play Caseous back in college.
-
Sorry, the cats experiment didn’t work out, Elmore. But the cats are OK and I am sure they’re glad to have you home.
-
Oh man, what a basket case she must be.
"Doesn't work well under pressure", you think? :)
Exactly the kind of neediness and hysteria you least want when someone is doing important favors for you.
I'm sorry you couldn't get your second day of hospital rest which undoubtedly would have been very beneficial, but I'm glad things were okay in the end. Sheesh.
-
Good morning.
-
So glad you are home, Elmore, and that the kitties are ok. They'd have been fine if you left a big bowl of dry food out for them. And the toilet seat up.
-
I only did part of my walk this morning. It got too hot out.
-
Whew!
Friends!
-
My oncologist's office called to reschedule an appt. that had been supposed to take place in March. So it is happening on Tuesday - only the patient, no guests.....
So I thought WTH - and went to the hospital for my blood draw. Forgot my phone.
When I got back - 20 minutes later - I had a missed call from the doctor's office.
Called back....Danielle reminding me to get my blood drawn....and I said: "I just did!"
HAHHAHAHA.....
-
Meatloaf is done - with potatoes and tomatoes.....
-
My new worktable lamp has arrived. I am very happy.
-
My new homecare nurse was by from 11:00-12:30. I have her for four sessions. Same with a physical therapist.
-
Had a nice walk at lunch. It’s getting hot though. Forecast for Tuesday is 105.
-

I'm physically at work. Just had to share. :)
-
Tomorrow, I'll be at my parents' for the day, but starting Monday, we're all back at work...unless something prevents someone from being able to physically come in.
-
I'm physically at work. Just had to share. :)
Wow. First time back?
-
The branches aren't yet open to the public. Right now, we're just having employees come in and get things ready for when they will be. First though, they'll only have curb-side service, then slowly increase accessibility until the governor opens all businesses for everything.
-
I'm physically at work. Just had to share. :)
Wow. First time back?
No, I was in yesterday and had come in a few times over the last couple of months. But now, more people are here today, getting ready for the building to open (with certain restrictions) for all of our staff to come in regularly from now on.
-
I'm up, I'm up - three hours of actual sleep, I think. I hope I can snooze a bit later in the day. I was up at eight, back in bed soon thereafter but could not fall asleep.
-
I did my little eBlast last night, and a few people responded very positively to it, so that was nice.
-
I also came up with a fun theme for July so I'm now thinking about songs for it and who to cast.
-
I finally got my energy up enough to make the bed, and I've got three cats to feed in 15 minutes. Those support pillows arrived this morning, and I think they will work out fine. I've now got them on the bed.

I love the Cool Cat!
-
Those are nice pillows DR ELMORE.
-
Weatherwise it is 88 degrees here.
-
Thanks to MR BK for answering my virtuality question last night.
-
To return to a subject from yesterday, I am not much of a PodCast person either......
-

VIBES ALL IS BENIGN!

That was a concern. Sorry about it.
-
Or maybe I'm too neurotic.
We all worry about our babies when we aren't with them.
-
But the hospital painkillers were remarkable!
Yes, and a reason to stay longer. I do better with the pain meds through the IV than in pill form.
-
Would someone check the calendar year for me? I just got an email saying tie-dye was in this year.
;D

Damn! My kitchen lights has=ve burned out. I cannot climb the ladder to change the bulbs. What an inconvenience.
Maybe the super will kindly help you. Does he still need to fix the toilet problem?
-
I love the Cool Cat!
Thanks! It was actually in an e-mail that I got.

OK Larry, you really need to be careful about not bending or stressing your body right now. A few cans in the trash instead of the recycle bag could have been left alone. I worry about you bending to skip the litter and clean up cat barf as it is. I speak from personal experience having injured myself bending after surgery.

These are the ones from your friend? I think you will find they help your other issues and will continue using them after you have healed from your surgery.

For years I had no interest n podcasts, but I've grown to love having the ability to "dial up" something being talked about that's of interest to me -- not necessarily "live", but whenever I'm in the mood for it. It's nice to know that when I want something to listen to, there's a world of stuff out there.
Now, as to BK doing one? I'd be all for it. There's no way that wouldn't be of interest. Chatting, reminiscing, demonstrating a song, comparing this or that, whatever.
I would say the same about a few other people I know whose interests and areas of expertise are known to me, and trusted -- trusted, meaning I don't have to wonder if I'm being fed a load of BS on a given subject; I know that they know what they're talking about.
So yeah, bring it on! And no, I don't have the slightest idea how to set such a thing up. :)
-
Jersey Mike's for lunch - should be here in twenty minutes.
-
Poor Annabelle is indeed in another case of the sniffles. I can afford her vet care, thanks to the unemployment, but I don't I should be carting her on the bus in her carrier. I'm doubling her Lysine. In case.
-
I'm thinkin' Jersey Mike's is too hit and miss for me - sometimes great or, like the last two times, sometimes mediocre. Today was the worst it's been.
-

Vibes for Annabelle, especially since you cannot be taking her to the vet right now.
-
After eight days in the shop we were able to pick our car up today. We had a loaner we didn't need to drive all that often.
-
Driving home on the freeway after my doctor's appointment in Portland, and prior to our scheduled service appointment, we heard a flapping sound. Thank goodness we heard it. While trying to locate the cause of the sound other issues were discovered. All under warranty. We did have to purchase new tires.
-
The car drives beautifully and more quietly than it did before we heard the flapping sound.
-
DR JANE it had been so long, I just assumed you had it back already.
-
I tried listening to a podcast earlier called Confessions with Giles Fraser. Interviews with writers. No. After 10 minutes ir do, the two people had talked over each other so much, it was just irritating.
-
Four!

That's too bad, BK. I've always had pretty good success with the local Jersey Mike's. :-\
-
DR JANE it had been so long, I just assumed you had it back already.
We were glad they spent so much time figuring it out. We are sure one of the problems has existed a long time but wasn't noticed. It isn't like we are driving much these days, and we did have the loaner.
-

Good evening.
-
Those pillows look wonderful, Elmore! I think you'll find them very comfortable.
-
Okay, seven tonight PST and ten EST for a little live test with a song. Be there if you feel like it.

Cool! It's time for me to leave work, so I'll definitely be home in time for it. :)

Gratuitous Post #100!!
-
Be back in a little bit.

Okay, seven tonight PST and ten EST for a little live test with a song. Be there if you feel like it.
On YouTube, too? Or just Facebook?
-
The car drives beautifully and more quietly than it did before we heard the flapping sound.

Thanks.
-
After picking up the car we drove over to the drive through car wash we use. The area to use the vacuums & dry the cars is open again. We didn't need to vacuum the inside as it was very clean. We did use clorox wipes before getting into the car.
-
Then we drove home on the freeway texting the car.
-
Just Facebook, I think, but check YouTube - she didn't tell me whether it was both places. Two minutes from now. :)
-
If you're there, leave nice comments.
-
BK, today at lunch, I actually read that part in Simply where you talk about that song!
-
It did show up on YouTube as well. I kind of prefer it there - Facebook gets very confusing in terms of seeing comments and emojis - sometimes there, sometimes not, and now the minute it goes live it automatically starts close captions even though my default is NOT to do that. So, you have to manually shut them off but the minute you click to expand or whatever, they come back. No such issues on YouTube.
-
That's funny, George.
-
It was nice to hear the melody. :)
-
Watching a tape of the preview now. The subtitle says the show will be at 5 p.m. Pacific time and 8 p.m. Eastern. You say that it's at 6 and 9 p.m.
-
Beautiful song, beautifully done.
-
I was away from computer so missed it live, but I just watched and it looks and sounds fine. Beautiful song!
-
I loved the song tonite BK
-
That is the smallest helping of potato salad I have ever seen.
-
Well, the cat scan went well.
-
Hi, Tom.
-
Well, the cat scan went well.
That's great!
-
Except.....
-
By the time I got home I had a reaction to the dye they gave me.
-
First it was the hot flashes.
-
By the time I got home I had a reaction to the dye they gave me.
:o
-
Then it was the metallic taste in my mouth.
-
Those I expected, but then.......
-
I started getting sick to my stomach.
-
Oh well, I am feeling better now.
-
Oh well, I am feeling better now.
Good! Hopefully, there won't be a relapse!
-
Except.....
I was afraid you were going to add this.
-
By the time I got home I had a reaction to the dye they gave me.

Watching a tape of the preview now. The subtitle says the show will be at 5 p.m. Pacific time and 8 p.m. Eastern. You say that it's at 6 and 9 p.m.
The show itself will be on Sunday at five/eight. The live tests are six/nine, although because we weren't sure we were gonna do it tonight, we moved it to seven to give people warning. Tomorrow will be six/nine and if we do Saturday, the same.
-
I didn't know a reaction could take that long.
-
Oh well, I am feeling better now.
Thank goodness.
-
I wonder if it is the same dye I get for my MRI'S.
-
Glad elmore is home safely and glad TCB is feeling better.
-
Thanks for the nice words about the song.
-
I don't think they have ever told me what to do if I had a reaction. I never asked figuring I would still be there. But then an MRI takes a lot longer than a cat scan.
-
Having some potato chips for my snack.
-
We weren't going to do the live test tonight, but around five I saw Billy Stritch had gone live and was smiling and playing the piano - that's when I decided to do it.
-
FEEL BETTER AND GOOD NEWS TEST RESULT VIBES FOR DR TCB!
-
I have new drops in my eyes and I can't see very well at the moment so...
-
'night
-
Tomorrow, I'm going to my parents' house to help my mom with some things around her house.
-
Hopefully, they won't be too strenuous.
-
;)
-
I'll go over around noon, but around three, my niece and a couple of friends of my mom's will come over and we'll all play Phase 10.
-
I guess they've been playing every Friday for quite a while.
-
I've only gone over there and played for the last couple of weeks.
-
Now that I'm going back to work, tomorrow will be the last time that I'll be able to go.
